//------------------------------// // Chapter One // Story: That Odd Stallion // by butboifranko //------------------------------// It was quiet and dark as a grey pegasus slept soundlessly in her soft bed, dreaming pleasant dreams of her deepest fantasies, mostly involving muffins. The mail mare's blonde mane hanged off the side of the bed, including her tail as she began to stir. A loud beeping struck the mare's ears as she stretched out towards the alarm clock, but instead tumbled out of her bed bumping into the small table, collapsing on top of her, and the once loud alarm clock breaking into pieces and finally silent. The dazed pegasus heard hoof steps running down the hall and soon her door was open, revealing a frightened filly. "Mommy! Are you alright?" The small filly ran over to her mother and tried to help her up. "I'm alright Dinky, I just urm…broke the alarm clock." Derpy got back on her hooves and began to stretch. Derpy looked down at the broken alarm clock and picked up pieces with her hoofs and sighed. She began to put the pieces in the trash can so Dinky wouldn't step on them and get hurt. Dinky began to help her and not after long the pieces were all in the trash. Derpy turned around to face her daughter. "Do you want some breakfast now Dinky? We can have your favourite dish…" "By my favourite dish, do you mean scrumptious muffins?" Dinky said with sarcasm. "Oh well, I thought you'd liked pancakes, but muffins are good too." Derpy joked. "Can we have both Mommy?" Dinky asked as she began to make her way to the door. "Totally!" Derpy followed her daughter out the door and down to the kitchen to make breakfast. She began to make the pancakes and after not long, the two mares enjoyed a delicious breakfast consisting of pancakes, muffins and apple juice. Derpy got up when she finished and started clearing the table, occasionally bumping into things on the way to the sink. Dinky looked at the clock and horror came across her face. "Mom I'm going to be late for school!" Dinky began to rush to her room to get her saddle bag. While Derpy finished clearing the table and ran to her room to get her mail bag and hat. "Come Dinky, I'll fly you to school!" Dinky came back out of her room and looked at her Mom a little frightened. "Are you sure Mommy? Aren't you going to be late too?" "Of course not, I don't have to be at the post office until nine o'clock! Now come, you're the one who's going to be late." Derpy lowered her body so the small unicorn can climb onto her back. Dinky began to get comfortable as her mother began to make her way out the door and prepare to take off to her school. Derpy was soon airborne and both mares were flying through the sky, swaying a little dangerously. Dinky held on tightly so she wouldn't fall, although she knew her mother would catch her, but she was still scared. Derpy tried her best to fly as fast as possible and at the same time, as safe as possible. Considering she had her daughter on her back. After not long they arrived at Dinky's school and Derpy landed a little uneasily on the ground, as Dinky leapt off her mothers back. "Have a good day at school Dinky! I'll see you later today." Derpy kissed her young filly on the forehead before preparing to take off. "Bye Mommy, I love you!" Dinky hugged her Mom, before running off to class. "Love you too!" Derpy shouted, to make sure her little bundle of joy heard her. Derpy stayed on the ground and watched her daughter run into the school's doors, and soon the bell rang, telling Derpy that Dinky wasn't late. Knowing that Dinky wasn't late and was now in school, Derpy took off back into the sky to make her way to work. The sky was a little cloudy, and as Derpy flew swaying back and forth she saw a patrol of weather ponies preparing to conduct some kind of weather. She hoped it wasn't a storm, considering the fact that she had already had difficulties flying through even the most beautiful day. Being in a storm would just be tragic not only for her, but probably also for the ponies that came across her path. Derpy arrived at the post office and swept down to the ground but landed face first in the dirt. Derpy shook her head back forth, shaking the dirt out of her mane, then making her way through the door of the post office. The Office wasn't very crowded but the other mail ponies were in a line, waiting for the mare at the front desk to give them their mail that they had to deliver for the day. Derpy stepped into the line and waited patiently for her turn. After a good ten minutes Derpy was at the front desk and was given her bundle of mail. "Thank you Trixie, have a good day!" Derpy didn't bother waiting for the blue unicorn to respond to her and began to make her way out the door but heard Trixie grumbling, "It's, the Great and POWERFUL Trixie…." Derpy felt sorry for her, ever since the incident with the ursa minor. The boss gave her a job to be the mare at the front desk that gave out the mail. Derpy guessed he felt bad too. The mail that Derpy had been given was already in her mail bag as she stuck her hoof into it to find her first piece of mail that she would deliver. She pulled out a envelope that said it goes to Ponyville Library. Derpy hesitated for a moment, trying to remember where the Ponyville Library was, but after a moment she remembered and she took off to deliver the envelope. Derpy flew above the rooftops as she made her way to Ponyville Library, looking down at the crowds of lingering ponies that trotted along the dirt roads. Derpy looked all below her and noticed somepony and gasped. Her wings stuck to her side, and Derpy fell into a cart of carrots and before the owner can notice who had crashed and broke her cart, Derpy slipped behind a barrel and glanced at the pony who made her crash. The pony was a stallion with a light brown coat, and dark brown mane and his cutie mark was a hourglass. Everyday she saw him trotting along somewhere different everyday smiling, but today he looked like he was in a rush. Derpy thought that maybe he was late for work and brushed it off. Derpy didn't know what the stallions name was, and she had asked her friends and also other residents of Ponyville but whenever she did they would tell her that he was odd, abnormal, out of the ordinary and a whole bunch of other words that she had forgotten, but she knew that they were saying that he was…odd. In Derpy's eyes, he looked like a normal stallion but she just presumed that everyone has different opinions on other ponies. Even if they all have the same opinion. Derpy decided to shrug off the so called 'odd' stallion and instead make haste with her deliveries. She took off and continued her way to Ponyville Library to make her delivery. ~~~~~~~ After a few successful deliveries, and a lot of deliveries that went dastardly wrong, Derpy looked up at the sky as she began to make her way to her last delivery for the day. The weather ponies were placing dark clouds in the once blue sky. Derpy winced and scrunched up her stout but continued forward. Derpy flew faster as she continued her way to the strange location that the package was to be sent to. She had never been to this place before, or heard of it. Tardis…what in Equestria is a Tardis? Luckily she had bumped into a peculiar mare and she had given her directions. Derpy didn't catch the nice ponies name, but she said that it looked like a blue phone booth kind of and it's just past Sweet Apple Acres. Derpy flew over the Apple families farm and once past the large field of apples and the barn, she began to keep at least one eye out for a blue shape. After a few minutes of searching for the Tardis, Derpy felt a rain drop on her nose, and she looked up at the sky. Rain was beginning to fall, meaning that she didn't have much time before the storm would start completely. After a few more minutes of searching for the Tardis, Derpy began to panic at the thought that she might've gotten lost…which isn't unusual for her, in fact she lost her directions on a daily basis! But this time, there was a storm, and there was no place to take shelter in…or at least she didn't think so. Derpy shook her head and flew lower to the ground and continued flying over the fields looking for the blue Tardis. The rain began to pour down onto Derpy and everything surrounding her when, as if it was perfect timing…Derpy finally saw a blue box and she sped down to the ground as the rain struck her coat, dripping off her body. She attempted to land on all four hooves but instead wobbled in the air and crashed into the door of the blue box. Derpy fell onto her back, as thunder began to roar and lightning struck and lit up the sky. Derpy rushed to her hoofs and began knocking frantically, and not long after a figure opened the door and to Derpy's shock, the figure grabbed her and pulled her inside. Derpy began waving her hooves around and flapping her wings to try and get out of the strong ponies grip, but she couldn't. She began to feel frightened, but mostly angry. "Let me go! LET me go!" Derpy began to panic but before she was able to say anything else, her mouth was greeted with a gentle hoof. "Calm down…" The stranger spoke, but Derpy still wasn't able to see the strangers face. "Now listen here, what is your name?" "My, my name is Derpy Hooves. What's yo-" The stranger cut her off. "What is your business here Derpy Hooves? Who sent you?" The strangers voice was strange, it was a accent she had never heard before. "Urm, well I'm here to deliver you a package, and the Post Office sent me…I guess?" Derpy got out of the the floor and walked forward to try and see the strangers face. "If you don't mind me asking, what is your name?" Derpy asked firmly. "Oh, I'm dreadfully sorry Derpy Hooves." The stranger walked into the light and to Derpy's surprise, it was the odd stallion that she saw earlier that day. "Hey! I know you…but, I don't know your name." Derpy exclaimed, now a little overwhelmed. "Really? Well, my name is the Doctor. But I don't think we have ever met, how do you know me exactly? Were the ponies in Ponyville talking about me again?" The Doctor asked. "We haven't actually met, yes but I see you trotting around everyday, and no they haven't…well, not really. Only when I asked them what your name was." Derpy admitted. "Oh…I see. So, what did the other ponies say about me…wait, never mind. What ever they said is the least of my worries. Oh yes! You said you were delivering a package for me, is that correct?" Derpy had almost forgotten about the package. She put her hoof into her mail bag and took out the box. "Yes, that is correct. Here you go Doctor…is your name just The Doctor?" "Thank you, and if you like you call me Doctor Whooves." Doctor Whooves said cheerfully as he began to open the package. "Well, I guess I should be going…now." Derpy said awkwardly, mostly because she didn't want to leave, still intrigued about…Doctor Whooves. "Are you sure? It is quite a storm out there. You are welcome to stay until it clears if you would like." Doctor Whooves said warmly. Derpy was a little overwhelmed at the option of staying in Doctor Whooves so called home for some odd reason. "That is very generous of you Doctor, I suppose I can stay until the storm clears, thank you." Derpy said a little muffled as she hid her blush with her hoof. "No problem at all Derpy Hooves, would you like something to drink or perhaps something to eat?" Doctor Whooves put the items back into the box as he awaited Derpy's response. "That sounds great! I'm actually really hungry." "Then it's a date, follow me Derpy Hooves." Doctor Whooves began to make her way away from the entrance of the Tardis and Derpy followed willingly, curious to see how big this Tardis was in the inside, but also flattered at what Doctor Whooves had said. Derpy followed Doctor Whooves into a small kitchen that had a table and a few cushions, while the rest of the room was white and had basic kitchen accessories that anypony would have in their kitchen. Derpy sat down on a cushion and looked at the stallion, but glanced down in a blush when he met gaze with her. "So Derpy Hooves, do you mind tea and muffins?" "That sounds great Doctor Whooves, and urm…you can just call me Derpy." "Oh well, alright Derpy!" Doctor Whooves turned on the kettle over the fire place and got a plate of muffins and set it on the table and sat down across from Derpy. They just stared at each other for a few minutes, both their faces placed on one of their hooves. Derpy just stared at his eyes, they were a blue color, she wasn't sure if they were light blue, dark blue, cerulean, cyan, aqua…all she knew was that she was lost in them. "Derpy…may I ask you a question?" Derpy snapped out of the glance that was being held between her and the Doctor's eyes. "Oh urm, sure. What is it?" "What is wrong with your eyes…I've never seen a pony with those kind of eyes before." Doctor Whooves asked curiously. "I don't really like to talk about it." Derpy said sheepishly. "Well, I really like them…their fascinating, and quite unique." Derpy blushed at the Doctor's kind compliment, she'd never gotten such a lovely compliment referring to her eyes. The kettle began to whistle and Doctor Whooves got up from the cushion to take it off the from over the fire place. Derpy watched him set two tea cups onto a silver tray along side with pot of tea, then as he made his way back to the table. "How do you like your tea Derpy?" Doctor asked as he began to pour the tea. "Oh, I like my tea with two spoons of sugar, and milk." "Same as I! I really do love tea you know. It always calms my nerves when I'm working." Doctor Whooves finished making Derpy's tea and handed it over to her, as he began to make his own. "What do you do for work Doctor Whooves? I always see you around town, do you work in town or…somewhere else?" "You'd never believe me if I told you what I do for a living Derpy. It's a odd job." Doctor Whooves said with a crooked smile as he took a gulp of tea. "I'd believe you Doctor, and if you tell me I promise I won't tell anypony." Derpy said with a smile. "Well, since you want to know…" "What do you do Doctor?" Derpy asked excitedly. "I travel through time and space, doing tasks in the past and future, and also present of course. It is rather a extraordinary job!" Doctor Whooves exclaimed with pride. Derpy stared blankly at Doctor Whooves as he finished, confused but at the same time, she was intrigued. "Wait, how do you travel through time and space?" WAIT, can you teleport?" Derpy asked with admiration. "Not exactly by my self , I use this here Tardis! It may be my home, but it's also how I travel to past and the future and such." "Oh…I think I get it. So urm, what kind of jobs do you do when you time travel?" "Well dear Derpy, it can be anything really. It can be deliveries, assistance, saving a nation from a unknown race, the possibilities are endless! It may sound unbelievable to be able to time travel, in fact that's what I thought at first, but now look at me. I'm traveling through time and space for a living!" Doctor Whooves took another gulp from his tea and began to fill the cup back up with more. "That sounds much more fun then my job, all I do is deliver mail and packages and stuff." Derpy said blankly. "Well at least you get to wear that dazzling hat!" Doctor Whooves pointed at the hat that laid on the floor beside Derpy's mail bag. "It's not that dazzling…it just a plan mail mare hat." Derpy took a big gulp of her tea, it was delicious but was little cold. The Doctor laughed, and after that he and Derpy continued talking more about what their lives are like, but not getting too personal. Derpy loved hearing Doctor Whooves fascinating stories about traveling through time and space and saving nations from…things. She felt strange around the Doctor, she felt…mushy inside, she felt like she had known him forever but knew nothing about him. She felt, that maybe she had a crush on him? It would make sense, whenever she saw him trotting around and what not she would feel the feelings she was feeling now, but not as strong. Derpy giggled as Doctor Whooves finished another story. "That was a really cool story! You really do have the best job in the world you know." "Thanks Derpy, your actually one of the first ponies that actually listened to my stories and didn't call me weird, and actually believed me!" The Doctor smiled but lowered his head as he scratched the back of his head. "Well, I know how you feel. Ponies don't always take me seriously, so I know where you coming from and stuff." Derpy and Doctor Whooves shared a smile as they glared at each other. Derpy broke the glare and looked up at the wall and noticed a clock. It was around the time that Dinky would be getting home. "Sweet Celestia, I need to get going Doctor Whooves. I need to be get home before my daughter does." Derpy said in panic. "Oh, you have a daughter? Well…anyway, that's perfectly fine Derpy. I'll walk you to the door." Doctor Whooves and Derpy began to make their way to the door. Derpy didn't want to leave but she needed to be home for Dinky. Both ponies got to the door, and Derpy opened it. The storm had finally finished, and the sky was beginning to clear back to it's normal blue self. Derpy turned around to face Doctor Whooves. "Thanks a bunch for the tea and muffins Doctor, and also letting me stay here till the storm stopped." "No problem Derpy, it was really nice meeting you." Doctor Whooves trotted up to Derpy and passed her the mail bag and her hat. Derpy was about to take off when she heard the Doctor cough. "Before you go Derpy, do you mind if we…well, get together some other time?" Doctor Whooves lowered his head, but smiled. "Do you mean…like a, date?" Derpy asked excitedly. "Ye-yes." "Wow! I would love that, when would you like to meet up?" Derpy asked him, her heart skipping beats. "Well, how about Friday, so you can get a babysitter for your daughter, and such." "Sounds great! I'll see you on Friday." "Great, see you then Derpy!" Derpy spread out her wings and took off into the sky to make her way back to home. As she swayed uneasily, she couldn't help but squeal with joy…she had a date with Doctor Whooves! ~~~~~~~ Derpy flew through the sky on her way to her next delivery, enjoying the cool breeze that whipped her mane back as she soared wobbly through the sky. She's never been so happy in such a long time, she had something to look forward to the following day, something she's been waiting for forever. Derpy had actually been doing better in her deliveries, although she was a little distracted at times. Her and Doctor Whooves would be going on their date tomorrow and it was the only thing she could think of. After a short flight, Derpy landed awkwardly in front of the door of Rainbow Dash's cloud home. Derpy knocked a few times and soon Rainbow came to the door. "Oh hey there Derpy." Rainbow grumbled. "Hey there Rainbow Dash, here's your mail." Derpy said cheerfully while she handed Rainbow her mail. "Thanks Derpy, so…how have you been doing?" Rainbow said as she began looking through her mail. "Since you asked…I've been great! How about you?" Derpy looked at the cyan pegasus and realized she didn't look to good. "I've…I've been fine Derpy." Rainbow mumbled. "You don't look fine Rainbow, is something wrong?" Derpy asked concerned. "It's…just that, well me and Fluttershy…" "What's wrong? Did you guys break up!?" Derpy burst out in shock. "No! Thank Celestia, no. It's just that we had a fight recently…and we haven't talked to each other in a few days." Rainbow said looking down at the cloud floor. "What happened? What were you fighting about?" Derpy said putting a hoof to the back of her head. "Me and Fluttershy just had a disagreement and I kind of hurt her feelings." "Oh…I'm sorry to hear about that Rainbow Dash. I'm sure you two will work it out, just apologize to her, Fluttershy will for sure forgive you!" Rainbow looked at Derpy and shook her head. "It's not that simple Derpy, I really hurt her feelings and I don't know how to make it up to her." Rainbow choked out. Derpy looked down at the sad cyan pegasus and put a hoof to her chin. She tried to think up a solution, but all she was able to think of was her date tomorrow with Doctor Whooves...wait, the date with Doctor Whooves! "Rainbow, why don't you invite Fluttershy to go on a double date!" Derpy said excitedly. "A date sounds like a good idea, but with who?" Rainbow asked. "Me and Doctor Whooves! Me and him are going on a date tomorrow and you and Fluttershy can join in." "Wow, that actually sounds pretty cool! Fluttershy will probably be nervous about the Doctor but I'm sure she'll let me take her…how about I come by your house later today and let you know if me and her will come. I'll go over and ask her now." Rainbow suggested. "I can come Rainbow Dash, I actually have Fluttershys mail. So I'll just tag along with you, if you don't mind." "Oh, that is a better idea…well, since your tagging along lets get going!" Rainbow exclaimed. "Okay!" Derpy moved out of Rainbow Dash's way so she could take off. Derpy took off into the air behind Rainbow and the two pegasai began to make their way to Fluttershys cabin. Derpy had a some difficulty keeping up with the speedster pegasus but managed to keep a few feet behind her. Rainbow and Derpy arrived at Fluttershys cabin after a short flight and Rainbow knocked on the door, and Fluttershy came to the door and her face looked a little distraught, Derpy took a few steps back to give the couple some space. "Fluttershy…I came to apologize for what happened. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings…" "Well, you did. And a apology isn't going to fix it." Fluttershy stammered, obviously feeling guilty for saying what she had just said. "Fluttershy, you know I would never want to hurt your feelings. I know what I said offended you, and I've been really regretting it…and to make up for it, I came to ask if you would come with me on a date, well a double date." Rainbow said warmly, beginning to approach the timid pegasus. "A…double date? With who?" Fluttershy asked quietly. "Derpy and Doctor Whooves." Rainbow replied, now just in front of Fluttershy. "Who…who is Doctor Whooves?" Fluttershy questioned. "He's a stallion Derpy's liked for…like forever." Rainbow looked behind her at Derpy, who was blushing furiously. "Oh…I see." "So…do you forgive me and accept the date?" Rainbow asked nervously. Fluttershy looked down at the ground and thought for a few moments, and brought her head back with a small smile. "Alright, I forgive you Dashie…and I accept the date too but, can we just have a date with just us? I of course, think a double date is a lovely idea but, I think it would be better with just us." Fluttershy said shyly. "That's cool Shy, and thank you for forgiving me…I promise not to hurt your feelings again." Rainbow Dash moved into Fluttershy and gave her a hug and Fluttershy hugged her back. Derpy stood behind them awkwardly, but happy that they made amends. She watch them break the hug and share a quick kiss. Derpy saw Fluttershy whisper something into Rainbow's ear and Rainbow nodded afterwards. The two pegasi began to make their way in to the cabin together, closing the door behind them. Derpy flinched and remembered Fluttershys mail. She scuttled to the door and just slid the few envelopes under the door. Derpy sighed with relief and took off into the sky once again to continue making her deliveries, leaving the two pegasi to do their…what ever their were doing. ~~~~~~~ Dinky sat on the floor of her room and played with her toys when she heard the front door open and she immediately got up and galloped down the hall. She saw her mother coming through the door and resting her mailbag and hat on the hanger. "Hey Dinky!" Derpy said cheerfully. "Hi mommy! How was work today?" Dinky asked excitedly. "It was fine, how was your day at school?" Derpy asked as she made her way to the kitchen as Dinky followed. "Today was great! We learned how to levitate things, which was really cool!" "That sounds really fun, do you want a snack?" Derpy asked amused. "I'm alright mommy. I'll be in my room playing." "Oh…alright." Derpy watched her young filly run down the hall back to her room, hoping she remembered what today was. Derpy looked at the clock, it was about three o'clock and in a few hours Carrot Top would be coming by to watch Dinky for the night, and she would be out on her date with the Doctor. Derpy was so excited, that she felt calm…which didn't make much sense, but it didn't bother her. She hadn't been on a date since before Dinky was born, she was a little nervous. But she did feel comfortable around Doctor Whooves, and she was sure she felt comfortable around her. At least she hoped so. ~~~~~~~ Derpy heard a knock on the door and went to open it, Carrot Top had arrived to baby sit Dinky and that was her signal to make her way to the Tardis to meet up with the Doctor. Derpy thanked Carrot Top before leaving, and kissed Dinky good night and after took off wobbly into the clear sky. She had quite some distance to travel, and she did not want to keep the Doctor waiting. Derpy's usually tangled blonde mane was combed and flowed as the wind passed through it, making it a little messy but not as tangled as it usually is. She began to feel a little nervous as she flew over Sweet Apple Acres and was almost at the Tardis. Should she had worn something? It's not like ponies usually wear clothes but, they do sometimes on nice occasions. Derpy brushed it off and spotted the Tardis below and swooped down toward the ground and made her way to the door. Derpy took a deep breathe and knocked on the door. "Ah! Good evening Derpy, are you ready for our date?" Derpy looked up at the Doctor, he was wearing a green tie and a white collar. "Yes I am, and I like you tie. You look very handsome." The Doctor blushed a little and smiled. "Thank you Derpy, I love what you did with your mane. You look beautiful." Doctor Whooves responded, leaving the grey pegasus blushing as well. "That's very sweet of you Doctor…so, what did you have in mind for our date?" "Well, I thought we go for dinner and then come back here after. Dose that sound satisfactory?" "Actually, it sounds great!" Derpy exclaimed. "Then it's set, shall we?" Doctor Whooves reached out for Derpy's hoof. "Yes." Derpy responded blushing, reaching out to take hold of the Doctor's hoof. Doctor Whooves chuckled and began to lead Derpy to behind the Tardis. Behind the blue box was a strange contraption, it looked like the kind of machine that the Flim Flam brothers had, but Derpy knew this one didn't make cider. The Doctor leapt in the small machine and made a hoof motion for Derpy to come in too. Derpy took a seat beside the Doctor and she heard a rumbling noise as the Doctor pressed a button and put his hoofs on the wheel. He pressed his other hoof on a rectangular thing on the bottom and with that, they were in motion. Derpy was awestruck, she had never been in such a machine! "Fascinating isn't it? I got the idea from those cider making ponies that came along not long ago." The Doctor stated. "Fascinating? This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen! What is it called?" Derpy asked still in utter awestruck. "Well, I call it a 'car'." "That is just too cool. You know Doctor Whooves, this is making the night already special." Derpy said quietly. "That's good to hear, but I still have a few tricks up my sleeves!" The Doctor said laughing. "What sleeves? You not wearing a shirt…" "It's just a expression Derpy." Doctor Whooves said chuckling. Derpy made out a small "oh" and lowered her head laughing. Both the Doctor and Derpy talked and told jokes on the way to the restaurant as they drove in the so called 'car'. Derpy hadn't had this much fun in forever, and by the looks of it…Doctor Whooves was having a blast as well. They arrived at the restaurant and the Doctor hopped out of the car and went to Derpy's side and helped her down. Other ponies around them looked amazed at the contraption as Doctor Whooves lead Derpy into the restaurant. They sat down at a table for two and continued on with their talking, and soon ordering their meals. Derpy looked around the restaurant and noticed Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash on the other end of the restaurant, both looking like they used to look…happy. They didn't notice her but it didn't bother her. They were continuing enjoying their date and she realized, she should be doing the same. After a while their meals came to their table and both began eating, while still talking. They didn't talk about anything specific but they always thought of something to talk about. A few times they ended up talking about different kinds of muffin, kinds of creatures that Doctor Whooves came across while on his adventures, the mishap that Derpy got into while her deliveries because of her poor eye sight, and practically anything else that came to mind. Doctor and Derpy finished their meals and desert and paid the bill and began to make their way out of the restaurant. They boarded back onto the car and began to make their way back to the Tardis. After another long drive and a line of hilarious conversations they arrived and began to make their way inside the Tardis. "That was a hilarious story Doctor, I can't believe they tried to make you pay the fee in bananas!" Derpy said laughing. "I know right? Quite ridiculous! Huh, so…if you wouldn't mind Derpy, please follow me." "Of course." Derpy followed Doctor Whooves down the hall into what looked like a living room. It looked a little fancy for a pony that lived in a phone booth, that was surprisingly bigger then it looked. "Sit right there Derpy, I'll go get us some tea. Be right back." "Alright, Doctor Whooves!" Derpy replied chirpy. The Doctor made his way to the kitchen, leaving Derpy beginning to become a tad bit nervous. She was in his house, at night, after a date, and both being a couple now…she presumed at least. What would happen from here? Derpy looked down the hall and saw Doctor Whooves coming back carrying a tray with the tea. "Here we are, I already prepared them." The Doctor said as he rested the tray on the table in front of the couch. "Thank you." Derpy said as she reached out for her tea. "So…what now Doctor Whooves? Anything else up your sleeves you haven't pulled out yet?" "Well, I don't know actually…I thought we'd have some tea and just go with the flow I guess." The Doctor responded with a smile. "Sounds reasonable." Derpy took a sip of her tea, and looked at the Doctor as he gulped his tea down. He looked at her, and their gaze's met. Derpy didn't blush but she put her tea cup down on the table, and the Doctor did the same. Derpy's heart was beginning to race when she noticed Doctor Whooves scoot closer to her, her tail flicked as they were just inches away from each others mouths. Derpy was going frantic, she couldn't stand this tension that was resting over them. The Doctor moved into Derpy and kissed her softly on the lips, and Derpy kissed him back softly. Derpy felt a cold shock on her back as they continued kissing softly, getting a little more deeper after each kiss. = The kiss became deeper and more passionate, making them both have to stop for a split second for breathe. Derpy's grey wings flared up, she was embarrassed but she knew that both their eyes were closed so she didn't really care…she was really enjoying this kiss, if this was what the Doctor mean't with going with flow... she approved. Derpy couldn't help herself and rested herself on top of the Doctor and both laid on the couch in a sweet embrace, kissing tenderly but nothing to intense, just enough to send shivers down their spines, and for a small fire to spark up inside. Doctor Whooves put his hooves on Derpy's waist while the grey mare's hooves were already around his neck. At that point they were completely out of breathe and Derpy's wings were fully extended, that made her blush as they broke the kiss. Knowing that he would see them now. "Wow…that was, amazing Derpy." Doctor Whooves said quietly. "Yeah, it was." Derpy whispered, blushing a shade of red. Doctor Whooves noticed her wings and chuckled, now acknowledging her embarrassment. "What's with your wings there Derpy?" He said teasing. "Oh…that, well it's kind of a natural reaction for when…" "Your turned on?" Doctor said completing Derpy's sentence, making Derpy laugh a little. "Yeah, pretty much." Derpy responded with a muffled voice, but also a smile. Derpy looked at the clock that hung on the wall. It was already past midnight and she sighed. "Doctor Whooves, tonight has been really amazing…but it's really late and I should be making my way home." Derpy said a little sad. "Why…why don't you spend the night here? You don't have work tomorrow do you?" He said looking into Derpy's wonky eyes, that he seemed to be in love with. "Well, no…" "Then just stay with me for the night, there's no pressure." Doctor Whooves said reassuringly. "Fine, I'll stay but only because I really like you." Derpy admitted. "I really like you too Derpy, I really do." Doctor said with a yawn, but he meant it. "Why don't we go to bed, you seem tired…and I'm tired myself." Derpy suggested. "Sounds like a good plan to me. This way Derpy." Doctor Whooves lead Derpy to the bedroom and both of them laid underneath the covers and snuggled up close to each other and after a few minutes, the two fell asleep. The next morning came by far too quickly as Derpy woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside. She blinked her stray bismus eyes open to be greeted with the Doctor's still closed eye lids. Derpy snuggled up closer into him and rested her head underneath his chin. She felt so peaceful and content as she felt his grip tighten around her, and listening to the silence in the room. After a few minutes Doctor Whooves woke up and smiled at Derpy, making the grey pegasus blush. "Good morning Derpy, did you sleep alright?" "I slept great…how about you?" Derpy whispered. "Spontaneous." Doctor Whooves said nudging Derpy's nose. "Doctor, I would love to stay but I should be getting home. I can't leave Dinky with Carrot Top forever." Derpy stated with a chuckle. "What a shame, but of course…I understand. We should really get together soon though." The Doctor said letting go of Derpy. "Of course we will, why don't I come over on Monday?" Derpy suggested. "Sounds great. I'll walk you to the door." Doctor Whooves got out of the bed and shook his mane and began to make his way to the front door, as Derpy walked with him a few inches behind. They came to the door and the Doctor gave Derpy a kiss and a hug. "I'll see you on Monday Doctor." Derpy said quietly. "Till then Derpy." Derpy opened the door and took off into the dark sky to make her way back home, to await for her next date with Doctor Whooves.
