Once upon a time, in the land of Equestria. There lived two ruling alicorns, King Nightfall, and Queen Galaxia. At the time the queen was pregnant with a girl, but she was terribly sick, and if she didn't get better both she and the baby would die.
King Nightfall was devastated by this and did everything he could to help. But one day an ancient sorceress said she could help, but it came with a price: if she would help the queen get better, when the child was born she would be given her.
The king really didn't want to give up his only child, but he couldn't bear the pain of losing his wife either.
So he choose to save his wife and give up his daughter, at least she would be in good hooves.
It was a bright sunny morning in the tower and Celestia was up and ready to start the day.
Celestia gave a tiny yawn and went to go wake up Twilight her best friend, Twilight was a chameleon, Celestia had rescued her from a snake a few years ago, and now they were best friends.
''Twilight!'' Celestia yelled ''It's almost time for breakfast!'' She continued, before she could say anything else, there was a purple chameleon dashing madly down the stairs.
''Oh there you are Twilight'' she said as Twilight climbed up on her shoulder ''I was about to make chocolate pancakes want some?'' she said pointing to table where a plate of pancakes were laid on with some milk next to it.
Twilight instantly nodded as they both made their way to the kitchen.
''So I'm finally gonna do it... I'm going to ask mom!'' she exclaimed before sticking her fork in the pancakes and levitating them to her mouth and then stuffed her face.
Every year, on her birthday she would notice lanterns, but these ones were special: they would only come out on her birthday.
She would always dream of someday going to them or at least outside, her mom never let her go anywhere, she would always ask why...but she never got an answer.
Twilight nodded before eating her own chameleon-sized pancakes.
They both continued to eat,
There was a long silence
When Celestia said
''What if she says no and then I'm stuck here for the rest of my LIFE!'' she moaned before a tear came rolling down her face and on to her muzzle.
''w-what if I never leave this tower'' she whimpered, as Twilight came over and gave her a tiny nuzzle on the face (since she was tiny)
Twilight gave her a warming smile
She returned it with stroking her back with her hoof.
They would always hug when they were feeling down, they would always comfort each other, they were BFF's always together.
Seven a.m., the usual morning lineup
Start on the chores and sweep 'till the floor's all clean
Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up
Sweep again, and by then it's like 7:15
And so I'll read a book
Or maybe two or three
I'll add a few new paintings to my gallery
I'll play guitar and knit
And cook and basically
Just wonder when will my life begin?
Then after lunch it's puzzles and darts and baking
Paper mache, a bit of ballet and chess
Pottery and ventriloquy, candle making
Then I'll stretch, maybe sketch, take a climb
Sew a dress!
And I'll reread the books
If I have time to spare
I'll paint the walls some more
I'm sure there's room somewhere
And then I'll brush and brush
And brush and brush my hair
Stuck in the same place I've always been
And I'll keep wanderin' and wanderin'

When will my life begin?
And tomorrow night

Just like they do on my birthday each year

Celestia sighed.
"When will my life begin?"
''Run!, Run! Run!'' somepony shouted angrily
''There on to us!!'' the other yelled annoyed
''WHAT DO WE DO?!'' they both yelled in unison.
''relax guys'' the supposed leader of this gang said in a calm voice.''You see that small hill?'' he asked pointing to a small hill
''Well I want you two to lift me up, so I can pull you. Got it?'' he said quickly still running
''how do we know you're not tricking us?'' one of them asked raising an eyebrow.
''Oh just do it!'' he said rolling his eyes.
So the to men picked him up and put him on the top of the hill, and he just kept on running, he didn't care what he said he just didn't want to go to jail.
He kept running and running till he saw a bush so he dove into it.
''phew! Close one'' he sighed, he was sure he was going to get caught, running for ages without getting captured, betraying his 'friends', and now hiding while they were going to get caught and thrown in jail. He couldn't help but feel a little bad yet they helped him steal the crown.
His thoughts were put to an end when he noticed a tunnel with a light at the end, obviously, he was going to down it, he couldn't stay here forever.
He crouched down and crawled through the grassy and weirdly itchy tunnel towards the light.
''What the hell'' he muttered to himself.
Standing before him, was a really tall tower, with no entrance, the only possible way in was through a window at the top of the tower.
''Where is this place?'' he questioned himself looking around there was a river, nice flowers, lots of sunlight
''Well might as well stay...since I have nowhere else to go'' he said to himself.
He started walking towards the tower, take out his daggers and started to use them to climb the tower.
He reached the top and stepped inside and smelt pancakes, he was walking around the tower, when he noticed a curtain on the wall and just before he could pull it open, he got smacked in the head with a frying pan held in a golden aura.
''Who are you?!'' Celestia asked intimidatingly at him, she looked at him then looked at Twilight, who was also staring at the guy Celestia just knocked out.
''Your not a pony are you?'' she asked noticing he had many different body parts: The head of a pony, the body like some sort of snake except brown, the wing of a bat and pony, the paw of a lion and the claw of an eagle and the leg of a dragon and a donkey.
He groaned, rubbing the back of his head, it still ached from when he got hit in the back of the head.
''WHAT THE HELL!?'' he yelled at her, looking Celestia directly in the eye as if she was going to make some sort of attack, but she just looked at him.
He tried to move, he was stuck in some sort of trap, he looked down and realized it was... Hair? Why was he trapped in hair?
How was he trapped in hair?
He looked down to see where the source of all this hair was coming from, his eyes looked up and saw the hair was coming from the pony who knocked him out. How in the world was her hair this long? He asked himself, then it hit him, could she be the lost princess? No, she couldn't.
''Are you ok?'' she asked looking a little concerned, she looked at him then looked at Twilight, who was still looking him then, then looked at the unusual creature.
Snapping out of his daze he just looked at her, then little Twilight on her shoulder, then her unusually long hair.
''W-why is your hair so long?'' he asked giving her an amazed and confused look, he tried to reach out his hand to touch it, but then remembered he was tied by it.
''Well'' she said stepping back a little,
''I was just born like this''
''Oh, okay'' Discord said looking at the chameleon on her shoulder, "who's this" he asked
''This is Twilight she- hey why am i telling you this?!" she said
He just shrugged
''Well then, would you be so kind to untie me please, since I have no business here it makes sense to just let me go, right?''
He said with pleading eyes
''If you have no business here then why were you here in the first place?'' Celestia asked as both she and Twilight rolled their eyes at him, there were sure he was hiding something.
Then Celestia's eyes fell on to the bag on his shoulder, there was something shining in it, just when she was going to step forward and grab it, she was interrupted by her mother's voice.
She couldn't let her see the stallion or whatever he was was here.
She picked him up in her golden aura and opened the closet nearby and through him in.
''Stay in there and don't make a sound'' she said harshly as she made her way to the window and through her hair down.
''Hi'' Celestia said excitedly
''Hello dear'' Her mom said ''I'm really tired, please can you sing to me?'' she asked sweetly.
''Sure'' Celestia chirped walking over to a chair and a stool, she sat on the stool and her mom on the chair.
Flower, gleam and glow

Make the clock reverse,
Bring back what once was mine
She sang as her hair started glowing and raising and then stopped when she stopped singing.
Discord, on the other hand, heard her singing and looked through the crack in the closet, he noticed her mother didn't look like her at all,
Instead, she had a black coat, a green mane and she was wearing a purple dress with golden lace at her hips. But one thing that caught his attention was her eyes, they were like that of a cat or something.
''I brought hazelnuts'' she exclaimed ''now I can make you hazelnut soup!'' she said setting down her saddle bag and reaching in to bring out a bag of hazelnuts.
''Ok thank you mum'' she said quickly ''uh, c-can I ask you something?'' she said look at her nervously.
"Of course dear," she said walking to her ''what is it?"
''Well, you know it's my birthday and was wondering if I could go outside to see the stars?" she said quietly.
"Celestia, again with the mumbling," her mom said ''please repeat that?"
''I wanna go outside, to see the lights, please I wouldn't go far, I promise!" she whined.
"You want to go outside?" she said closing the curtains "why Celestia"
Look at you as fragile as a flower
Still a little sapling, just a sprout
You know why we stay up in this tower
"I know but-"
That's right, to keep you safe
Guess I always knew this day was coming,
Knew that soon you'd want to leave to nest,

"Celestia?" she asked in a none singing voice
"yes?"
"don't ever ask to leave this tower again"
"yes, mother"
"Now, Celestia" she said warmly "are you sure you'll be alright here alone?" she asked.
"Yes, i'll be fine" she said reassuringly
Celestia through down her hair, as her mom climbed down.
"Goodbye, Celestia, i love you" she said waving from the bottom of the tower.
"i love you more" she said waving back.
"i love you most" she said as she disaperred into the woods.
"Now, to deal with the guy in my closet" Celestia sighed, looking back at the closet where she had hid the strange creature who broke into her house.
"This should be fun."
