The codex's unfinshed

The advisor

Another bloody tartarus evening to greet me once again...I’m really starting to tire of this rather tiresome endeavor. It’s been only twelve years since I took up this position and I still remember it to be my rather stressful yet most exciting day of my life; but nowadays after each passing day this job I held so highly now feels more than a chore.

Always wake before the sun sets, get prepped/dress, and make sure everything is prepared ahead of time. I know she appreciates my work and rather have no other to serve by her side...though at times I feel empty like a mere body winded as a mere toy to fulfill their duty.

If you asked ‘If I liked my job?’ I would automatically answer ‘Yes, of course.’ Though deep down I will hold back my actual response since it would cause more trouble than good. Instead I’d rather have none of the hassle or word spread about on my thoughts. I actually believe she already knows of my feelings on the matter and instead chooses to leave it be until I decide to come forward. We’ve gotten to know each other pretty closely over the years, afterall.

Tightening my bow tie to finish off my outfit I then took a look over my uniform. Being satisfied with my work I added the pin and ruffled my mane finishing the final touches. Trotting out of my suite I nodded to the guards then continued forward down the halls waving and nodding to the castle employees heading off for the day. Finally after the short journey along with a few chit-chat here and there I’ve finally reached my office.

Upon opening the door the very first thing to assault me was the smell of musky papers filed high over my desk along with ink filling the room. Many have commented on my work space saying I should really tidy up or be more professional about the place, but I brushed all that beneath the rug since I once upon a time have tried to tidy the place only for it to last about a week before it was back to its original state since request, appointments, and other comical things that came through. If anything I rather call this more like organized chaos.

Taking a sit then pulling myself toward the desk I began to file through the massive amount of teties paperwork making sure to read through everyone before sorting the important ones from the trash. Being in this position over the years I would have believed that the request from the nobles to actual request some things more sensible, but at last it was mere stupid things asking for things from the crown or to fulfill their ego more. Sighing I quickly snuck a glance toward the clock to see that it was close to time to head out.

Exiting the office I tucked the schedule and paperwork to be signed off underneath my wing before heading toward the kitchen to pick up breakfast. Once reaching my destination to pick up the tray. Call me surprised to be met with nothing waiting for me so instead I snorted at the bs, then quickly stomped my way to the back to see none of the chefs around. I screamed inside my head at the crap.

Leading out a breath I calmed myself before tucking the papers and my jacket to the side. Rolling up my sleeves then tying back my hair I quickly started to prepare a meal with somewhat haste since time was slowly ticking away by the second for me to awaken her for the evening. So with that in mind I quickly got to work.

Finishing up the final touches I took a step back to see my work before nodding. I bag and tagged the meal then slipped on my jacket along with tucking the papers underneath my wing. Ready I fast trotted forward to hopefully make up some last time. Rounding the corner I swiftly sorted myself to look neat; Trotting in front of her door I once again nodded to the guards before venturing through the door.

What greeted my was the usual pitch black interior of her room in disarray, while light snores echoed throughout the room from the one occupant who occupied the room. I quietly trotted toward the other side of the room near the balcony before placing the tray upon my back onto the table then headed to the washroom to prepare her bath and set up the necessary ensemble for the evening.

Once having everything ready I pulled back the curtains and voiced my evening greeting
