Chapter 1: Delivery

It was a beautiful night, with no clouds to be seen, leaving the sky to be dark navy blue. With the shiny moon visable for all to see. On this perfect summer night, Pinkie Pie invited her friends to her house for a sleepover. The Cakes, along with their kids, were gone for the night and decided to let Pinkie Pie to have a sleepover.

So far for six, it had been a blast. Pinkie and her friends enjoyed eating snacks and playing classic slumber party games. Nothing all that extrodinary. Just jumping around to Sapphire Shores music while chatting about exciting things in their lives. But right at this moment, they struggled in a game of Twisty Turn. The six were bundeled up into a large knot on the mat, they tried their best to not fall down and lose.

"Come on, Dashie." Pinkie Pie urged Rainbow Dash. "You can do it! Left hoof on red." Rainbow Dash found her hoof under Applejack's belly and placed it down on the red. The cyan pony panted with relief. There was a knock on the door.

"I'M COOOOMMMIIIINNNGGG!" Pinkie excitedly sang as she bounced out of the knot, not caring about her friends collapsing onto the mat. The other five ponies glared at her in annoyance. She opened the door and saw nopony there.

"Huh?" Pinkie Pie was confused. Her mind finally made a bit of sense when she spotted a truck leaving the front of her house. It was the mail delivery truck. That meant it was dropping something off for the Cakes. But when Pinkie glanced down, she saw a regular sized box. It was addressed to Pinkie Pie and said 'slightly fragile'. Maybe it was a gift from a relative or somebody else!

"Oooo! Special delivery!" She squealed as she heaved the box onto her back. The pink pony skipped back to her friends who were still splattered all over the ground. Twilight Sparkle was the first to get up, she was out of the five to see the box. She had a suspicious frown on her face when she noticed something strange.

"Uh, Pinkie Pie," She said. "Aren't you a bit... worried about this?" Her comment made Pinkie only chuckle, no matter how afraid Twilight sounded.

"Don't be silly. What's wrong with a special delivery?" She placed the box on the table, but Twilight was shaking her head in denial.

"Just look at this," Twilight pointed her hoof towards the box. "There's no return label, how are you going to know who it's from? And that address label was written instead of printed. Not to mention that either the pony who written it had sloppy writing skills or they meant to make it look eerie. It was also written in red ink.

"That's what makes it a surprise, doesn't it? You don't need to get all worked up." Pinkie continued to giggle. The other four friends gathered around the table with Pinkie and Twilight, all four of them had copies of Twilight's face.

"Are you honestly thinking that there's something wrong with this?" Pinkie Pie suddenly turned serious, but just went back to hysterical laughter. "Girls, can't you see that this is just a package? Maybe the silly sender forgot about their part of the label. Maybe they ran out of ink, too?" Of course, the her friends still disagreed. She frowned.

"I don't know, Pinkie..." Rainbow Dash shook her head while she started to hover over the table. Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack shook their heads and murmured agreements.

"Not everypony can have good writing, you know!" She groaned.

"But please listen to us--." Rarity tried to speak up, but Pinkie growled.

"I'm opening it!" She huffed before tearing the tape off the box. After slowly lifting the flaps and taking a peek, she bursted out laughing once again.

"You guys are truly think this is scary?!" She started rolling on the floor, which gave a chance to let the others take a peek in the box. All there that sat in the box was a game console, a case, and... an envelope? Twilight grasped it in her mouth and went over to where Pinkie was having her laugh attack. She poked Pinkie Pie know that she had something for her, and she calmed down her laughing.

"What's this?" Pinkie asked grabbing the note and tearing it open. Her face eventually turned into a terrifyed frown. She must have been reading it because it looked like it was scaring her. So scared that her mane almost deflated like when she had that identity crisis.

"What is it?" Twilight asked, she levitated the note out of Pinkie's grasp and began reading quickly. She only had a poker face on after reading it.

"Wat duz it say?" Applejack asked. Twilight cleared her throat to read it aloud.

"'Pinkie Pie, you're the next one to be tagged to do the curse of the Tails Doll with the game. Beware. Don't look behind you when you play the game and unlock it.'" After reading, it was Twilight's turn to be laughing hard. Rolling on the floor and everything, but her friends still had faces of fainted goats.

"That's the most stupid thing I've ever heard." Twilight's eyes were even watering from her laughter. "How can that be possible?"

"B-But Twilight..." Fluttershy struggled to speak up over Twilight. "What if something bad were to really happen?" Somehow, Twi managed to hear her.

"Oh, Fluttershy," Twilight's laughter finally died down. "There's nothing to be afraid of. I mean, seriously, what could happen?"

"What is this 'Tails Doll' thing anyway?" Rainbow Dash spat.

"I don't know," Twilight shrugged. "I never heard of such thing, anyway. Not in my time of studying."

"I doubt anybody here has heard of it." Rarity rolled her eyes. There was a dead silence in not knowing what to do next. Should they call the authorities and report it? It could be a prank.

"Let's play the game." Twilight insisted. "We'll figure out if this thing is real or if it's a hoax. I'm quite sure it's a hoax." She levitated the console and game out of the box, the plugging the console in.

"I don't think that's such a good idea," Pinkie Pie said. "How about we play it later? Like in the morning?"

"No," Twilight argued. "I want to prove this thing is fake once and for all."
