In the left one was a purple wolf girl wearing a black fur dress and an amber mask above a stylized one and in the right one was a yellow and black tiger girl wearing a golden mask with an emerald on the left side of her face above a stylized five.

“ Now I can Pendulum Summon Lunalight Monsters between the levels of two through four all at the same time so behold my Lunalight Crimson Fox and Lunalight Blue Cat. A pink portal opened up above Sonata and out of it came a pink fox girl wearing a short dress with crimson colored hair and a fox tail of the same color and a gold half mask covering the left side of her face and a light blue catgirl wearing a similar outfit and a golden half mask covering the right side of her face both of which looked like they were ready to pounce on Lyra.

Blue Cat began to glow with a blue aura as Crimson Fox began to feel her friends power pour into her.

A pair of gold gauntlets with the Lunalight emblem engraved into them and a set of razor sharp gold daggers which are meant to act like the claws of a wild animal materialized onto Crimson fox and she was ready to fight.
“ Now that my foxy friend is ready to play time to battle Crimson Fox why don,t you give Zelda the hook or should I say claw. Crimson Fox ran like red lightning and leaped into the air while doing a summersault and then raked her golden claws right across Zelda causing her to scream before glowing and caused Lyra’s runner to emit smoke.

“ Not this time Heartstrings because when a monster equipped with Lunalight Dimension Claws destroys a monster in battle that monster is banished instead of going to the GY so this was Zelda’s final performance. Zelda began to fade until there was no longer any trace of her left.

“ Lightning please be careful because I can tell Sonata is up to something and those monsters of hers are just the warm-up act,” Lyra said as she passed the baton to Lightning.
“ You mean her Fusion Monsters right I remember how annoying they were but I got this,” Lightning said before taking off. As Lightning entered the fray the Mc introduced her.
“ And now Ladies and Gentlemen taking the second leg for Team Silver Wing is the queen of the skies Lightning Dust,” The Mc shouted as Lightning drew her opening hand.

“ My turn I draw,” Lightning said as she drew her sixth card. Despite having a 4000 attack beat stick in play Lightning remembered that Crimson Fox had an effect that would leave her at a disadvantage if she was not careful. Lightning noticed she did not have much to work with but still acted.
“ First I activate the Quick-Play Spell Twin Twisters by discarding a card from my hand I can destroy up to two Spells or Traps on the field so I discard this and destroy your temple and Lunalight Dimension Claws. A pair was tornados flew out of Lightning’s card and demolished the temple Aria left behind along with Sonata’s Equip Spell. Sonata did not look fazed by this development, in fact, she looked glad to see those particular cards destroyed.
“ Big mistake meanie you see there was one last effect my sister forgot to mention about her Field Spell when it leaves the field all Fire Formation cards are bounced back into their controller’s hand and by the rules of this tournament since Ari is no longer dueling and her cards are now mine that makes me the cardholder so they go back to my hand. All four Fire Formations turned into light blue lights before returning to Sonata’s hand.

“ And there is another effect you triggered when Lunalight Dimension Claws leaves the field I can pay 500 Life Points to place it at the top of my deck so I will do just that. A yellow aura surrounded Sonata as she paid for her spell’s cost and Dimension Claws slid out of her GY and was placed on top of her Deck.

“ Oh and just so you know since Gyokkou is now in your hand the set card Lyra left behind is now freed so now I will activate it. Lightning crossed her fingers and hoped Lyra left something good for her behind. The card flipped face-up and revealed to be the Trap Melodious Rhythm Buster.
“ Awesome she left me with Melodious Rhythm Buster while I control a Melodious Fusion or Synchro monster I can destroy all Spells and Traps on the field and draw one card for each card destroyed by this effect. Leafa sang and created a shockwave of music that destroyed both of the Spells Lyra left behind and Sonata’s Scales before Lightning drew four cards.
“ Next since I control at Least one Blackwing Monster I can Special Summon Blackwing - Sakura the Spring Bloom from my hand. A pink peacock bird women wearing a kimono of a darker shade of pink landed elegantly on the field next to Basinse and fanned herself.

“ Oh no not that one that's the monster that beat me and lost me my rarest card,” Sonata said while panicking slightly until she heard Adagio speak through the mic in her helmet.
“ Calm down Sonata she may have beaten you with that the last time but this time you have a chance to win and it's coming up right about now. Sonata looked ahead and saw what her sister meant. There was a clutch Action Card ahead and Sonata used the speed booster she drove over to slingshot herself at it before Lightning could grab it and snatched it. Sonata looked at it and decided to hold on to it for now.
“ You may have been successful in getting that Action Card but I’m sure you remember what Shusui does and in case you forgotten here is a litter refresher first when he is successfully Synchro Summoned all monsters on your side of the field have their effects negated until the end phase but that's only the beginning when he battles he gains half the attack points of the monster he attacks until the end of the turn. All of Sonata’s monsters were covered in orange flames indicating their effects were negated.
“ I enter my Battle Phase and will have my Shusui attack Crimson Fox with Flame Vacuum Slash. Shusui drew his sword and sent a slash of burning air flying towards Crimson Fox until Sonata activated the Action Card she picked up earlier.
“ I activate the Action Spell Truce not only does this end the Battle Phase but we both gain 500 Life Points. Shusui sheathed his sword and the flames dissipated and both Lightning and Sonata gained points.

“ I set three cards Face-Down and end my turn,” Lightning said as three set cards appeared behind Shusui.
“ My turn I draw,’ Sonata said as she drew her sixth card. Sonata wasted no time in bringing back the Fire Formations that were sent back to her hand.
“ First I activate Fire Formation - Tenki as you may remember when this card is activated I can add a Level four or below Beast-Warrior type monster from my Deck to my hand and I think I will add Lunalight Black Sheep to my hand. A card slid out of Sonata’s deck and she added it to her hand.

“ Next up is Fire Formation - Tensu now I can Normal Summon A Beast-Warrior type monster one addition time but I will get to that later.

“ Now it's time for Fire Formation - Gyokkou and as long as this spell is in play you can't activate the set card in the center. Gyokkou sent a beam of light at the declared card setting it on fire thus indicating it could not be used.

“ I'm sure you can guess what this next card is based on my pattern,” Sonata said as a set card appeared next to Gyokkou. Lightning knew that it was Fire Formation - Kaiyo and that if she allowed Sonata to use it hiding in defense mode would not keep her Life Points safe.
“ Before you even think of destroying the card I activate my Field Spell Infinity Sanctuary. The field transformed into a silver courtyard with a mighty statue of a strong hero in the center. As long as this card is in play all Continuous Spells and Traps I control cannot be targeted or destroyed by Card Effects. Lightning felt annoyed by the fact that so far the Dazzlings have gone to such lengths to protect four simple cards.
“ Now that everything's in place time to activate Black Sheep’s effect by discarding it I can add Polymerization to my hand. A card stuck out of Sonata’s deck and she added it to her hand.
“ Now I will activate Polymerization fusing Lunalight Crimson Fox and Lunalight Blue Cat into a monster that will end this fast. Crimson Fox and Blue Cat raised into the vortex and began to fuse together.
“ Instincts of a fluffy huntress combine with the reflexes of a wild predator and become of unstoppable force! Fusion Summon! Pounce! Level seven! Lunalight Cat Dancer! A Purple cat women wearing a very revealing harem outfit and a gold mask with a purple headdress began jiggling her breasts while dancing before preparing to strike.

“ Since Crimson Fox was sent to the GY her effect activates now Shusui loses all of his attack points until the end of the turn. A crimson flame surrounded Shusui until he slashed it and extinguished it.
“ How is your monster able to resist that effect?” Sonata asked frantically.
“ Simple since I used Blackwing - Sakura the Spring Bloom as Synchro Material Shusui is unaffected by any monster effects other than his own. Sonata thought she was done for until she saw an Action Card up ahead and grabbed it then wasted no time in activating it.
“ I activate the Action Spell Draw Dice I'm sure you already know what this does it allows me to roll a die and I draw cars equal to the result now let's roll. A blue die appeared in Sonata’s hand and she threw it and watched it bounce around until it landed on three.
“ Looks like I can draw three cards. Sonata drew her three cards and looked pleased with what she drew.
“ Now on to my first Normal Summon I Summon Lunalight White Rabbit in attack mode. A white rabbit girl wearing an Arabian outfit and a long white veil wielding a hammer of the same color leaped onto the field ready to fight.

“ As you may remember when Blue Cat is Special Summoned she doubles the Attack points of another Lunalight Monster I Control so my Cat Dancer gains another 2400 attack points. Cat Dancer began to power up awaiting Sonata’s command.

“ Now that my Cat Dancer is powered up time to activate her effect by tributing another Lunalight monster she can attack all of your monsters twice each sure the first strike may not destroy them but the second one will and for each successful attack you take 100 points of damage so say goodbye to my White Rabbit and say hello to a world of hurt. White Rabbit vanished and Cat Dancer pulled out her daggers ready to fight.
“ Time to Battle Cat Dancer attack Shusui the Autumn Blaze. Cat Dancer threw her daggers at Shusui only for him to deflect them with his sword but Lightning, on the other hand, ended up taking the damage from the battle.

“ Your monster may have survived the attack but Cat Dancer inflicts another 100 points of damage since her attack was successful. Lightning felt more pain from the attack as Sonata pointed the effect out.

“ Now for attack number two on Shusui go Full Moon Mayhem. Cat Dancer slowly moved her arms in a circular motion before channeling energy and blasting it toward Shusui. Lightning spotted a Clutch Action Card up ahead and so did Sonata. Both Lightning and Sonata raced for it. Sonata pulled ahead and just as she was about to grab it her runner slowed down and Lightning swooped in and grabbed it.
“ Looks like I win the action card which I will activate now behold the Action Spell Reinforce since your attacking my Shusui he gains 1000 attack points. Shusui powered up while sonata did not look the slightest bit impressed.

“ Yeah well, my Cat Dancer is still stronger than Shusui so all you did was cushion the blow a little. The Beam of Light hit Shusui and Lightning felt the force of the attack. Sonata was sure her attack destroyed Shusui until Lightning drove out of the smoke with her monster intact and without a scratch on it.

“ How is Shusui still alive my last attack should have destroyed it?” Sonata asked more worried than before.
“ When Assault Blackwing - Basinse the Iron Wall is used as Synchro Material for a Blackwing or Assault Blackwing Synchro Monster that monster cannot be destroyed by Battle but don,t worry your attack still nailed me and I already know what’s next. As Lightning predicted Cat Dancer dealt her another 100 points of damage.

“ You may have saved your Monster but I'm still free to attack your partner’s monster so Cat Dancer attack Leafa the Melodious Countess. Cat Dancer threw her daggers at Leafa only for Lightning to respond to it.
“ I knew you would try that so I activate the Trap Synchro Fusion Tag Out,” Lightning said as a trap with an image of (Elemental Hero Tempest) tagging in (Colossal Fighter) in the corner of a wrestling ring flipped face-up. When a Fusion Monster I Control is targeted for an attack I can banish that monster and Special Summon a Synchro Monster whose level is equal or less than the banished monsters from my Extra Deck, however, I will take 200 points of damage times the summoned monster’s level so I Banish Leafa and from my Extra Deck I Special Summon Black-Winged Dragon. Leafa bowed gracefully before vanishing and suddenly a black feathered dragon with red and black wings appeared right where Leafa was standing.

“ very cool monster but like you just said your trap deals you damage and now you must take it,” Sonata pointed out thinking she was going to win.
“ Actually no I don't because my dragon has an effect called Damage Drain and how it works is whenever I would take effect damage I can place a black Feather Counter on this card instead, however, my dragon loses 700 attack points for each counter he has. Lightning’s trap sent out a beam of light from around Black-Winged Dragon only for it to be absorbed and swallowed by the dragon which caused the lower section of his wings to light up.

“ Oh and before you try to say you can still attack you can't because my Trap also ends the Battle Phase. Sonata was not too pleased to hear that and looked annoyed.

“ My turn I draw,” Lightning said as she drew her fourth card. Lightning needed a way to get rid of Sonata’s back row but with her sanctuary in play, she could not touch it. Just as Lightning was about to do something Sonata interrupted her train of thought.
“ Before you decide to do anything I activate my Fire Formation - Kaiyo and I'm sure you remember not only do my Beast-Warrior Type Monsters gain 300 attack points they also gain the ability to inflict piercing damage. Cat Dancer looked like she was getting stronger.

“ Like that will make a difference now back to my move so first I will activate the Continuous Spell Black Whirlwind now when I Normal Summon a Blackwing Monster I add another Blackwing monster with fewer attack points from my deck to my hand. Sonata was looking nervous after hearing about Lightning’s spell card and suddenly realized what she was planning.
“ Next I activate the Spell Dark Eruption this spell lets me add a DARK attribute monster with 1500 attack or less from my GY to my hand and who better than my Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North. Lightning added her declared target back to her hand.
“ Next I Summon Blizzard the Far North. Blizzard flew back onto the field and pecked at the ground to use its effect.

“ Since Breeze the Zephyr was added to my hand it is automatically Special Summoned to my field. A tornado appeared on Lightning’s Field and out of it came a orange and yellow bird that took an offensive stance.

“ As much as I would like to take that Cat Dancer of yours down a peg I have something else in mind because Pyrorex is the one who will lose 800 Attack. Pyrorex suddenly was covered in a dark aura as its power began to drain.

“ Now it's time to Battle Nothung attack Pyrorex with Sacred Thunder Slash. Nothung took to the skies and unleashed a bolt of Lightning from his sword and sent it falling toward Pyrorex thus destroying it.

“ Now that I got rid of Pyrorex you must skip your Battle Phase during your turn but I’m not giving you another turn because I'm ending this here and now Shusui attack Cat Dancer with Flame Vacuum Slash and just so you know Shusui now gains half of your dancer’s attack points so this one will hurt more. The Vacuum slash grew bigger as shusui grew stronger.

As the Slash came closer to Cat Dancer Sonata saw an Action Card above her and reached for it. Sonata felt relieved to see she pulled exactly what she needed literally out of thin air.
“ Looks like I'm not going anywhere because I activate the Action Spell Evasion so my Cat Dancer is going to sashay around your flame. Cat Dancer spun elegantly and leaned back like a ballroom dancer while Lightning’s attack went passed her and missed.
“ So you live to see another turn too bad I stopped you from conducting your Battle Phase so there is nothing you can do to me so I will end my turn and now Shusui’s attack points return to normal.,” Lightning said as she and Sonata reached the corner and turned.
5000 - 1500 = 3500
“ My turn I draw,” Sonata said as she drew her fourth card. Sonata needed something to keep her safe until her next turn and saw she drew a possible game changer.
“ First I Activate the Spell Fusion Recovery this allows me to bring Polymerization and Crimson Fox back to my hand. Both cards slid out of Sonata’s GY and she added them to her hand.
“ Now I Activate Polymerization again this time fusing my Blue Cat with my Cat Dancer to summon a kitty that is even more vicious. Blue Cat and Cat Dancer began to rise into the vortex and began to fuse.
“ Reflexes of a mighty predator combine with the elegance and grace of a majestic feline and evolve into a even greater beast of fury! Fusion Summon! Growl! Level eight! Lunalight Panther Dancer!
A black women wearing a very sexy blue fur outfit that made her look more like a panther with two golden blades on her arms spun around and then made a very seductive pose.

“ As much as I would like to unleash my Panther’s claws on you my Battle Phase is skipped so I will just activate the Spell Lunalight Pendulum Dance,” Sonata said as a spell with an image of Lunalight Wolf and Lunalight Tiger dancing in the moonlight of a full moon appeared. This allows me to add two Lunalight Pendulum monsters that are either in my GY or face-up in my Extra Deck back to my hand so I will add the Lunalight Tiger and Lunalight Wolf that are face-up in my Extra Deck back to my hand. Sonata’s extra deck slot opened and out of it came the cards she selected which went back to her hand.
“ Now I reset my Pendulum Scale with Scale one Lunalight Wolf and Scale five Lunalight Tiger. Lunalight Wolf re-appeared above a stylized one and Lunalight Tiger appeared above a stylized five.

“ With that, I will end my turn with a face-down,” Sonata said as a set card appeared behind Panther Dancer.
“ My turn I draw,” Lightning said as she drew her third card. Lightning felt like she was up a creek against Sonata’s back row until she saw what she needed and saw her strategy manifest in her mind.
“ First I activate the Spell Black Hurricane Sweep,” Lightning said as a spell with an image of Gale the Whirlwind along with some of her fellow flock whipping up a bunch of black violent winds sweeping up some set cards appeared. This card allows me to destroy all Spell and Trap cards on your side of the field. Some violent winds began to blow at Sonata until she made her move while enduring the wind.
“ Not so fast I activate the Continuous Trap Pendulum Insurance this card protects my Pendulum Scales from destruction and now that its face up my Sanctuary protects it from destruction too.
“ Yeah well then what is protecting the Sanctuary itself from destruction,” Lightning said and then smirked as the violent winds from Lightning’s spell card began to tear the place apart and returned the field back to the track they were racing on.
“ Nice try but my Scales and back row are still safe so much for your counter-attack,” Lightning said tauntingly until she noticed Lightning still smiling.
“ Actually I have you right where I want you now because without your Field Spell your cards are now wide open so now I activate the Spell Reckless Destruction,” Lightning said as a spell with an image of an angry swordsman slashing up his own fleet of battleships in an attempt to kill his opponent appeared. This card allows me to destroy all your Spells and Traps however I will take 400 points of damage for card destroyed by this effect. A barrage of slashes came out of Lightning’s spell card as each one slashed apart each of the Fire Formation Cards along with Pendulum Insurance and Lightning’s scales. All the damage caused by Reckless Destruction was heading towards Lightning until Black-Winged Dragon moved in front of her and absorbed all the damage and caused all of the feathers on the lower section of his wings to glow.

Now that I have your back row cleared time for finally end this Shusui attack Panther Dancer with Flame Vacuum Slash. Shusui sent his flaming slash flying towards Panther Dancer until Sonata pulled a card from her hand.
“ My Panther is going nowhere because when a Lunalight Fusion Monster I control is targeted for an attack I can Special Summon Lunalight Green Hawk from my hand to end the Battle Phase. A green girl wearing a turquoise feathered dress with a small feathered tail and sharp eyes with a gold half mask covering her face flew in front of the fire and whipped up a strong gust of wind to repel the fire and landed next to Panther Dancer.

“ My turn I draw,” Sonata said as she drew her second card. Sonata felt like she needed to bring out her big guns since now that her sister’s cards are gone she needed to fight with her own strength. She looked at her hand and saw nothing that could help until she saw what she drew.
“ First I activate the Spell Card of Burial Magic by banishing three spell cards from my GY I can draw two cards. Sonata banished Tenki, Tensu, and Gyokkou from her GY and drew her two cards. Sonata really smiled after seeing what she drew.
“ If you thought my Panther Dancer was fierce your really going to fear what I have next because I activate Another Polymerization fusing the Purple Butterfly in my hand with the Green Hawk and Panther Dancer on my Field. Panther Dancer and Green Hawk rose into the air and Purple Butterfly appeared on the other side of Panther Dancer.

Leo Dancer attack Breeze the Zephyr. Leo Dancer drew her sword and charged at Zephyr like a lion on the hunt. Sonata was sure her attack would work until Lightning activated her set card.
“ My platoon is not going anywhere because I activate the Continuous Trap Hurricane Wall,” Lightning said as a trap with an image of a category five hurricane repelling an army flipped face up and summoned forth a category five tornado around Lightning and her monsters. As long as this card is in play your not allowed to attack any of my Winged-Beast type monsters however I must pay 500 Life Points during my Standby Phase or destroy this card. Leo Dancer tried to fight her way through the wall of wind but was sucked in and flung back to Sonata’s side of the field. Sonata was worried now because with her turn about to end Lightning was well prepared to wipe her out.
“ That's it I'm all out of moves so go ahead and finish me off but when Dagi takes the stage your so going to get it,” Sonata said awaiting the final blow to come.
“ My turn I draw,” Lightning said as she drew her card. Lightning was ready to deliver the final blow but first, she had two things she needed to do.
“ First I pay 500 Life Points to keep Hurricane Wall in play. A gold aura surrounded Lightning as she paid for Hurricane Wall.

“ Next I Summon Blackwing - Kasai the Black Flame in attack mode. Kasai landed next to Zephyr on his black whirlwind and took an offensive stance.

“ Now Black Whirlwind activates and allows me to add a Blackwing monster with less than 1200 attack points from my deck to my hand so I will add Blackwing - Ghibli the Searing Wind to my hand. Lightning added the declared card to her hand and proceeded to her next move.
“ Now I Tune my Level three Zephyr with my Level four Kasai to Synchro Summon the monster that will end this duel. Zephyr flew into the air and turned into three stars and then three green rings which encircled Kasai and turned him into four stars that fell into alignment.

“ This is the monster that will end this duel because Chidori gains 300 attack points for each of his fellow Blackwings that rest in my GY and by my count that's five so he gains 1500 attack points. Chidori the Rain Sprinkling powered up as an Action Card came up.

Lightning grabbed the Action Card and smiled after seeing what she grabbed. She wasted no time in activating it.
“ Time to end this Chidori the Rain Sprinkling attack Leo Dancer with Lightning Sword Strike and as an added buff I activate the Action Spell Double Attack this card doubles Chidori’s attack points during the Battle Phase. Chidori began to grow stronger as he flew faster.

“ 8200 attack points? Now I'm am most certainly screwed,” Sonata said as the memory of her and Lightning’s first encounter flashed before her.
“ That’s right and I'm going to use every last one of them to wipe you out,” Lightning said as Chidori brought down his sword and caused Leo Dancer to scream in pain before exploding and draining the rest of Sonata’s Life Points causing her runner to emit smoke.

Sonata drove back to her team's pit and pulled up next to Adagio who looked a bit upset that Sonata lost and the odds of Silver taking the stage looked slim.
“ Sorry I could not defeat her again Dagi and I'm more sorry she destroyed our team combo,” Sonata said while looking very sincere.
“ Just take your seat next to Aria and let me handle this I'm not losing my voice forever because of your blunders,” Adagio said as Sonata passed the baton to her before taking off. Sonata looked both sad and scared. Aria reluctantly tried to comfort her while whispering her and Adagio secret plan in her ear. Sonata suddenly perked up after hearing there may be a chance their voices would remain safe.
As Adagio drove onto the track the Mc started her introduction.
“ And now Ladies and Gentlemen taking the final leg for Team Dazzlings is the always sparkling Adagio Dazzle,” The Mc said as the crowd cheered loudly.
Meanwhile back at Sci-Twi’s House Sunset and the others were very amazed by Lightning’s board and her amazing finish.
“ First Lyra stepped up her game and now Lightning stepped up hers if Silver does the same then we may already know who will be representing our country this year,” Rainbow Dash said in sheer awe.
“ I know right when Silver first assembled his team they were off to a rocky start and now they are in the final match for the second part of the selection circuit,” Sunset replied just as excitedly.
“ Let's just hope they can keep this momentum going because I have a nagging feeling they will be facing some extremely strong opponents at the end of the road,” Sci-Twi added.
Sunset and the others returned to watching the match as Pinkie returned with more snacks and drinks. Sunset asked the others if they wanted to come with her to see the final match in person should Silver and his team reach that point.everyone was on board with the plan but until then they focused on the current match and eagerly welcome them and Fluttershy home.
