//------------------------------// // Venom // Story: One Way Ticket // by APStories //------------------------------// "What the hell is that thing?!", a S.W.A.T. officer shouted. The lethal protector, Venom, was standing with the Equestria Girls and I, who all had flamethrowers. Rainbow Dash (my girlfriend) had bonded with Venom, a hulking black monster. "Guess what time it is? Time to die!", I said. Venom and the Equestria Girls shared a laugh. With a crazed, maniacal laugh, I activated my flamethrower and sent the officers packing. "That's your boyfriend?", Venom asked his host. "Yep. He's crazy, handsome, and I've known him since childhood", Rainbow Dash answered. Once the officers disappeared, I turned to Venom. "Alright. You're safe now. I don't know why these officers want you. I mean, you haven't done anything wrong." "Well, with you and the girls protecting me-", Venom started to say. "This just in. A red monster is on the loose in Canterlot. Citizens are advised to stay indoors at all times", a TV reporter said. "Carnage", Venom and I said in unison. "You know him?", Pinkie asked. "He's... my offspring. The 999th symbiote", Venom said. He reabsorbed back into Rainbow Dash. "I'm gonna go home and protect our daughter", I said. "I'm sorry I got you pregnant during freshman year, Dash." "It's okay, Alan. I love you. Our daughter was a blessing", Rainbow Dash replied. We kissed passionately. We separated. I ran off. "Awww, that's sweet", Venom said. Back at home... "Aura? Sweetie? Hello?", I called. "Dad? What's going on? Where's Mom?", my three-year-old asked. I kneeled down to her level. "She and the others are... not gonna be back for a while. Venom is in for the fight of his life. He's... facing off against his offspring. I'll stay with you", I answered. "Is Mom coming back?", Aura asked. "I hope so", I answered. I held my Ocellus plush close. "What's that?", Aura asked. "My... plushie", I answered with an embarrassed smile. "She's a changeling named Ocellus. I got her when I was around your age. I was thinking about giving her to you, but she's... special to me. It's the only thing I have from my family." I hugged my daughter. I put Aura to bed. In the living room, I called Rainbow Dash. "Dashie? It's me. I put our little angel to bed. I hope you come back. I can't bear the thought of losing you." On the other side, Rainbow Dash listened with a tearful smile. "I love you to pieces. If I have to tell Aura that you aren't coming home, then... I don't know what I'm going to do." My call was interrupted by another. "Oh, I'm getting another call. Talk to you later." I hung up and answered the second call. "Hello?" The response I got was complete gibberish. However, it sounded familiar. The gibberish lasted for about 5 minutes. I put the call on reverse, and sure enough, As The Lights Go Out by DAGames played. However, this wasn't the piano nor rock versions. This was a remastered version. The phone rang again. William Alexander Ryan/DAGames answered. "Hello? Mr. Kubicz?", Will called. "I'm here. What's up?", I asked. "Heart Of An Artist: Resurrection is coming soon, so I sent you that audio. What do you think?", Will asked. "I love it. As The Lights Go Out was my favorite track on the original Heart Of An Artist, so this was nostalgic. Good luck on both this and The Goliath's Throne", I replied. "Thanks. PEACE OUT!", Will answered. "Bye-bye!", I replied. I hung up. I hummed As The Lights Go Out. I put Eternal Swing into my radio and listened to the five songs. The songs are Build Our Machine, Gospel Of Dismay, Instruments Of Cyanide, Meet Thy Maker, and Mr. Crooked. I eventually fell asleep. After Mr. Crooked, the radio turned off. I eventually woke up. At Sunset's house... "If we're going to take on Carnage, we'll need some backup", I said. "I broke into the Life Foundation and captured the five artificial symbiotes. I almost got caught, but Aura was able to distract the security guards." I opened one of the canisters. A writhing gray liquid oozed out. It attached to Twilight, who screamed like a little girl. "Sheesh! You scream louder than me!", Aura (full name: Aurora Borealis Dash) said. The liquid absorbed into Twilight. "What the hell was that?!", Twilight asked. "Riot. Riot is what you would call a team leader", Venom said. The other four canisters remained closed. "Will I die?!", Twilight asked. "Is Riot gonna kill me?! Will-" I hugged Twilight. "Shh. Calm down, Twilight", I said. She returned the embrace. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Pinkie open another canister. "NO!" But it was too late. The yellow symbiote had already absorbed into Pinkie. "What?", Pinkie asked. I facepalmed myself. "Which symbiote was that?", Venom asked. "Scream", I replied. "What's the purple one?", Rarity asked. "Agony", I said. Agony absorbed into Rarity. "Fluttershy, you take Lasher, the green one. Applejack, you take Phage, the orange one." Fluttershy and Applejack bonded with their respective symbiotes. "What about me?", Sunset asked. "I couldn't find a sixth one. Wait, where's Twilight?", I replied. "Some S.W.A.T. officers appeared. She went to go take care of them", Aura said. "Oh, sweet mother of pingas nuggets!", I said. I ran outside. A hulking gray monster was obliterating the entire S.W.A.T. force. Venom overtook Rainbow Dash and ran outside. "Shit", Venom said. Suddenly, he whispered something in my ear. I nodded affirmatively. I took out my phone, turned the volume all the way up, and played a song. The volume of the song caused Riot to quake. However, that didn't seem to work. "I have one more song. Hope it works", I said. Riot reabsorbed back into Twilight. "Oh, whatever", I said. "Pinkie, I need you to figure out where Cletus Kasady/Carnage is. Everyone is in danger." "Got it", Pinkie replied. She ran off into the night. However, more S.W.A.T. officers appeared. "Hands!", an officer shouted. Pinkie put her hands up. "On the ground, now!" Pinkie had a look of fear on her face. "Guys, you do not want to do this. Trust me", Pinkie said. "Mask!", another officer shouted. "Copy!", a third officer replied. "Alright, then. Mask!", Pinkie said. "Copy!", Scream replied. The yellow symbiote overtook Pinkie. "What the hell is that thing?!", a fourth officer shouted. The S.W.A.T. officers started shooting at Scream, but she was too strong for the puny officers. She quickly defeated them. She leaped off into the night. Scream reabsorbed back into Pinkie. Pinkie's phone started ringing. Royal Pin/Pokey Pierce was calling her. "Who is Pokey? Your pulse has quickened", Scream asked. "That is none of your goddamn business", Pinkie replied. "Everything of yours is my business, Pinkie", Scream said. "Shit. Yeah?", Pinkie said. "Pinkie, where are you? I'm at Sunset's house, looking for you", Pokey Pierce said. In the background, I could be heard playing Midnight Evil. "Ask Alan", Pinkie said. She hung up. "We need to get to higher ground", Scream said. "That building looks high enough." Scream overtook Pinkie, and she leaped onto the top of the building. "Hmmm. It is peaceful up here. Your world is not so ugly after all." "There! I see something red!", Pinkie said. "Let's get out of here", Scream said. She leaped off into the night. Back at Sunset's house... "Alright, the microphone is set up", I said. "'Long before the first humans stood upright and took their place in the world, there was a beautiful land that was ruled by what many would come to call the Fae. These ancient beings were worshipped by mankind, but they were also feared. Humans were right to be afraid for there were many creatures that lived in the darkness watching us, waiting.' (Bang!) Hey, no! You can't have my ass! My ass belongs to me! 'Most were harmless enough, amusing themselves by causing mischief and playing pranks on humans that crossed their paths.' Oh, you don't say? 'However, some had more sinister intentions. The Urkling, for example, have developed a liking for the taste of human children. These monsters are small, unnaturally fast, and impossible to kill. It was an unlucky tragedy for my people that we decided to build our village here right in the middle of the Urkling's territory. We have lost so many of our children over this past year. There aren't enough tears in this world to weep for their loss.' Okay, then. 'Thankfully, though, my grandmother taught me well in the ways of my Druid ancestors. I may not be able to kill the little beasts, but I was able to work out a spell that binds them to this book. I can only hide it and pray that it never falls into the hands of a child. If you are reading this, know that I'm truly sorry for the demons that have now been passed onto you. Opening this book will have awakened them, and I'm sure they will be ravenously hungry.' Shit. 'Once the book is opened, you must read it from beginning to end in order to return them to their magical prison. Be watchful. They will only attack if you don't see them coming.' (Knock, knock.) Hey, no! 'Most importantly, once you finish this book, keep it hidden so that no one ever opens it again.' Look, Mama! I released demons into our house! What fun! Worst bedtime story ever." "Boo!", Scream said. "Ah!", I screamed. Scream reabsorbed back into Pinkie. "Oh, thank God." I hugged her tightly. "I think that game has me on edge." "Alan, we know where Cletus Kasady is", Pinkie said. "Alright. Fluttershy, you're up", I said. Lasher overtook Fluttershy and leaped off into the night.
