//------------------------------// // Who's that? // Story: Punky Change // by Discord The Narrator //------------------------------// Ponyville, home for a lot of ponies, including Twilight Sparkle, Spike the Dragon and their friends. This town is one nice place to live in. We can enjoy it even more if we ignore certain issues, like a parasprite invasion or the fact that, usually, there's a new villain waiting around the corner. Ok, maybe Ponyville is not the safest place, but it's usually peaceful. Anyways, back to the story! Ponyville's inhabitants were celebrating a party at the Town Hall. Pinkie had the idea to make a special party, in which everypony would have to disguise as things they liked. At the end, the best disguise would receive a prize! So there they were: Pinkie was dressed as a chocolate cake; AJ went as a scarecrow; Fluttershy was a bunny (something that Angel Bunny was trying to process); Rainbow Dash couldn't resist going to the party as Daring Do; and Rarity disguised herself as a Princess, while Spike was a Prince. Twilight wasn't with them, as she said she would be busy doing things at Golden Oak Library. "Well, Ah guess Twilight is not gonna come here, right?" Applejack asked. "Well, I don't blame her. Being a librarian must be a difficult job, like getting a dress properly done." Rarity said. "Or maybe she's... I don't know... reading?" Rainbow added. "That could be the most probable thing, if we didn't know that she has already read a lot of the books the library has. And if she is from Canterlot, she probably has also read the books that could be there, if Canterlot has books. Am I right?" Pinkie explained, smiling. "That could be right." Fluttershy muted. "Why did you dress as a bubble-adorable bunny, Fluttershy?" Pinkie asked. "Heh... Why not?" Fluttershy blushed as she smiled. "That's a nice disguise, Fluttershy! I bet you could win the "Most Adorable Disguise" prize!" Spike cheered, making the yellow Pegasus giggle. "Um... Girls?" Pinkie said. "What is it, Pinkie?" Rainbow asked. "I don't know if my eyes are clean, but I'm seeing another Unicorn that kinda looks like Rarity." Pinkie said, as she got a bottle of water from her mane and threw the content over her eyes. "That is nonsensical! What makes you think any pony could look..." Rarity turned around as she spoke, noticing a surprising thing. There was indeed another Unicorn who looked like Rarity, only that her design was different. Instead of a long majestic mane, this one had shorter mane and tail, sporting purple, yellow and green colors. She was also wearing a purple and black vest, with a bracelet on her front left hoof and another one on her tail. "...like she was another me?" Rarity finished her question. Earlier, at Golden Oak Library, Twilight had finished rearranging the books. "Heh, it only took me two minutes to put every book in its place! And now, let's get the disguise ready." Twilight said, as she gathered everything she would need. A while later, she had the materials: a mirror, a hair comb, a few fast dry paint buckets and brushes, a pair of scissors, a chest with clothes, a makeup kit and a pair of contact lenses. "I'll disguise myself as Rarity. The only difference? The great design I imagined!" Twilight exclaimed. First of all, Twilight levitated a brush, putting it in one of the buckets, the color of which was moderate indigo, and painted her mane and tail completely, covering her original colors with the new one. Once the paint was dry, she got the hair comb and started grooming her mane in a way so it would look more like Rarity's, ensuring that it would be wavy. "It's an odd feeling: I kinda like this manestyle. It's a shame thinking what I'll do to it later." Twilight noted. Putting that issue aside, Twilight continued with her current task. She got another brush inside the other paint bucket. This time, the color was a light gray. Twilight used it on her head, from horn to neck. She also took a moment to close her eyes, painting her eyelids with a light cornflower bluish gray. After that, she opened her eyes again. "Hmmm... Something is missing..." Twilight pondered, until she noticed. "Oh, the eyes!" She grabbed the pair of moderate azure contact lenses with her magic, putting them over her eyes. Then, she got the eyelash mask from the makeup kit, using it on her eyelashes. For now, her face was already looking like Rarity. "There we go! And now, the rest of the body!" Twilight resumed the task of painting her body in light gray. When she assured herself that every inch was covered, including her Cutie Mark, she levitated the hair comb once more and groomed her tail, leaving it truly wavy like Rarity's. For the finishing touch, she also painted Rarity's Cutie Mark on both of her flanks. Looking at the mirror, Twilight almost didn't recognize herself: she had disguised herself as Rarity! "Almost complete! All I need are a few changes." She said. Rummaging through the clothes in the chest, Twilight finally found a purple and black vest, and a pair of bracelets. Before wearing them, she looked at the mirror. "Sorry, I have to do it." Twilight said, levitating the scissors. She used them to cut some of her mane and tail. When the results convinced her, she messed her mane a bit. And then, some yellow and green completed the job. After that, she put the vest on and then, one bracelet on her front left hoof and the other one on her tail. At last, the disguise was complete! "Finally! And now, there's just one more thing: going to the party!" Twilight exclaimed, happy, as she went outside. Some time later, after the party, Spike and the others were still marveled by Twilight's disguise. Even more, she had won the prize: a trip to Las Pegasus. "Well, darling, hope you have a wonderful time when you go there." Rarity said. "Don't forget the rollercoaster!" Rainbow added. "And the sweets! I heard those are even more delicious than mine, but anyways!" Pinkie said. "Thank you so much, girls." Twilight said. With her magic, she pulled them together for a group hug. She knew her friends would always supports her, no matter what. "Maybe you could invite us, right?" Spike asked as the rest stared at him. And then, they laughed, Spike joining in as they went back home. The End
