//------------------------------// // Ancient Texts // Story: The Sith Lord's Hearth Warming // by AntiBronyBenSwolo //------------------------------// An Introduction by Dark Ghostbuster Hello there. Before I tell you my story, let me introduce myself. I am Dark Ghostbuster, an "evil clone", if you will, of a Jedi Knight named SuperFolder Ghostbuster. Crazy name, I know. Most people...or ponies...just call me "Dark Side", just to make it easier. Anyways, you come to me for a story to fill you with the Holiday spirits, do you? Whether it be for Hearth's Warming Eve or Life Day or whatever? I probably should guess so. Otherwise, why would you read this in the first place? Well, anyways, settle down, and I'll tell you the story of a Holiday Miracle. End of Introduction It was a dark and stormy afternoon on the tombs of Morriban. I was searching the tombs with a group of companions, a couple of Imperial Stormtroopers, a couple of Princess Celestia's Royal Guards, and my personal companion, Peacock Topaz (a gem from Homeworld, an Equestria controlled planet). The six of us toured the dark tunnels and graves of the Dark Lords of old, with only my violet lightsaber to guide the way. We were searching for ancient texts that would give me unimaginable power, giving me the edge in an interdimensional war I was participating in. "Find anything?" I called out to my team, who shook their heads. Disappointed, we searched deeper and deeper into the tombs, hoping to look for at least something to help turn the tide. "Oh, I think I found something, Darling." Peacock Topaz called out, as I rushed to her side and found an ancient grave with a very long scroll, and I examined the scroll closer. The scroll told the tale of the Sith Lords Revan and Malak, and how they waged their war and almost destroyed the Jedi. I just thought maybe if I learned the tactics they used, then we might have ourselves an advantage in the war. Relieved that we even found something, the two stormtroopers left our party, while Peacock Topaz, the Guards, and I all traveled back to Canterlot (via. Interdimensional Portal) to meet up with Princess Celestia and tell her about what I found. Before we got to the palace, however, I saw all of Equestria covered in snow and the buildings covered in lights of red and green, and the ponies were carrying trees into their homes. I was mostly confused. The two of us walked into the Canterlot Palace, and we saw the same exact thing happening there as well. Princess Celestia was placing a large golden star on the top of the tree that was dragged into the castle. "Ah, your highness." I greeted the Princess with a bow, followed by Peacock Topaz. Celestia paused her progress with her tree to speak to me. "We meet again, Dark Side. What brings you here?" The princess asked as I had a devilish grin on my face. I presented the scroll to Celestia and started to explain my thinking. "OK, so this scroll tells of two powerful Sith who nearly brought the Jedi to their knees. I was thinking if we could use their strategies, we can use them to win the war." I explained, proud of my plan. Celestia, however, grew concerned about where I was going with this. "Well...maybe we'll use your strategies after Hearth's Warming Eve, but now--" Celestia offered, stunning me. "Wait, there are Holidays coming up?" I asked, enraged at the Princess. "Well, yes. Did you not see the decorations we're putting up?" Celestia asked as the Royal Guards and Butlers carried tinsels and ornaments and candles galore. I let out a sigh of disappointment. "We don't have time for Holidays. We have a war to wage, remember? Against humans? the Jedi?" I asked, annoyed about all of this. "Dark Side, it's because of Hearth's Warming Eve we can't wage the war. It is a time of family and cheer, and we can't have Hearth's Warming Eve go on while our troops are fighting a war, so we take a day off." Celestia explained. And needless to say, I wasn't happy one bit. "You are risking heavy casualties just for a day off! Do you really think our enemies are going to take the day off and act like we're remotely close to friends just for a few days? It's idiocy, I tell you." I yelled "Ummm, Actually..." Peacock Topaz said, holding up a personal holocom of SF_Ghostbuster, my arch-enemy. "Greetings, Princess Celestia. You well know of our war, and that it has raged on in countless worlds and universes. But, if you don't mind, I would like to declare a temporary stalemate for the holiday season. Who knows, maybe these few days will give us a vantage point in achieving peace for the war. I don't want to win the war against you, Celestia. I only want to end it. And the holidays, whether it be Hearth's Warming or Life Day, may help achieve that. May the Force be with you." The message of the Jedi Knight explained. Celestia stroked her chin. "You actually aren't gonna believe that, are you?" I asked, furious about what Ghostbuster announced. "Well, I was going to send Twilight to ask him the same thing, but now it looks like I don't have to." Celestia smiled, causing me to shriek out in anger. "What is wrong with everybody? Has everyone lost their minds? This is WAR! It has no days off or anything like that!" I yelled as I stormed off out of the palace. "Hey, Dark Side," Peacock Topaz called out from the castle doors "Maybe it won't be so bad after all. If you want, I have a present I'd like you to unwrap for me." The gem said, winking at me. I won't lie, I almost threw up when she said that. I then used the Force to slam the doors in Peacock Topaz's face, and I stormed off into Ponyville to meet up with Twilight. Maybe she'll talk some sense into all of this for everyone.
