Twilight opens her eyes to see a bright blue sky with light fluffy clouds floating by " Where am I?" She thinks, sitting up and looking around. Trees surround her with an ocean in the distance. She turns around to see a castle and a town surrounding it. She stands up and looks around her a mediate area. She sees Rarity laying a few feet from her, but she is wearing a white cloak with a white hat and a staff nearby. Fluttershy is next to her. She is in a green thief outfit and has a dagger. Finally, Rainbow Dash is waking up, she is in full red armor, and a sword is on her back. Twilight looks at herself to see she is in a dark blue cloak with a pointed hat that gives off a shadow that covers most of her face. On her back is a wooden staff.
" What happened?" Dash asks, standing up and rubbing her head.
" I don't know," Twilight says digging through her saddlebag. All she finds is a blue crystal. "Can You check your saddlebag, please?" Dash nodes and digs through her own bag. Her eyes widen when she sees only a red crystal.
" Why do I only have a red crystal in my bag?" Dash asks as Rarity stands up.
"Darling, where did you get that armor and you, where did you get that cloak?" Rarity says, pointing at them.
"We could ask you the same thing," Twilight replays as Rarity looks at herself. She then looks inside her bag for a mirror, but only finds a white crystal and 500 bits.
"Why is there a white crystal and 500 bits in my saddle bag?" Rarity asks as Fluttershy gets up.
"I don't know, and let me guess, Fluttershy has a green crystal," Twilight says pointing a hoove at Fluttershy. She looks into her bag to see... a green crystal. She nods and closes her bag.
"Nice guessing daring," Rarity says as the group looks around.
"I guess we should go to that town," Dash says pointing to the town. The group walks over to the gate to the town. The gate is wide open. It stands 20 feet tall, with beautiful designs of monsters from mythology carved on them. There are 2 guards standing at the gate, one is a mare, and the other is a stallion. They both have red armor like Rainbow Dash, but they have iron helmets with a griffin crest on them.
"Those are definitely not our royal guards," Twilight says as Rarity walks up to the stallion.
"Hello, can you tell us where we are?" She asks using her normal charm.
"You are going into the town of dreams, Cornelia. Mam," He says, giving a little nod.
"Thank you," Twilight says, walking by and giving the guard a smile. The group follows right behind. When they enter, they see a small town with ponies and griffin mingling about. The group looks to there left to see an INN. Then an earth pony walks out with a watering can and starts watering the flowers around the INN. They continue down the path until they stop at a fountain. In the middle of the fountain is a stone unicorn, water is coming out of its horn. On the stone she's standing on is a plaque that reads, Ægir (Aegir) the sea god. They look to the left to see an armor shop and the weapon shop. They both look similar and quite small, but they both have a sign saying what they are. On the road, just a few feet in front of them are some magic shops.
"Rarity, didn't you say you have 500 bits?" Dash asks Rarity as she pulls out a little baggy.
"Yes, but we are not spending it on weapons," Rarity says as the bag is engulfed in purple and floated to Twilight.
"We already seem to have those, so we need to get some magic," Twilight says as they walk down the path.
"But can't you use magic already?" Fluttershy asks as they turn the corner to the magic shops.
"Yes, but I have a feeling this place will not allow me to use it," Twilight says as they enter the white Magic shop.
"Svool, how can I help you?" A unicorn mare asks from the desk. She has a white coat with red curly main and is wearing the same outfit as Rarity.
"Svool?" Dash whispers, Twilight ignors her.
"Yes, what kind of spells do you have?" Twilight asks as the mare pulls a magic ball from under the desk.
"We have Cue, Dai, Protect, and Blink," Twilight scratches her chin as the mare explains the magic. "Cue heals one pony, Dia Deals damage to all undead foes, Protect raises one ponies defense, and Blink raises caster's evasion,"
"I would like Cue and Protect," Twilight says as she places the little bag on the counter. "How much is it?"
"100 bits please," the mare says plainly. Twilight places the bits on the desk and places the bag back into her saddlebag. "ok, now close your eyes," She says as the group closes there eyes. Then a bright light comes from the ball and absorbed into Rarity's horn which gives off a little glow in response.
"Did anything happen?" Twilight asks as they open their eyes. The mare nods and points to Rarity.
"Only she could learn those spells," She says putting the ball away.
"So she's like a healer," Twilight thought as the group walks out of the shop. They turn right and walk over to the black magic shop. They enter to see a similar setup, but there is a stallion at the desk. He has a red coat, long black main, and the same outfit as Twilight.
"How can I help you ladies today?" He asks, smiling and taking out a magic book from under the counter.
"What magic do you have?" Twilight asks pulling out the bit bag.
"We have Fire, Sleep, Focus, and thunder," Twilight scratches her head as the stallion explains the effects. "Fire deals fire damage to one foe, Sleep puts all foe's to sleep, Focus lowers one foe's evasion, and thunder deals lightning damage to one foe."
"I will take Fire and thunder," She says, they close there eyes as a flash of black light envelops them. It all absorbs into Twilight's horn. They open their eyes to see her horn glowing black.
"That would be 100 bits," He says as the bit bag empties out with just under 300 bits left.
"I must have damaged magic then," She thinks as the group walks out.
"Now what?" Dash asks as a guard walks up to them. He has a similar outfit to the ones at the gate, but his helmet is gold with a ruby-encrusted into it.
"Are you new here?" He asks getting the groups attention.
"Yes...?" Twilight says hesitantly.
"You must go see the king right now, I will show you to him," He says ushering them to come with him. They follow right behind him.
"Why do we need to see him?" Twilight asks as they walk into the castle. The surrounding walls were about 25 feet tall. Every 10 feet is a painting of the landscape or a painting of an animal.
"The king really knows how to decorate," Rarity says as the walk up a spiral staircase.
"To answer your question, he has been looking for the heroes of light, and I think they.... might be you," He says as they walk down a hallway. The floor is carpeted with ruby red fur. They walk up to a 10-foot tall door made out of gold and is inscribed with dragons on it. The eyes of the dragons are made of ruby.
"He really likes rubies," Dash says as the group was ushered into the room. There in the center of the room was a griffin sitting on a gold throne. His brow rises at the sight of them. Next to the throne is Gallus in gold armor and with a spear. His eyes widen when he sees Twilight and her friends.
"Hello your majesty," Twilight says not noticing Gallus. They all bow to him, he raises a claw, signaling for them to rise. They do as they are commanded.
"Svool, Art thee the h'ros of lighteth?" He asks in a Princess Luna fashion. "If 't be true thou art, then showeth us thy gems," He asks as the group shows them there crystals. "V'ry well, thee seeth mine own daught'r hast been kidnapp'd by mine own owneth broth'r, Garland. Shall thee saveth h'r?" The group nodes.
"We shall doth our most wondrous to saveth thy daught'r," Twilight says. She then realizes what she said. "How did I do that?" She thinks as the king continues.
"Mine own both'r liveth in the fusty castle up n'rth, if 't be true thee saveth mine own daught'r, i shall rebuild the bridge so thee can continueth on thy quest," the group nodes.
"Mine own majesty, those gents might not knoweth wh're thy broth'r jump liveth, i shouldst leadeth those folk to that gent." Galus speaks up. The group all gasp in unison, not realizing Gallus was there.
"Thee may wend, anon leaveth," the king gestures for them to leave. Gallus fallows the group outside. Once the doors close Gallus takes off his helmet.
"What are you guys doing here?" Gallus asks.
"I was about to ask you the same thing," Twilight says. "So whatever brought us her affected the school too?"
"Well, what I want to know is how you talked like luna?" Rarity asks politely.
"I don't know how I did that either," Twilight confess.
"This place is weird," Dash comments as they leave the castle.
The group is walking through the forest with no care in the world. Well maybe except for the fact they don't know how they got there.
"What's that?" Dash asks pointing at a human with green cloths and pointed ears.
"That's a Goblin," Gallus relies as the goblin draws his sword.
"It looks like He wants to fight," Dash says getting her sword out. Right then 3 other Goblins jump to there friend's side.
"Look rens, sto ha those sreth?!" One of the Goblins yells pointing at Twilight.
"What did he say?" Fluttershy asks. The group just shrugs.
"We should get ready for a fight," Gallus says, pulling out his spear.
"Why?" Rarity ask as a Goblin charges at Fluttershy. He swipes at her as Rainbow dash tackles Fluttershy out of the way.
"All right! That's it!" Dash yells as the Goblin retreats.
"All right, Dash, use your sword and strike the middle one, Rarity, use protect on Fluttershy, Fluttershy, use your dagger to the left one, I will use fire on the right on," Twilight says, reading her spell.
"What about me?" Gallus asks, annoyed.
"You can site out," Twilight remarks.
"Let's do this!" The group yells. Dash runs up to the middle one, bringing down her sword on top of the Goblin. It disintegrates on contact. She runs back to the group as a goblin throws his sword at Twilight. It hits her on the back taking out a big chunk of her skin. The Goblin pulls out another sword.
"Twi, you all right?" Fluttershy asks as Rarity places protection on Fluttershy.
"I'm fine Fluttershy," She says casting fire on the right Goblin. It disintegrates as the fire engulfs him.
"Now Fluttershy," Dash says as she walks up to the Goblin. She takes out her dagger and swipes at the goblin. It disintegrates almost instantly.
"Nice work Fluttershy!" Dash says placing her sword back on her back and running to her friend. They hug for a few seconds then see a small pile of bits on the ground.
"I guess they left us some bits," Rarity says, butting it into her bag. Raising her bit count from 300 to 306.
"Let's keep going," Twilight says walking north towards the castle.
"North is the other way!" Gallus says, pointing the other way. Twilight awkwardly chuckles and walks the right way.
The group walks into an open field of grass. In every direction they look is grass.
"This looks like a good place to stop for the night," Twilight says looking at the setting sun. Right then two Goblins in purple cloths walk out of the trees.
"Twilight look out!" Dash yells, Twilight jumps to the right as the Goblin guard slams down his sword.
"Not again," She says turning around. "Get ready everypony!" She says as everypony gets there weapons ready. "All right, Dash use your sword like you did last time, Rarity use protection on Fluttershy, Fluttershy you can stay put this time, I will use fire on the other one and Gallus attack any of them still standing. All right everypony," The group nods in agreement to the plain. Before they can do anything, one of the Goblin guards runs over and swings his sword at Fluttershy. She gets hit in the leg, but other than that she's fine. The Goblin runs back to his friend.
"Now Dash," Rarity says putting a protection spell on Fluttershy. Dash runs up to the Goblin guard that hurt her friend and stabs him in the gut. He disintegrates on contact with the sword, she then runs back to her friends. Gallus runs up to the Goblin guard that is left and slashes at it. Nothing happens as Gallus doges a counter-attack.
"I said to kill any that were left after we were done!" Twilight yells as Gallus as the Goblin runs up to Rarity and slashes her in the foreleg. He then runs back to his spot.
"I didn't know that wouldn't kill him!" Gallus retorts as Twilight uses her fire spell on the Goblin and disintegrates it almost instantaneously.
"O! YA! we did it! we did it!" Dash says doing a victory dance.
"Alright everypony, we should get some rest," Twilight says getting comfortable on the ground. The grass is surprisingly soft for a hard floor.
The group is walking throw the Plato of grass. Without them knowing a wolf was stoking them.
"Darling, do you know where we are going?" Rarity asks Gallus who is checking the map.
"I think so," He was interrupted when a yellow wolf jumps out of no were. The group doges out of the way. Gallus puts the map away and ready his spear. "Get ready everyone!" He yells as 3 other wolfs walk out of the grass and next to there friends.
"Great! there's 4 of them," Dash says sarcastically.
"All Right, Rarity, use protect on Fluttershy, Gallus, attack the far left wolf, Fluttershy, defend your self, Rainbow attack the second one to the left, then get out of the way because I will be using Fire," Twilight tells the group as the wolf slowly walk towards them.
Gallus lunges towards the far left wolf and slashes him with his spear. He flaps his wing to push himself away from the wolf, but the wind created from his wings also push the wolf back, making it fall on to it's back. Rarity put protect on Fluttershy as a wolf lunges at her. She screams as Rainbow slashes the wolf on have. The pieces land on the ground and disintegrates.
"Get down!" Twilight yells as a wolf jumps as her. She forms a fireball above her horn and blasts it at the wolf. The wolf wines in pain as it catches fire. It lands on the ground and rolls on the ground to put out the fire. The wolf that Gallus nocked over runs toward Gallus in anger. Gallus ducks as the wolf slash at him, cutting him in the wings.
"You Mother F!!!" Gallus doesn't finish his sentence as he stabs the wolf in the gut with his spear. The wolf disappears, leaving behind 5 Bits.
"Nic hit Gallus," Rainbow says, giving an approving node as Gallus collects the Bits.
"Dash hit the one I burned, Gallus, hit the other one," Twilight says. Rainbow puts her sword in her mouth and dives toward the burnt wolf. She spins turning her self into moving chan saw. She goes right threw the wolf. It disappears and turns into 4 Bites.
She collects the bites as Gallus stabs the other wolf in the head. It disintegrates after he pulls the spear out.
"That was... exhilarating" Rarity says as they regroup.
"So where exactly is the castle?" Twilight asks Gallus.
"This way," Gallus says, putting away his spear. The group walks into the forest without them knowing someone was following them.
