BBBFF Apology

Life in the Crystal Empire had never been better, thanks to Twilight and Spike’s courageous actions. Now, peace has been fully restored, and  all of the crystal empire’s inhabitants are finally at rest. As for Shining Armor, he would protect his citizens, along with his wife, Princess Cadence. However, there was still a dab of regret he has felt towards his sister, Twilight. Of course, she saved the crystal ponies, but he figured that an apology from himself was in order and overdue. He just didn’t had time during the actual wedding when he went home.
Then again, he just might have a chance.

As both Twilight and Armor were walking down the street, they’re heading to the train station.

“So…today was really something, right?” Shining Armor turned to Twilight.

“Yeah. We saved the Crystal Empire. And just like Ponyville and Canterlot, everypony feels happy.” Twilight replied. They walked past two grown ponies taking care of their filly.

“Just look at this. Really great that these ponies can feel happy in the inside unlike what they were when I got here.” Twilight smiled watching the filly.

Shining Armor saw how Twilight changed over the years. He barely got time to know her more back in Canterlot due to the wedding chaos, and the fact he wants to make his citizens grateful once he got back.

“Twilight.” He responded with a bit of gilt on his face.

“Yes?” Twilight turned her head around, raising her eyebrow.

“I want to apologize on how I acted towards and not believing you back in Canterlot.”

“You mean about the wedding almost turning into a disaster?”

“Yes.” Then from behind, Spike came rushing up towards the ponies since he falled asleep after they won the battle.

“Coming through! Sorry but I’m almost late Twilight!” He panted hard but just before he continued running, Shining Armor uses his unicorn magic to lift Spike back. “Hey!? What are you doing?”

“Spike I think you should wait, because you have enough time and I want you to be in the conversation.” Once Shining put him down, Spike become confused.

“What is the conversation exactly?”

“It’s about the wedding from Canterlot.”

Twilight’s friends told Spike that they apologize to their best friend and Spike wasn’t with in the conversation because he was burned out and tired from the fun he had in the party. He was regretful and he didn’t know what was the right time to apologize and right now, he knows it’s the right time.

“Twilight, I’m sorry that I didn’t believe you back then.”

“Don’t mention it, Spike. I mean, everypony felt the same way.” Twilight said nicely. She already knew what it was like to receive an apology after she was right about the wedding. It was less than a minute until her friends left her when she saw that Princess Cadence was Chrysalis in disguise.

“But, Twilight. You don’t understand how sad we were when you told the truth.” Shining exclaimed. He put his hoof on Twilight’s shoulder to show more of his remorse.

“The Queen was too smart to fool us, and almost you. And even if she made Cadence really stressed out to the point the wedding wasn’t going well, even I didn’t tolerate her behavior.”

“Yeah,” Twilight said. “I felt half broken inside when Cadence acted that way out of the blue. I guess I was too relieved to even handle an apology after I saved the wedding.”

Twilight took her time to think about the what could of been future if she failed. Of course, all of the ponies in Equestria would of been slaves to the Changeling army, and the Changelings could rule soon enough. In fact, she would never know what she could do, or could’ve done, if she ran away for her own life. She told herself that maybe the apology wasn’t worth the wait.

It wasn’t long before Princess Cadence saw what was going on with Twilight as she was about to say goodbye to her sister in law. “Some kind of conversation going on?”

“More like a big misunderstanding, maybe.” Spike commented. “We were just talking about the wedding you and Shining Armor had.”

“And you were talking about the fact that I wasn’t really with you all that time?” she looked at he husband and Twilight which they both nodded.

“And also that fact that the Queen of the Changelings tricked all of us.” Shining reminded.

During this point in the conversation, everyone paused in silence. To them, an apology to Twilight wasn’t enough, and yet and they feel depressed that it was too late. It was until Princess Cadence has something in mind about this whole thing.

“It’s okay...” She responded, which broke the silence immediately.

“What do you mean by that?” Spike asked.

“We were all in the wrong in this entire pepeared wedding. If I was the real Cadence this whole time, we would’ve had so much quality time together.”

Cadence then trotted up to Twilight with her hoof under her chin. “Even if you’re in the right this whole time, you still deserve an apology. One of your friends not only threw a party just for you to show their appreciation, but they also showed how much they care about you. And as for Princess Celestia, you know your heart was warm when she always makes you feel better and she never tries hard to.”

Twilight then drew light tears from her eyes. Indeed, she remembered how disappointed her favorite idol was. And thanks to her, she knows that Twilight Sparkle would always be the best student she ever had, especially on how well she did on her test.

“You know, Twilight,” Spike happily chimed in. “I only sided with Shining Armor because I thought I was doing the right thing. But you’re in the right for sure. I’m really sorry! We will do our best to never betray you.”

He then began to hug her with tears down his face.

“I know you won’t, my number one dragon.” Twilight replied. She has never said that to Spike ever since he was born, and it will be a quote Spike will never forget in his life.

“You know Twilight, if you ever had the chance to come visit with us, we should give you more respect than last time.” Shining Armor rung, adoring the bond between Spike and Twilight.

“And to make our family the best you ever had, we can try to get a baby if we make it work.” Cadence added.

“Really? You would do that for me?” Twilight sobbed happily.

“Of course.” They all than formed a group hug. Soon after that, they went back to the train station and bidded farewell. As for Twilight, she learned that the more her friends care about her, the more they will believe in her, which was something she should’ve knew back at the wedding in Canterlot.
