Satania excitedly grabbed all the ingredients from Pinkie's list, unaware of the conversation now taking place in the next room.
"OK so here's my plan. I'm gonna help you two make these Melon Bread things," said Rainbow Dash.
"Well that's nice of you Dashie, but how is it gonna teach Satania anything about pranking?" asked a confused Pinkie Pie.
Dash simply smiled at this as she used her wing to open her saddle bag and pulled out a bottle as she said, "This is a rare and extremely potent hot sauce that I had Starlight pick up for me as a souvenir from Saddle Arabia after her and Trixie's show."
Pinkie then grinned as she caught on to where Rainbow Dash was going as she said, "OHHH! You're gonna put some of that in Satania's Melon Bread?"
"Yup," said Rainbow Dash proudly
Pinkie grinned at her for a little longer before a look of concern overtook her face as she said, "Hold on though, these are like her all time favorite treat. I don't think we should mess with it like this."
Rainbow looked annoyed as she said, "AH MAN! SERIOUSLY!"
Pinkie Pie responded by giving her a serious look and saying, "You wouldn't want us pulling another zombie prank on you to teach you a lesson, would you?"
Rainbow groaned and said, "Fine. How about this, we make the treats normally and after it's all done I hand her the bottle saying it's some kind of special flavoring sauce, she puts a little on hers, gets burned, but then she still has all the others to enjoy."
Pinkie's grin returned as she said, "That sounds good."
Before they could exchange any more banter about this Satania returned carrying all the necessary supplies as she said, "Now then Pink Pony, let us make some amazing Melon Bread worthy of my demonic pallet." She then sat the ingredients down before noticing Rainbow Dash and saying, "Oh, hello Rainbow Pony. What brings you here?"
Rainbow held back a laugh as she said, "Rainbow Dash, and I was in the area and figured I'd help you two with the baking."
Pinkie Pie, making no effort to hold it back, giggled as she said, "Yup, Dash here sure loves baking with me."
Satania didn't think anything of this as she said, "Well that's fine. Hopefully we can get the Melon Bread done faster then."
They all began mixing the ingredients together into a bowl following Pinkie's instructions.
"OK so next you mold the dough into a cylinder and place in the fridge," said Pinkie.
"Wait, the fridge?" said Rainbow Dash
"Cylinder? Melon Bread doesn't look like a cylinder," said Satania.
"No, but we gotta make the cookie dough a nice cold cylinder so we can wrap it around the bread rolls later," said Pinkie Pie with a smile.
Satania just looked confused as she said, "Wait, I kind of understand how you could learn the ingredients for stuff by tasting them, but how do you know all this stuff about preparing it?"
Pinkie shrugged as she said, "What can I say, it's a gift."
Satania looked at Rainbow Dash for a better answer but she simply shrugged too and said, "That's Pinkie for ya, but she's usually right about this kind of stuff so I'd listen."
"Fine Pink pony, but if you ruin a treat as amazing as Melon Bread, then you shall feel my full demonic wrath," said Satania as her eyes filled with rage.
Pinkie simply smiled, as she of all people knew how serious baked goods could be, and said, "Duly noted."
They all then got to work as they began making several dough balls, which they placed on a tray for abit before taking the cookie cylinder out of the fridge and divided it into several sheets. They than began to wrap these sheets around the bread balls as Satania got excited saying, "Hey, It's starting to look like Melon Bread now."
Pinkie Pie smiled at this as Rainbow Dash said, "I told you to trust Pinkie."
They then placed the finished products in the oven before Pinkie said, "OK. It should just a few minutes before they are ready."
Satania looked a little giddy as she said, "Oh boy oh boy! I can't believe I made my own Melon Bread, now I don't need to worry about that dog or anyone stealing it from me because I can just make more." She then looked at Pinkie before saying, "And I never could have done it without you. Thank you Pinkie Pie for expanding my already great well of demonic knowledge into new areas."
Pinkie felt good at hearing this sincere words and returned them by giving a mock bow and saying, "Thank you Kurumizawa Satanichia McDowell. I am honored to have made treats for a future queen."
At this Rainbow looked confused as she said, "Kurumiza-what now?"
"Oh that's just Satania's real name. I figured I should use her real name instead of her nickname since she used mine instead of her nickname for me." Pinkie then looked concerned as she turned to Satania and said, "Oh darn, I shouldn't have said that in front of Rainbow since people need to earn the right to know your real name just like me and Applejack did."
Satania smugly smiled as she said, "Do not fret Pink Pony, as while yes Rainbow Dash has yet to do much for me, if she is as useful as you and your friends have been thus far I'm sure she will earn it in time too."
Rainbow became somewhat annoyed that she apparently wasn't "worthy" enough to use Satania's real name, but at that moment the oven timer went off and her annoyance turned to a desire for revenge as she said, "Hey Satania, I think I got something that will make this Melon Bread even better."
"Really!" said Satania excitedly as Pinkie pulled the Melon Bread out of the oven before placing them on a cooling sheet.
Rainbow then pulled the hot sauce out of her saddle bag again before giving it to Satania and saying, "Yeah, this is a special desert topping that can bring out hidden flavors in anything."
Satania grabbed a Melon Bread and for a moment her excitement melted to skepticism as she said, "I don't know. Melon Bread is already good enough without bringing out any other flavors."
Rainbow smugly smiled as she said, "Trust me, it well defiantly give this stuff an extra kick." She then let out a little giggle.
Satania didn't notice that though as she said, "If you say so," before pouring some of the hot sauce on her Melon Bread and taking a bite.
Rainbow and Pinkie looked at her expectantly as she began chewing and then swallowed, but to their surprise a huge smile overtook her face as she said, "THIS IS AMAZING!" She then poured some on the Melon Bread in front of Rainbow Dash as she said, "HERE RAINBOW, YOU MUST EAT THIS AMAZING COMBO YOU SHOWED ME!"
Rainbow smiled nervously as Satania poured more and more hot sauce on it before whispering to Pinkie Pie saying, "Why didn't that work."
Pinkie whispered back to her saying, "Well either she is partially taste deaf like me and can eat spicy foods no problem or that Saddle Arabian hot sauce isn't as powerful as ponies say it is."
Rainbow then gulped, hoping for the latter, as she took a bite of her Melon Bread not wanting Satania to know anything had happened. Unfortunately it soon became apparent that it was the former as steam came out of her ears and she burst back out the window looking for a large source of water.
Pinkie Pie giggled at how much Rainbow's plan had backfired on her as Satania confusedly said, "What was that about?"
Pinkie said, "Oh, I guess Rainbow just had somewhere to be," before her glance turned away from the erratically flying Rainbow Dash to the now darkening sky as she said, "Oh cupcakes, speaking of places to be it's getting dark out and I should probably take you back to Twilight's castle while anypony working day jobs is getting home and before anypony working night jobs goes out."
"OK then Pink Pony," said Satania before she glanced back at the table and said, "Can I take some of the Melon Bread with me?"
Pinkie smiled as she said, "Take as much as you want, I made them for you silly." Satania then grabbed acouple and put them in a nearby bag before they headed out the door and Pinkie added, "Just be sure not to add that special sauce if you share them with Twilight or Spike, let's just say they may not appreciate it as much as you do."
Satania simple laughed at this as she said, "Why of course they wouldn't. FOR NO ONE CAN TRULY APPRECIATE THE GLORY OF MELON BREAD LIKE THE GREAT ARCH DEMON SATANIA DAH HA HA!"
Pinkie simply smiled and joined in on her, admittedly over the top, laughter as they walked.
