"Why am i laying on the ground" she said as she slowly opened her eyes, blinking them a few times to adjust to the light. She felt rocks poking into her back and her wings, one of which was flopped awkwardly on the ground next to her.
"Well seeing as how you passed out, you would probably be waking on the ground." a voice from behind her stated.
She looked upwards from her point of view to see the red alicorn standing behind her. "Wait, didn't i see you at the hospital?" She said as she got to her hooves.
"Hmm hospital, hospital. Nope havent been there since, well i don't think iv'e been to the ponyville hospital before." He said with a frown on his face. "Did you see me there?"
"Yes right when i woke up, you were standing behind Nurse Redheart, but when i looked at you again you were just gone." The pegasus said with a frown. "And where's Twilight? She was right next to me when i passed out."
"Twilight, would you perhaps mean Twilight Sparkle, the ponyville librarian?" he said his frown changing to a look of confusion. "Look i need to go see Twilight anyways, so why don't you come with me? Miss."
"Dash, Rainbow Dash." she said holding out her hoof to shake with the red pony.
" Ah so you're the famous Rainbow Dash, well it has been a pleasure to meet you, shall we be on our way?" he said after shaking her hoof.
"Wait!" She said as he started walking. "You never told me your name."
"Oh sorry, where are my manners. My name is Scarlet Scales." he said with a slight smile on his face "But you can just call me Scarlet."
"Okay Scarlet, lets go then." She said as she walked past him, then abruptly stopped. "Um i dont know the way to the library, would you mind showing me?" she said while rubbing the back of her head with a hoof.
"Hehe sure thing, just follow me, i just need to pick up a few books from Twilight. Why are you going to see her?" He asked as they began walking towards town.
"Well i kinda recently developed a case of amnesia(shudder) and heard that i was friends with her before i developed said condition." She said as she skirted a rock in the road.
"Hm, i recently had an accident of my own and that's what i'm going to go to the library to research. But i am sorry to hear about your lost memory Dash, don't worry i'm sure that Twilight will be able to help you, I mean she is the most powerful unicorn in ponyville." he said as they drifted into the endless realm of small talk as they walked through town.

"So Scarlet you still haven't told me why you're an alicorn." She said as they rounded a corner.
"Ah yes my 'wings' that often raises quite a few questions and i will happilly tell the tale. You see it all began when i was" SLAM, he never finished his sentence as he ran muzzle first into the door to what appeared to be a giant tree. He peeled his face off of the door trying to retain a shred of dignity as it opened and slammed into his face again, knocking him out.
"Ohmygoshiamsosorry." The Purple unicorn said as she saw that she had hit someone.
"He'll probably be ok but for now we should get some ice on that bump on his head." she said as she dragged the unconcious alicorn inside, leaving a very confused pegasus standing on the doorstep.
She tenatively knocked on the door, stepping back for good measure. The door slowly opened as a purple unicorn poked her face through and saw dash standing there.
"Well nice to see you using a door for once." She said with a small chuckle.
"Wait what do I usually use?" The cerulean pegasus questioned.
"Oh lets see you almost always come crashing through the window, and one time even through my.. wall, Dash are you okay?" she asked with a concerned expression.
"Yeah, could we talk about this inside?" she asked while looking anywhere but at the unicorns innocent gaze.
"Umm sure, I dont see why not" she said as she opened the door wider so that her friend could walk in.
As dash walked into the library, she caught the smell of knowledge, words, words with the white hot intensity of a thousand su... Yeah i'll just get back to the story.
She walked past the rows of books allowing her hoof to run along them as she observed all of the different titles.
"So what was it that you wanted to talk about?" a voice called from behind her as she was about to pluck a book from it's shelf.
"Well, I kinda woke up in the hospital today." she said with a bit of hesitation in her voice.
"Well that's not entirely unusual for you, what was it this time? Twisted wing or fractured hoof?"
"What? No! I mean i woke up and i couldn't remember. ANYTHING! I couldn't even remember the name of the town i was in until scarlet told me that i was in ponyville!" she said tears forming at the end of her rant.
The unicorn just stood there with her ears splayed back, and then she reached forward to give her friend a comforting hug. Just saying over and over "It'll be alright, it'll be alright." softly into the pegasus' ear until she fell asleep in the arms of the purple unicorn.

As twilight carefully carried the sleeping pegasus upstairs and tucked her into her bed she heard a noise from below, in her lab.
It was a hushed whisper, but she had long since placed a spell upon the library to allow her to hear almost anything in her lab(for when spike occasionally tried to sneak ice cream down there and chow down)
"Water thirty five liters, carbon twenty kilograms, ammonia, ammonia what was it? Oh yes, four liters, lime one and a half kilos, phosphorous, and salt peter along with other trace elements. Yes yes i know i also need to pay the toll, but what was it again that you gave me? Ah yes the perfect element."
The whispers died down as she descended the stairs, her hooves making hollow, clop clop, sounds on the wood.
"Who're you talking to? And what were you rambling about?" she said as she reached the bottom.
"No, no that wouldn't work, remember it wasn't even of the same species. Okay so what i get that youre saying is that we use it to help her get her memory back? We hardly even know the girl! Plus i'm not even sure the gift of chaos still works after we merged. Okay you want me to test it out? Fine there's your cotton candy cloud, but i still. Alright this will have to wait." the red alicorn turned to see the purple unicorn sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Staring at the pink cloud hovering in her basement.
"Wha?" she finally managed to get out.
"Ah here we go, but i already promised to tell this tale to dash, so could we wait until she wakes up?" he said
"Sure why not, you might have to wait a bit, she kind of cried herself to sleep." she said still staring at the cloud as it emmitted blue lightning.
