My Little Pony: Breath of the Wild

Infinite

Link hid behind a building as he saw strange machine’s moving across the street. “Great... I didn't realize how advanced this world was earlier.” He muttered as he watched the street clear before running across it. Taking out his Shiekah Slate, he did a quick scan of the area before coming across a small one room home. Reaching into his pouch, he pulled out a piece of paper he pulled out from what was labeled a ‘phone book’ and looked at the address. “This seems to be the place.” He said and walked up to the front door. Unsurprising, he found it to be locked. Grunting, Link ran around back only to spot a door leading into the basement.

“That would be a great place to hide the Shrine.” He said opening the door and leaping down below only to be in total darkness. “Well... maybe there is a light switch down here.” He said feeling the walls only to hear a bone chilling laugh. “So... The famous Link, Champion of Hyrule, is afraid of the dark!” The voice said. Link spun around to the source of the voice only to see a red glow on the other side of the basement. “Who are you?” Link asked drawing his sword and shield out. The voice laughed again, as the glow begun to brighten revealing a masked face with only one eye visible. “You may call me... Infinite... In the brief moments that remain to you.” the masked figure said as the glow, now showing to be coming from a gem fused to the being’s chest, suddenly flooded the entire room, filling the air with a strange sound as the entire basement transformed into an arena. Link gripped his weapons as Infinite, revealed to be a female unicorn with phantom wings, landed on the ground before the Champion.

“Im not gonna let you interfere with my plans for this world, as well as your own!” She said before a massive sword appeared in her hands. Link grinned as he leapt forward, slicing at the Unicorn only for her to vanish as the sword struck him in the side, knocking him to the wall. “What the hell?” He asked getting back up. Infinite stood before him laughing raising her blade up. “Guess that massive nap has worn you down.” She said swinging her blade down only for Link to block it with his sword, spinning his feet around knocking the Unicorn off her feet. Without warning, Link leapt to his feet pulling out his Shiekah Slate using the Stasis Ruin on Infinite and charged her, leaping up to strike her gem, only to be blocked at the last second as Infinite raised her hand and grabbed his sword. “Oh please. I exist outside of Time and Space you moron. You think a Stasis lock will work on me?” She asked before kicking the knight to the ground only for Link to pull out his bow and arrow’s and fired two at her hands, forcing her to drop his sword. “Not bad.” She muttered kicking the blade back at the Champion. “But your still far to weak to face me.” She said getting ready to vanish only for Link to grab his sword and swung his sword, hitting her mask slowly knocking it off. He then leapt into the air with his sword pointing skyward knocking her into the air before swinging it rapidly at her face smacking her mask around more before kicking her onto the ground and landing on her point first on her gem. However, She raised her hand to block the blade knocking the Champion to the side before floating back into the air.

“Hmm... I underestimated you... No one has ever been able to actually land a blow on me without me letting them... Let alone five... Perhaps you will survive in your pathetic meaningless quest...” She said before pixeling out of existence. Link panted as the arena returned into the basement. “What was that all about?” Link asked as he put his weapons away. Looking around, he finally found the light switch and flicked it on revealing the empty basement to the young warrior. Pulling out his Shiekah Slate, he walked into the middle of the room as he selected the Shrine of Resurrection. “Hope this works.” He muttered as he activated the Shrine. Suddenly the basement began to rumble as the machine began to grow out of the ground and ceiling. “Well, that parts taken care of. Now... I need to get her in the Shrine.” He said making his way up the stairs only to look around her apartment. “Just who were you Sunset Shimmer... and why do you seem so familiar to me?” He asked picking up a photo of her and her friends. He dropped the picture onto the couch as another memory came back to him.

Link ran onto the field of battle with his Hylian Blade and Wooden Shield as the army of Bokoblins charged onto Hyrule Field. “Great Hylia, where did these monster’s come from?” He asked as he begun swiping his sword cutting the Bokoblins apart before charging forward knocking the monster’s down before launching into a spin attack slicing more in half. The Hylian commander Impa noticed Link charging forward and shouted at one of the knight’s, “WHO IS THAT THERE?” The Knight turned towards Link in confusion as he saw the trainee suddenly leap into the air performing a spin attack before slicing the Bokoblins apart and landing down knocking more back. Impa ran over to the young knight as he sliced them back. “Young man, are you from the training hall?” She asked to which Link nodded only to block a Lizalfoes sword with his shield. “I heard the opposing army was overwhelming us so I thought it wise to lend a hand.” Link said. Impa leapt over Link pulling out her Giant’s Blade slicing the Lizalfoes head off. “Indeed we do. If only we had more trainee's like you.” She said to him as the duo made their way to the abandoned fort, only to be blasted by fire as a dragon landed in the fort, transforming into a knight covered in dragon armor and wielding a massive spear.

“You two shall not pass!” He yelled before breathing a massive fireball at them, nearly burning them alive. “Heh...” the Dragon Knight said with a smirk only for two arrow’s to go flying past his head. “WHAT THE?” He yelled as a woman leapt over the fire shooting a barrage of arrows at him. “YOU LEAVE MY BROTHER ALONE!” The woman yelled as her hood fell off revealing a young woman with fiery red and yellow hair as she began to fire off round after round of arrows at the knight only to throw bombs into the mix as she knocked him into the door busting it open. “HOW DARE YOU ATTACK ME!” He yelled throwing the door aside getting ready to blast her with another fireball only for his first fire he shot at Link and Impa went out revealing Link standing over the Commander Impa sword out ready to fend off the Dragon Knight as his right hand was glowing with the Triforce.

“Wha-Could you be... the chosen one?” Impa asked looking at Link as he charged forward to the Knight only to raise his sword skyward causing it to glow before bringing it back down to unleash a massive Spin Attack knocking the Knight near the mine’s before he transformed back into a dragon and flew away. He then turned his head towards his sister who was helping Impa up and yelled, “SUNSET, DEFEND IMPA! IM GOING TO HELP THE TROOPS OVER BY THE MINE’S!”

“Sunset... Shimmer... was my sister?” He muttered asking himself only to watch as the room was filled with a bright light. Turning around, he watched as a woman appeared before him wielding a sword with two massive angel wings on her back. She had white hair with dark skin and was wearing light bulky armor. “Young Champion from another world, You seek out your long lost sister. We wish to help you and her out.” She said confusing Link. “We? Who’s we?” he asked as she had an image appear before her. “We are the Hellguard. Angels who are devoted to defeating the armies of hell. Your sister is supposed to be alive, as she has an important destiny to live up to, but now this entire world is at stake.” She said as Link nodded looking at his Shiekah Slate. “I brought over a machine that should be able to return her to the land of the living, though Im not sure how long that will take.” He said before picking up the picture he dropped looking at the girl he once knew.

“You seem confused Young Champion. What seems to be the problem?” The angel asked floating behind him. Link turned holding up the picture. “I don’t know... My memory is sorta fuzzy... or fragmented if thats a better term. I can only remember bits and piece’s of my life from thousands of years ago, and i can remember even less of Sunset... My mind is telling me that something about her is wrong, but I cant figure out what it is...” He said head hanging low as he put the picture onto his Shiekah Slate only for it to disappear into the Slate itself. The Angel nodded before looking to the basement door asking, “If we stick her in the Shrine, is there a chance she will also lose her memories?” Link gave an honest shrug not knowing the answer. Sighing, the Angel folded her arm’s before turning to the basement. “Well we need her alive... So I suppose we have no choice in this.” She said heading there with Link following.

Upon walking up to it, she started chanting before having a portal open before them. “Horseman! I have need of you service!” She yelled out into it. Link watched as after a few moments a crow stuck its head out of the portal and cawed at them. “Don’t give me that crap Dust. Tell your master we have need of his skills and that it shouldn’t take but a minute or two of his time.” Dust pulled his head back in and finally, a few moments later, Link watched as a pale man, so pale his skin should be rotting, hair black as sin, with a mask made of bone covering his face stepped out of the portal, his orange eyes flaring. “Just what do you want Uriel?” the man asked before noticing Link standing next to her and asked, “Who is he?” The Angel, known as Uriel, pointed to the Young Champion explaining, “This young man is the last champion of Hyrule, Link, and we need your services on retrieving his sister’s remain’s so we can return her to life.” The pale man turned to Link almost frowning behind his mask.

“So, your the hero’s spirit reborn huh?” He asked stepping towards the Champion. “Hero’s spirit?” Link asked confused. The man walked to Link putting his finger on his chest. “You posses the spirit of the hero, and every time you go into the well of soul’s, you get dragged back out to face a new evil.” He explained before turning to the shrine. “Who am I trying to bring here?” He asked Uriel. “A young woman by the name of Sunset Shimmer.” She explained. Nodding, he raised his hand and begun muttering words under his breath. Suddenly the ground began to shake as a bloody hand pushed itself out of the earth. Link watched as soon a body began to follow. Soon standing before them were the remain’s of his long lost sister. “Wha... Where am I?” she asked, her voice sounding faint. “Sunset Shimmer, I have brought you back to your apartment to be resurrected the the young man standing by me.” The pale man said nodding to Link.

Sunset blinked, her eyes empty as she looked at the pale man, Link, and Uriel. “Why... why would you try to bring me back to this nightmare of a world?” She asked them. Uriel stepped forward, explaining, “Miss Shimmer, my name is Uriel of the hellguard. We have information that states you are supposed to be alive to face and defeat an evil that has not come yet, but you taking your life has left no one left to fight. As much as I know it hurts you, we need you alive.” Sunset gave a small nod before looking at Link. “So why are you helping them out? What do you get out of this?” She asked. Stepping forward, Link grabbed Sunset’s bloody hands and looked into her eye’s. “I get my little sister back.” He said before hugging her remain’s. Sunset blinked clearly confused as Link stepped back. “Im sorry, but Ive never met you in my life.” She said shattering his heart. “You... don’t know me? How can you not remember me?” He asked only for the man to touch his shoulder. “We don’t have much time left. We need to put her in that chamber before her body falls apart.” Whipping tears he didn’t even know he was crying away, Link nodded turning back to Sunset. “I guess we can talk after you wake up and defeat this evil.” He said to which she nodded. “Looking forward to it.” She said before laying down in the chamber. “Thank you for this.” She said before her body stopped moving and she returned to being a body.

Link pulled out his Shiekah Slate and placed it on the pedestal to close the chamber only for an error message to appear. “What the? Why isn’t it closing?” He asked turning around. The pale man had a scythe out all of a sudden and moved it slowly over Sunset’s body. “Her spirit is to weak. She wont be able to survive this.” He said as Link walked over. “What if I gave her part of mine?” He asked. The man turned to him pondering. “It could work. Your spirit is one of the strongest Ive ever seen... However, if we do this, She will then be bound by the same curse your spirit is bound to.” He said. Link turned towards Uriel and spoke, “It sounds like she already is.” Uriel looked down with a frown as the man nodded.

“So be it.” He then muttered under his breath as Link saw a green orb appear before him. He then saw a red orb appear over Sunset, but with piece’s missing. The pale man raised his hand and had parts of the green orb break off and fill in the pieces that were missing before he sent the two orbs back to their owners. “Try now.” He said calmly. Link walked back over and placed the Slate back onto the pedestal getting an all clear message as the pod began to close. “Phew. It worked. Thank you Sir.” Link said. The man turned back and nodded. “Call me Death. Now, I think you had better return to your world.” He said before reopening his portal and stepping through only to turn to Uriel. “And you had better not summon me ever again Uriel.” He said before closing it.

“Ass.” She said before turning to Link. “And he’s right. Im sure you have your own destiny to follow before you can meet her again.” She said before disappearing. Link nodded and ran to the basement exit before heading back into the apartment and grabbing a shirt and some pants for her and wrote her a note in Hylian, ‘Hope these fit you when you awake.’ He then placed them on a dresser and headed out.

Twilight looked up as Link stepped through the portal, tired. “How’d it go?” She asked as he fell into a chair. “Well, got into a fight with a Unicorn who could stand on two feet, met an angel, as well as the Grim Reaper, and got to speak to the dead remain’s of my sister.” He said to which Twilight asked, “Sister? I thought you were going to go after Sunset.” Link looked down before pulling out his Shiekah Slate with the image of Sunset on it. “I did. Sunset... in another life for her... was my little sister.” “WHAT?!?!” Twilight yelled at him. Link sighed and begun to explain everything to her as she took notes on everything. “Hmm... I suppose Ill have to ask Princess Luna for some help on this. She’s the only one who can view a pony’s mind while they sleep.” Twilight said only for Link to yawn. “Which means Ill be seeing her very soon Im guessing.” He said tiredly only for a letter to appear in his lap.

“What in the world?” He asked before opening it, unable to understand what it says. “I... don’t think I can read this.” He said handing it over to Twilight. Looking it over, Twilight’s eye’s widened before looking to Link. “It’s the princess’s second test! She says tomorrow to go into the Everfree woods and hunt down a structure in the center of the woods. Once you find it, the test will begin.” Nodding, Link stood up and began making his way to his room. “Guess I better get some sleep then.” He said.
