Chapter 9

Kang the Conquer's ship, Damocles.

"The humans defeated you?" Kang asked, almost speechless with rage.

He glared down at the other versions of himself: Scarlet Centurion, who had returned from 1889, Immortus, who had returned from 2069, Rama-Tut, who had returned from the 31st century and Kangaroo the Conquer, who had returned from 1871 and Iron Lad, who was Kang before he became the Conquer.

"You were defeated by seven humans?" Kang fumed, "you should have known not to underestimate them."

"And you didn't account for them having help," Scarlet Centurion replied.

"Indeed," nodded Immortus, "my friends, we have a....."

"I do not care, for your excuses!" Kang thundered, "as far as I can see you are all worthless."

The whole room had suddenly gone deathly silent.

"Get out of my sight!" Kang ordered.

Without another word, Immortus, Rama-Tut, Kangaroo and Scarlet Centurion left the room.

Iron Lad was, now, the only one left in the room.

He was just about to leave when Kang put his hand on his shoulder.

"Between you and me," he said, "I believe there is a traitor in our midst."

"Is that so?" Iron Lad replied.

"Yes," Kang responded, "I advice you to trust no one."

Iron Lad nodded, trying to hide the fear he was feeling.

Kang then changed his tone.

"Tomorrow, my friend," he said, "a new era in earth's history will dawn, the era of Kang."

With that, Kang turned on his heel and left the room.

The Waverider, outside of space and time.

The girls were all reunited and were now explaining their experiences in the different timezones.

"Well," Rip said, as the girls finished their catch up, "the four eras are safe, whats the next move?"

"We take the fight to Kang," Rainbow Dash replied, Gwenpool agreeing with her.

"I agree with Rainbow," Applejack nodded, "I think its about time we show Kang, what for."

"We need a plan first," Twilight interjected, Sunset agreeing with her, "we can't just go in guns blazing."

"I think Twilight is right," Rarity said, "we can't just go charging in like ruffians."

"Um, what is the plan?" Fluttershy asked.

Before anyone could argue, Gideon interrupted.

"We're receiving a message," she said.

"Where from?" Rip queried.

"The source is encrypted," Gideon replied, "I'm having trouble tracing the transmission."

"Put the message on screen," Twilight said.

Shortly, a holographic screen appeared on the central console.

"Time is running out," a blurred figure said, "Kang is only hours away from complete control of the earth, you must strike before its all over, board Kang's ship, I'll meet you there, follow my lead."

With that, the message ended and the figure disappeared.

"That voice sounded familiar," Fluttershy said, as soon as the message ended.

"Your right," agreed Rarity, "thats the voice of the person who helped when we were in 1889."

"Wait," Twilight chipped in, "you had someone help you out too?"

"Yes," Rarity replied, "Why do you ask?"

"Me and Twilight also ran into someone in 2069," Sunset explained.

"You mean, you met the same person as me and Rarity?" Fluttershy asked.

"Not exactly," Twilight replied, "the person we met was male, the voice in the message was female."

"So what do we do?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well," Sunset responded, "the message said we go to Kang's ship, so I say we go."

"What if its a trap?" Gwenpool stated.

"Then bring it on," Rainbow Dash replied.

"We don't have a lot of choices, right now," Rip added.

"Then I say we go," Twilight said, "we have a lot of time to act."

Gwenpool and all the girls nodded, their rings glowing brightly, Gwenpool and Pinkie Pie readied themselves for battle.

Outside Kang the Conquer's ship.

"Ok," Rip briefed, the girls, "I'll keep the Waverider just out of range, to avoid detection."

"Meanwhile," Twilight continued, "the rest of us will sneak onboard and stop Kang."

"Good Luck," Rip said, as the girls left the Waverider.

Inside Kang the Conquer's ship.

The girls and Gwenpool crept around the many corridors of Kang's ship.

"So where do you think our mystery friend will meet us?" Gwenpool asked.

"I don't know," Twilight replied, "but we'd better find her before Kang's next move."

The group rounded another corner and there, the armoured figure from 2069 stood.

"It's you," Sunset greeted, as they approached the figure, "you're the one who helped Superman."

"I'm sorry," the figure said, as the girls rushed up to him.

"For what?" Applejack asked, confused.

Before, anyone could react the figure placed energy cuffs and power dampeners on all of them.

"Hey!" Rainbow Dash protested, "what gives?"

"Follow my lead," the figure whispered, as some of Kang's guards arrived.

"Inform Kang," the figure ordered, as they guards lead the girls and Gwenpool away, "that the ones who have interfered with his plans have been apprehended."

"Right," one of the guards said, "we'll take them to the cells."

"That will not necessary," the figure interjected, "I'll take them to the cells myself."

"But...." the guard began.

"That's an order," the figure replied, "I want to ensure that they can't interfere any further."

Without another word, the guards returned to their duties.

The figure turned to the girls, "follow me," he said.

With that, the figure led the girls and Gwenpool to the ship's cell block.

"Ok," the figure said, once they arrived at the cells, "we are clear from the surveillance monitors. Sorry about that," he apologised, as he removed the girl's and Gwenpool's restraints, "I had make it look real."

"So how are you?" Applejack asked.

"We are just people you can trust," another voice replied, as the figure from 1889 stepped out of the shadows.

"You're the one who sent the message," Twilight exclaimed.

"Seriously," Rainbow Dash cried, "who are the two are you?!"

"All you need to know is that we are on your side," the other figure responded, seemingly ignoring Rainbow Dash's question.

"We can worry about that later," Sunset said, "right now, we need to work out a plan."

"And I think I know what the first step should be," Gwenpool added.

"What?" the girls asked.

"I think that we should take a page out of Kang's book," Gwenpool answered.

"What do you mean?" Fluttershy asked, the rest of the girls sharing her confusion.

"Well," Gwenpool continued, "since Kangs been sending evil hero analogs after us, I say we do the same."

"I'm not quiet following you," Rarity commented.

"I think what Gwens getting at," Twilight said, slowly "we raise an army of our own."

"Right," Gwenpool nodded.

"Alright then," Sunset declared, "we'll split up, first team will go to where Kang's been summoning the evil heroes and gather us an army."

"The rest of us," Twilight continued, "will try to disrupt Kang's plans and then we confront Kang himself."

"Okie dokie lokie," Pinkie Pie nodded, "let's go."

"Sounds like a plan," Rainbow Dash agreed.

With that, the girls and Gwenpool spilt into two teams: Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Sunset Shimmer, Pinkie Pie and the figure from 2069 in one team.

And Rarity, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Gwenpool and the figure from 1889 in the second team.

"Alright," Rainbow Dash smiled, "let's roll."

With that, the two teams separated to complete their missions.

Kang's ship, the bridge.

"My lord," one of Kang's subordinates said.

"Report," Kang responded.

"The prisoners that were taken to the cells have escaped," the subordinate answered.

"Escaped?!" Kang replied, practically speechless.

"What are you commands, my lord?" the subordinate asked.

"Search every inch of the ship!" Kang thundered, "I want those interlopers brought to me!"

Elsewhere.

"Follow me," the figure from 2069 said, as he led the members of team one through the winding passages of Kang's ship.

Soon, the team arrived at the part of the ship where the machine Kang used to summon the evil analog heroes was located.

There were two guards outside the room where the machine was located.

With some quick strikes, Rainbow Dash and Applejack took out the guards.

"Two of you stand guard," the figure said, "while I access the time and dimensional transporter's controls."

"Right," Sunset nodded.

"Righty-o," Pinkie Pie acknowledged, as she and Sunset stood guard by the door.

With that, the figure began hacking the transporter's controls.

Meanwhile, the engine room.

"Ok," Twilight said, "we need to disable the engines, then Kang will have focus on repairing them."

"We'll to create a diversion," Rarity added, "that way we can take out the engines while the guards are distracted."

"Leave the diversion to me," the figure from 1889 responded.

The girls and Gwenpool exchanged a confused look, but said nothing.

"We'll still need something to disable the engines," Fluttershy stated.

"I've got just the thing," Gwenpool piped up, "EMPC."

"EMPC?" Twilight repeated, "what are these?"

"Electromagnetic Pulse bombs with a C-4 kicker," Gwenpool replied.

"How'd you make those?" Twilight asked.

"I watch a lot of YouTube videos," Gwenpool answered.

"Alright then," Twilight said, "we have a plan, time to execute it."

Back with team one.

"Alright," the figure from 2069 said, "the controls are hacked and the transporter is online."

The transporter's control screen displayed images of various heroes from various universes and time periods.

"Let's have look," Sunset murmured, as she surveyed the monitor screen.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack joined Pinkie Pie with guarding the door.

Elsewhere, with team two.

"Alright," Twilight said, "the EMPC charges are set."

"And here we go," Gwenpool breathed, activating the detonator for the EMPC.

Kang's ship, the bridge.

"Report!" Kang thundered.

"There was an explosion in the engine room," one of Kang's subordinates answered, "all electronics in the engine room have been disabled."

"Get down there," Kang fumed, "BRING. THEM. TO. ME!"

Back with team one.

"Alright," Sunset said, as she pressed the button to summon the heroes she had picked.

"Energy levels sufficient," the transporter stated, "dimensions breached, summoning individuals."

Shortly after, there was a flash and the chosen individuals appeared.

"Welcome, heroes," the figure from 2069 greeted, the summoned heroes.

"I bet you're wondering why we called you all here," Sunset added, as the summoned heroes got their bearings.

Elsewhere, with team two.

Everyone ran through the corridors of Kang's ship.

All the while, alarms sounded, "Security lockdown!" a voice bleared, "security lockdown! All personal are to apprehend five intruders, location now being transmitted to all screens and memory banks, security lockdown!"

"We have to keep moving," the figure from 1889 shouted, urgently.

"Ya think?" Rarity replied.

Ahead of them, was another corridor, but before they could get through it, the bulkhead door slammed shut.

"We're trapped!" Fluttershy cried, as she and the rest of the girls screeched to a holt in front of the sealed door.

"End of the line," Arno Stark a.k.a. Iron man 2020 smirked.

"Theres nowhere to run," Tactical Force, the Hydra Iron man, declared, as he, Iron man 2020 and some of Kang's forces closed in on Twilight and the others.

But before, every of the girls could attack they were restrained and forcefully led away.

Kang's ship, the bridge.

"Well," Kang remarked, as the girls, Gwenpool and the figure from 1889 were brought before him, "if it isn't the little announces, finally fallen to the might of Kang the Conquer."

"You call yourself Conquer," the figure from 1889 growled, "but there is one thing that you can't conquer, our willpower."

Kang stopped dead in his tracks, "Ravonna?" he uttered.

"Yes, Kang," Terminatrix a.k.a. Ravonna Renslayer answered, "me."

"My love?!" Kang whispered, still in shock.

"My love?!" Rarity repeated, in surprise.

"Seeing these heroes," Terminatrix continued, "seeing these good people, nobly fight on gave me the strength, strength to stand up to my own oppressor, my captor, my.....my love."

"You betrayed me?!" Kang uttered, energy surged around his clenched fists, "You," he fumed, "you....."

For Moment, Kang looked like he really was going to strike Terminatrix down.

"I can't kill you," he relented.

He turned his attention to Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy and Gwenpool.

"But," he continued, "I can kill your friends."

Before Terminatrix could intervene, she was restrained by some of Kang's subordinates.

"You all have been thorns in my side, long enough," Kang declared, fists glowing with energy, "and when I'm done with the four of you, the rest of your friends will follow."

Twilight and the others stood their ground as they waited for the end.

"No," Terminatrix cried, struggling against her restrainers, "you can't."

Then suddenly, Kang was hit by blast of ice, which temporarily immobilised him.

"Sorry, we couldn't get here quick enough," remarked a voice that came from where the blasts had come from, "but we didn't get an invitation to the party."

Twilight and the others turned to see who had fired the blast and were so happy by the sight that met their eyes.

There was Sunset Shimmer, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, the figure from 2069, behind them was an army of different heroes, some they had already met and some that they hadn't met.

The person responsible for the ice blast, Leo Snart a.k.a. Citizen Cold, the Captain Cold from Earth-X, holstered his cold gun.

"I'm not a fan of conquers or dictators much," he smiled.

Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy and Gwenpool quickly freed Terminatrix and joined the others along with the army of heroes.

"Your move," the figure from 2069 declared.

Kang gazed at the figure in utter disbelief, "You?!" he said.
