Sibling Revivals

Wait....WHAT?!

Light was lost in thought as he walked down the street to his apartment. So lost in fact, that he didn't notice the person standing in the shadows of the alley as he passed. What caught his attention was the sound of a coin being flipped. He stopped his shoulders tightening slightly.

"What are you doing here, Capper?" Light asked as he slowly turned to the sound.

"Hello, to you too, old friend," the thin man said as he stepped out of the alley, and onto the sidewalk.

"What do you want?" Light asked his fists clenching.

"Can't a guy come by to see an old friend?" Capper smiled, holding his arms wide as if asking for a hug.

"Last time you came to see me I ended up in a world of trouble," Light said with a smirk before extending his hand.

"What can I say?" Capper chuckled as he shook the larger man's hand.

"How about sorry?"

"Didn't I already say that though?"

"No I don't think you did."

"Well," Capper shrugged as he leaned against the wall of the building. "I am sorry."

"Apology accepted," Light said placing his hands on his hips. "So why are you here? A little early for a social visit isn't it?"

"Actually," Capper began flipping his coin again. "I've come with a warning. King blames you for that little snafu at Eisberg."

"Hey," Light took a step towards Capper his blood starting to boil. "I did my job! I got them the means of getting in. HIS guys are the ones that fucked up and got caught!"

"Easy, easy," Capper said holding his hands up defensively. "I'm on your side here. I'm just telling you what I know. You should watch your back. I'm positive that King is going to send someone after you."

"And I'll send'm right back to that asshole," Light growled as he turned away from Capper. "I told King I was done after that job."

"Look, Light," Capper said moving around to get in front of Light. "You and I both know that King was trying to make a power play with this move. Now he needs a scapegoat. I'm afraid he's gonna come after you hard man."

Light looked Capper in the eyes for a minute before grunting. He pushed past the smaller man, and took a few steps before turning his head slightly. "Thanks for the warning, Capper. I'll see you around."

Capper sighed as he watched the man go. After a few minutes he pulled out his phone and placed a call. As soon as the other line picked up he spoke only four words before hanging up.

"My place, twenty minutes."

-Light's apartment almost noon-

"Ok," muttered to himself as he patted his pockets. "Got my keys, wallet, phone. Yeah that's it."

Heading out the door he locked it behind him. Making his way down the stairs he found Mrs. Greenleaf the land lady. She was an older lady somewhere in her late sixties. He'd been staying in her building for almost six years now. She'd always acted like a grandmother around him. She was nice enough to let him do work around the building whenever he was going to be short on rent. Today she was trying to lift a rather large package from the floor.

"Let me get that for you, Mrs. Greenleaf," Light said as he continued down the stairs.

"Oh thank you, deary," she said with a smile as she stood back up. "Now be careful. It's heavier than it looks."

"Yes, Ma'am," Light said as he knelt down and picked up the large box.

"Just bring it in the office."

It was quite well known by the tenants that Mrs. Greenleaf was an excellent baker. One could always expect to smell fresh baked cookies whenever entering her office. Sure enough when Light passed through the door he was greeted with the smell of chocolate chip cookies. Setting the box down where he was told to, Light turned around to find Mrs. Greenleaf standing there holding up a plate of cookies.

"Thanks, Mrs. Greenleaf, but I can't," Light said as he tried to push the plate back. "I've got to get going."

"Oh?" she asked with a slight frown.

"Yes, Ma'am," Light nodded. "I'm meeting someone for lunch."

At that statement Mrs. Greenleaf's face lit up with a smile.

-Canterlot High-

"Woah," Rainbowdash cried in awe. "Look at that bike!"

All of the girls who were sitting around the base of the new Wonder Colt statue for lunch turned in the direction Rainbowdash was pointing. They caught just the barest of glimpses as the bike accelerated down the street. As the rest returned to their conversations, the attention of one was caught by something else.

"Hey, Susnet," Twilight said, adjusting her glasses as she squinted, while looking down the stone path at a figure walking towards the school. "Isn't that your brother?"

"What?" Sunset started to stand so that she could look passed her friend. "It is!"

Sunset waved to Shining Light as he approached. A slight blush crossed her cheeks. What was he doing here? And why was she so flustered all of a sudden.

"Shining Light, what are you doing here?" Sunset asked as her brother reached them.

"Wait, both your brothers are named Shining?" snickered, pointing to twilight before gasping in pain when Apple Jack elbowed her in the ribs.

"Well," Light chuckled softly as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I was supposed to meet someone here for lunch. I'm a bit surprised that the address she gave me was to a school."

"Wait," Sunset's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "A girl told you to meet here at a school for lunch?"

"Wait, what?!" Light's eyebrows shot up in stunned realization at Sunset's words. "Wait a second, no way. She couldn't have been a high school student!"

"I'm hurt," came a voice from behind the girls. "I think I look rather young for my age."

All the girls turned to find Vice-Principal Luna standing there with a smile. They slowly turned back to Shining Light who had a look of relief plastered across his face.

"Well girls," Luna said as she walked around them to take Light's arm. "Don't be late for class."

The seven girls remained in silent shock. The first to stir was Rainbowdash who started shaking with laughter.

"Dude!," she cackled, pointing at a slack jawed Sunset. "Your brother is dating the Vice-Principal!"

"WAIT! WHAT?!"
