Nighttime, not many ponies appreciate what joy it fills me with, but then again not many ponies understand me. Some think I'm crazy, others think I'm strange for liking nights more than days, but I don't care the voices in my head say to ignore them anyway. Besides I'm just a little meager jester who enjoys making her empress smile and I love smiling, it's so fun when I see them smile. It's even more fun to watch them beg before the empress pleading for the mercy that they'll never get, oh it's such fun! Oh, by the way I'm Shadowlight Darkspark and fun is what I'm all about. It makes me feel so happy and excited to see you all. Yes, I can see you . Yes you the one reading this I see you, I wish I could be there too but I'm stuck in this story unable to be free. Oh well, I like it here anyway your world is probably super lame and boring and besides my Empress wouldn't be able to see me, and that's not fun at all.
Do you want to know what I'm doing now? Well I'm on my way to my Empress's chambers to entertain her, wish me luck! Not that I'll need it. I mean I've been doing this for as long as I remember.
"I thought we could hardly remember our bithday." one of the voices in my head says as I continue to head towards my Empress's room.
"Silence you!" another says.
"Make me!" the first voice said.
"Hey don't fight you two! We've almost made it!" I say in a sing song tone.
I happily skipped into my Empress's room and then I promptly tripped. When I heard my Empress chuckle at my antics , I felt happy. It makes me happy to my Empress happy.
"Well now, I see you haven't run out of jests young Shadowlight.." My Empress said.
"I live to entertain you my Empress!" I said as I started to juggle some hapless guards that were nearby like if they were balls. My Empress really chucked at that! She likes it when I mess with the guards around here. It really fun for me to as they beg for me to stop. Hearing them scream as they're sent flying away when I'm done with them is music to my ears.
The Empress likes that too.
I finshs my little routine and was about to leave when my Empress called my name. She wanted me to go and find a pony known as the "Demon", the voices in my head say that she's very mean and scary but I think she could be fun! You ponies should know by now how much I love fun! Oh by the way hi ponies reading this! How are you? Are you well? Oh right, you guys cannot speak with me. Oh well, I tried at least. I should go find that "The Demon" pony.
This my not take me long! This pony lives really close by, so I don't have to go far. Well I know voices she's mean an all but maybe I shall meet her and your wrong.
I decided to shut the voice in my head off for a while so I could focus on finding this "demon".
I looked high and low for the "Demon" but I couldn't find her. Oh, my Empress will not be happy if I don't find this "demon". She'll have my head for sure and that's not fun at all!
"Who the hay are you talking to?" a voice said to me.
"Odd, that wasn't a voice in my head who was that?" I thought to myself.
I ignored it and continued on my quest but when I looked back I could of sworn I saw a pony that looked like me leaving through a portal of some kind.
"Ok now I must be crazy if I'm seeing things" I thought to myself.
I decided to forget about it and continued on my quest.
It wasn't long until I found an old cottage near a forest, it was overrun with animal and pony corpses. A frightening sight for some but not for me, I found it quite amusing to look at the ponies "The Demon" has killed. It filled me with such joy.
"This place looks fun! " one of the voices in my head say.
"Ugh to you it seems..." another said.
"Hey you two stop!" I said. Both voices apologize and I go on my merry way.
Well it was merry until I ran into a rather wild looking mare with a bloodsoaked mane and tail with yellow fur, she was not a friendly pony and tried to attack me but I dodged her attack.
"Ugh so close! Why not be still and become my next meal!?" the insane mare said to me.
"I'm looking for a pony called "The Demon", My Empress wants her I think." I had said.
"Hehe so she found me..." the mare said.
"Your the demon?" I said.
"Yes indeed. I am Flutter Blackheart, the demon of the forest." she said, she then gave me a toothy grin.
"Yay I find you ! I'm Shadowlight a jester in the Empress's court!" I say cheerfully.
"Oooo, oh exotic~" Flutter said seductively.
I giggle then happily escort Flutter to my Empress's home in Canterlot, when I did I saw a pony that looked like me once more, she had what appeared to be a note in her mouth so I go to investigate.
"Um hi there?" she said after taking the letter out of her mouth.
"Hi! I'm Shadowlight Darkspark." I said.
"Yeah, I know you. Wanna come to my party!?" the mare said.
"You are a pony I do not know. But your asking me to go to a party? Of course I'll go but I'll have to ask my empress first." I said.
"Oh right, sorry Shadowlight. Oh yeah I'm Glitter Brightstar by the way. I introduced myself so Solarmoon can stop putting "the mare" after he's done with my dialogue!" Glitter cheerfully says while clearly shattering the fourth wall.
"Oooo! You see stuff like that too! How cool. I'll see you Miss. Brightstar!" I say as I left to continue escorting Flutter.
"She's so odd... Am I like that too? Maybe I am but at least my mother isn't a monster..." Glitter says as she teleports home.
Daytime.. It's a good time to explore and have fun even if it means getting in trouble with the law sometimes but I don't care as long as my empress is happy then I'm happy...
