Now some of you long time listeners will remember we did have heartsongs direct from the wonderfully duplcitous mouths of Adagio, Scar and even featured one that was picked up by the loyalty impaired Decepticon Starscream from his prison inside Rainbow Dash's mind. Which by the looks of things, the Element of Loyalty's defining trait is beginning to transfer to the Back stabbing second in command of Megatron.
But I digress. You see Heartsongs can be sung for more the just love and affection between two beings. It can be any overridding emotion that leads to a personal epiphany. So allow me to set the scene. Their exists in one of the many reflections of Terra a hospital room. Five empty souless human bodies occupy these starched sterile beds. A family once, made up of a father, mother and three adorable teen girls. The souls that once occupied the bodies long since had departed to the greater realms. There to seek the rewards or punishments they had so earned in life. This family had been forgotten, the victims of an unknown and forgotten incident. Or at least no paperwork existed for it, which ammounts to the same thing. Remember children, no crime no time.
The city of Canterlot funded their care, the money coming from some long forgotten line of the budget. Once in a while a politician would use the forgotten family for some political agenda or another, but otherwise the bodies lay forgotten and undisturbed. More importantly, For the purposes of the five entities hovering over them, Unused.
Nightmare Moon, the crazed Tulpa of the Princess of the night and the enemy of all light.
The Pony of Shadows, the reflection of rage, birthed from the mind of Stygian and his anger at the betrayal of those he thought his friends.
Gaia Everfree, the corrupted alternate identity of one gloriosa Daisy.
Midnight Sparkle, the crazed Knowledge obsessed nihilist expression of Sci-Twi's inner darkness.
Finally, last but never least, Eclipse Shimmer, the Power hungry Demoness expelled from the former Megalomaniacal Sunset Shimmer.
You see your dear friend DJ Nyarlathotep knows a secret of the elements. They are a force of creation and Harmony. They are incapable of destroying anything. Indeed every use of the Elements is an act of Platonic Love bound in magic and such things are creative. These five had been birthed and banished as the Elements did what they always do, bring balance to those that have lost their way.
These five gather, The Pony Of Shadows descends towards the father, Nightmare Moon the mother, Gaia, Eclipse, and Sunset each pick one of the girls. These beings that were once parasites, now take their first steps into being their own beings. A glow engulfs the room as terrible spells of silent Blasphemy cut the isolated room from the rest of the world of terra.

Nightmare Moon continued the instruction.
It Leads You Down Into The Pit From Where The Souls Have Come And Left None.
Gaia Enrapt her spectral tendrils around her new home, singing her joy.

Midnight Shouted her Joy, new knowledge to test bringing her song forth.
Until we climb inside and make them our Home
Eclipse, farther along than her sisters, tore herself from her bed, As the life sustaining devices fell from her she shouted her triumph.

Her Sister's called her success
She's Opening HerEyes
Wailing her Success from a Mouth unused in years, Eclipse croaked.
Why can't I Move?
Her Mother's calm proud voice assured her daughter, via the ether

Eclipse calmed, but sang out to her family, that they might too know life

It was her father, that answered this time. Cautioning against hasty actions.
We Will Join You, Be Patient My Little Harpy
Smiling, Eclipse subsided. Resting, she shouted encouragement to those that had saved her.
Open Your Eyes
Midnight was the next to enter her body, pulling the wires from herself. Following her big sister's lead, she shouted her triumph.
My Heart's begun to Pump
Eclipse smiled, choking out a laugh she called.
Lay And Rest Up
Gaia screamed her triumph, yanking the tube from her esophagus. The oldest of the siblings at last ushered into the world.
I fill up my lungs
Eclipse hummed to her sisters as the energy of the world filled her.

This time both mother and father shouted their proud and joyous cautions to their children.
Wait For Us Please Don't JumpThe Gun
The Pony Of Shadows called to his mate.
Now That Our Kids Have Gotten Out
We Can Leave Here
Nightmare Moon moaned her answer.
Once More We Two Will Feel
Together the pair sang their goal.
We Come To Life
Eclipse called to her parents
Open your Eyes
Nightmare Moon rose, the tube sliding from her gracefully. The bed leaning her forward of her own will, as she sang her pronouncement.
The Dark Will Always Rise
Midnight Sang To Her Parents
Join Us In Life
Her Father grasped his bed, the tubes attached to his body shattering as he willed himself to move. Sitting up he sang.
The Light Will Always Fall
Gaia greeted for her parents.

Nightmare pulled the energy of this world to her,
Calling To The Dark

Nightmare Moon continued her song.

The Pony Of Shadows captured her narrative.

Rising from their beds in unison The went to each other, magic revitalizing their bodies and undoing the neglect. The Children ran forward as well, to greet their parents for the first time in the flesh.
