In the Crystal Empire,Cadence and Shining Armor were bored. Shining's gaurds in training had graduated to Cadets and Cadence didn't have anyone to talk to. They were overjoyed when they got a letter from their daughter.
"Shining look, Flurry wrote to us!", the princess said giddy. " The couple read it excitedly but they soon became disappointed. 
"Should we sign it? This is a lot of commitment" Shining asked his wife. Cadence nodded in approval.
"If this is what she wants to do,we should support her. " Cadence answered. And with that,the parents signed the form and sent it back.

Meanwhile,Flurry was anxiously waiting for her friend to connect. She had stepped outside the hospital room,just in case things got a little agressive. Sapphire was usually pretty calm ,but sometimes she could go off the rails. 
"What's up",Sapphire answered. So far so  good. Flurry took a deep breath before quickly explaining her situation and her descision. " 
Finally her friend spoke "Flurry Heart what is wrong with you? You're 16,you have a life to live,why are you hanging out with some depressed foal?"
The princess tensed her muscles "Sapphire she's not depressed,she's a victim. A victim of abuse. She needs help" 
Sapphire replied "So let somepony else deal with her. Go live your life."
It took everything in the princess' power not to curse out her friend. " Unlike you Sapphire" the mare said through clenched teeth. "I don't want to spend my life doing nothing. I want to be her mother and I don't need your approval",she said before disconnecting her magic. Flurry felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Nurse Redheart standing there with a form in her hooves.
"Congratulations your highness. You're going to be a mother. ". Flurry's frown turned into a smile and her eyes lit up. "Of course you're going to have to get her schooling and such worked out as well as her treatment but you can handle that." 
"Speaking of treatment,I know she has to get some type of reduction injection done every week. Can she do that in the Crystal Empire?"Flurry asked,a smile still on her face. 
"Yes although we would advise keeping her here for the first few injections,to see how her body reacts." the nurse answered. Flurry walked inside to see a sleepy Rare Blossom,hugging her toy.
"I'll tell her later",the alicorn thought watching the filly drift off to sleep.

The Royal family,along with Starlight were gathered around the dinner table,having a salad. The twins were playing with their food,Flash was eating and Starlight was being awkward as always. Flurry swallowed a bite of grass before speaking up.
"Auntie Twi,I adopted a foal",the young alicorn said anxious. It took everything in Starlight's power to keep from spitting out her drink,while Flash and the twins just looked confused. Twilight just stared blankly. 
Flash leaned over to whisper "She hasn't talked during dinner in 3 years,ever since the Peanut Butter Incident. " Flurry Heart had never heard the story but apparently it was gruesome. She decided to talk to her aunt  in the morning.
