"Seeya, Fluttershy!" Rainbow Dash said as she flew away. Fluttershy lay on a cloud. She was exhausted as she had just helped to sweep up the water out of an entire reservoir all the way to Cloudsdale. She was about to leave when a hoof tapped her shoulder. She looked around to see Spitfire there.

"Hi Fluttershy." She said calmly. "You were great in helping Rainbow Dash out today."

Fluttershy remained silent.

"In fact, you were so great, I'm going to make you part of my team."

Fluttershy gasped.

"Oh, no, I couldn't do that." she whispered. Unbeknownst to Spitfire, she had no intention of trying for the Wonderbolts at all, never mind joining them.



The birds could be heard throughout Fluttershy's cottage the next morning. Fluttershy's pet bunny, Angel, noticed some letters by the door. He picked them up and whacked Fluttershy on the head with them.

"Oww!" she yelped. "Angel Bunny, what have you got there?"

She took the letters off the bunny and read the first. Iron Will again. she thought. She opened the second letter, which had the Wonderbolts seal on it.

"Dear Fluttershy," she read out loud.

"We are going to have our next Wonderbolts Derby in Cloudsdale soon. Sadly, one of our flyers has broken their wing, so we would like to ask for you to be her substitute. Here are some tickets for two of your friends to see us - and you - perform. We hope to see you soon,
From Spitfire."

Fluttershy frowned.

"I can't go out there in front of everypony!!" she shouted. The clock nearby her house struck 10 O' clock. She remembered that she had to go to Sugarcube Corner today for the Summer Cupcakes before they ran out. She flew as fast as she could to the Cakes' house. She was first there and so she saw Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie behind the counter.

"Hi Fluttershy!" Pinkie Pie said. "What'll it be today?"

"Oh, hello Pinkie." Fluttershy said. "Can I have one of those Summer Cupcakes please?"

"Oh hey Fluttershy," Rainbow Dash said. "You've got some cardboard in your mane." She pulled the two pieces of card out of Fluttershy's mane and saw that it said 'Wonderbolts Derby' on it.

"TICKETS TO THE WONDERBOLTS DERBY?!!" she shouted. "Where'd you get these, Fluttershy?!"

"Um, Spitfire gave me them yesterday." Fluttershy said. "You can have one if you want, Rainbow."

The rainbow maned pegasus held the tickets close to her chest.

"Thanks Fluttershy!! This is awesome!!" she said. "Oh, and here's your Summer Cupcake. I wish I could do something in return to thank you."

"I'm alright, thank you." Fluttershy whispered. She gave her friend the bits for the Cupcake, took it and walked out. She overheard Rainbow and Pinkie talking about something behind her.

"Hey Pinkie," Rainbow said. "Why don't you come with me to watch? Twilight can make you walk on the clouds again with her magic."

Pinkie shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, Dashie. I'll think about it. Oh look, another customer!"

Fluttershy trotted back home, holding her cupcake between her wings. She was thinking about the Derby and it was coming up in a few days. All she could think about all day after that was the Wonderbolts Derby and what she was going to do about it.
