The second match of the micro tournament was underway, with Sunburst and Sweetie Belle battling it out. Sweetie was currently in the lead, having twice as many points as Sunburst, and had just managed to Fusion Summon her Bloom Prima the Melodious Choir. Sunburst meanwhile, had his powered up Sunburst Magician along with Sunburst Familiar and UFO Turtle.
Sunburst frowned as he looked at Bloom Prima. It's summons had prevented his monsters from attacking her directly, but on the plus side it being there meant his Sunburst Magician's ATK strength went up. (A3800/D2200/L7) "I switch my UFO Turtle to DEF mode, then place one card face down and end my turn."
"Then I'll go!" Sweetie drew her card, "I activate the effect of my Fortissimo." Bloom Prima glowed while harmonising, her power increasing. (A3600/D1000/L7) "Attack Sunburst Familiar!" The lady began to sing, firing a powerful soundwave as she did. This attack flew at the kitsune.
Sunburst flipped his face down over, "I activate my Spirit Barrier Trap card. Now, as long as I have a monster on my field, any battle damage I receive is negated."
Flash and Spike smiled. "So only Direct Attacks and Effect damage will hurt him," Spike realised.
"That's gonna come in handy," Flash said.
Bloom Prima's soundwaves struck Familiar and destroyed it, activating its effect. "Now I can look at the top five cards of my deck and add two Fire Monsters to my hand." He did so, while Sunburst Magician's ATK power went down. (A3300/D2200/L7)
Sweetie then smiled. "My turns not over yet, because Bloom Prima can attack twice." Sunburst frowned while Sweetie's monster unleashed another sonic blast, which struck his UFO Turtle and destroyed it.
This then made Sunburst smirk. "Sorry, but when UFO Turtle is destroyed, I can search my deck for a Fire Monster with fifteen hundred of less ATK and summon it to the field." He grabbed his deck and shuffled through it, "and I'll summon another UFO Turtle." Said Turtle appeared on the field. (A1400/D1200/L4)
Sweetie smiled, "I place one card face down and end my turn."
"My turn," Sunburst drew his card. "I activate Sunburst Magician's ability!"

He drew his cards and grabbed two. "I summon a pair of Sunburst Guardians!" The shield carrying knights appeared on the holo-table, standing besides Sunburst Magician and UFO Turtle. With them, his magician gained an extra thousand ATK points. (A4300/D2200/L7) "I switch UFO to ATK mode and attack with Sunburst Magician!"
"I don't think so," Sweetie told him. "I play my Trap, Compulsory Evacuation Device!" Everyone went wide eyed at this, as a machine appeared on the table and sucked Sunburst Magician inside before shutting its door and finally launching the Ritual monster into the air. "Now your Sunburst Magician is sent back to your hand."
Sunburst frowned as he placed the back with the others. "Fine," he placed a card face down, "I end my turn."
"Then I'll go," the effects of Fortissimo wore off and Bloom Prima's ATK returned to normal. (A2800/D1000) "Since I have a Melodious monster on my field, I can special summon Sonata the Melodious Diva!" Said songstress appeared besides Bloom Prima. (A1200/D1000/L3) "And as long as this special summoned card is out, all Fairy Type monsters get five hundred extra ATK points." (A3300/D1000) (A1700/D1000/L3) "Then I'll use Fortissimo's effect on Sonata, increasing her power by eight hundred points. (A2500/D1000/L3) "Now attack one of his Sunburst Guardians!" Sonata unleashed her sonic attack.
"Not happening," Sunburst explained. "I activate, the Trap Draining Shield." Said shield replaced the one Sunburst Guardian was holding, which blocked the attack. "Not only is your attack concealed, but my life points increase by Sonata's ATK strength.

Flash and Spike both cheered. "Sunburst's life points are back to full."
"Way to play!" Flash cried.
Sweetie frowned at this, but Scootaloo and Applebloom called out to her. "It's alright. You've still got this."
"Yeah," Applebloom agreed, "he just got lucky. And you've still got attacks left."
Sweetie nodded, "that's right. Bloom Prima, attack his two Sunburst Guardians!" She did so, unleashing both attack simultaneously and destroying them both. "I place one card face down and end my turn."
"My draw," Sunburst did so while Sweetie flipped her face down over.
"I activate my Trap, Musical Mayhem. This card deals you eight hundred points of damage for every Melodious monster on my field. And with two, you lose sixteen hundred points."

"Alright," Sunburst looked down at his cards and saw he'd drawn Ritual Spirit. However, he didn't have any Ritual monsters in his grave to use it. Unless. "I activate the effect of my Ashes Magician." The ghostly image of said magician appeared on the field. "By banishing him from the grave, I can add one Spell card from my grave to the hand." The magician burst into flames, the ashes transforming into a card that flew into Sunburst's hand. "And now I'll use that card. Sunburst Altar!"
Sweetie gasped, as the table, candles and basin appeared on the field. "He's Ritual Summoning again."
"That's right, and what better card to use in a Ritual Summon then a Ritual monster." Sunburst Magician appeared above the table before exploding into fireballs, which then lit seven of the candles. "Courageous flames, that burn like the sun, give life to the warrior whose fiery heart cannot be extinguished!" The fire on the candles shot up before flying into the basin, "I RITUAL SUMMON!"
The basin exploded, the fire shooting up and took form before fading. "Sunburst Knight!" (A2600/D1900/L7) "Next I summon Pink Sun Magician, in DEF Mode." A woman in pink sun patterned clothing appeared besides the other monsters. (A1000/D1000/L3/P8)
"Get'em Sunburst!" Spike cheered his teammate on.
Sunburst nodded before turning back to the Duel. "Sunburst Knight, attack Bloom Prima!" The knight raised its sword, as all the other monsters on the field glowed a fiery aura. "During the Battle Phase, Sunburst Knight gains five hundred points for every other Fire monster on field. And since my DNA Transplant changed all yours to Fire types, they're also fuelling the fire. (A4600/D1900/L7) "GO!" The knight shot forwards and cut Sweetie's monster in half.

"I place one card face down and end my turn, activating Pink Sun's effect." He showed his Ashes Magician and placed in back in his graveyard. "By paying three hundred points for each one, I can return any number of banished Fire monsters back into my graveyard."

Sunburst's turn ended, with Sunburst Knight's ATK returning to normal. (A2600/D1900/L7). "It's my turn," Sweetie drew while Sonata's ATK returned to normal. "I play Graceful Charity, which lets me draw three cards before I have to discard two." She looked at the cards she'd gotten and nodded. "I activate, Dimension Fusion!"
"Did she say Dimension Fusion?" Sunburst asked.
"What's that?" An audience member asked.
Another member of the crowd replied. "By paying two thousand life points, she can summon any number of banished cards."

"She's putting everything on the line for this," Flash realised.
"I summon back Aria, Conan and Mozarta!" A portal appeared above the table, which the three monsters flew out of and landed next to Sonata. (A1600/D1200/L4) (A1400/D2000/L4) (A2600/D2000/L8) "And since Sonata's on the field, they all get a power boost." (A2100/D1200/L4) (A1900/D2000/L4) (A3100/D2000/L8) "And then I'll use Fortissimo to increase Sonata's power. (A2500/D1000/L3)
"This is gonna be a big," Spike gulped.
"Sunburst can handle it," Flash said before mentally adding 'I hope.'
"Mozarta, take out his knight!" The red dressed woman unleashed her sonic blast, which flew at Sunburst Knight and destroyed him. "Now Aria will attack UFO Turtle." Another sound blast was sent across the table, hitting Sunburst's other monster."
"Don't forget about his ability," Sunburst grabbed his deck and shuffled through it until he found the card he wanted. "Sunburst Apprentice!" The young wizard appeared on the field, (A1500/D1300/L4)
"He won't be sticking around for long," Sweetie told him. "Sonata!" Another sound attack was unleashed, destroying the newly summoned wizard. "Conan!" With another sonic blast, Sunburst's last monster was destroyed.
Sunburst's entire field was now empty, while Sweetie had three monsters on hers. "I'm now using the effect of my Melodious Tenor," she took that card out of her graveyard and placed it in her pocket both taking three more cards out of the grave and holding them up. "Pick one." Sunburst raised an eyebrow at this before pointing to the middle one, which Sweetie placed in her hand while sending the others back to the grave. Tenor let's me pick three Spell or Trap in my grave, which you then pick. That one's added to my hand." She placed that card face down, "I end my turn."
Sunburst frowned. If that card was Musical Mayhem, he'd lose. "It all comes down to this," he said as he placed his hand on his deck. "It's my turn. I draw," he looked at Sweetie but she did nothing. Looks like he hadn't given her the card that'd win her the match. He then looked at the card he'd drawn, "seriously." Of all the cards to get, he drew this one. "Perfect."
Sweetie raised an eyebrow at this. "What'd you get?"
"Let me show you," Sunburst replied. "First, I activate my Ritual Spirit Trap card. With this, I can revive one Ritual Monster on my field. Arise once again, Sunburst Knight!" The Ritual monster returned to the field, swinging its sword around. "Now I can activate the Spell I just got. Rebirth Ritual!"
"Alright!" Flash and Spike both cheered, knowing what was coming next. The crusaders meanwhile, began to sweat as a pillar of fire exploded out of the table and engulfed Sunburst Knight.
"With this, Sunburst Knight can evolve to the next stage of his existence!" The pillar grew in size, until it eventually exploded and unleashed a powerful light. "RITUAL EVOLUTION!"
The light faded to reveal Sunburst's new monster. It was Sunburst Knight, only his armor looked more regal with robes being seen beneath it. His cape was the same, except now it had a golden fur trim around the edges. His sword had been replaced by a golden staff with a blade on the end of it. "Sunburst...PALADIN!" (A3200/D2300/L8)
Everyone awed at the sight of this new monster. Sweetie was just as impressed. "Nice monster, but it won't save you. Not once it's back in your hand." She flipped her face down over, as a familiar looking machine appeared on the field.
"Compulsory Evacuation Device," Spike said in worry.
"So that's the card she got back," Flash continued. "This is bad." He looked to Sunburst, expecting to see him panicking, but was instead surprised to see him looking completely calm.
"Don't worry guys," Sunburst took a card out of his hand and placed it in the grave. "Whenever my opponent activates a card effect, Paladin's effect let's me discard a card and negate it."
"What?" Sweetie asked in shock before everyone looked down at the field and saw Sunburst Paladin's staff ignite. It then pointed said weapon at the machine and caused it to explode.
"There's more!" Sunburst announced, "First off, Rebirth Ritual increases Sunburst Paladin's ATK points by one thousand for this turn. (A4200/D2300/L8) "And he has another ability, which grants him an additional 300 ATK points for every Fire monster on our fields or our graveyards."
"Seriously?" Sweetie tried to count how many Fire monsters Sunburst currently had in his grave, "was it ten?"
"Twelve," Sunburst correct, "which equals thirty six hundred points. Plus the cards on your field that my DNA Transplant changed to Fire, make it forty eight hundred!" Sunburst Paladin raised its staff, as the ghostly images of Sunburst's fallen monsters appeared around him before bursting into flames. They surrounded the blade of the staff, while Sweetie's monsters gave off a flaming aura that did the same and raised the Paladin's power. (A9000/D2300/L8)
"Nine thousand ATK points!" And there was nothing Sweetie could do to stop it.
"Sunburst Paladin, attack Mozarta and end this Duel!" The evolved Ritual monster rushed across the table and raised its blazing weapon, then swung it around and cut Sweetie's monster in half while shooting flames at her.
"Ahh!" Sweetie cried as the holographic flames hit her.

Sweetie stumbled back as the holograms disappeared, while the shop girl gestured to Sunburst. "Winner, Team V-Fighter's Sunburst!"
"I did it!" Sunburst cheered in excitement, while Flash and Spike rushed over to him.
"Sunburst!" Spike cried as Sunburst spun around, the three all raising their hands in the air and triple high-fiving.
Sunburst smiled at the two, "I did it. I beat her."
"Yeah you did," Flash agreed. His smile then faded when he realised what this meant, as he turned back to the table and saw Scootaloo standing on the opposite side of it. If he wanted to get to the Double X, he had to beat his sister.
"You up for this Flash?" Spike asked him."
"Yeah," Flash replied, "I won't let all your hard work go to waste." He stepped up to the table and took out his deck, "you ready sis?"
Scootaloo smiled while placing her deck down on the table, "I was born ready." The whole shop went quite, as the two drew their cards.
"Good luck Flash," Spike told his teammate.
"Make sure you win this," Sunburst went on.
"You got this Scootaloo," Applebloom cheered her teammate on.
"The Double X," Sweetie said. "Here we come."
Before the shop girl could even announce it, the siblings began the final match. "DUEL!"

"Come on Scootaloo!" A watcher in the crowd yelled.
"Go Team Crusaders!"
"You got this!"
"Oh geez," Sunburst said. "It doesn't feel like anyone's on our side."
"Do you blame them?" Spike asked, "this shop is their home ground, so their bound to support their home team." He then smiled, "but Flash isn't the type to let the atmosphere distract him."
"True," Sunburst agreed.
"Alright," Flash drew his card, "I'll start by summoning Lightspeed Dragon in ATK mode!" The small wolf version of Flash Heart appeared on the table, "I'll place two cards face down and end my turn." He turned to his sister and smiled, "you're up squirt."
"Then here I go!" Scootaloo drew her card and nodded. "And I'll start with a Spell card known as Xyz Gate. This bad boy lets me summon an Xyz monster, by discarding the monsters required for it from my hand. So I'll ditch two cards in order to summon Grenosaurus!" From out of the table came a large red T-rex with metal and fire covering its body. "And since he was summoned using Xyz Gate, Grenosaurus's Rank now becomes a Level. (A2000/D1900/L3)
"I get the feeling she's not done yet," Spike said.
"What's she up to?" Sunburst asked.
"Next, I activate my Ghosts of Extinction Spell card." Two pillars of light shot out of the table, as a pair of monsters appeared out of the ground. "This card let's me summon any Dinosaur monsters in my graveyard, but they're destroyed during the End Phase and I take a thousand points of damage for each one." The two monsters were Rush Raptor and Velocity Raptor. (A1200/D1400/L3) (A1000/D1200/L3)
Everyone in the store clapped at this and rightly so. "She got a bunch of Level three monsters out without even needing to Pendulum Summon," Sunburst awed.
"And she's not done," Spike said.
"And now!" Scootaloo yelled, "I'm using these three monsters to build the Overlay Network." Her three monsters changed into lights, which shot into the air before flying into the black hole that had just formed. "Watch as the ancient powers of a Dinosaur are awakened!" The black hole exploded in light as a new monster appeared. "I XYZ SUMMON."
The light faded revealing Scootaloo's Xyz monster. "Wild Rush Raptor." (A2000/D2000/R3)
"And with Rush Raptor as an Overlay Unit, Wild Rush gains five hundred ATK points." (A2500/D2000/R3) "Next I'll activate his ability!" One of the lights shot into Wild Rush Raptor's mouth. "Now any battle damage he deals for this turn is doubled. So attack Flash's Lightspeed Dragon!" The winged dinosaur shot into the air before flying at the armoured wolf and spinning around. It's tail smashed into Lightspeed, only for the image to shatter like glass to reveal another Lightspeed Dragon behind it.

"Sorry sis," Flash told her. "But with my Reflection Card, I can negate my monster's destruction."
Scootaloo frowned. "I place on card face down and end my turn."
"My turn. I draw and then I'll tribute Lightspeed in order to summon my Twin Laser Dragon!" The robot wolf was replaced by the cybernetic brachiosaurus. (A2100/D1500/L5) "Now I'll have him attack your Wild Rush Raptor!"
"But my monster's way stronger then yours?" Scootaloo asked. "Why have it attack?"
"Because I'm also activating this Spell card," Flash flipped his face down over. "Go, Multiversal Spirit. Now I can take one monster in my Extra Deck and send it to the grave," he drew his Flash Dragon Accel and discarded it. "Now my monster will get a power boost equal to Accel's Level times one hundred." (A2900/D1500/L5) Twin Laser fired one of its cannons and destroyed Scootaloo's Wild Rush Raptor.

"Not before I activate my Trap," Scootaloo flipped her face down face up. "Go, Survival Instincts. Now I can banish any number of Dinosaur monsters in my graveyard and gain four hundred points for each one." She took out Rush Raptor Grenosaurus and Velocity Raptor

Flash smirked, "not bad kid." Twin Laser fired its ATK and struck Scootaloo in the chest.

"Alright, then it's my draw!" Scootaloo drew her card, smiling when she was what it was. This was just what she needed. "I'll start my activating my Last Ditch Effort Spell card." Flash raised an eyebrow at this, seeing the card he'd given her so long ago. "Now I can revive my Wild Rush Raptor back to the field." Said monster appeared infront of her, "but that's not all!" She took the card she'd just drawn, "I activate Rank-Up-Magic Jurassic Force!"
Flash smirked, "now things are gonna get interesting."
"You know it. Jurassic Force let's me Rank up any Dinosaur-Type Xyz monster on my field, so I'll be Ranking up my Wild Rush Raptor." Wild Rush transformed into a stream of light, which flew up and into a black hole as it opened. "Let the Primal instincts take over, and help you achieve power long since forgotten by history!" she chanted as the black hole exploded. "RANK-UP XYZ EVOLUTION!"
The light faded, revealing Scootaloo's new monster. It's entire body was now more dragonic, being a combo of red and white with black stripes. It stood on four legs and had a quartet of metal bladed wings. It had a large metal horn on its snout and white fur running down the back of its long neck. On the end of its long tail, was a golden spearhead like weapon. "Jurassic Raging Raptor!" (A2600/D2400/R4/P6) The beast roared.
"Impressive," Flash said while everyone else awed, "now what?"
"Now I activate Jurassic Raging Raptor's ability," Scootaloo drew three cards. "Since he was special summoned, I can look at the top three cards of my deck and add any Level four dinos to him as Overlay Units." She spun the cards around, "and I got Black Stego, Two-Headed King Rex and Bone Armour Raptor." She placed the cards under her monster card, as three new lights appeared along with the first. "Now, I attack your Twin Laser Dragon!"
Everyone watched as the beast took flight and flew at Flash's monster. "Next I'll activate his other ability. By removing any number of Overlay units from him, I can reduce you monster's ATK by four hundred for each one." She removed three of its four Overlay Units, the dinosaur biting down on the lights before unleashing a powerful breath attack that struck Twin Laser. (A900/D1500/L5) Jurassic Raging Raptor flew down and slashed the robot with its tail.
"I activate my face down," Flash flipped his card face up. "Defence Draw! Now I can negate the damage dealt to me and draw one card."
Scootaloo frowned, "well my Raptor has one last ability. Since he has Wild Rush Raptor as an Overlay Unit, whenever he destroys a monster I can draw cards equal to that monster's Level." She drew five cards, then took two of them and placed them on the field. "I'll now set the Pendulum Scale, with scale two Dino Knight Tricera Guard and scale seven Dino Knight Rap-Tearer!" The columns of light appeared on either side of the field, with the two monsters flying up. Flash knew the blue triceratops knight, but the green knight with raptor themed armour and sharp clawed gauntlets was new to him.
Everyone watched as the portal appeared above the table while Scootaloo cried out, "I PENDULUM SUMMON!" The portal opened before a single light shot out, revealing a red knight in T-Rex armor that held a lance. "Dino Knight, Tyrano Lancer!" (A1500/D1200/L4/P5) "I end my turn with a face down."
"Then I'll go," Flash drew his card and nodded before turning to his sister. "There's no doubt, you've certainly gotten a lot stronger. You must have been training really hard." He took two cards from his hand, "but not hard enough to beat me."
Scootaloo just smirked, "we'll see."
Flash nodded before setting the cards down. "Now I'll set the Pendulum Scale, with scale two Crystal Tusk Magna Boar and scale nine Glow Claw Magna Chimp!" The pillars of light appeared on the field as the two monsters flew up, a portal appearing between them once they were high enough. "Now watch, as I cut through space time and carve the arc of victory!" The portal opened, "I PENDULUM SUMMON!"
A single light shot out and struck the table, taking form and fading to reveal Flash's ace. "Shine your light of victory, Flash Heart Dragon...X!" (A2500/D2000/L7/P4)
"There it is," Sweetie said.
"This is where the battle gets interesting," Applebloom nodded.
"Come on Flash!" Spike cheered.
"You'll need more then that," Sunburst told him.
"I know," Flash agreed. "I activate Flash Heart X's ability!" A wormhole opened up below Scootaloo's Dino Knight, "Tyrano Lancer in banished!" It was sucked inside, leaving Jurassic Raging Raptor alone."
"Come on Flash," Scootaloo told him. "You really think I didn't realise you were gonna use Flash Heart?"
Flash just smiled, "well did you see this coming?" He slapped a card on the field, as a familiar looking fairy monster appeared besides Flash Heart. (A100/D100/L1)
"Vail Pixie?" Scootaloo raised an eyebrow at this. Flash had sent Accel to the grave, so he could....wait. She looked at the last card in Flash's hand, "you were planning this from the start."
"To right," Flash replied. "I now sacrifice Flash Heart and one Level one Light monster, in order to awaken Flash Heart's ultimate power!" With that, Flash Heart and Vail Pixie glowed before they shot into the air, with Vail Pixie morphing into a cocoon of light that completely enveloped Flash Heart Dragon.
Almost everyone in the store knew what was coming, many of them having been watching the events of last year, and all grew worried. The only one who wasn't worried was Scootaloo, whose smirk hadn't left her face. "Bring it on."
Flash smiled back before slapping his card on the field, "TRANSCEND!" The cocoon of light exploded off of his monster, revealing a hyper evolved Flash Heart. "Flash Dragon...MAGNA HARMONY!" (A3000/D2500/L8)
Sweetie began shaking while Applebloom spoke, "oh no. Magna Harmony. He's really not holdin back now."
"Activating Magna Harmony's skill," Flash took Twin Laser and Accel out of the grave. "Magna Harmony attack!" The dragon shot forwards, ready to claw at Jurassic Raging Raptor."
"I activate my Trap!" Scootaloo cried as she flipped the card over, "Overlay Guardian! Now, I can remove one Overlay Unit to negate your attack!" The light around her monster flew off before transforming into Wild Rush Raptor, which intercepted the attack and was destroyed in place of its evolved form.
"Well don't forget that Magna Harmony has Twin Laser's effect, so he can attack twice this turn!" The dragon spun around and slammed its tail into Scootaloo's monster, destroying it.

"And now that your field's empty, you're open for I direct attack. And if you've been paying attention, you'll know what's coming." Magna Harmony disappeared in a flash of light and was replaced by Flash Heart, which shot forward ready to attack. Plus, Magna Boar's Pendulum Ability raises the ATK of Pendulum Monster by five hundred during the battle phase. (A3000/D2000/L7/P4)
"I activate the Pendulum Ability of Tricera Guard!" Scootaloo cried, "if I have a dinosaur monster in my other Pendulum Zone, when you declare an attack I can summon it to the field!" Rap-Tearer leapt out of the light pillar to intercept Flash Heart's attack, then swung its claws through the air to unleash blades of wind that hit Flash's monster. (A1500/D2000/L7/P4)
"What the?"
"Oh," Scootaloo said, "did I forget to mention that when Rap-Tearer's special summoned, he can cut the ATK of a monster on your field in half." Flash Heart sucker punched Rap-Tearer, destroying it.

Flash sighed, "I end my turn." He then smiled. "Gotta say sis, that was impressive. Not just anyone can stop Magna Harmony."
"I know," Scootaloo drew her card. "I told you, the Crusaders won't stop until we're the best of the best."
"Then show me your best!"
"I will," Scootaloo slapped a card on the field. "I reset the Pendulum Scale with scale six Para Shooter!" The right hand pillar reappeared as a knight in black parasaurolophus armored appeared inside it while carrying a crossbow with said dinosaur's head on the front. "Now I can recarve the arc of victory, allowing me to Pendulum Summon!"
The portal appeared above the table and opened as a pair of lights shot out, hit the ground and faded to reveal the monsters Flash had defeated last turn. "Jurassic Raging Raptor!" Rap-Tearer slashed the air, firing wind blades at Flash Heart and cutting its ATK power in half. (A1250/D2000/L7/P4) Scootaloo drew three cards and showed them to Flash, revealing a Spell and a pair of dinosaur monsters. One was Level three while the other was her Level four Element Saurus, which she placed under her Xyz monster.
"This is bad," Spike said.
"This might be the end," Sunburst agreed.
"Jurassic Raging Raptor, attack Flash Heart Dragon X!" Scootaloo removed her monster's Overlay Unit, allowing her beast to unleash its breath attack and weaken Flash Heart even more. (A850/D2000/L7/P4) Jurassic Raging Raptor used its tail to cut Flash Heart in half.

"It's over Flash," Scootaloo told her brother. "Rap-Tearer, finish this!" Her Dino Knight shot forwards, preparing to slash Flash in the chest. But before it could get close, something else jumped infront of it. Magna Chimp, who had jumped out of the Pendulum Zone and blocked the claws with his own while Magna Boar exploded. "What happened?"
Flash smirked. "Sorry sis, but you're not the only one whose Pendulum Monsters can protect them. When I'm directly attacked, I can destroy my other Pendulum Zoned monster to summon him."
Scootaloo groaned, suddenly remembering him pulling the same trick against Rainbow. How could she have forgotten about that? "Doesn't matter," she placed on card face down. "I end my turn." She looked down at her face down, which was her Mirror Force. Even if Flash summoned a super strong monster, as soon as it attack she'd destroy every card on the field.
Flash and his teammates suspected something like this, with Spike shaking. "Flash managed to survive, but he's got nothing in his hand. And Magna Chimp won't be enough."
Sunburst nodded. "If he doesn't draw a game changer, it's all over."
Flash looked back at them, knowing they were right. It all came down to this draw. "Here goes," he drew his card and smiled. "Sweet. I activate Starburst Reload!" The Crusader's faltered while the V-Fighters smiled. "Now I'll banish Lightspeed Dragon and draw four cards. "I now reset the Pendulum Scale, with scale two Lustrous Feather Magna Leghorn and scale nine Nightlight Magna Sheep!" The pillar of light appeared on his side of the field, with the two monsters flying up into them. Once there, the portal began to open. "I PENDULUM SUMMON!"
The portal opened before three lights shot out of it.
"Illuminate this battle field, Crystal Tusk Magna Boar!" (A1000/D1000/L3/P2)
"Shine your light of Victory, Flash Heart Dragon X!" (A2500/D2000/L7/P4)
"Reek havoc, Chaos Command Dragon!" (A3000/D2500/R7/P4)
Scootaloo went wide-eyed at the sight of the third card. Chaos Command? You wouldn't summon that unless you were..." She looked up at her brother and saw him hold up a card, which he spun around to show to her.
"Unless I had this," Flash finished before activating said card. "Go, Rank-Up-Magic Pendulum Force!" Everyone gasped as Chaos Command was sucked into a black hole that appeared on the floor. "Turn everything to nothing and continue from the beginning. Unleash the trustiest form of chaos," he chanted as the black hole exploded. "RANK-UP XYZ EVOLUTION!"
The light faded, revealing his evolved Xyz monster. "Chaos Command...REVOLUTION!" (A3500/D3000/R8) And with Chaos Command Dragon as an Overlay Unit, Pendulum Force grants him seven hundred extra ATK points. (A4200/D3000/R8) "And now, by removing all his Overlay Units, I can banish every card on your side of the field!" Chaos Command Revolution smashed its single light between its hands, then opened them to reveal a red and black orb that it tossed into the air.
The orb then exploded into a red and black vortex, which sucked up Jurassic Raging Raptor, Rap-Tearer, the cards in Scootaloo's Pendulum Zones and her face down. "No way," Scootaloo whispered before turning to look at her brother. She then noticed a look of doubt on his face. She knew what was up, he didn't want to beat her and prevent them from getting into the Double X. Well to bad for him, because she wouldn't let him go easy on her.
Stepping back from the table, she held out her arms. "COME ON!" Everyone turned to her in surprise, "bring it on. I'm not afraid of your attack. What's up, to wimpy to hit a girl?"
Flash's frown turned to a smirk, seeing what she was doing. "Thanks sis." He looked down at the field. "Flash Heart, do the honours!" His ace's boosters ignited before rocketing it forwards, Flash Heart pulling its fist back before thrusting it forwards into Scootaloo's chest.
The girl cried out for a second, but still smiled. "Nice one bro. I'll get you...next time."

The shop went dead silent, until the store girl spoke up. "And the winner of the match is team V-Fighter's Flash Sentry. With two wins and one lose, the V-Fighters are the winners." She turned to them, "congratulations. You've earned the right to compete in the Double X."
"WE DID IT!" The V-Fighters all cheered, while the rest of the shop's customers all clapped.
Scootaloo and her friends moved around the table to the V-Fighters, holding out her hand. "Great work Flash, you really deserved it."
Flash smiled back at her both taking her hand, only to pull her into a hug. "Thanks sis. We won't let you down."
"You better not," Sweetie said as she shook Sunburst's hand. "Now you've beaten us, you're representing this shop."
"So don't go embarrassing us," Applebloom warned as she and Spike shook hands.
"We won't," Spike and Sunburst laughed. The V-Fighters turned to one another and smiled. Finally, after everything they'd been through, they had earned a spot in the Double X. Now it was onto their next mission, becoming the champions of the entire thing. But who knows what challenges they'll face, on the road to achieving that dream.
Later that day
The sun was setting, bathing the city in an orange glow. In the garden of one of these houses, we find Tempest Shadow sitting in a a patio chair reading something off of a clip board she was holding. "So," she said, "they made it in." Her thoughts were broken by the door of the house opening, making her turn to see two people step outside. "Ah, Starlight, Heath, you've finally arrived."
The two figures were a boy and a girl. The girl had pink skin with purple and blue hair, wearing a blue top over a black vest with purple ripped jeans. She was also wearing a pink hat with white stars. The boy had light purple skin and red hair, wearing a mainly red jacket and brown pants. The two of them were also wearing a single fingerless black glove on their right hand.
They both walked over to Tempest as she placed the clipboard on the table next to her. They sat down as the girl took the clipboard. "Are these the teams we'll be going up against in the Double X?"
"Yes, they are. And almost all the Duellists from the Shadow Gate incident are competing. Our mission begins now."
"Whatever," Heath said, "it's not like they're actually gonna beat us."
"That's what we're trying to find out," Tempest replied before standing up. "We must find it, the one worthy of our lord."
