The Tardis crew were all shaken up. After the impact in the portal, time seemed to stretch and slow down. The Tardis console started shooting out flames and sparks causing the Doctor to pass out. Twilight and RD were both still sat in their seats but Twilight was busy screaming to the Doctor who was already on the floor unconscious. The Tardis wasn't shaking at all now. Infact, not a sound was heard. The lights were all off apart from emergency backup lights that were very dim themselves. After a while of sitting, Twilight and RD both got up a trotted over to the Doctor. He was moving slightly and mumbled something that not Twilight or RD heard. Suddenly, the Doctor's eyes burst open, he looked towards the frazzled console and dragged himself up. He took a last look towards the console and finally turned to the two mares.
"I'm afraid we'll be here for a while. The Tardis has been so heavily damaged that she can't go anywhere! We best leave so we can let her repair herself." The Doctor then grinned after telling them the news. "I wonder what the console room will look like afterwards..."
"Uh, where IS here anyway?" asked Twilight.
"Well, we just passed through that portal and are now in another dimension!" the Doctor replied.
They started making their way towards the double wooden doors. The doors were now covered in black patches from the fire and stress of passing through the portal. The outside wasn't doing well either. For it too was covered in burnt patches and peeled paintwork along with cracked windows and a smashed lantern top.
The trio made their way outside and stopped to take in the extraordinary look of the new dimension. The ground they were standing on was what looked to be red rock. In the distance they could see what appeared to be brown sand with screaming faces etched into it. Looking down they noticed that they were all on a ledge and that the 'seas' were made up of lava. Lava also poured from the ceiling and dripped off edges of the red rock. Across the land were random patches of fire that seemed to be burning indefinitely. The heat was furious and caused the trio to sweat.
"Incredible!" exclaimed the Doctor.
"I wonder if anything lives here..." Questioned Twilight, who was fascinated by this new dimension.
"Why is it all made of blocks?" asked RD.
The Doctor then took the time to look at the ground, he then proceeded to hit it lightly with his hoof.
"What are you doing?" asked Twilight who gave him a puzzled look mixed with fascination of the landscape.
"I'm looking to see how rigid this ground is. It looks delicate, but sturdy enough. I'd say that we could break it, but not collect any of it. It'll just shatter. We'll need tools if we want to collect any samples. It’s alright though, I have some in the Tar- ......oh....." The Doctor just stared behind the two mares with a saddened look.
"What? What is it?" asked both Twilight and RD.
"Well I was gonna get tools out the Tardis but I'll have trouble with that..." said the Doctor in the tone of a sarcastic whine.
"Why?" asked Twilight herself.
"Well....no time to answer but...... CAN ANYPONY SWIM IN LAVA??" yelled the Doctor.
Twilight and RD both turned and screamed at the top of their lungs. All they saw was the Tardis being carried down a stream of lava. Luckily, the Doctor kept the shields up so the Tardis doesn't suffer further damage.
"Only one thing to do!" said Rainbow in her confident tone.
"What’s that?" asked Twilight.
"FOLLOW THAT TARDIS!"
And so the trio all set off following the Tardis for without the Tardis, there will be no way back to Equestria! But, during this little event....things haven't been quite so normal in Equestria itself....
