One day in Equestria, Shining Armor was finishing the practices for the new security measures to protect the Crystal Empire. Since the incident with Queen Chrysalis at Flurry Heart's first birthday party, defenses had become stronger, and stricter. The following evening, evryone was thrilled to hear that the meteor shower would be happening. Celestia had been tracking this one for quite some time, and it would be coming tonight. The nation watched as the meteors came streaking down from the dark sky. Flurry Heart giggled happily, because she had never seen one before in her life. Ponies and other creatures cheered and clapped as the final shooting star fell. It was the brightest, and largest of them all. 

Little did anyone know that the last one was a fake shooting star, hiding a terribly dark secret. At the place where it landed, which was in viewing distance from the Crystal Empire, something scary was about to happen.
