//------------------------------// // No Magic Needed! // Story: Guess We Don't Need To Do Anything Here // by DrawLight //------------------------------// The day when magic disappeared from Equestria the second time Luna walked throughout the halls of the castle, going off to Celestia's bedroom for a short conversation. It's already the second day, so all pony magic seems to be gone... Mostly. The princess of the night reached out her hoof to open Celestia's bedroom doors. She saw Celestia sitting on her bed, with cake (or, what's left of it) in her hooves. "Tia?" Luna called her elder sister from the doors. "Yes, Luna?" Celestia turned to answer, chewing cake along with it. "Why are you just eating cake? The sun went up on it's own again," Luna pointed out, making Celestia jump and fly to the window (leaving her cake, though,) to see the current state of the sun. Yes. It was up in the sky again... With no magic at all. "How? All unicorn and alicorn magic is gone! This can't be possible!" Celestia spoke. "That's why I came here," Luna said back. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" Celestia said in a slightly louder tone. "Because it's supposed to be 2 in the morning..," Luna answered. "2?! The sun is supposed to go up at 8!" Celestia questioned. "Don't you mean 7? Because 8 seems late." "Whatever time morning starts!" Celestia said louder. "...right," Luna slightly nodded as a reply. "So, what are we supposed to do?" Celestia asked, her tone being normal yet again. "Don't ask me. You rise the sun up, not me," Luna answered. "Well right now NOPONY is rising it up!... Unless this is just a prank! Or a dream! Yeah!" Celestia walked up to Luna and shook her with her hooves, "Wake me up!!" "First off, let me go," Luna said, having Celestia release her right afterwards. "Second, this is not a dream, nor my doing," she stopped and thought for a moment. "What about Discord? He can do whatever he wants..." "He's reformed, Luna. I'm pretty sure he learned his lesson," Celestia said back. "Pretty sure?" Luna questioned. "Look, if anything goes wrong about him, we'll call Fluttershy for help," Celestia said, calmly. "The Fluttershy? The one that's in Tartarus and may not escape?" Luna pointed out. Celestia started to freak out at that point. If Fluttershy's not around, then- "Princess Celestia. You have a call from a Canterlot citizen here waiting for you," a guard spoke from the doors. "Alright, I'll be there in a moment," Celestia said back, having the guard nod as an answer,"We'll continue this discussion later, right?" She turned to Luna. "Mhm," she nodded, hugged her sister and watched her as she left the room. Just as the door closed, Luna spoke up, "Me? Pranking her? I wish! Whoever thought of this joke must be someone even more hilarious than Pinkie!" "I heard that!" Today "..So, Luna?" Celestia asked from her bedroom doors, speaking to Luna who is hidden underneath the sheets. "WHAT?!" Luna yelled out roughly, jumping out of her sheets. "Didn't we need to speak of the you-know-which topic a few days before?" Celestia questioned, walking over to Luna and her bed. "Your overreaction on you and the Celestia-banana video from the fourth wall?" Luna asked with a smug. "What? No! The sun-went-up-with-no-magic topic, not the Celestia-hates-being-a-banana topic!" Celestia said in an annoyed tone. Luna let out a chuckle, and gestured with her hoof for Celestia to sit by her. After Celestia sat on Luna's bed, she let out a longer huff, and began: "So, have you figured out anything new about the sun?" "Yes...," Luna said dramatically. "What is it?" Celestia questioned, with a strong urge to figure it out. "It..." Celestia perked up her ears. "Went up," Luna finished, with Celestia groaning and falling onto the bed. Luna laughed hysterically after her joke. "Any actual news?" Celestia sat back up. "Well, that's all I got," Luna answered. Celestia facehoofed at her reply. "Well, actually... I did figure something out... Kind of. Twilight got a letter from somewhere telling each and every description about that specific world. It seems the sun goes up there on it's own, and it was like that since forever. I guess we just push up - you push the sun, while I push the moon - and let it go up on it's own," Luna explained. "Hm... Interesting..," Celestia thought for a moment, putting her hoof under her chin. "Plus, we seem to be famous," Luna chuckled, "some more than others." "Say what now?" "Princess, 4 ponies are requesting your help. You have to leave your room," a guard said from the doors of the princess of the sun, who laid in bed for about a day, questioning everything related to the sun in her head. "I can't! I'm no princess of the sun anymore! I'm just... An Equestrian princess! They're looking for the 'princess of the sun', not the 'princess'!" Celestia said to the guard, who had a confused look on his face. "It's nothing related to the sun, princess," the guard continued. "Ask them what do they need, then let me know what they're here for," Celestia said, teleporting a peace of cake and a fork with her magic. "Okay, princess," the guard nodded and left the room. "Hm... I've got it!" Celestia said cheerfully as she flew off of her bed (leaving her cake again). "This is getting boring. She just gets up and starts writing a letter?" Daybreaker spoke, looking at a giant screen in front of her face. Behind her was just fire and smoke. The black walls were fully black, but they couldn't be seen because of all the flame surrounding the room. It seemed to be only a half of the room, while on the other half... "I agree. Why couldn't she talk to herself so we can figure out what she's thinking?" Nightmare Moon sat on the other half of the room. It was fully black aswell, but there were stars that made the room look more.. sky-looking. It had smoke aswell, but it was pitch black. "Should we jump into her room and surprise her? She seems a little too excited," Daybreaker suggested to the black mare on her left. "I thought you'll never ask," Nightmare Moon grinned as she answered. They both powered up their horns, and disappeared; Nightmare in a sky night cloud, and Daybreaker into a cloud looking like ashes. "Gah!" Twilight yelled out as she fell from her chair in her office. She looked up to see her surprise visit. "Luna? Why are you here?" "Well, you see, Celestia and I have been having some... Certain trouble these days," Luna spoke as she flew off of Twilight chair and placed her back on it with magic. "What kind of trouble?" Twilight questioned. "Well-" "Hey, Twilight!" Starlight walked into the office. "What's princess Luna doing here?" She asked. "Starlight, you're a school councillor! You can help princess Luna with her issue," Twilight spoke. "You have an issue? Well, you've came to the right pony!" Starlight said confidently. "Technically, she came to me first but you walked in now, so-" Twilight began, and got interrupted. "How long did you speak to Mudbriar yesterday?" Starlight asked in annoyance. Twilight chuckled nervously. "Anyways, I hope you'll help Luna out now, because I have a LOT to do right now, so if you'll excuse me..." Twilight powered her horn, took a quill and a bunch of papers. Starlight rolled her eyes. "Follow me, princess." The two exited the room off to Starlight's office. After both of them got settled, Starlight began: "So, what's been bothering you?" "Well, there's this issue me and my sister had for a... longer time now, and it's-" "Hey, Luna! Long time no see!" Starlight looked shocked, and Luna turned around to see Nightmare Moon. "OH COME ON! There can't be at least one day that there's no bad guy?" Luna groaned after she spoke. Nightmare Moon sighed. "Fine, I just wanted to say 'Hello' and mess with your life like Daybreaker, but I guess I'm too much of a villain to offer you something nice," she laughed evilly and disappeared in her night cloud. Luna rolled her eyes and facehoofed, while Starlight.. "What has just happened?" "..and that's why we don't need to do anything anymore!" Celestia finished. There were 3 chairs in her audience, on which 3 ponies sat on; Twilight, Luna, and Starlight, while they didn't notice Daybreaker in the background clapping. "So, what do you think?" Celestia asked cheerfully. "I think I don't need to be here, I mean, I don't rise the sun or moon," Twilight commented. "Well, you will take over Equestria in the near future anyways, so you should know!" Celestia replied. "Technically-" "How long did you talk to Mudbriar yesterday?!" Starlight complained. "Oh, just an hour or two!" Twilight replied quickly, in an annoyed tone. "Any other questions?" Celestia asked. Silence. "Guess your question was the last of the day, Celestia. Goodnight, folks!" Daybreaker said before disappearing. "Well, um..." Twilight started. "We're done with this, goodnight!" Luna said, teleporting everyone away, leaving the room empty.
