The night continued as the 3 fillies and Tinker are asleep, except for Carlos. He couldn’t sleep due to him worrying about Alpha. He was tearing up looking at a family photo of Alpha and him. He wasn’t happy, he was out of hope for Alpha.
“You know, Alpha will be okay”. Suddenly, the orb in Alpha’s bag began to speak. Carlos looked and picks it up as a face appears on the orb, it was Alpha’s mom in the orb. “Yes, I’ve heard of you Carlos. I know the memories are faded, but I’ve seen you in school a few times”.
“Alpha Blue’s mom, how did you?” Carlos said
“Just think of that later Carlos; let’s just talk, you and me” The orb said “I can tell by your voice that you're worried about the one lost daughter, Alpha, she is a sweet angel”.
“She…She is an angel indeed” Carlos said “but soon I would lose her”. He begins crying again as the orb attempts to calm him.
“She's not going to die, that body of hers has survived many life threatening hits” The orb said “You heard about her gunshot to the hoof right?”. 
Carlos nodded “She has told me about that yes”.
“How do you think she survived?” The orb said as the words pointed at Carlos “If you weren't there to get her to a nearest hospital, she wouldn't be here and you wouldn't have a kind and smart daughter”.
“Well, that is true. If I wasn't there, I wouldn't be there to save her” Carlos thought in his head.
“You also have to look on the bright side, she looks up to you and her brother, Diamond to care for her” The orb said “She has a power of never changing, she will never age and will never grow. Her mind is at a fixed and locked mind” The orb explained as Carlos listened more. “The pony you have to fear about is…”.
“Is...Who?” Carlos asked in confusion.
“You see, let me tell you a tale” The orb said “Long ago back in 2005 when the murder happened. I was killed by my father, I had a wish before I married him was that When I die, I want my powers to go to our childs. Now, when he killed me my powers went to Alpha and Diamond. However, Topaz my husband died the same day by the royal guards. He also had a wish, to rule over equestria. So his powers made a copy of Diamond and Alpha. Thies ponies are known as Dark or Despair ponies, there nothing but trouble to Equestria. Now, Alpha’s dark side Distorted is not the worst of the group. It’s her brother that the bigger issue, his name is Dark Diamond, Prince of Darkness. He’s wanting to reborn the old king, that being Topaz” the orb explained as Carlos smiled. “Your her adopted father, she looks to you as a pony she trusts. Not only you, but also Mindset and Tinker she looks to as a pony she knows”.
“I understand now Sapphire, no matter what happens, she will be okay?” Carlos asks as the orb glows smiling.
“Correct Carlos” The orb said “Even though Alpha is at life threatening risk, my powers will still keep her in a proper living state for a little bit longer”. The train continued to move throughout the night to reach the crystal mountains. Carlos puts Alpha’s orb away and went back to the bed to rest.
