Twilight Sparkle and her friends screamed wildly as they entered into the Book of Ages. As they landed on the ground, they came across the Ancient Land of Ma. They all entered it as they're ready to face it. They witnessed the land was in turmoil as Imperial Court argued with each other while civil war broke out between peasants, rebels, imperials, warriors, nobles, warlords, ministers and even the Emperor.

Virtue Dragon, Blade Dragoon and Warpath Temper prayed and bowed down before the altar as they make a vow of sworn brotherhood. They joined up with various brave and compassion warriors in journeying across the land to help troubled ponies.
Azure Phoenix stood on the Imperial Palace's entrance as he held his sword up high proudly as his Imperial Phoenix Army. His army cheered wildly and proudly. They all went from territory to territory for conquest and control of the land.
Claw Tiger smiled proudly as he led his Tiger Warriors to deal with rebels. As he was dying, Claw Tiger passed the sword to his eldest son, Brave Tiger. Brave Tiger led his warriors in reclaiming Wuhu River for his clan. As he died, he passed to Courage Tiger as the new Leader of Kingdom.

Virtue Dragon helped ponies as well as showing kindness and compassion. His warriors of Western Dragon Kingdom fought bravely and determinedly to defend the innocent.

Chapter 25: The Dragon and The Tiger
"Due to the display of might shown by Dragonspear and Warpath Temper, Virtue Dragon was able to escape to Fishing's Pond Fort," Narrator narrated, "But what will they next? How will they able to repel their enemies now?"
After barely escaping the clutches of Azure Phoenix, Virtue Dragon and his forces have escaped and headed to the Fishing's Pond Fort, which was close to Red Cliff - one of Water Tiger Clan's important territories. Everyone was exhausted and hungry after their narrowly escape from Imperial Phoenix Army. They now helped the Jing Province Ponies to settle down on their new places. And at the same time, the doctors and soldiers were treating the injured and wounded.
Virtue Dragon and his allies were inside the dining hall. While eating their lunches, everyone was silent as they have nothing to say but wonder and concern of their future and the fight against Azure Phoenix and his forces.
"So, how's everyone holding up?" Starlight asked curiously.
Virtue sighed, "Not well, unfortunately. This isn't the first time I have suffered defeats. Azure may think he has the control of dynasty, but as long I'm still breathing and standing, I will continue to fight for the sake of ponies and their future."
Smolder scoffed, "Quite optimistic, isn't he?"
"Well, he is the hero. And heroes never gave up," Sandbar said confidently.
Phobos scoffed in annoyance, "Yeah if we keep on losing to the bad guys. What a pain to my ass!"
"But what can we do?" Applejack asked in concern, "Azure got the heck of a large army and officers. They beaten us a lot of times. There is no way we can push him back, and not to mention, we have to keep the ponies safe."
Saber sighed, "Applejack's right. We're completely outnumbered and outmatched against them, even though we have brave officers like Uncle Blade, Uncle Warpath and Uncle Dragonspear. We don't have the chance."
"I bet the differ," Skysoar answered calmly. Everyone looked oddly at him. He continued while looking at Virtue, "My lord, I planned to go to Wuhu River for asking Courage Tiger's support and reinforcement."
Everyone was shocked and surprised by his proposal. Blade Dragoon hummed in concern, "I do not wish to question your judgment, Master Intellect, can Courage Tiger truly muster enough the courage to fight against Azure Phoenix and his great army?"
"He does have the point," Dragonspear said in concern, "I was told that he's skilled in administration, not on the battlefield. And the only pony, who is capable of having such tremendous courage and bravery against the odd is Brave Tiger. Pity, he died."
Pinkie groaned, "Do you guys always have to be negative?! Seriously, have little leap of faith as Somnambula has said."
"What's a Somnambula?" Warpath asked in confusion.
Skysoar cleared his throat, "If I may, everyone. Though Courage Tiger is young, he possessed great courage and ambition as his older brother. Since the day Brave Tiger laid the foundation at Wuhu River, the Tiger Clan has ruled the south for years. They possessed enough wealth, resources and strengths to fight Azure Phoenix. The Tiger Clan need us as we need them."
"What are you saying?" Ben asked in concern yet suspicious.
"If we can secure the alliance with Tiger Clan and defeat Azure Phoenix, then the warlord will definitely be forced to retreat to Northern Ma," Skysoar said calmly and firmly, "We can proceed of taking over Jing and head to the West, where we can rebuild and grow our forces. Once the we gain the control of West, Azure Phoenix will control on North while Courage Tiger ruled the South. We will divide the land in three. That way, we will have more time, resources and troops enough to defeat him."
"Just like Twilight suspect..." Starlight said in concern.
Applejack nodded, "He's really going to do it."
"No doubt." Ben agreed, "We have to keep an eye on the situation for now."
"Master Skysoar, do you think you can convince Lord Courage to help us?" Virtue asked in concern.
Skysoar smiled calmly, "Rest assure, my lord. I will secure the alliance. I will require Saber, Ben, Starlight, Applejack and Smolder to assist me on this mission. They're perfect to help me achieve our mission."
"What?!" The ones Skysoar has chosen, asked in concern.
While everyone and even Virtue was still doubtful and concern, the lord sighed calmly before looked at Skysoar, "Very well, Skysoar. You have my permission and confidence to get Courage Tiger's alliance. I pray that you will be successful on it."
Skysoar nodded and bowed humbly, "I will not fail, my lord."

"Having defeated his arch-nemesis, Azure Phoenix confidently turned his army to Wuhu River. Sensing Azure Phoenix's intention, Skysoar Intellect went and proposed an alliance to Courage Tiger."
On the next day, Skysoar left the Fishing Pond's Fort and headed off to Wuhu River now, accompanied by Saber, Ben, Starlight, Applejack and Smolder. They used the ship for sailing and travelling from Red Cliff Fortress to Tiger Fury Castle, taking them for a whole or two days. They have arrived at the Tiger Harbor, where the ponies witnessed the beautiful city and its ocean. They were amazed and surprised by the landscape.
Smolder whistled, "This is so cool! Too bad that Sandbar missed this out. He would totally loved it."
"I just hope that our missing friends are there," Applejack said in concern, "If not, then they're in deep trouble. I hate to think bad things happening to them."
"I'm sure they can handle it." Ben said calmly, "They've been through lots of worse place than here."
Starlight nodded, "Yeah. Definitely." She turned and looked at Skysoar and Saber, "Our main problem is getting the help from the Tiger Clan. I just hope everything goes well."
Ben nodded, "Yeah. Guess you're right about that."
The ship reached and landed on the Tiger Harbor. Skysoar and his company climbed down from the ship. They then approached to the harbormaster, who was working and writing down the recording book on the small table. And to Ben and his friends' surprise, they found a harbormaster is somewhat familiar to them especially she's a changeling.
"Hello! Welcome to Wuhu River! Homeland and Small Kingdom of Tiger Clan! We have plenty of residents and inns for you all to stay. And not to mention, we have some special tour landmark for you all to check out - The Tiger Fury Castle, The Monuments of Tigers' Forefathers, the Naval Training Arena, and of course, we have some entertainment and restaurants for you all to enjoy, " The changeling greeted happily.
Smolder gasped, "Ocellus?!
Ocellus looked surprise as she looked up and found Ben and his friends stood before them. She gasped, "Smolder! Professors! You're all alive!" She giggled and cheered happily. She jumped and hugged all of them, "Oh! It's so good to see you all again!"
"Yeah! Good to see you too," Smolder said embarrassingly. She cleared her throat, "Do you mind?"
Ocellus yelped as she departed from hugging her friends. Ben asked, "Glad to see you're alright. Are Yona and Carrie with you?"
"Yes, they are! And boy, you'd love to hear this story especially how we three ended up here," Ocellus said happily.
"Not trying to be rude or something, but we're got the mission to do, you know." Saber said firmly.
Skysoar nodded as he looked at Ocellus, "Indeed. Ocellus, is it?" Ocellus nodded a bit. He continued, "I need you to find LaMaurche and my older brother - Seaheal. Tell them that Skysoar is here for the special appointment now."
Ocellus bowed humbly, "At once, Master Intellect!" She turned away from him. She squealed a bit, "I can't believe it! I actually meeting the legendary and most intelligent strategist from the Dragoon Republic Nation! This is so awesome!"
Ocellus led Ben and his team to the Tiger Fury Castle at once for the important negotiation and mission.

After leading Ben and his team into the Tiger Fury Castle, they searched and met up with both Sam LaMaurche and Skysoar's older brother - Seaheal the older lighter orange-colored unicorn with lighter dark red and yellow streaks of longer mustache and beard worn crimson ministry robe with Tiger patterns and symbols, and even a ministry hat. They're now heading straight to the court chamber now. And at the same time, they're chatting and discussing about their next plans.
"It's so good to see you two. It's been a while," Skysoar said happily.
Seaheal smiled, "So do I. I've always wanted to see and visit you again. I was told that you have the lord to serve, am I right?' Skysoar nodded happily. He sighed, "Pity that you chose this so-called Lord Virtue. From what I have heard, he's known to be a failure warlord, always failing, losing and keep wandering from one place to another. Such a disappointment."
"On the contrary, my dear brother, I do not care. I am happy that I have found a worthy lord for me to serve. As long as I'm still standing and breathing, my lord will emerge victorious and make his dream come true."
"Quite confident, aren't you?"
"I'm always calm and confident, dear brother, no matter how dire the situation. I'm always prepare with my various plans for it."
Sealheal laughed in pleasant, "That's my little brother." He then hugged his little brother, "But either way, I'm so happy that we're able to see and meet again. I miss you so much."
Skysoar smiled and hugged him back, "So am I, my brother."
"I didn't know he has the brother," Applejack said in surprise.
Ben nodded in surprise, "Me too."
"Do they resemble close to each other," Starlight commented.
"Don't any of you ever bother to read the histories especially this era of Three Kingdoms at all?" Ocellus asked in annoyance. Everyone shook their heads uneasily. She sighed, "Honestly... What would you all do without me?"
Smolder groaned, "Quit it, Ocellus."
"Alright, no need to argue and fight over a little matter. We're here now. But before we go in, I must give you some heads up," Sam said calmly. He and his colleagues have stood before the courtroom's entrance door. He turned and looked at them. He continued, "All of you must be humble and serious, and no funny business too. The advisors and military officers will not take it lightly. Speak frankly and do not hold back. Our lord maybe young, but he has shown wisdom beyond his years."
Seaheal nodded, "And the only ponies you need to worry about is the senior advisors. Though they're wise and noble advisors for governing the internal affairs, they're not great fighters. But they do care and concern of ponies. They will not hesitate to mock and insult of what they believe it's right."
Ocellus sighed, "Just like what happen to me, Yona and Carrie. They're extremely suspicious and protective about us because they'd never encounter our kind before except Yona's. They hate yaks a lot. It was good thing that professors defended us and gave us the job to do."
Smolder scoffed, "That is uncool."
"Calm down, Smolder." Starlight said calmly, "Remember, this isn't our time. Therefore, they don't know if yaks and ponies can be friends or not."
Applejack nodded, "That's true. It hasn't happen until Twilight begins her friendship and alliance with other creatures."
"Come, my friends. We must go in now!" Sam said firmly and calmly, "Our meeting is about to start."
Everyone nodded calmly. They all entered the courtroom, where both sides of advisors and military officers including Wiserton, Anchor, Apollo Python, Hammerod, Lady Lian, Scarblade, Thunderbold, Pirate Scythe and Trip. were enjoying their lunches and drinks. Among them are familiar friends that are alive to them. Rarity, worn the dark crimson colored lady ancient robes with Tiger Patterns and worn hairpin on her tied-up hair, was among the Advisors' Side. Rainbow Dash and Sunset Shimmer, worn the crimson military commander armor with Tiger Patterns, were part of the Military Officers'. Yona and Carrie were there as well, the former was with Rainbow's while the latter is with Rarity's.
Smolder gasped, "Yona! Carrie!"
"Smolder!" Yona and Carrie cried happily.
"BEN! STARLIGHT! APPLEJACK!" Rarity, Rainbow and Sunset exclaimed happily.
Ben, Starlight and Applejack gasped, "RARITY! RAINBOW! SUNSET!"
Ben's Team charged and hugged their friends. They all chatted and cheered happily that they're alive now.
"I can't believe it," Rainbow exclaimed happily, "It's so good to see you all here!"
"Same here!" Applejack said happily, "Glad that you're alive and stick with the students. So, do ours."
"Is it true? What happen at Changban Bridge was massacre?" Rarity asked in concern. Ben's Team looked uneasy and worried as they nodded reluctantly. She sighed in concern with sad looks, "History repeats again..."
Sunset sighed, "Not even Twilight could stop him from committing the crime."
"That's not only the worst," Ben said in concern yet angered, "Azure Phoenix broke the deal and tried to kill us. He even relinquish Twilight's authority over the army and politics. The rest of them are now in the Imperial Phoenix Army. There's no telling whether we can stop or save them in time."
Sunset narrowed her eyes firmly, "I see. That's why you came here. Making the alliance?"
"Exactly," Starlight said in agreement, "This is Twilight's plan. If everything goes correctly, we might have the chance to make sure that both sides are friends and focused their attacks on Imperial Phoenix Army to rescue both the Emperor and our friends."
Rainbow smirked, "Sounds like the plan. I've been itching for some payback with that jackass!"
"First thing first, we need to get Courage to agree with the alliance," Rarity said firmly, "The advisors will no doubt to dissuade and discouraged Courage from doing the decisive action to defend his home."
"Not if we or Skysoar can help it," Ben said firmly.
Skysoar was discussing with both Sam and Seaheal about his plans and negotiation in getting Courage to agree the alliance. He took the glance at them. He narrowed his suspicious eyes as if they're up to something. He wanted to make sure and be prepare for whatever plans Twilight's friends have been planning before his arrival and putting his service to Virtue Dragon.
"Announcing the arrival of our Lord of Wuhu River!" The Eunuch announced.
Everyone quickly returned to their seats at once. Skysoar and his team sat on the guest's seats, along with Sam and Seaheal accompanying them. Courage Tiger emerged from behind as he has taken his seat on the chair. He looked and faced to the group.
"Courage Tiger..." Ben said in surprise, "He's been tensed..."
Applejack nodded in concern, "Must be involving of Azure Phoenix's invasion and threat on his turf, no doubt."
Skysoar stood up and bowed humbly, "Greetings, your highness."
Courage remained firm and calm as he asked, "Mr. Intellect, I heard Azure Phoenix has defeated your lord Virtue Dragon at Changban Bridge, am I right?"
Everyone chatted in concern while some laughed amusingly about Virtue Dragon's latest defeat. Rainbow, Rarity and Sunset glared at their allies. Ben's Team was annoyed and frustrated to hear ponies commenting and complaining about their failures.
Skysoar sighed, "The defeat was due to my lord's noble heart, he did not abandon the thousands refugees, who followed our troops and slow down our retreat."
"Either way, how large is Azure Phoenix's army?" Courage asked firmly.
"A ruthless army of 800,000 is invading from both land and water." Skysoar answered firmly, shocking and scaring everyone but his team. He continued, "Azure Phoenix's next target is to conquer Wuhu River." Everyone chatted in concern about the latest matter while Courage remain calm and firm. He continued, "Your highness governs the vast southlands and has many extraordinary gentlemen in the court. If you are determined to oppose Azure Phoenix's invasion, then please prepare for war!"
"My lord! Do not fight!" Wiserton protested firmly, "When your late brother was still alive, he always told me that nothing is more important than the peace for ponies of Wuhu River!
The advisors chatted and nodded in agreement with Wiserton's concerns for ponies. Ben and his friends were in shock and concern by how cowardly Wiserton and the advisors have become. Their attitude and advice annoyed Rarity and her team as well.
Skysoar smirked amusingly, "That's right. Surrender is not a bad. For the cowardly, in fact, the earlier the better. That way, everyone can stop worrying."
"If that is the case, why didn't Virtue Dragon surrender?" Courage asked suspiciously.
"As the ancient sage quotes," Skysoar said firmly and calmly, "Surrendering is not a matter of victory or defeat, but rather one of virtue for either justice or righteous."
Everyone and even his own friends and brother was surprised by his answers.
Skysoar continued, "Azure Phoenix, the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of Qin controlled the Emperor and fabricated His Majesty's commands. If he conquers the South, he will surely usurps the throne. If we surrender to him, then we would be adding the tyrant. Virtue Dragon is the direct descendant from Dragoon Kingdom. Therefore, his family philosophy are about showing wisdom and kindness to the world and respected by ponies. A noble pony as he is would rather fight until the day he died! Therefore, surrender is not an option!"
Everyone was amazed by Skysoar's belief and words for defending his lord's and understanding him a lot. The military officers were amazed and impressed.
Rainbow whistled, "Now that is awesome."
"For a smart pony like him, he's pretty brave and good," Smolder commented.
Yona looked confuse and uncertain, "I'm confuse. Is he talking about winning the fight?"
Carrie yelped, "Yona... Honestly..."
"Alas, unlike someone else I know of," Skysoar said calmly. He smiled slyly while looking at Courage. He taunted, "It is fine for you, my lord to surrender. At least, you will be able to keep your life and possessions. At Azure Phoenix's mercy, he may let you rule the South. So why not?"
Spotting Courage's anger, Saber gulped, "Oh boy! That doesn't look good."
Seaheal gasped, "Skysoar, you fool!"
"Are you crazy, Skysoar?!" Ben asked in shock and concern.
"I thought Phobos got a lousy big mouth," Applejack said in concern.
Starlight hummed, "Or maybe..."
"HOW DARE YOU?!" Courage exclaimed in anger, " Are you saying that I am nothing compare to Virtue Dragon?!"
"No!" Skysoar disagreed, "Your Highness shows an outstanding brilliance, greater than that of most and akin to my lord. You are capable of ruling and administrating the land. That alone is major advantage over Virtue."
Sam: nodded, "My lord, Skysoar has come before you with a plan for fighting Azure Phoenix. It would not be hurt to hear him out."
Seaheal sighed, "Indeed. I have faith in him. He's very good and adapted in battlefield situation."
Though annoyed by Skysoar's insults, Courage sighed as he put his personal feelings aside, "Very well. I'm listening."
"Thank you, your highness. Lord Virtue may have suffered recent defeats, we still have various brave officers and commanding both army and navy of 10,000 soldiers. If we join with the Tiger Clan, the alliance will strengthen us both." Skysoar said confidently and calmly, "Although Azure Phoenix's military outnumber ours, more than half of his troops are captured soldiers and are not entirely loyal to him. They have traveled over 100 miles every day. They're exhausted. Moreover, the Northerners are not used to South's terrain and have no naval experience. Their abrupt invasion is destined to result in failure."
Ocellus hummed thoughtfully of what Skysoar has said. She spoke, "He is right. We have the chance to win this battle."
Courage nodded, "I also have the same thoughts."
Rainbow gasped, "Does that mean-?"
And just before Courage could say anything, Wiserton spoke up, "My lord, please do not fall into Skysoar's traps! We cannot justify the fighting against the Prime Minister of Qin!"
The minister spoke, "Lord Wiserton is right! Our alliance with Virtue Dragon will only justify Azure Phoenix's war!"
Minister #2 nodded, "It is better to take Virtue Dragon captive and turn him over as a gift to Prime Minister!"
"HEY!" Ben's Team exclaimed in anger.
"Are you crazy?!" Rainbow demanded in anger.
"I agree with Commander Dash!" Apollo said firmly, "We shall fight first, than surrender! So that, we can leave Azure Phoenix a bitter taste!"
Scarblade nodded firmly, "I will fight and protect my lord. No matter the cost!"
"As am I," Hammerrod said proudly, "I will not fail my late lord! He entrusted me and my colleagues to defend it. And we will do so, without hesitation and concerns!"
Wiserton gasped, "Bloody Hell! Have you lost your mind?! 100,000 against 800,000?! What kind of war is this?! We will die!"
"Cowards!" Anchor exclaimed in anger, "All of you are shameless cowards especially you, Weaselton!"
"How dare you insult me?!" Wiserton exclaimed in anger, "And it's Wiserton!"
Both advisors and military got into a heated argument of whether they should fight or surrender. Courage remained concern and indecisive of how to respond to Azure Phoenix. And so far, none of them have come to the conclusion.
"Man, that is tense," Rainbow commented.
Applejack nodded, "You've said, Dash. This is not good."
Ben hissed, "At this rate, we'd never gonna make the alliance and repel Azure Phoenix."
Courage was still thinking of the decision. Skysoar approached to him and said, "My lord, I know you have been concealing your abilities. The sword has been hidden away for too long. Now is the time to draw it out."
Courage was touched by Skysoar's wisdom. He smiled and patted the strategist's shoulder. Wiserton gasped, "My lord, this Skysoar Intellect is determined to drag us into trouble!"
"No! We must fight to defend our home!" Hammerrod snapped firmly.
Advisors pleaded and begged Courage not to fight and surrender to Azure Phoenix. The military officers encourage and supported him to fight the tyrant. Their advice and conflict has discouraged and stressed him a lot. This make him to scream and shout in anger and frustration. It shocked the world.
"Enough! I have heard this far too many times!" Courage snapped. He sighed, "Let me think through. I need some time to think. Dismiss!"
Courage turned and walked away from the courtroom for more thinking about his decision. Both advisors and military officers can't help but wonder and hope that he decide of what is best for the Wuhu River.
"That went well..." Sam commented in concern.

Skysoar, Sam, Seaheel, Ben and his friends were standing outside of balcony. They all watched and looked at the beautiful landscape of Wuhu River. They awed in amazement and surprise of looking at it.
"So beautiful..." Starlight commented.
Rarity smiled, "It is, darling. Courage has taken care of his home for a long time after the death of his brother."
"As long we're standing, we're not gonna let anyone come and take it without the fight," Rainbow said firmly.
"Indeed. Wuhu River is really heaven to Earth." Skysoar said calmly before showing concern and disappointing looks, "Unfortunately, Azure Phoenix's regime arriving here, all of its beauty will soon turn to ash."
Seaheal sighed, "Your words has almost persuaded the Lord, little brother."
"So, what's next? It's not like there's someone else, who can agree with us." Saber said in concern.
"There is one." Skysoar said calmly. Everyone looked at him. He smiled, "I need to persuade another person."
Sam gasped: "Riverstrike!"
"Good thinking!" Seaheal said calmly, "Riverstrike is like a brother to our late lord Brave Tiger and the Tiger Clan. He always said that when it comes to internal affair, seek Wiserton. But for foreign affair, seek Riverstrike!"
"Precisely! With his help, he can convince Courage to approve and support the alliance," Skysoar said confidently, "We might have the chance to turn the tide!"
Sam smiled, "Brilliant! He is now encamped at Red Cliff. Let's go and seek him out!"
Skysoar nodded, "Lead the way..."

Two days later...
Sealheal and Sam helped and led Skysoar and his team to Red Cliff, where Riverstrike encamped and trained his army for battles. But he wasn't alone. Anchor, Apollo and Hammerod were there to assist him for training the soldiers.
Riverstrike was observing his soldiers' battle formation and how their progress goes well. Anchor was using his flag for signalling the soldiers to change their positions and strike back at their enemies. Apollo was training his marines for the naval battle formation while Hammerrode was training the soldiers as hard as they can get.
Pirate Scythe a golden-yellow mixed Earth Pony with spiky short dark orange short spiky mane and tail, tied with a crimson sash on his head and his cutie mark is pirate skull with a scythe, was challenging and sparring with Trip the orange Pegasus with magenta-light red streaks of short ponytail mane and tail worn a darker orange scarf-like, his cutie mark is nunchucks. The older dark blue colored Unicorn with red and yellow streaks mane and tail worn the red-brown colored commanding officer's armor. He was overseeing the recruits' training.
Sealheal, Sam and their guests have arrived and entered the camp. They then climbed to the hill, where Riverstrike and Anchor are sitting on the small stools while overseeing the army's naval training progress.
Sealheal nodded to two ponies as he explains, "There he is, Skysoar. That is Riverstrike - Chief Commander of Tiger Clan's Navy."
"Wow, looks....interesting." Rainbow commented in amusement.
"Really; that's the best you could muster?" Applejack asks her friend, raising an eyebrow at that.
"Well, that's the best I can come with thus far."
"So, that is Riverstrike?" Skysoar hummed as he looked at the training arena especially Pirate Scythe and Trip were sparing. "Let us see how he handle with those two recruits."
"Are you going to start a fight?" Ben asks Skysoar in concern.
"No. Just watch, my friend."
Both Pirate Scythe and Trip swung their scythe and nunchuck at each other for few times. Trip swung his nunchuck three times at the Pirate Scythe, who blocked and deflected the attacks. The young recruit jumped and kicked the ruffian off. He then has his nunchuck to grab and begin strangling, which shock the ruffian to hit and struck his elbow on his head for ten times. Pirate Scythe grabbed and thrown Trip to the ground hard before giving him a powerful punch.
Pirate Scythe screams out in fury towards Trip, "Asshole! Are you trying to kill me or something?!"
Trip groaned as he kicked at Pirate's face hard, "What do you think?! You're gonna pay for what you did!"
Pirate Scythe spitted blood out before wipe it off, "I see. You're just a little cry baby, who missed his daddy."
Trip screamed, "I'll kill you, pirate scum!"
Trip jumped and slammed Pirate Scythe to the ground hard. Both of them began punching and kicking at each other violently for few times.
Thunderbold hissed, "Not again!" He came and struggled to push Pirate Scythe and Trip from attacking each other. "Damn it! Will you two stop fighting?! You're making things worse! Stop it now!"
"Not until he's dead." Trip remarks darkly, wanting so much to kill his opponent right now.
Pirate Scythe just snapped in anger, "Over my dead body, asshole!"
Pirate Scythe and Trip screamed in anger as they continued attacking at each other wildly and angrily. Thunderbold struggled to get them to stop from fighting. And at the same time, the soldiers surrounded and cheered for them to fight.
Sam sighed, "Not again."
Seaheal shakes his head in disgust as he agrees, "When those two ever gonna stop?"
"So what's the problem with him?" Applejack asks her group in bewilderment. She is pondering why Trip wanting so much to kill Pirate Scythe so badly.
"Yak puzzled by this." Yona mumbled a bit in worry.
Rainbow sighed, "Trip still go the issue with Pirate Scythe because that guy killed his dad."
Rarity nodded as she explains, "Indeed. It happens when the small village was invaded and attacked by Admiral Cai. Pirate Scythe was one of Jing Province Officers. They have managed to repel the invaders and even captured Pirate Scythe as prisoner, but they lost Trip's father."
Sunset groans out, "Trip never forgives or forget what Pirate Scythe has done to his father until he gets his vengeance."
"Yeah, like somepony we know." Ben remarks dryly, recalling Azure Phoenix and his own daddy issues.
"Just shows how misguided we are when we get pissed off." Carrie comments. "Uh, pardon the language, Vice Head Stallion Ben."
"Language pardoned, Carrie."
Pirate Scythe and Trip continued battling with each other while Thunderbold struggled to get them under control. The soldiers continued cheering for the fight. Suddenly, someone magically teleported before them. He glared at his soldiers, causing them to dispersed from the fight and bowed humbly to him.
Riverstrike screams out in disgust, "Trip! Pirate Scythe! You two were supposed to spar, not kill each other!"
Pirate Scythe bowed as he apologizes, "Sorry, boss."
Trip groaned, "Why shouldn't I?! This pirate kill my father! I would never ever forgive him for that or even partner with him either!"
"I knew it. You're still a kid!"
"Well, this kid is gonna kick your ass!"
Pirate Scythe scoffed, "Ooh! I'm shaking in my boots!"
"You should be!" Trip snarled furiously. For a moment, it looks like he's going to attack him again.
"Both of you, that is enough!" Riverstrike snapped out. Pirate Scythe and Trip stopped their fight. He sighed, "I understand your anger and frustration, but you must remember this, Trip. It's only natural for him to fight and kill the soldiers including your father when we were enemies. However, he does not kill innocent, which he refused to follow Admiral Cai's order."
"So what?"
"Our lord has granted and allowed him to be in because for him saving the villagers from being harmed. He is our friend and ally."
Trip just scoffs at this, "I wouldn't want to make friend with him. Our lord should have killed him."
Pirate Scythe scoffed right back, "Too afraid to fight, no doubt."
"Son of a bitch!"
"I said 'enough'!" Riverstrike snapped with a deep frown. It looks like Trip and Pirate Scythe aren't listening to reason. Time to get tougher, "Seems you won't listen to reason, so you will listen to this warning. If you two continued fighting, I will suspend you from continuing your military career! This is not the debate! This is an order. Understand?!"
Pirate Scythe and Trip groaned, "Yes, sir."
"I trust that you two will make sure that they followed the order?"
Thunderbold bowed humbly, "Leave it to me, my lord!"
Hammerrod nodded as he confirms, "We will make sure that they won't cause the problems."
Riverstrike nodded while continuing, "Good." He noticed Sam and Sealheal arrived to the scene. "Ah, my friends, welcome to the training grounds." He then noticed Ben's Team, "It seems you have the special reunion, Commander Dash, Lady Rarity, Captain Sunset, Harbormaster Ocellus, Lieutenant Yona and Lady Carrie."
"Wait, you're an lieutenant?" Smolder ask Yona in amusement. "Some of the other students would be jealous of that promotion."
Yona stood in attention, smiling as she exclaims, "Yak approves!"
Riverstrike glances at Skysoar as he continues, "And this is-?"
Sealheal spoke as he motions to his brother, "My younger brother - Skysoar, Chief Commander."
"An honor to make an acquaintance with you, Skysoar."
Skysoar bowed to Riverstrike in respect, speaking, "The honor is mine."
"Come, let us have some drinks." Riverstrike insists as he led the group to where they could talk and get some drinks. Much better than around here anyway!
Riverstrike have his generals and guests to move and enter the camp. They all have wines and tea to drink while chatting. Riverstrike was sitting on his commander's table, along with Skysoar and his allies sitting on right side. Sealheal and Sam were there with him as well.
Sam nodded as he explains the mission, "As you must know, my lord, he has come to make proposal for alliance."
"I'm not interested of politics." Riverstrike spoke suddenly Everyone was in shock and surprise. "In fact, I would like to hear some music. No. Perhaps, I would like to play zither. I haven't done if for quite some time. Would you like to join in?"
"My lord?!"
"Are you kidding me?!" Rainbow yells out in disbelief at this.
"With all due respect, darling, we got a major situation at hoof here." Rarity said in annoyance to Riverstrike. "We don't have time for these games."
"Right, the sooner we get this done, the sooner we get Twilight and the others back!" Ben exclaims in agreement. He can't believe Riverstrike would rather not talk about this.
"Right, at least..." Ocellus begins to speak but a certain pony interrupts her before she could say anything else.
That pony was Skysoar who smiled as he spoke, "Very well. I accept it."
"Skysoar," Ben yelps in disbelief.
"Skysoar, this is ridiculous!" Rainbow protests to Skysoar in disbelief. "Ponies and future lives are stake and you wanna mess around?! Even I would've known better!"
"Right, even us Dragons aren't that reckless!" Smolder remarked in agreement. She paused to think before adding, "Well, we are but still NOT that reckless."
"Are you out of your mind?" Carrie asks Skysoar with a deep frown on her face. "My aunt...."
Skysoar smiled as he cut Carrie off before turning to Ben to speak, "Do not concern yourself, Ben. One small thing can make difference. Just like how you did with Queen Novo and her Hippogriffs."
"Gah!, Rarity yelps in shock and alarm. "How did...."
"You got future sight or something?" Applejack ask Skysoar in bewilderment.
"Okay, I don't know if I should feel surprised or freaked out by this." Ocellus spoke to her fellow classmates in worry.
"How about both," Sandbar suggests to the Changeling in disbelief.
"How did you even know?" Starlight ask Skysoar a bit disturbed.
Instead of answering, Skysoar cleared his throat as he spoke, "I must warn you. I might be rusty with playing zither."
Riverstrike shook his head as he spoke, "Calm down, Skysoar. This is merely for entertainment." The servants have brought and placed down the zithers for both himself and Skysoar. "Are you ready?"
"I am."
"Let us begin."
Both Riverstrike and Skysoar began playing the zither gently and harmonically. They played from one to another, which often played gentle before hard andstrike as lightning.
Most of Tiger Clan Officers were entertained and happy to hear the music. Ben's and Rainbow's Team were worried and uneasy due to them worried about unable to make the alliance between Virtue Dragon's and Tiger Clan's.
"We're wasting time!" Rainbow snapped impatiently. While these two buffoons are playing, more ponies are being killed or worst!
Starlight sighed, "But what can we do? Skysoar said he knows what he's doing."
"Whatever it is, better hope it's quick one." Applejack comments to her friends.
"Relax. I think Skysoar knows what he's doing here." Ben said, though impatient and annoyed like some of the group.
"What ponies doing?" Yona ask a bit puzzled.
Carrie and Ocellus listened carefully to Riverstrike and Skysoar's music. They noticed something off about music notes. It's more than just entertaining. Their eyes widened in shock and surprise.
Ocellus was the first to figure it out, "I know this tone. It's Morse Code."
Carrie nodded as she explains, "Yeah. They purposely play the zithers for communication."
"So wait. Why not say something?" Yona ask Carrie puzzled. "Ponies worried?"
"In case of enemy spies I guess."
"What did they say?" Ben asks Carrie and Occellus curiously. They got to know what the two are secretly saying if they wanted to keep a conversation a big secret from spies.
Ocellus hummed while listen to music carefully, "Riverstrke said that he knows why Skysoar is here for. And asked what is he hoping to achieve. Skysoar replied that he merely asked for help to assist his lord to repel Azure Phoenix and defend their homes. Riverstrike asked that if he said 'no'. Skysoar replied that 'he, his family and friends will lose everything again', and this time, death. Riverstrike said that he will not fail. Skysoar threatened him that he will if he doesn't do anything to help Courage to stand up for his ponies. Riverstrike replied that he will be there for him, and he will fight for his home. He is not afraid of anything because he knows the terrain and navy very well. Skysoar said 'he's aware of it and glad to have him on his side'. They both reply..."
Riverstrike and Skysoar ended the last music note. They faced at each other while remaining firm and calm: I'd be honor to work with you.
"T-Then, that mean-!" Sam said, slowly realizing what the answer is going to mean.
Sealheal smiled, responding, "Riverstrike will help and convince our lord to fight!"
Tiger Clan's Officers cheered and stomped happily and wildly to hear the news.
"Yeah, all right; I knew it all right!" Smolder exclaims with a laugh as she pumps a fist into the air.
"Yeah, sure, sure," Carrie said with a light chuckle, while shaking her head.
Skysoar sighs as he spoke to Riverstrike in a playful mood, "Thank you for the music. It's a good thing that I met you."
Riverstrike smiled as he answers, "The honor is mine. I look forward that we work together. Do not worry. I have one creature that can help me achieve it."
"Uh, what creature are they on about?" Sandbar asks puzzled while scratching his mane.
"Is there something else we should know about?" Starlight ask Riverstrike puzzled. What creature could help in the task?
Riverstrike motions to a certain yak as he explains, "Yona!"
"What," Yona yelps, surprised and bewildered like the future time travellers are, "But Yona not good with ruling or talking or negotiating! Yona likes fighting and smashing!"
"And playing big horn and smelling." Sandbar jokes a bit, though this causes Yona to punch him playfully, "Just kidding!"
"Yona knows."
"Do not worry, Yona. I've got the plan." RIverstrike assures the yak as he patted her on the back. The pony got a plan for Yona to help.
Skysoar smiled speaking gently, "I told you not to worry."

On the next day, Ben's Team woke up in the early morning. They decided to take an early walk or checking around the area.
Skysoar was outside of balcony to watch the beautiful landscape of cities. Applejack was having her breakfast. Smolder was flying around while firing her Dragon Flames. Ben, Starlight and Saber were walking around the hallway. They decided to do some training.
"So, you'd think that Riverstrike can get Courage to help us out?" Ben asks Saber hopefully.
Saber responds, "I certainly hope so. If not, then we'd be dead."
Starlight groaned, "Great. Any bad news you want to add in."
"Not that I know of, other than Twilight got imprisoned back at Xuchang Province."
"We got to get her out of there." Ben said to Saber seriously. "She is my mate, and I will fight any who will keep me from her."
"He's right." Starlight said with a confirmed nod. "He will fight a whole army to do so."
"Don't worry, Ben. We'll get her back." Saber said to Ben in assurement....even though that in reality, Virtue Dragon and Skysoar told him to lie just to give him false hopes and delay any rescue hopes. He really hates their wrongful suspicions.
"I hope so." Ben sighs. Of course, he didn't notice Saber giving out a look of guilt of what he just did.
Saber sighed and muttered, "Sorry, Ben for lying..."
"Wow! Check this out!" Starlight gasps as she saw something upon coming closer to the training hall.
Ben, Saber and Starlight have arrived and entered the training hall, where they found Rainbow and Aqua were training firmly and fiercely. Both of them swung their weapons at each other hard, but they also dodged and evaded the attacks swiftly and quickly for few rounds.
Both of them continued battling with each other for few rounds until they clashed for the moment. They backed off at once before thrust their spear and Tiger Claws at each other's faces. Ben and his friends were in shock and surprise of what they just saw.
Both Rainbow and Aqua remained glaring while aiming their weapons at each other for the moment. They then smiled a bit before lowered down their weapons. They laughed and panted happily.
Rainbow laughs as she slaps Aqua on the back, "Nice work, kid. You're getting better."
Aqua with a smile nodded as she responds, "Thanks, coach. I've got best teacher in you for helping me out."
"What are friends for," Rainbow then noticed her friends entering the training hall. She spoke out, "Hey, guys!"
"Who are you?"
"Right; I'm new here, your highness." Saber said, realizing that Aqua has not yet met him, "I'm Saber Dragoon - Son of Virtue Dragon."
"Huh? I didn't know he has the son." Aqua said in surprise yet a bit suspicion.
"He doesn't, Aqua. I'm his adopted son."
"Really? I'm kinda adopted daughter to Claw Tiger. It's kinda coincidence, right?"
Saber just chuckles at that, "Yeah, no kidding. And you know, I'm kinda surprise that someone like you enjoy fighting than shopping, dressing, playing music or painting."
Aqua scoffed, "Not really. Those things are my sister's thing, even though she's a great warrior as my brother. I'm nowhere close to them."
Saber smiled, responding back, "You're kidding me? You're fierce and strong as your family especially you're a tiger."
"Really. Did you mean that?"
"Yeah, I do." Saber then blushed a bit as he continues, "And you're kinda beautiful and smart as your sister too."
Aqua blushed as well, speaking, "Thanks for the compliment, Saber. And you know. You're the first stallion ever said nice thing to me, unlike that jerky Blazefist."
"Blazefist? You fought him?"
"Fought? Nope! Work with him? Unbearable and annoying! He's terrible and jackass jerk I ever met! His boss is the reason why my friends got split up. I blamed them for that mess."
Saber nodded, responding, "True. And I have to be honest with you. When I first met and fought him, we're not just enemies, but also rivals to the core. Even though we're on opposite forces, we enjoyed fighting with each other. Believe it or not, I kinda like it. And I can't wait to fight and beat him!"
Aqua whistles in amazement, "Wow. You don't say. I would like to face him too. Teach him a lesson for messing with my family!"
"Yeah. I would like to teach him for hurting my friends too."
"Great minds think alike."
"More like we're best friends," Saber said with a smile. Of course, he has no idea that Aqua and Blazefist will be married later in the future....too bad they're enemies now.
Aqua pause to think as she, with a smirk, spoke, "Best friends? I like it."
"Me too."
"Ugh." Rainbow said, shaking her head as she turns to Ben's group. "Too bad Aqua and Saber has no idea how wrong they are on Blazefist."
"To be honest, Azure was a bastard for allowing Blazefist to think that way." Ben said with a sad sigh, shaking his head. "One way, Aqua will see Blazefist as her soul mate."
"Yeah....like Romeo and Juliet." Starlight mumbles a bit in sadness and concern.

Courage was alone in his chamber. He was looking at the portraits of both his father and older brother. He even looked at his own sword, wondering of what he can do for the benefit of his home. All he ever wanted is peace and protection for his home. What can he do?
Tigress and Lian entered the chamber.
Tigress spoke, noticing his worried look, "Brother? Are you alright?"
Courage sighed, "Sorry, Tigress. I didn't mean to make you worry. I'm still uncertain of what I can do."
"Courage, we can do this. We can't let Azure Phoenix do what he wants! We can't let him take our home, without the fight. Our brother reclaimed and saved our land for us. Don't let his legacy destroyed."
"I know."
"Then, do what Brave does." Tigress said calmly to Courage who just shakes his head.
Courage groans out, "I'm not Brave Tiger."
Lian pauses and spoke out, "You're right. You're not Brave Tiger. You're still Courage Tiger, who wants what is best for your home. That's what makes you a good leader as your brother. Everyone has their own ways to lead. Brave is good at military but you're good at administration and leadership."
"Really?"
"Yes. No matter what decision, I will stand by your side."
Tigress smiles as she added, "As long it's fighting Azure Phoenix."
Courage annoyed snaps, "Really?"
Riverstrike entered the chamber to speak, "My lord. May I talk with you? I might have the answer that can help you."
"Really? How?"
"Follow me."
Courage, his sister and handmaiden followed Riverstrike to the garden. They found piles of broken and old wardrobes and furniture. Rarity, Ocellus and Carrie were there. It shocked him and the group.
"What is this?" Courage demands in concern and suspicion.
Yona arrives as she explains proudly to Courage, "Yona is gonna help Tiger Pony to stop worrying about the problem."
"Right, with us on the case, you shouldn't have to worry about a thing, darling." Rarity comments to Courage happily.
"Right, you will need all the help and courage you will need....because that is your name, Courage." Carrie said to Courage with a light smile on her face.
"How," Courage asks the group puzzled. How will they help him?
Yona smirked as she explains, "Like this!"
Yona roared as she smashed and broken the wardrobe to pieces, which confuse Courage, his sister and handmaiden.
"You should join the fun, my lord." Riverstrike laughs to Courage eagerly. This smashing stuff could help him out!
"How is smashing stuff even working?" Tigress ask Lian in bewilderment.
"Is this some sort of test or something?" Lian ask, bewildered as Tigress is.
Ocellus with a smirk explains, "The way to get rid of your stress."
"Trust us. It will be great." Carrie insists, motioning the pony to the stuff to smash.
Courage was uncertain yet willing to try. He and Yona began smashing and destroying the furniture wildly and crazily.
"I am not into this kinda barbarian behaviour....but if it helps in giving you help on your problem, I say go for it." Rarity said to Courage with a smile, encouraging him to do this in light of her fashionata ways.
"Right, keep on smashing!" Ocellus giggles eagerly.
Lian scratches her own mane, speaking, "I still don't understand."
"How is this gonna help us get him to make decision?" Tigress asks Riverstrike and the group, still bewildered.
"Watch and learn." Riverstrike then turns his attention to Courage as he continues the encouragement, "My lord, there is no reason for you to fear on Azure Phoenix. We can overcome and repel him and his invasion."
"Really; how," Courage asks. Suddenly he is truly getting into this!
"Azure has made fatal mistakes. First, Dragon Desert Army pose a threat to Imperial Phoenix Army. They could strike anytime. Second, his soldiers are not very experienced with naval warfare. Third, the winter is coming and therefore, the soldiers will not have warm food and their supplies will disrupted. And lastly, they're not used to our climate and terrain, which may cause them to get ill."
"So, this may be our only chance to win?!"
Riverstrike nodded as he continues, "Yes. But we need you, Courage. We need your confidence and decisiveness to lead the army. You must overcome your fear!"
"How can I?! I'm not my brother." Courage spoke, losing his confidence slowly.
"You are not. You are Courage Tiger - an administrated leader, who trusted his advisors and military officers to do whatever it takes to do what is best for home. And you have made right decision to trust me."
"You are right."
"Then, let me ask you this. Are you willing to fight for our home? Are you going to dishonour your family?! Are you willing to let your brother down again?!" Riverstrike spoke out. What he's saying is really riling Courage Tiger up big time.
Courage as he raised his sword up and readied to strike screams out, "NEVER!"
STRUCK! The table got cut in two. Everyone in the court was in shock and surprise of what they just saw. Courage looked up and glared at them.
Courage spoke out in determination, "I have made my decision! Anyone, who suggest surrender, will shall the same fate as this table! Or perhaps, face the wrath of my friend Yona!"
"You heard Tiger Pony! No more surrender!" Yona exclaims, excited that Courage is doing what he must.
Military Officers smiled and cheered wildly and happily while Advisors were in shock and scared of what they just saw.
Courage begins giving out the orders, "Riverstrike will be Chief Commander of our army! Apollo Python as his Second-in-Command, Rainbow Dash as his Third-in-Command, Sam LaMaurche and Sunset Shimmer as his Chief Military Advisor, Wiserton as Chief Supply Officer, Rarity, Ocellus and Carrie as his deputies! "
The chosen officers spoke and bowed humbly, "Lord!"
"You all will lead 50,000 soldiers and travel to Fishing's Pond Fort to ally and work together with Virtue Dragon's force. Your mission is to repel and defeat Azure Phoenix and his invasion!"
"Understood," All exclaims with a bow.
Wiserton in disbelief spoke up, "You trusted me, even though I suggested you to surrender?"
"Of course, you're my advisor. I trusted you. You do what is important to our home. And I couldn't have asked anyone better to handle logistic, supplies and armory for our army." Courage explains to Wiserton, calmly yet still determined to fight.
"My lord... Thank you. I will do my best."
Courage sighed, "I wish you all luck! The fate of Wuhu Rive rests in your hooves!"
"My lord," All exclaims once more.
"Oh yeah, looks like everything's doing awesome," Rainbow exclaims, pumping up her hoof into the air.
"Yeah, you did great, Ocellus." Carrie said to Yona with a giggle.
"Stop it. You make yak blush." Yona said, blushing at the comment given to her.
Skysoar with a smile spoke out, "Mission Accomplished."
"Yeah, just hope doesn't else go to Tartarus." Applejack said seriously. As long as nothing else goes wrong, this will be a cinch.
"As long as the enemy is repelled, Azure doesn't got a chance in Hell." Ben said seriously as he checks his reflection in his own sword. "Twilight, someday, we will get you, Nyx, Spike, and the others back...."

At the home of Riverstrike, the Grand Commander stretched his hooves out while yawning out loud. He felt sleepy and tired. He has to be ready for tomorrow, meeting up with Virtue Dragon and his generals, hoping they're ready for the great battles. Suddenly, someone approached to him from behind. She was giving him a warm hug. He turned and looked at the Octavia Doppelganger with streaks of light orange, yellow and red mane and tail who worn a white Chinese Noble Woman Dress. They both gave each other a deep passionate kiss. They then departed as they laughed happily.
"How's the meeting?" Riverstrike's Wife asked happily.
"It is fine, my beloved Songbird," Riverstrike said happily and calmly, "How is your sister? Is she doing fine?"
"She is. I'll always keep on visiting and checking her, making sure she's alright and doesn't do something stupid again." Songbird said calmly. She sighed, "Talia missed Brave so much. I know I would feel the same..."
Riverstrike smiled as he patted his wife's shoulder, "Do not worry yourself, Songbird. I'll be fine. I'll make my way back home. I promise you that."
"Just promised me that you come back alive?"

Songbird nodded happily. Riverstrike helped and got his wife on him as he headed to his bedroom for them to sleep peacefully.

On the next two days have passed, Riverstrike and his military officers have arrived at the Fishing Pond's Fort, with the company of Skysoar and Ben's Team. They all marched into the fortress, where they witnessed Virtue Dragon's Forces and their activities.
Dragonspear was armed and trained with his spear at the targets. Rogue and Twinkle Star were sparring and training together through sword fighting, though they often flattered at each other while blushed in red. Blade Dragoon was teaching the children about poetry, accompany by Bullock and Hook, who were bored and sleeping throughout the lessons. Master Cooler was studying on Art of War books while administrating the fortress. Warpath was busy drinking his wine while working and sharpening his friends' and soldiers' weapons, though he often lost his temper and screamed at them for disturbing him. Riverstrike was impressed to see how strong and determined the officers are as he understand why Skysoar's confident with his lord and forces very much.
Skysoar guided and led Riverstrike and his officers to the administrative office, where they meet Virtue Dragon himself. Surprise to Riverstrike and his officers, they have found Virtue Dragon was busy weaving and making shoes and slippers, with straws. Lady Marvel was looking after Baby Kindy, who giggled and babbling happy. Pinkie and Phobos were there to keep an eye on the baby as well.
Lady Marvel noticed Skysoar and his guests entered the chamber. She gasped, "My lord, welcome back!" She approached and gave him a deep passionate kiss, which he returned it to her as well. She smiled while looking at Riverstrike and his officers, "I assumed that your missions is a success?"
"It is, Marvel," Skysoar said in gentle tone. He then approached Virtue Dragon and spoke, "My lord, they're here."
"Oh! Welcome back, Master Skysoar! I hope it's a success," Virtue Dragon was surprised as he got up and turned to his back. He smiled and bowed humbly, "Welcome, friends from Tiger Clan. My name is Virtue Dragon. It is an honor to meet you all."
Skysoar cleared his throat and continued the introduction of Riverstrike and his officers, "This is Grand Commander Riverstrike, his Second-in-Command Apollo Python, Military Advisors Sam LaMarche, Veteran General Anchor, General Hammerrod, Colonel Thunderbold, Lieutenant Pirate Scythe and Trip. I believed you know Ben's old friends."
"Greetings, Lord Virtue Dragon!" Tiger Clan greeted firmly.
Virtue Dragon smiled, "Thank you for accepting the alliance and sending aid to us. We're honored."
Riverstrike nodded, "The honor is mine, Virtue. After all, alliance is friendship."
"I agreed," Virtue Dragon said in relief. He turned and looked at Rainbow's Team, "I'm glad you're alright and safe. I would never forgive myself for what happen!"
"Me too," Warpath exclaimed happily as he gave Rainbow and her team a big hug while crying, "Please forgive me!"
Rainbow grunted in pain, "Okay! Easy! We forgive you!"
Rarity hissed, "Please, let us go, you're crushing us!"
Warpath nodded happily as he let got of Rainbow and her team while smiling happily, "Sorry."
"My lord, how many troops did you bring here to fight the enemies?" Virtue Dragon asked.
Riverstrike answered, "30,000."
"30,000?" Virtue Dragon asked in concern and shock. He looked at Skysoar, who nodded in confirmation. He sighed, "I feared it maybe not enough to fight and repel the Imperial Phoenix Army. It's too few."
"A few?!" Apollo asked in shock and annoyance, "With all due respect, Tiger Clan have reclaimed the Land of Wuhu River, with few numbers while your army have been defeated for multiple times. Having big army does not help you gain victory!"
"Oh yeah?! What battles did you win after getting your land back?!" Warpath asked angrily, "Otherwise, the only joker around here is you and your lord! And not to mention, having two hated bloody monsters here is unacceptable!"
Tiger Clan and even Virtue Dragon gasped in shock by Warpath's racism attitude towards Yona and Ocellus, who were offended and hurt by his words. Rarity approached and patted them in comfort.
"I beg your pardon, moron!" Apollo demanded in fury, "No one allow to insult the friends of Commander Rainbow Dash and our lord! Insults will not be accepted! You and your soldiers are nothing but defeated army."
"So what?!" Warpath shouted in anger, "Better to be loser than being a chicken like you!"
"What was that?!" Apollo demanded in anger.
Anchor groaned as he pushed Warpath off, "You'll pay for the insults!"
"Make me!" Warpath exclaimed in anger.
Three generals began to shout and fight with each other wildly and angrily, making their own allies struggled to stop and end the fight before it gets worse. Virtue Dragon, Riverstrike, Skysoar and even Ben and his friends were annoyed by it.
"Warpath, enough!" Virtue Dragon commanded firmly. Everyone stopped the fight and argument as they looked at him. He sighed, "We're making alliance, not enemies. Otherwise, we will not have the chance to win this fight."
Skysoar nodded, "My lord is right. Riverstrike, what is your opinion?"
Riverstrike was looking at the strawed shoes, "I'm surprised that you're still weaving the shoes, despite you being a lord."
Virtue Dragon sighed while blushed in red, "Yes, pardon of my old habits. Since we have traveled to many places, we need shoes to cover our hooves. Whenever they torn out, I weaved new ones for everyone."
Virtue Dragon's Forces nodded in agreement. Riverstrike hummed curiously as he approached and tested how strong the shoe is, "It's quite strong." Everyone was curious and confused by Riverstrike's doing. He then tested a single straw, which break into two, "To think that such weak strand of grass could become so strong after you weaved them together."
Everyone was still confuse and uncertain by Riverstrike's words. He took couple more of grass strands while facing to the group.
Riverstrike continued while showing and tried to break couple strands of grasses to pieces, but they're too hard, "Twilight once told me about her friendship philosophy and bonds - friendship isn't always easy, but there's no doubt, it's worth fighting for. I believed I know what she was talking about. If we can stand and fight as one, then we have the chance to overcome the odds and protect home. After all, friendship is magic. She's right."
“Right; she said it right when waiting a weird yet dangerous foe.” Rainbow said, recalling how Discord used to be bad.
“No comment.” Rarity said quickly.
"Are we prepared for war?" Riverstrike asked.
Virtue Dragon turned and looked at his soldiers, who nodded firmly. He smiled, "We are."

During their voyage to Red Cliff, Imperial Phoenix Army used the battleships and boats to travel and sail through the river. At the Imperial Phoenix's Main Battleship, Azure Phoenix and his Imperial Phoenix Officers which included Strikespell, Fluteheart, Navy Arrow, Bullhound, Bladestrike, Axen, Clawdestroyer, Blazefist, Laxtinct, Snaptrap, Woren and Fluttershy's friends were discussing and chatting about the latest updates from Courage Tiger's accepting surrender or not. He has left Anger, Ratio, Armorhide and Strict Stalker behind to lead and protect the Northern Part of Jing Province.
After receiving the latest message, Azure Phoenix remained calm and firm as he wasn't surprise and disappointed, "So, they decide to resist?" He scoffed, "They have made a great error."
"Perhaps and perhaps not. We must not underestimate the enemies. I sense they will be a great threat to our army," Snaptrap said calmly.
Woren nodded, "I agreed. We must be weary of them and their strategy, They're not Cruez, Devil Destroyer or even Noble Guild."
Azure Phoenix hummed calmly, "Who will be the command of the Alliance Army, I wonder?"
Admiral Cai cleared his throat, "My lord, if I may. I suspect it's Riverstrike."
"Riverstrike?" Navy Arrow asked in surprise, "Wasn't he supposed to be a handsome guy loved playing music? He doesn't sounds like the guy, who can handle the military affair."
"Yeah, why we worry?" Laxtinct asked.
"Do not underestimate him, General Arrow and Major Laxtinct," Admiral Cai said firmly, "He may have been talented musician, but he's great commander in naval battles. I know it well because I have faced him countless times during my previous lord's time. I have lost to him. Be weary of him."
"And may I need to remind you again?" Blazefist said in concern, "We also need to be careful with Virtue Dragon's strategists - Master Cooler and Skysoar Intellect. They have bested us thrice."
Axen nodded in concern, "Master Blazefist's right about the strategists. We also should be concern with their brave generals. They feared no death."
"Then, we will have to hit them very hard," Bladestrike said firmly, "No matter the cost. We will subjugate them to our submission. Order will be restored."
"Good. That's the spirit, Bladestrike," Azure Phoenix commented proudly, "Regardless of their brave and intelligent officers, they're still outmatched against us. We have the advantages."
"And also disadvantages, father," Strikespell said firmly. Everyone looked at him. He then held sickly Fluteheart before moved her to sit down for Fluttershy to check on her and gave her the medicine. He continued, "Our soldiers are not familiar with naval battles, and they're getting seasickness lately. We'll be defeated when we get into the battle against the enemies. It would be wise that we find the land for rest and training. My wife suffered the sickness."
"The young master is right," Bullhound agreed before groaned sickly, "I don't feel so good."
Clawdestroyer sighed, "Since our target is Red Cliff, we need a land now before our army's numbers dwindled."
"I supposed you're right," Azure Phoenix said firmly and calmly. He turned to Admiral Cai, "I trust you that you will handle the naval training and the solution of soldiers' seasickness?"
"It will be done, my lord," Admiral Cai said firmly, "I will find the solution to this problem."
Fluttershy and her group moved to the throne chair, where Nyx and Spike were still held inside the cage. They have some discussion about their next plans.
"It's a good thing that you didn't tell them about your 'trick'," Gallus whispered.
Silverstream nodded, "Yeah. The last thing we want is them to become Seaponies and win the war so easily."
"Keep it to yourself," Fluttershy said calmly, "Twilight said that no one and not even Hippogriffs have ever discovered the Pearl of Transformation. It was discovered by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna when they tried to help Hippogriffs find their new home while avoiding creatures' racism against them."
Spike grunted, "Like that's gonna be easy."
Nyx nodded, "Yeah. Azure's has already tightened the leash on us because he thinks we have the ideas about winning the war. And for the record, he's gonna lose this fight, no matter what advice we give to him."
"I hope you have the advice," Azure Phoenix said firmly, scaring the group off. He continued, "Something better than your mother's advice of making peace with them. I will not halted for the sake of that."
Nyx shook her head, "Nothing, sir. Nothing at all."
“Right, we got nothing to hide.” Silverstream added with a weak smile.
"Hmm... Very well," Azure Phoenix said calmly. He turned to Woren, "Master Woren, I need you to find out more of SIlverstream's jewel. I believed it has the key of winning the war. Starlight and Sunset's information claimed that she transformed into a sea creature. Find out of how it works."
Woren nodded, "Will do."
Azure Phoenix turned and looked at the Wuhu River map. He pointed at Red Cliff's Fort, "Since that's Red Cliff, its north will be perfect land for our camping and training the naval battles. We will defeat both of our enemies, and end the war for good. There will be no failures."
Imperial Phoenix Army bowed humbly, "My lord!"

Both the forces of Virtue Dragon's and Tiger Clan have gathered at Red Cliff Fort. They're preparing to face off against Azure Phoenix on the naval battles. They will soon joined by Courage Tiger, Tigress, Aqua and Scarblade.
"Lord Courage, Lady Tigress and Aqua, It's good to see you again," Virtue Dragon greeted happily and calmly.
Courage smiled, "The honor is mine. I am honored that we're working together again. Let us hope that we can defeat Azure Phoenix and defend our home."
Virtue Dragon nodded, "I'm sure we can. As long our armies work together as one, we will be victorious."
Courage nodded a bit, "You're right about that."
"Enemy ships have arrived!" The soldier reported firmly.
Both Tiger Clan's and Virtue Dragon's Forces quickly climbed up the stairs to the fortress's upper level for close up. They have found the large numbers of Imperial Phoenix Fleets and battleships have arrived at the scene. They all parked and loaded up on the northern land, where they facing to the south, where Red Cliff.
"Wow... That's a lot of ships," Ocellus said fearfully, "I know Azure Phoenix said that he has many ships. I didn't think this many."
“Haven’t seen this many ships in a long time.” Rarity spoke in wonder yet worry at the same time.
Yona groaned, "Lake... Yona not swim... Yona hate water..."
"Still think we can win this?" Rainbow asked in concern.
Ben's eyes narrowed in determination, "We have to. As long we have Skysoar and Riverstrike working together, we can win."
"Are you ready for this," Riverstrike asked curiously.
Skysoar nodded, "I am..."
