//------------------------------// // Chapter 4: A Demonstration of Power // Story: Rise of the Titans (edited) // by darkmage1997 //------------------------------// The morning came, and the Fujiyama siblings had to find food for breakfast, "Ok guys, where should we start looking?" Silver asked. "I think I see an orchard over in that direction," Stealth replied, pointing towards Sweet Apple Acres. Raiden took out some binoculars from his hat, and inspected the orchard. "Well, it certainly does look to have more than enough apples for us to eat, but it also looks to belong to that orange pony we met yesterday," Raiden said, seeing some fencing around the trees, as well as the farm further up. "Well, our best bet now would be to try and find some fruit trees growing elsewhere," Icezer commented. "Well, I know how you guys feel about it, but we could always ask the princess and her pals if we can join them for breakfast," Silver suggested. "Are you sure? We don't even know them. For all we know, they can be just like the adults and other humans back home," Brian countered. "Do you have psychic powers?" Silver asked. The other seven brothers knew he had them there. "Well, alright. But I don't like this one bit," Brian snarled, as they walked towards town. Unbeknownst to any of them, or the townsfolk, a group of evil was slowly encroaching on the unsuspecting town. For the Mane Six and their families, the morning was fairly normal. They did all their normal morning routines, having breakfast, doing their normal hygiene regiments, and their chores. While busy in her library, Twilight couldn't help but wonder about the Fujiyama kids, "I hope they're ok," Twilight said to herself. She had only stepped outside for a moment, when she saw the very group of kids she was thinking about, walking about, no doubt looking for food, "Oh, boys! Over here!" Twilight called, drawing the attention of the nine siblings. "Hello again Twilight. I trust your morning is going well?" Raiden asked. Though she could tell he was being polite, Twilight could sense a hint of caution in his words. It became apparent to the lavender princess that the other seven brothers, apart from Silver, still don't fully trust Twilight. "Yes it has. I take it you boys are looking for something to eat?" Twilight asked. "We are. Though it's proving difficult to find some unclaimed fruit trees," Silver replied. "Well, I could whip up some pancakes if you want. I'll even let you eat out here, if you're not wanting to come inside," Twilight offered. "Well, that would be much appreciated. Thank you," Silver bowed. With that, Twilight retreated back into the castle to make them some pancakes. Lookin around, Icezer saw that some ponies were all looking towards the sky with alarmed expressions. Looking towards where they were all looking, he adopted a similar alarmed expression. "Guys.... LOOK!" the icy teen exclaimed, pointing to the sky. Looking towards what their brothers looking at, the Fujiyama siblings all saw a particular gang of teenaged dragons, all coming in for a landing in front of the castle. "There it is guys. An entire castle made entirely of crystal! All for us to eat!" the lead dragon, who was red, said ambitiously. "Looks amazing!" a chunkier dragon commented. It was then they noticed the Fujiyama brothers. "Hey, beat it! This place is OURS to eat!" the lead dragon snarled. "Last I checked, this castle was claimed, so I see no reason why you should claim it for yourself," Silver commented, stepping forth. "I guess you guys aren't from around here. See, here's how things work. We're dragons, the mightiest of all creatures! We take what we want and no one can stop us!" the lead dragon snapped. "What a complete bother. You only make that claim because you view every other living creature as inferior to you. But riddle me this..... what do you do when you face some one who is stronger than you?" Raiden questioned, as the brothers all took a stand in opposition to the dragons. "You're out of your mind! There's nothing stronger than a dragon! Go teach these chumps a lesson!" the lead dragon barked at the chunky dragon. "Got it," the chunky dragon said, as he charged at the brothers. He was about to rake them with his claws when Silver held up his hand, becoming enveloped in a cyan glow, stopping the dragon's attack, much to the shock of the other dragons and some ponies who were watching them. With a flick of his fingers, Silver sent the hapless dragon back, crashing through a tree. "You don't seem to get us either. Our powers are far too great for such basic attacks to work," Silver explained. "Then I guess we're just going to have to do this the hard way then," a lankier dragon with hair covering his eyes commented. "Is that a challenge?" Brian questioned. "More like an invitation to getting taught a lesson!" the lead dragon yelled, as the chunky dragon rejoined them. "Very well. Which of you shall oppose us first?" Silver demanded. Another dragon stepped forward. "You guys may be strong, but we're practically invincible!" he stated. Silver nudged for Stealth to go, which the ninja did. From the sidelines, the other Mane Six members, along with their kids were watching. Fluttershy, Toby and Serenity were watching with a hint of fear in their eyes at the dragons. Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash had looks of unease, while Pinkie Pie looked to be eager to see how this pans out. As for the other kids, they had looks of fear and unease at the sight of the dragons, as did some of the surrounding ponies, "Alright, take this!" the dragon yelled, as he blew fire at the ninja. "So predictable," Stealth said, as he dissipated into a bunch of leaves, making the fire breath miss. He then made some gestures with his hands, before placing them on the ground, "Briar Vine Jutsu" he said in Japanese. This made a bunch of briar vines sprout from the ground, and wrap all around the dragon. "Hey! What the....?!" he exclaimed before being tossed a great distance into a bunch of large boulders. "No way, how did they...? No matter, keep going!" the lead dragon barked. The lanky dragon went next. Silver then sent Raiden in. "I'll go with a more direct approach," the dragon commented, as he went in to slash at the straw-hat wearing teen. "How quaint," Raiden said, as he turned into electricity, and rocketed at the dragon. This not only stopped the dragon's attack, but sent him careening back into another massive boulder, critically injured. "Maybe those dragons should leave before they get hurt worse. Those guys are way too strong," Toby commented. "Not likely to happen, Toby. Dragons are extremely prideful, so they won't back down from this," Rarity replied, as Brian stepped up, enveloping himself in crimson flames. "Looks like once again, I have to do everything myself!" the lead dragon said, as he took flight, breathing fire at Brian, who simply dove into the flames. "Huh, looks like the stories I've heard about dragon fire weren't exaggerated after all," Brian said, as he used his fire to keep himself suspended in the air. Garble attacked, only for Brian to deliver a powerful kick to his jaw. The dragon attacked again, only for Brian to counter even harder. "I thought that dragon was much faster?" Rainbow Dash questioned. "That Brian guy is just too fast!" Pinkie replied, as the two combatants flew even higher into the skies. Garble tried hitting Brian with his fire breath, only for Brian to latch onto him from behind. "Hey, let me go!" Garble demanded, as he struggled to break free. "If that's what you want," Brian said, as he went full on nova, before hurdling towards the ground like a meteor. "No way.... even dragons can't stop these guys?!" Lyra exclaimed, as Brian and Garble neared the ground. "Here's my final move...… BLAZE EXECUTION!" Brian yelled, as they made contact with the ground, creating a massive crater, and a tornado of scarlet flames rocketed up into the sky. From the flames, Brian leapt out, unscathed. The same could not be said for Garble, as he struggled to keep standing. "Why..... you....," he said before loosing consciousness. "No way... the boss actually lost?" the chunky dragon commented. "Maybe coming here wasn't such a great idea after all," the lanky dragon replied, as they collected Garble, and ran off. "Behold our power! We are the strongest Mutants that exist! We're even stronger than a dragon," Silver proclaimed. "Amazing, they're strong! Incredibly strong!" Melody commented. "That's my big brothers for you! They always fight at their highest level when facing a threat!" Heaven proclaimed. It was then, that Twilight came back out, using her magic to levitate nine plates of pancakes. "Ok kids, come and...." Twilight silenced herself, when she saw what the three brothers had done. There was a massive crater where Brian used his final attack, with the earth still looking like lava, "Uh, did.... I miss something?" Twilight questioned, as her kids all saw the destruction. "Eh, some trouble making dragons thought they could chow down on your castle. We chased them off," Silver replied, as they all accepted the pancakes. "You should've seen them! They were way too strong for those dragons to handle!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "One of the perks of being Super Mutants," Silver replied, as they ate the pancakes that Twilight generously provided. Heaven practically drenched her stack in syrup, before devouring them all. "Dang it, Heaven! You need to control yourself with syrup," Raiden scolded. "Could we maybe use one of your bathrooms so we can clean Heaven off?" Silver asked. "Of course. You're all more than welcome to freshen up after breakfast," Twilight replied. "I think I may take you up on that offer, Princess," Raiden said, as they all finished up with their breakfast. "If you'll come with us, we'll show you guys to the bathrooms," Kelly offered, as she and her siblings led the Fujiyama Siblings into the castle. "So, can anyone tell me what exactly happened out here?" Twilight asked the crowd that amassed. However, unbeknownst to anyone there, an even greater evil approached.
