A month later
Alan awoke to the shaking of his bed. When he looked down there was Lyra bouncing away. "WAKE UP!" She said loud and quickly.
"Whaaaaaat? lemme sleeeep." Alan mumbled into his blanket
"Someone's at the door. It's Ash." Lyra said........still bouncing
Alan's head shot up "ASH!?" He quickly got up, knocking Lyra onto the floor. He was running around his room grabbing a shirt, pants, and socks as quick as he could.
"ow" Lyra said unamused
Alan than shot out of the door into the bathroom to brush his hair. After that he ran down stairs to the door, and opened it.
"Sup, dude!" Ash yelled as she gave him a hug
"How are you? You were supposed to be in there another week I thought?" Alan asked
"That was if I didn't want scars. But scars are badass so yeah." Ashley shrugged "So wanna go chill at my place? You'll have to give me a ride though." She asked
Alan then went through the whole picking a ride routine, and settled on the Demon. "Oh, man that choppy idle with the straight pipe sounds so good." Alan said to Ashley
"It sure does. Hey I also have a gift for you when we get there." Ashley said
"Oh really now?" Alan said in a silly tone
"Let's go!" Alan yelled as he revved the car
"WAAAAAIIIIIIT!" Lyra came running in
"Yyyyyyes darling?" Alan said
"Can I come?" Lyra asked
"I suppoooose." Alan said with a fake eye roll
Lyra popped into the back seats of the car "There's not a lot of room back here." She said
"Just sprawl out. I won't go too fast." Alan said keeping the car under 40mph the whole way
Once there the walked inside and Alan turned to Ash "Hey, you have Horizon 4 on here?" Alan asked pointing towards her Xbox one x.
"Yes you can play it." She said seeming to read his mind
"Sweet!" Alan said hopping on the couch and holding the home button down.
"I'll cook something for us" Ashley said as she pulled a frozen pizza out of her freezer
After everyone was done eating and Alan was done having fun with a virtual Dodge Demon they went to the garage
"Alan, follow me" Ashley said walking into the garage "So Dodge, in 2019 unveiled the Dodge Angel. In 202-" Ashley was interrupted
"I remember when they patented the name 'Angel' in 2017, Was it a Demon competitor?" Alan blurted out
"Yes, heheheh it was." Ashley giggled "Anyway, in 2020 the car became available to the public. Whilst I'm not going to tell you the horsepower or model of car used, I will tell you that when you disappeared I had my own Angel made in your memory." Ashley said as she moved her workshop over to unveil a button that caused a door on the other side of the garage to unlock "let's go." Ashley was getting kind of serious
They walked into the room and Lyra and Alan's jaws dropped
There sat a black 2017 Charger with a huge hood scoop and two inlets on the grille, as well as a custom made wide body. "Uuuuhhhhh." Was all Alan could muster
"Alan, I want you to have it." She said as she handed the red key over
"H-h-how mu-ch hors-hor-horsepower?" Alan asked
"1,273 total" she stated
"Ashley I can't take this." Alan said
"Huh?" Ashley was confused
"You put so much money into it." Alan said
"And you saved my life jackass" she retorted as she unlocked it remotely
The car seemed to almost stare Alan down with the red LEDs. "O-ok" he stuttered
"Let's go!" Ashley said "Did I mention that Slipknot released a new song?" Ash said with a wink
As they got in Ash plugged the Aux in and started playing All Out Life by Slipknot. The garage door behind them opened and Alan was reluctant to start it. He was actually nervous. He held the brake and pushed the red start button, the car roared to life
"Holy shit!" Lyra yelled from the back
"Holy shit indeed." Alan stated blankly while watching the dash come to life
He backed out and turned around. Suddenly out of nowhere he got a wicked grin. He gripped the steering wheel until his knuckles were white.
"HehehehehahahaHAHAHAHAHA!" Alan cackled "Y'know for an Angel, it sure makes you feel like a MONSTER?" Alan said loudly
"Uh, Alan you're scaring me." Lyra said
"Buckle up ladies!" Alan said as he punched it. Being on dirt it took a good while to get traction, but once it did it flew.
"WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!" Ashley cheered
They lined up on the paved Tarmac outside Ponyville, and slammed gas. 0-60 in well under 3 seconds. The front wheels lifted up a good 6 inches off the ground.
"HOLY FUCK THIS FEELS GREAT!" Alan screamed
"1,273 horsepower is nuts ain't?" Ashley asked as Alan brought the car to a stop
"HELL TO THE MOTHER FUCKING YES!" Alan said, adrenaline still pumping
20 minutes later
"Alright Alan, time to head back." Ashley said, looking at the fuel gauge almost empty
"Phew, ok." Alan said "But we have to stop somewhere."
Alan stopped at Vinyl's. She must've known it was him by the sound of a monster V8. She was waiting outside
"Sup, Vinyl?" Alan said nonchalantly
"New ride?" Vinyl asked in awe of the car
"Yeah, it's a gift from her." Alan said pointing a thumb at Ash
"It's so nice. What are these wings on the side and on the grille?" Vinyl asked
"The car is called the Dodge Angel, its basically the lovechild of a Hellcat charger and a Dodge Demon." Alan explained
Vinyl looked at him blank faced "oh"
"Yeah we're heading back to my place. Wanna spend the night? Hang out with Lyra and me?" Alan asked
"I can't, Tavi and I had plans. Sorry, wish i could though." She replied
"It's fine. Have a good night." Alan waved her off and put up his window. He did a fat burnout before leaving
