Godzilla: Domination

Chapter 2

Fluttershy softly hummed a tune as she handed out chicken feed to the hens strutting around her hooves. She nearly burst out laughing when one of the hens rubbed itself on her foreleg in a effort to goad the pegasus to give out extra food. The hens getting all cutesie on Fluttershy was one of the better parts of her morning. And it shows how intelligent her chickens are. About an half hour in, Fluttershy finished feeding the rest of her animals and trotted back inside her cottage. Exhaling a slightly forced breath, Fluttershy tiredly sat down on a wooden rocking chair. She ran her hooves down the smooth muddy-brown handles of the chair, countless memories flowing through her mind. A bittersweet smile creeped up on her face as she sat back in the chair. She had used this rocking chair to calm down a much younger and smaller Godzilla whenever he got too cranky. Fluttershy softly chuckled to herself as she began recollecting those moments.

-He would always fall asleep in my arms whenever I’d cradle him in my chair.- Fluttershy thought to herself. She let out another sigh as she reached out and took a portrait from the little table next to the rocking chair. The picture itself showed Fluttershy holding a infant Godzilla that had his big golden eyes locked on hundreds of butterflies flying over their heads. It was the very first time Godzilla had witnessed the Great Butterfly Migration. Fluttershy placed the picture back on the table, getting up. Now that Godzilla is far too large to live with her in the cottage, Fluttershy’s only companion was Angel. Or at least he was up until he sadly passed away from old age just ten months ago.

At this point, Fluttershy was alone in her cottage with no infants or grumpy rabbits to care for. The pegasus can still vividly picture the day Godzilla had came into this world. It truly felt like he was born only yesterday. Fluttershy opened a window and leaned on the window frame, watching a couple of sparrows fly by. She took notice of the feint outline of the beach just miles away. She doesn’t travel to the beach often unless it’s to spend a day with the other six or pay a visit to Godzilla. Though given the fact Fluttershy had finished her morning chores and is currently looking for a way to stave off the loneliness, there isn’t many options aside from paying Godzilla a visit. Fluttershy closed her windows and trotted out of the front door, unfolding her wings and taking off into the sky.

“Ack! Easy, Twilight! My cuts are still fresh!” Rarity yelped while Twilight began pressing large silky bandages plastered with medicinal ointment to help close the numerous cuts the white unicorn received from tangling with the Roc.

“I’m sorry, Rarity. I have to push the bandages in your wounds in order for the ointment to work.” Twilight said. Spike and Pinkie had been spending their time exploring the beach while searching for seashells hidden beneath the rough sand. Pinkie dug up several large holes with the speed of a crazed hummingbird, flinging a handful of conch shells and piling them up in a huge pile.

“Look at all these shells I found! Now we can stay up all night and listen to the ocean in each one of them!” Pinkie said with a giant smile on her face.

“Jeez, that’s a lot of shells.” Spike said, scratching the back of his head. In the corner of his eye, Spike had spotted Fluttershy landing just a few feet from the group.

“Oh my goodness, what happened!?” Fluttershy gasped as she ran towards Rarity, immediately looking over the gashes in her sides.

"It's nothing to worry about, darling! I, uh, got in a bit of a disagreement with Opalescence this morning..." Rarity lied as she smiled through her pain.

"Opalescence's claws are not large or even sharp enough to do this amount of damage, Rarity." Fluttershy replied as she helped Twilight apply ointment on the more larger gashes. The pegasus swore she heard Rarity mumble something about "Fluttershy and her animal knowledge" under her breath as she worked on the wounds.

"Well.... We were ambushed by a Roc while hiking today..." Twilight confessed. "But thankfully we had help in... driving off the Roc."

"Help?"

As if on cue, the water began to ripple wildly as the Main 6 glanced at the ocean to see Godzilla's dorsal spine's shoot out from the water at blazing speeds. Within moments, Godzilla made landfall on the beach, dropping the Roc's corpse on the sand before taking a glance at the seven comparatively tiny multi-colored creatures looking at him.

"Uh... surprise?" Spike almost sheepishly said. Godzilla opened his jaws in a short yawn before taking interest in the giant dead bird in front of him, busying himself in ripping into the carcass and hungrily scarfing down huge chunks of flesh and feathers.

"So, that's the Roc that attacked you?" Fluttershy asked. Rarity simply nodded.

"Indeed, Fluttershy. I'm just thankful that Godzilla was coincidentally in the area when that beastly avian tried to make a meal out of me and, well, the rest of us. If it weren't for his timely arrival, we'd all be bird food by now." Rarity said. Fluttershy watched as her adopted "son" of sorts scarfed down his kill. The pegasus gazed her eyes on the gruesome scars on the saurian's gills and snout that had remained long after his brutal fight with Ghidorah. After nearly thirty minutes, Godzilla had reduced the Roc's carcass to nothing but bloodied bones and bits of feathers. Licking his blood-smeared snout, Godzilla let out a deep guttural grumble before half-submerging himself into the water. He acknowledged Fluttershy with a soft grunt as she landed on his snout and proceeded to gently run her hoof down his nostrils.

"Hey, Fluttershy, we're going finish up at Rarity's house. You coming?" Twilight asked.

"I'll catch up with you girls later. I want to stay with Godzilla for a while." Fluttershy replied. Twilight smiled as she nodded and led the rest of the group out of the beach. Fluttershy turned her gaze down to Godzilla's golden eyes, leaning back on his forehead.

"We have some catching up to do, big guy."
