Darklight Day has returned and everypony was getting ready for some spooky fun, eveypony except for Glitter Brightstar, the premiere party pony of Ponyville who had received an important message from Canterlot, before she went Glitter made sure to close her store as she and Violet would not be working today.
After teleporting to Canterlot, Glitter happily bounced her way to the castle to see what the Princesses needed from her, Glitter Brightstar was about to head in the castle but a guard stopped her.
"Oi, Glitter! Aren't ya going ta celebrate the holday today?" he said.
"I will but I need to see the Princess, she sent me a letter wanting to see me alone. I wonder she needs me to give her decorating tips!" Glitter Brightstar said.
"Alright then I'll get out your way." The guard said before he moved out of Glitter's way.
Glitter Brightstar then passes the guard but makes sure to wish him a happy Darklight Day before she forgets, she then makes her way to the throne room.
Glitter stops her bouncing once she gets to the throne room door and then walks into the throne were only Princess Eclipse Brightmoon was awake.
"Ah, I was expecting you Glitter. Come take seat..." Eclipse said.
"Ok!" Glitter cheerfully says as she goes to sit down.
"Now then we both know today is Darklight Day but I need you to do something for me." Eclipse Brightmoon said.
"What is it, a party!?" Glitter Brightstar says happily.
"No, sorry. Twiset... Can you show your true self for a few minutes." Eclipse Brightmoon said.
"I wasn't expecting you'd use my real name there Princess,but ok I will." Glitter says before disspelling her glamour spell.
"It's been so long since I've seen you like this my dear daughter..." Eclipse Brightmoon said.
"I know mother it has, why is it that you called me here?" Twiset Brightmoon said.
Twiset Brightmoon had a long flowing mane opposed to Glitter's puffy mane and had a much straighter tail. The back of her mane was in a ponytail and her cutie mark was a black star with four smaller stars surrounding them.
"Can you go trick or treating with your friends?" Princess Eclipse said.
"Like this!? But we promised to keep my true identity a secret!" Twiset Brightmoon says.
"I know but I think it's time they knew the truth my daughter." Eclipse Brightmoon said.
"If you put it that way..." Twiset says before putting on her regalia which was colored dark grey, the crown she summoned had a white gem in it.
"Oh good! I'm so happy!" Eclipse Brightmoon says cheerfully.
"Mom....." Twiset says in embarrassment.
"Sorry dear, go an enjoy your time." Eclipse Brightmoon said.
"I-i'll try mother." Twiset Brightmoon says before teleporting to Ponyville.
Eclipse Brightmoon chuckles to herself as her daughter left," I'm so proud of her..." she thought to herself.
Back in Ponyville, Dianne was currently setting up her home with decorations when an unknown Alicorn mare teleports right near her.
"Shoot, I forgot I was going to help Dianne Pie with the decorations today!" Dianne heard the pony mutter to herself, Dianne Pie decided to go see what the Alicorn was talking about and get answers as to why she knows her name.
"Hello there... Your new here aren't you, I recommend getting to a safe area before Glitter shows up..." Dianne Pie says in a monotone.
" Oh no what do i say? I must look so different to her as my real self." Twiset Brightmoon thought in a panic.
"Miss? Are you feeling alright?" Dianne asks the mare.
"I-i'm fine... My name is Twiset Brightmoon, Princess of Darkness." Twiset Brightmoon says.
"Twiset? No offense but that is a rather odd name you have. Now then have you seen my friend Glitter around? She was supposed to help me here but she has not shown up." Dianne Pie said.
"Mind if I help instead, my magic is just as good." Twiset Brightmoon says before attempting to help Dianne but said pony stops her.
"Hold on a second.... Glitter? Is that you? Because if that is your costume is incredible, I couldn't even reconize you." Dianne Pie said.
"Yeah your right it is me Prof. Pinkamena Dianne Pie, or rather the real me." Twiset Brightmoon says.
"Wait your Glitter! Your Actually Glitter! Oh my Eclipse! I do apologize for the mistake on my part for not reconizing you on first glance, how are you a Princess!?" Dianne says in shock.
"I was born like this..." Twiset says in a deadpan tone.
"Then your mother is Solar Tempest too?" Dianne said.
"No, Princess Eclipse Brightmoon is, she told me that today is when the truth of my real identity is revealed." Twiset Brightmoon said.
"I see, let us go show everyone." Dianne Pie said.
"What about your decorations?" Twiset Brightmoon said.
"Oh I'll just have Aegis put them up." Dianne Pie says as she starts to uncharacteristically bounce over to where the others are, Twiset shrugs them walks after her.
The two eventually make there way to Glitter's Sweet Treats and meet up with the others.
Prism was dressed as a bee, Quartz was dressed as robo pony, Jeweled Apple was dressed as a farmer and Flutterbold was dressed in a fancy dress,neither pony liking their choice of outfit because of a bet they lost.
When the others saw Twiset they gave her a few confused looks before Dianne told them what happened.
"And that's what happened" Dianne Pie said.
"Ain't that something darlin' Glitter's a Princess." Quartz Bell said.
"I know, right! I can not wait to make you new dresses" Jeweled Apple said.
"Ugh, is that all you think about?" Flutterbold said.
"Like you could do better you ruffian!" Jeweled Apple said.
"You wanna go glamor mare!?" Flutterbold says while on the verge of flaring up.
"Girls that's enough! I'll have no fighting in my shop!" Twiset Brightmoon said.
"Sorry Glitter..." the two mares say simultaneously.
"Alright then lets go trick or treating shall we!?" Twiset Brightmoon says cheerfully.
"Yeah!" everypony says.
And so everything went as it should be...
"Happy Darklight Day everypony!" Twiset says to the readers.
