Flurry Heart stood on the train platform and covered her ears as the crystal train screeched to a stop. She turned around to say goodbye to her parents and her mother embraced her in a hug.
" I'm gonna miss you Flurry",her mother said blinking away the tears. Flurry looked to her father for support but he was as much of an emotional wreck as she was.
"Relax you guys",Flurry said breaking away from her mother "It's only for the summer, I need to come back and run the empire".
"Sorry hun,we've never had you be away from us. We always left you with Sunburst or Twilight. Now you're on your own",her dad said regaining his composure.
Flurry rolled her eyes but gave her parents a reassuring smile before heading onto the train. She forced herself asleep,if she stayed awake she would be cranky.

Flurry jerked up as the train pulled into the station. She grabbed her luggage and stepped out onto the platform. The station was empty,save for a few older ponies. Flurry let out a sigh of relief. Unlike most 16 year olds, Flurry wasn't a crowd person. Large spaces let her mind wander. She decided to walk to her aunt's castle ,flying would cause too much attention. After a long walk,Flurry knocked on the castle's large doors. A lavender pony with her purple and teal mane pulled into a messy bun answered the door.
"Flurry Heart long time no see!", the mare said levitating her luggage inside. Flurry just smiled and waved,she honestly couldn't remember the mare's name. She hadn't been to Ponyville since she was a filly so a lot of names were unfamiliar.
"Starlight Glimmer" the mare said chuckling. "I don't think we ever formally met" Flurry relaxed a bit but when she saw the state of the castle she was stunned. There were notes and pictures on every wall,the carpet was streaked with a substance and there were toy boxes within 10 feet of each other.
"Um where's my room?" Flurry asked desperate to leave the room.
"It's the old playroom,we locked it so your cousins can't get to it" Starlight answered. Flurry shuddered ,Midnight and Starry Skies were the messiest twins she had ever met. Their parents usually just called it their 'phase' but Twilight disciplined them once for drawing in her books. Flurry teleported to her room with her luggage. It was a basic guest bedroom,it still had the same lemon scented carpet and cloud wallpaper but it was fine.
As Flurry was setting up her closet she heard a small ring from her bag. It was her Connector Gem,it used magic to sync two ponies to each other. Flurry levitated the small,flat disc out of her bag and it glowed white before showing a mare's face.
"Graceful Sapphire hey!" Flurry said to her best friend. The two had been Crystal Scouts as fillies and were inseperable.
"Hi Flurry ,so when you coming back to the Empire?" her friend responded. Flurry let out a slightly unladylike laugh.
"Saph,I just got here you sound like my parents!"
"Heh,sorry Flurry its just gonna be so lame without you. Bolted Gear is in his 'inventing season' so he's gonna be cooped up in his room. " Bolted Gear was Graceful's special somepony but he never spent much time with her. "But that's not why I called you. I know you just got there but DJ Pon3 is having a wicked rager and I feel like you should go."
"Saph ,the ponies here don't party like us,they don't have alchohol." Flurry commented.
"No special juice? Lame but still you should have fun. Trust me." Sapphire said before disconnecting her magic.
"Well guess I'm going to a party" the alicorn thought.

The loud music filled Flurry's ears as she entered the building. The blue spotlight shined on her black metallic jacket as she swayed to the music.
"I'm here might as well try to have fun." she thought. Once the beat dropped she swooped down before raising her head back up in a sexy manner. She shook her hips and nodded her head,ignoring the looks from older stallions. She then got an idea. She flew up to the DJ Booth and laid down a track.
"DJ SKYLA IS IN THE HOUSE" the alicorn yelled over the music. Everypony went wild ,dancing and partying the night away. DJ Pon3 even joined in on the fun. After a while Flurry was starting to get tired so she slipped away to leave. As soon as she stepped outside,she got soaked in the rain.
"FML" she cursed under her breath before using a protection spell. She trotted through the rain as fast as she could,flying would be dangerous. She had a good pace going before she tripped over something. "What the heck?" She said picking up the object. It was heavy and furry with a tail. Then it yawned.
"Holy Celestia!", she screamed before teleporting to Ponyville Hospital. "Help I found a kid in the streets!"
