//------------------------------// // Let's make some noise (Preview) // Story: My Little Pirates // by TakeshiAshirogi //------------------------------// Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria There were two regal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn. The younger brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus the two sisters maintained balance for their kingdom, and their subjects: all the different types of ponies. But as time went on, the younger sister became resentful. The ponies relished and played in the day that the elder sister brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day, the young sister refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young one’s heart transformed herself into a wicked mare of darkness: Nightmare Moon! She vowed that she would shroud the land in an eternal night. Reluctantly, the elder sister harnessed the most powerful magic known to Ponydom: The Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony, she defeated her younger sister, and banished her permanently into the moon. The elder sister took on the responsibility of both the sun and the moon, and harmony has been maintained for generations since. But as time went on, the ponies of the land forgot about the younger sister, she became nothing more but a mere mare’s tale. During the time, the hatred of the younger sister only grew stronger. For one thousand years; for more then three hundred sixty-five thousand days; for more then eight million seven hundred and sixty thousand hours; for more then five hundred twenty-five million six hundred thousand minutes; for more then thirty-one billion five hundred and thirty six million seconds, the younger sister was forced to watch as her ponies lived their lives without her, watching as they ignored her cries for generations. But nothing lasts forever As time went on, the connection between the elder sister and the Elements of Harmony started to grow weaker Until finally the lock on her door was unlocked, the younger sister’s rage was finally able to be unleashed on to the ponies that have forgotten her. The elder sister was the first to meet her gaze, hoping to leave the past where it was, to lay there forgotten. The younger couldn’t do it, leaving the past where her sister suggested was where her past was now, just the very thought of returning there, something inside the younger sister snapped. From deep within, the younger sister unleashed a powerful magic upon the elder sister, forcing her to experience the same torment that she had experienced, banishing her onto the sun. After the deed was done, the younger sister looked at a small town, now it was time for those that forgot her to remember. But some pony did remember her. A new spark was created that same night, the Elements of Harmony chose new hosts to maintain their powers. The rainbow of light was too much for the younger sister, she was defeated once more, but this a miracle took place. All of the hatred; all of the loneliness; all of the sadness that the younger sister had was striped away from her. It was all destroyed along with the monster known as Nightmare Moon. The younger sister was finally able to live her life again with her sister, her ponies, and soon to be her new friends. The nightmare was finally over. But fear doesn’t go away that easily. The monster had returned, and with her she brought forth chaos. The monster had changed, she was now nothing more but the dark emotions that the younger sister had once suffered through. She wanted the whole universe to experience all the power in her body. The monster’s eyes were set on Equestria, everything that she knew about had that land connected at the center of everything. The monster unleashed all of her rage, releasing everything she had upon the land. Both the regal sisters stood their ground against the monster and her army, but the numbers and the powers they held became to great for them. Soon the harmony of the land was soon engulfed by the pain of war. No matter which pony stood in her way, the monster wanted the planet for herself. In a last ditch of effort, the bearers of the Elements of Harmony bound together to release a final wave over the monster’s armada. Soon the monster and her army were scattered across the universe, the land of Equestria was finally able to experience piece once more. If only for a little while. But such piece, if only a little, wasn’t with out sacrifices. The ones that bore the Elements of Harmony were lost. The powers of the Elements were lost, returning to nothing but stones. Waiting for their new owners to take on their mantle. But fear doesn’t go away that easily. --- The Pirate Princess, “The Great Equestrian War” --- Space, an endless darkness, but an endless darkness that wasn’t so dark with its endless sources of light. In this endless abyss, an endless adventure, only limited by one’s imagination, could take place. In which case, a story was taking place right now, starting on a ship that traveled the stars. Traveling the seas of space was a red ship, a large red pirate ship. The markings of the ship had two Alicorn markings on it: one of a pink sister, the other of a blue sister. As the ship moved pasts the stars, it’s sails continued to flap as the non-existent wind continued to push the ship forward. Above the crow’s nest was connected the flag of the ship, the representation of the ship’s crew. It continued to flap in the invisible wind, it held the markings of a unicorn head, she was surrounded by six diamond-like substances. Inside the ship, a lone figure made her way to the bridge. She made sure that she made no sound as she moved, making sure that her wings wouldn’t give herself away. She moved closer as her target soon came into sight. She quickly stopped in her tracks, her rose colored eyes looking over the railing checking on the position of her crewmembers. They were all too busy going about doing their usual chores, they hadn’t taken any notice of her. Finally the Pegasus found her target, it was within her grasp. Licking her lips, the lone figure climbed herself onto the top of the railing. Quietly, she opened her wings and prepared herself. With her hind hooves she took off, her eyes on the prize she licked her lips for the taste of victory. That was until it hit her. “WHAT DID AH TELL Y’ALL ABOUT THIS TREE, RD!!” the stricken Pegasi found herself hitting the ground hard, as another one of her attempts failed again. She laid there on the ground, she was seemingly out cold. “Ah said ‘none of y’all are allowed to go anywhere near this tree!’” the earth pony spoke as she placed a hoof on the still growing apple tree that was plated in the part of the ship that was built for it. “Aw, come on AJ!” the young Pegasi snapped her head back up, unaffected by the imprint of the horse shoe that her crew member placed on her face. “I just want a stinkin’ apple, not like I’m going to eat the whole thing!” she crossed her hooves as she looked at her friend with a scowl. “Ah didn’t say y’all couldn’t have any” the apple bucker sighed. “If y’all are hungry, just take an apple from one of those other trees.” Applejack said pointing off to their side, beside the one young apple tree laid about nine other full grown tree. Each one seemingly glowing, as what ever it was that was feeding them sunlight shined through their leaves. “Y’all just can’t have any from this one, that’s all.” she said, looking back at the young tree. “Aw come on!” Dash growled, “It’s just one apple.” Dash was starting to show the side of her that hated to lose, she reached again for the tree again, only to be swatted away. “No means no Dash!” Applejack spoke up, getting in between the rainbow-mane pony and the center of their subjects. “unless, y’all want to try again” she said with a smirk. “You trying to start something?” Dash glared at the apple bucker. “Try me sugar cube” Applejack returned with her own glare. Both the young mare came closer to one another, one waiting for the other to make the first move. “Will you two please be quiet, I’m trying to read over here.” came another voice from behind the quarreling ponies. “Sorry about that Capt.” the earth pony turned her head back around, her eyes laying onto the back of the captain’s chair, she watched as another book flew to the front of it. “Fine,” the rainbow-mark pony sighed as she crossed her hooves. A large sound echoed through the room as a shade of purple crossed the young mare’s face. “I’m still hungry though.” “I thought it was about time,” came a soft voice from a door from the other side of the room. “so I went ahead and fixed some lunch,” the door slowly opened up as a pink-mane Pegasi walked into the room. “I hope you enjoy it Dash,” Fluttershy smiled as she carried a plate to her blue friend. Rainbow Dash just looked down at her crewmate that made her way over to her. Fluttershy was carrying a plate in her mouth that held a hay sandwich, she tried her best to give the young mare a smile. “um, thanks Fluttershy,” Dash gave the other Pegasus a nervous smile as she took the food and started to eat. The yellow Pegasus just continued to smile. “My what is with all of the noise down here?” the ponies in the room turned back to the source of the new voice as another figure came down the stairs. “Did I hear somepony say something about lunch?” the white unicorn asked as she made her way to the ponies below. “Yeah, Fluttershy here just fixed up some lunch,” the orange earth pony answered as she watched Rarity made her way down to the bridge. “Yes, that sounds good, I do feel a little famished.” Rarity spoke as she made her way to the other. She stopped in her tracks as she took one last glance, and looked over the apple bucker’s being. “Dear, I think I might have the perfect pair of foot wear that may actually go with you assemble.” as she said that, Rarity’s horn started to glow. “Ah told y’all before sugar cube, Ah’m not into that frilly stuff.” AJ sighed, rolling her eyes at the young fashionista. “Oh, come on darling, at least take a look at it first.” the diamond mark pony smirked as a ball of light started to take form in between the two mares. “Ah don’t th-” but the apple marked pony wasn’t able to finish as the flash of light died down. Taking the place of the light, was a pair of boots. The style of the boots reminded her of something that she could of pictured in her cousin Braeburn’s town of Appleloosa. They had a nostalgic feel to them. “Well go on dear, try them on.” Rarity smiled. The apple just shrugged and quickly placed her front hooves into the boots. Applejack took a few moments and quickly looked over her now covered boots. Alternatively she started slamming of hooves down, testing out their durability, they easily passed. “Ah like ‘em Sugar Cube, thanks!” she said giving the fashion pony a smile. “Good, I am glad that you enjoy them” the white unicorn returned the smile. “That will be six hundred ZenBits.” she spoke casually. “Ah should of known,” AJ sighed too herself, “Ah’ll give y’all four hundred ZenBits.” She started to bargained with her crewmate. “Five hundred and sixty ZenBits,” “Four hundred and forty ZenBits,” “Six hundred and twenty ZenBits,” “Four hund- wait a minute,” Applejack shook her head. “Y’all just went up on me!” “Fine,” Rarity rolled her eyes, “Five hundred and fifty ZenBits” “Five hundred ZenBits!” “Deal!” Rarity smiled, cocking her head a little. “Well, okay then.” the apple marked pony nodded as she reached behind into the back of her mane. “Here, six emerillion crystals,” she turned back around to look at her friend, in her mouth were six green crystal-like pieces of minerals. “That sounds about right, thanks darling,” Rarity smiled, her horn started to emit energy as she levitated the crystals from the hat wearing pony. “it’s still four more crystals then what those boots were worth,” she said with a smile as she bit into one of the emerillion crystals to check their authenticity. “Ah should of known,” Applejack sighed in defeat. She took one more look at the pair of overpriced homemade pair of boots she had just brought. It was worth it she decided. “Hey girls, GIRLS!!” all attention in the room was suddenly brought forward. “Look, we’re here.” bouncing around the binnacle was the crew’s most hyperactive crew mate. “We’re here Twilight, we’re here!” Pinkie Pie said pointing at the screen at the front of the bridge. The sound of a book slamming shut echoed through the room. “So that’s where our destination lays.” the captain of the ship spoke, placing the book on the stand to her side. “That is the place where the greatest treasure in the universe lies.” Twilight couldn’t help but let a grin spread across her face. On the screen in front of the pirates showed a planet that they were heading towards. “That’s not all Twilight,” Pinkie Pie turned back around to the computer and looked at the screen. “According to these flashes, there are some really interesting ponies down there.” “Really? How interesting?” Captain Twilight leaned herself back into her seat, “Throw it on the main screen, Pinkie.” “Okie Dokie Loki!” the pink earth smiled as she pressed a button on the screen. Soon the images flashed up on the main screen at the front of the bridge. The reaction of the ponies faces were impossible to decipher; it was like they were surprised, shocked, and on the verge of having tears rolling down their faces. Twilight nearly threw herself out of her seat, her hooves clutching at the stand, trying to keep her balance. It was like she had a twinkle in her eye as she looked at the screen. “That is very interesting Pinkie,” Twilight said, her breathing became heavy as she looked at all the faces of the ponies on the screen. Her blood stated to quickly pump causing her hoof to shake; she quickly learned that her grip wasn’t directly on the stand. Twilight’s eyes lowered down to see what exactly she had her grasp on. Under the young mare’s hoof was a blue box. All sides of the box had the same three color diamonds wrapping around it: a red one, a pink one, and a green diamond. Twilight’s expression softened as she started remembering how she inherited this box. “Don’t worry, I will find the treasure,” she spoke in a serious tone. “Hey Captain!” Twilight’s attention was broken, her eyes traveled upward to the back of her seat. “So, what are we going to do now?” the rainbow-mane Pegasus asked hovering over the unicorn. Twilight thought it over for a moment, a grin spread across her face. “Well that‘s a stupid question Rainbow,” the captain of the ship head snapped back forward, her eyes glued onto the planet ahead. She felt her hoof tightening onto the box that was in her grasp. “Alright Harmony Pirates!!” Twilight exclaimed, her hoof nearly ripped the top off the box’s henges - a bright light had soon started to engulf the bridge of the ship. “Let’s go down there and make some noise!!!” she said with a grin, reaching for the sabre beside her.
