//------------------------------// // Epilogue: A Great Change Has Come // Story: A Daedra's Heart // by Randablitz //------------------------------// (Six months later, Canterlot Castle, 3rd P.O.V) A lot has changed since Kai and Luna’s wedding six months ago. Such events included: Celestia and Sheogorath’s wedding, Garrin and Sassy's wedding, the defeat of the Storm King, the discovery of the Kirin, and many other events that made history. Today however, Luna was in the medical wing of the castle because she had been feeling ill for the past few weeks, and she didn’t know why. The doctor returned to her with a smile on his face. “Well your majesty, you’re not ill, you’re pregnant. Congratulations!” The doctor said, his smile unwavering. Luna sat on the exam table with a look of shock on her face. “Your highness? Are you alright?" He asked regaining her attention. “Y-yes doctor. I’m just surprised. I think deep down I knew, but I just didn’t believe it, until now.” Luna said as a smile came across her face as well as a few tears of joy streaming down her face. She left the medical ward with a smile and slight pep in her step as she went off to join her sister, and brother-in-law for lunch. (Castle Dining Room, Celestia’s P.O.V) I am really happy that my sweet Prince of Madness managed to get me to take break from work every so often. If he didn’t I would be starving myself, and be borderline insane by now. “How are ya doin’ my lovely queen of the sun?” Sheogorath asked as he sat down next to me. I smiled at seeing my husband. “Just fine Sheo. How’s your day been going?” I said with a smile. “I’ve been hangin’ around Sanguine, Discord, and the rest of the gang, playin’  bunch of jokes on people.” He replied with his trademark grin. “I’ll bet. Have you seen Luna lately? Kai said she hasn’t been feeling well for the past two weeks.” I said with a concerned tone. “No, I haven’t, but I hope it’s nothin’ too serious.” He said as he placed a hand on my shoulder. A few minutes later We see Luna coming into dining room with a smile on her face and a skip in her step as she took her seat across from me and Sheogorath. “Oh hello Tia, Sheo, nice day isn’t it?” She asked happily. “Yes it is nice, but Luna are you alright? Kai said that you might be ill.” I said with a quirked eyebrow. “Oh I wasn’t sick Tia. It turns out that I’m expecting my first child!” Luna said, nearly squealing in delight. Sheo and I sat there shocked at Luna’s news. “If you two stay quiet, I’ll have to alert the mortician.” Luna said with a smirk. “I’m so happy for you dear sister! Does Kai know?” I asked excitedly. Luna shook her head. “No, but I will tell him tonight.” She said with a smile. After about five minutes one of the maids came to take our lunch orders. After lunch, Luna went back to her study. (Later that evening, Luna/Kai’s bedroom, Kai’s P.O.V) I came back home to my beautiful wife after a long day of managing my cult, keeping people from rioting in the streets from Sheogorath’s pranks, and strangely allowing Hermaeus to access the Isles of Perception for some reason. I saw Luna sitting at her desk sorting through various documents. “Hey, how are you doing?” I asked making Luna look up from her work with a smile. “Hello love. I have some good news for you.” She said with a smile. “Really?” I asked as I walked over to her desk. “Yes, but I think I’ll tell you after dinner.” She said as her stomach rumbled loudly. “Okay. Let’s just have it delivered to us, I don’t feel like leaving the room tonight.” I said. Luna nodded as I wrote down our dinner order and sent it to the kitchen. Twenty minutes later our food arrived and we ate in peace. After we ate we sat down on the couch in front of the fireplace relaxing in each other’s embrace. “So, what do want to tell me?” I asked earning a giggle from Luna. “Kai, my darling, I wasn’t sick. I’m pregnant.” Luna said with a loving smile on her face. I felt my eyes sting from the tears of joy and pride of becoming a father. I kissed Luna and once we separated, we just relaxed for the evening. That was the plan until one of my servants from the Isles of Perception suddenly appeared in the room with a distraught look on his face. “My Lord Kai,” the servant said in frantic worry. “News from the Isles! A gravely injured warrior of unknown race appeared through the Oblivion Gate!” I furrowed my brow at this news. “Is he being tended to?” I asked. “Yes my lord as soon as he appeared he had a message for you.” The servant said. “What did he say?” I asked. “I don’t know master I was sent to give you this news. The watchman who first saw him might be better.” He said bowing his head in sadness. “It’s fine, who found our new guest?” I asked placing a hand on his shoulder. “An Argonian, named Selavan Shortspine, Master.” He said. “Very well. We’ll meet you at the Citadel medical ward.” I said as Luna and I stood up as the servant bowed his head and disappeared in a flash of purple flames. “Let’s go, there’s not a moment to waste.” I said with urgency.
