Chapter the Ethics

Music was playing in Dr Campbell's office as she laid back and nursed her cup of coffee. It had been a busy day with her constantly going over several papers on the approval of several experiments in Site-184.

She was a pale woman with short curly blonde hair, and being an Ethics Committee Liasion means establishing and watching "The Line The Foundation Shall Not Cross", and that entitles her to monitor all Foundation activity in the site they were assigned to and decide wherter or not that action committed by a personnel was ethical or not, and due to the nature of the Foundation, a simple D-Class being tested on could be decided as ethical while keeping lots of them in a hole rotting is probably not.

Dr. Campbell took a sip of her coffee as somebody knocked on her door.

"Come in!" Shouted the Liasion, and one of the Foundation's most valuable researchers entered.

Reseacher Twilight Sparkle.

Dr. Campbell put her cup of joe down and motioned for Twilight to sit down. From her observations, Twilight wanted to do something, but didn't know wherter to do it or not. Being in the Ethics Committee for several decades let you know these types of things.

"So what brings you here?" Asked Dr.Campbell.

Twilight sighed and slumped into her seat, "Doc, I have a problem on mind,"

It wasn't unusual for Twilight to enter her office and ask for advice on everyday things to Foundation research projects, and every now and then they have a cup of tea together and discuss what had happened during their stay in the Foundation.

"What's your problem then?"

Twilight fidgeted in her seat, "Well, you know of Deep Study's funeral right?"

The doctor nodded and motioned for Twilight to continue, already knowing where this conversation might go.

"W-well Grey told me that Stargale didn't know of Deep's real job and so she denounced him and never contacted them again,"

"And?" Asked Campbell while raising an eyebrow.

"After seeing I, I don't want that to happen to me, I want to activate FD90 on my friends and family," said Twilight

Dr Campbell sat there in thought with her eyes shut, thinking about the potential backlash that could happen if Twilight activated FD90.

First of all, her friends, the Elements of Harmony, and all the other ones she met the throughout her many adventures, if she were to tell them, the possibility of them being in shock of Twilight lying to them for the course of their entire friendship might end it, but if she tagged along and explained to them about Twilight's job, it might not end so badly.

Secondly, her family. Ever since Twilight's brother married to Pretty Pink Princess, she's also related to Princess Celestia, and then Luna. The backlash from her parents could be them going into shock becuase Twilight does "unethical" things in the Foundation, and from royalty, they might be shocked that Twilight had another job, that she hid it from them, and that she probably committed many unethical things while in the Foundation. The only way Dr. Campbell saw to soften the backlash was for her to tag along with Twilight and explained everything, and maybe bring a Safe SCP along to show that she wasn't lying.

"Doc?"

Twilight's question snapped Dr. Campbell out o her thoughts, she looked at Twilight to see her with a worried look on her friend's face.

"What is it?" Asked Campbell

"Sorry, it's just that you were unresponsive for about, ten minutes I say," replied Twilight.

"I was just thinking, and don't you also do that?"

Twilight blushed a bit from the doctor's comment, "So... Can I activate FD90 on my friends and family?"

Dr. Campbell took a sip from cup of her coffee before delivering her answer, "Well, you can activate FD90 that's for sure, you just need to-" Dr. Campbell opened one of her drawers and pulled out a stack of paper, "-fill in all of these FD90 forms, return them to me for authorization, and then, when you want to reveal to them, I'm going to tag along-"

"Why?" Interrupted Twilight.

"-So I can explain to your friends what you do here in the Foundation, what the Foundation does, and also to hopefully soften the backlash that could happen from you reveling to them out of the blue," Dr. Campbell stopped to open another drawer and took out a canister and tossed it over to Twilight who grabbed it with her telekinesis, "and you might need this Class-A Amnestic just in case things go south when you are revealing to them about your secret job."

"Thanks again Doctor," said Twilight as she got up and took the forms on Campbell's table.

As she headed for the exit, Campbell called out once more to Twilight who promptly turned around.

"Don't forget Twilight, Godspeed Twilight, Godspeed," said Campbell.

Twilight looked over her forms and turned back to Campbell and said "Here goes nothing I guess,"

With that Twilight left the Ethics Commitee Liasion's office to go and fill out her forms and reveal to her friends and family about what she does in the dark.

Dr. Campbell slumped back into her seat and took a sip from her cup of coffee, "Now, hopefully Twilight's friends don't panic and run for the hills, anf hopefully Celestia doesn't go full on ham with the Foundation for what we have done here,"

Campbell looked to the pile of propositions on the side of her desk, she sighed and pulled one over, and immediately she tossed it into the trash bin, she took the next one and then threw into the trash bin.

"Doctor?" Campbell looked up to see the Site Director enter her office.

"Yes?"
