Secret Visits

Embarrassed Princess (June 7th, Friday afternoon.)

"Take good care of my sister Dash." Cloud Chaser grinned and waved as Flitter and Rainbow Dash walked out. Cloud Chaser waited for a few minutes before snickering gently and looking to the side of her room, where her closet was, rolling her eyes slightly. "You can come out now. You know it's rude to eavesdrop... Princess."

Twilight opened the door of the closet, blushing brightly as she walked out. "Yeah well... Uh..."

Cloud Chaser grinned at the princess. "Twilight, why don't you want to tell your friends you've been visiting me for the past month? I might start thinking you're ashamed of me."

Twilight frowned at her marefriend. "It's... Complicated. And you're one to talk! "Maybe I should find a special somepony." You have a special somepony!"

Cloud chaser could only keep smiling, Twilight was so cute when she was bothered. "Do I? I can't tell anyone I know about dating the princess, to everyone else I'm still a free agent. Maybe I should ask Soarin to visit more often..."

"You wouldn't dare!"

Cloud Chaser tried to shrug and scowled. "Ugh! I'm getting worse Twilight! I can't even shrug at you!"

Twilight forgot about their argument and rushed over to her marefriend. "Shh, shh, no you're just tired from the argument wit... Oh, you were just complaining not actually saying that."

Cloud Chaser giggled. "Yes, but do that again, it's cute when you're motherly."

Twilight fluttered her wings in annoyance. "Well, I wouldn't have to be if you weren't so..."

"Cute? Ravishingly beautiful? The light of your life?"

Twilight couldn't help but grin at Cloud Chaser. "I was going to say a brat."

"I don't think you actually had an end game for that sentence so you settled on brat."

Twilight giggled. "Ahh, to think when I showed up the first day I assumed you'd be a loud brash speedster."

Cloud Chaser shook her head gently. "When you need to be the emotional anchor for your little sister you need to grow up quick. Looking at it that way I'm quite a bit older than you Twilight."

"You -are- older than me."

Cloud Chaser grinned. "And don't you forget it, missy! Respect your elders!" Twilight grinned and looked out the door. "Don't you need to get going to Applejack's and Coco's party?"

Twilight nodded. "Yeah, but I can teleport, I have a few more minutes at least. And besides, I don't think they'll make the big announcement until later in the party so I can be a little late for you." She pulled up a small stool to sit up next to her marefriend.

"Announcement?"

"Yeah, they're announcing that they're getting engaged."

"Oh, how nice they told you beforehand."

"They didn't, Cadence kind of figured it out and put the cart ahead of herself in sending me a letter about it. Princess and love and all that."

"Ahh, that makes sense."

"Now you're sure the last spell didn't help you move at all."

Cloud Chaser nodded. "Yeah, I told you that Twilight... But don't feel bad, you did your best, really. Like I told Flitter I can handle a year of recovery." Twilight nodded but leaned in, nuzzling at Cloud Chaser's neck, one of the few areas she knew was safe to not hurt her.

"I know but I want to help..."

Cloud Chaser grinned and nodded gently. "I know you do and it's appreciated, but there's not much you can do now is there?"

"I could order Minuette to put you in a year of time bubble!"

"I have a feeling the logistics of that would not work out..."

Twilight sighed. "I know..."

"So, beautiful, you going to finally tell me what "complicated" means? I mean I don't mind so long as I'm stuck here but after I get out I'd not be a fan of sneaking around."

Twilight blushed gently at Cloud Chaser's favorite pet name for her but sighed. "All right. Well, you see me and Starlight broke up recently."

"Oh, how recently before you started visiting me regularly?" Twilight mumbled a number that Cloud Chaser couldn't hear and she frowned at Twilight. "Twilight... It wasn't after was it?"

"No! Of course not!"

"Then how long?"

"Uh... A... Er... A few days..."

Cloud Chaser snickered and Twilight blushed brightly. "So, I'm your rebound mare eh? You come here, get some affection, then go off to the rest of the world!"

Twilight smiled and shook her head. "You know better."

"I do. You're not like that. At least if you are kudos on tricking everyone so long." Twilight giggled and was about to give Cloud Chaser a shove before stopping herself, lowering her hoof and her ears, sighing. "My goodness, why is everyone taking this worse than I am? You, Flitter, Rainbow Dash, dad, the rest of the Wonderbolts."

Twilight smiled widely, somewhat surprising Cloud Chaser. "Oh! Psychiatrists call it..." Cloud Chaser raised an eyebrow and Twilight giggled slightly. "It's because we care for you and we don't like seeing you hurt."

Cloud Chaser giggled. "Well, I know that professor!"

Twilight rolled her eyes. "I prefer beautiful to professor."

"Ok beautiful professor."

Twilight giggled. "I'll take it."

Cloud Chaser looked around the room conspiriatority. "Sooo... Can I ask why? If it's not too sensitive."

"Why what?"

"Why did you and Starlight break up?"

Twilight blushed brightly. "The potion."

"What potion?"

Twilight swallowed and scratched the back of her neck. "Oh... Uh... Well... She... Was kinda into some bedroom stuff that I wasn't into..."

"Ah."

"I thought she wanted the stallionhood potion just out of magical curiosity! Or maybe general curiosity bu..."

"Twilight!" Twilight blushed brightly at the interruption and fell silent. "I really don't need the details! I get it!"

Twilight nodded again. "Sorry... I still..."

"Yeah, you're still a little awkward when it comes to pure information versus how much people actually want to know, I know. Like that one time when you hadn't solved a friendship problem so you created a problem to tell Celestia about?"

Twilight groaned. "Did Rainbow Dash tell you about that one."

"Yep."

A knock on the door interrupted their conversation when a nurse walked in. "Excuse me princess, Miss Cloud Chaser, but it's time for another injection."

Cloud Chaser groaned loudly. "How can these hurt so much if I can't even feel my back!?"

Twilight bit her bottom lip, looking between the nurse and Cloud Chaser. "Do you want me to stay?"

Cloud Chaser grinned a bit. "I'd really prefer you didn't, I'd like to keep some of my dignity."

Twilight nodded solemnly and leaned in, kissing Cloud Chaser on the cheek. "I'll come back to see you tomorrow, ok?"

"I'll look forward to it."
