“…Do you know about the 5 ancient guardians? I always loved everypony´s interpretation of their legend”
Princess Celestia walked side by side with her faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, that had just been accepted no longer than 4 weeks ago. Today´s lesson was over and the princess decided to hang around with the little filly that seemed excited just for being at her side. The only thing able to witness their conversation where the long and decorated halls of the castle´s halls, the windows leading to a beautiful garden with a fountain in the middle of it, the princess was relieved that she was able to be alone with her student even if its for just a while.
“The legend says that 5 animals came from heaven and helped civilize not only pony culture, but also every single intellectual culture in the entire world. I don’t know why you are asking me about something that is neither confirmed or is probably something somepony just made up, princess. I mean, there are no evidence of such feat nor anything about the creatures considering that it was an event that took place in the entire world.”
The princess covered her mouth with one of her front hooves, letting a chuckle escape from her lips
“Perhaps my dear, but I wonder if I should tell you about them?”
Twilights eyes widened at those words, was the princess telling the truth? Honestly, she used to tease her a lot, but never with knowledge. Twilight knew that a lot was still unknown about the majestic creatures known as alicorns, possessing the strength of an earth pony, the flight capability of a Pegasus and the magic of a unicorn.
“One day my little pony, one day i´ll surely tell you the story of the 5 guardians…”

“…And that’s why this day is so important, girls.”
In front of the magenta pony, six other ponies with different colors each listened with bored looks at her magical friend. The tomboyish one, a cyan Pegasus with a rainbow-colored mane decided to float in front of Twilight
“Yeah yeah yeah, egghead things. The point is that today I’ll finally be able to show the wonderbolts how awesome I am!!”
Today was a special day, the mane six were invited to canterlot to one of Celestia´s parties and no matter how boring was it going to be, they needed to assist just because princess Celestia wished them to be there, just to put some spice on things. Of course a lot of famous figures were going to be present, in fact, it was going to be more of a “celebrity-meeting” party of sorts, perhaps princess Celestia wished to give her little ponies a moment to shine? Various famous mages, fashion designers, the wonderbolts and even famous chefs from all over equestrian were going to be guest honors. So maybe the party wasnt going to be a total disaster like grand galloping gala? Celestia hoped the opposite.
“ OH-OH-OH maybe one of them can teach me how to make one of those cakes that change from flavor each time you bite it? Maybe they make the fruits take turns in your mouth? No that’s not possible, fruits aren’t so friendly when they with other fruits that are not from their same species, maybe they make them a party so ...”
After shutting the random being known as Pinkie Pie, the group of mares decided to leave the tree that Twilight used as home and library. just like Twilight predicted, a chariot pulled by two big and strong Pegasus wearing the armor representative of Celestia´s guards arrived to pick them up for their big night
“Well girls, we should be going”
This party was just going to be beautiful, and nothing could ruin this perfect moment without being defeated by the elements of harmony.
Well…”nothing” is probably a strong word here
There exist an empire where smog and oil are your clean air and water, a place where life is nothing but artificial, a place that is responsible of the decline of various cultures and planets alike. The machine empire, a flying kingdom that uses the planet´s resource until it dries out, and when that happens, they just delete it as if they were deleting nothing but data, disregarding the countless of lives lost for they just saw them as nothing but an “inferior” species that deserved to serve only the “powerful”. It was this dreadful day that they had set eyes on a peaceful planet full of nothing but precious resources that could easily fuel their ship for a 10,000 more years, for you see, a planet that actually co-exist with nature is rare and even strange, most planets just disregard nature and try their best to just advance technologically which actually helps the empire, but in the long run, energy is required and planets with little to no flora nor fauna are sometimes just death ends for them. The invasion of this little planet was crucial for the empire, and so the disaster began…
------- Mid-air : Between ponyville and Canterlot -----
The mane six talked about the party and the opportunity to at last have a royal party that had the potential to actually be fun, chances for a disaster to occur in canterlot were bleak thanks to Shining armor´s shield powered by his love for princess Candace and even if Twilight brother´s shield failed, they were sure that with the powers of the elements of the harmony, they could easily defeat any foe with the power of friendship and unity.
The pink pony with fluffy hair known as Pinkie Pie was the first one to notice something strange slowly emerging from the skies, silently making its way towards the town of peaceful ponies, its shadow covering in the sun from reaching the city, as if it were defying the sun goddess.
“Hey girls!! Look !!”
The girls looked at the pink pony pointing to the window and towards the direction of the object. The first one to react was Twilight Sparkle
“Stop the chariot!!!”
The chariot slowly landed near Canterlot entrance , the place filled with guards preparing themselves to defend the princesses from whatever that thing was. The elements of harmony quickly made their wait outside the chariot and into the open, looking with their own eyes at the unidentified flying object
“Just what in the world is that…?”
