Rainbow Dash POV

Another day in Canterlot High. Well, it's normal to everyone but me.

A week before, I shared my (technically) second kiss with my boyfriend, Soarin.

The feeling was amazing! So romantic...

Wait, wait, wait! I'm starting to sound like a fangirl! Gross!

I was abducted a week ago and Soarin and my friends rescued me...thankfully! If Lightning continued torturing me I would be dead by now. (see the prequel Lightning's Revenge)

Soarin came over to me.

He said, reading my mind,"Still thinking about what happened in the basement last week, huh?"

"Yeah, even though I'm safe and sound now, but the trauma isn't so easy to overcome." I replied.

Soarin placed a hand on my cheek.

"Sweetheart, everything will come out fine, don't you worry." he reassured.

I really wish that things were this easy, but it isn't.

From what I know about Lightning's personality, she is going to seek revenge on me again, and she won't stop until I took my last breath.

Yeah, that's horrible. I get it.

Suddenly, the bell rang for fourth period.

"Oh, class is starting. What's your class?" I asked Soarin.

He replied,"Geometry."

"Me too. Let's go to the geometry room before Miss Cheerilee gives us a detention for being late." I said.

We hurried off.

-TIME SKIP (after geometry class)-

The blessed bell finally rang. Thank goodness! The class was so boring that I almost fell asleep during a long lecture about lines, rays and line segments.

It was break, and me, my friends and Soarin headed outside the school to get some fresh air.

We sat down on the front steps and started a conversation.

"Hey guys, actually I was wondering, how many of you didn't fall asleep during Miss Cheerilee's lecture?" I asked casually.

Twilight replied indignantly,"I didn't, for one."

"But, I, Fluttershy, Pinkie, and Rarity kind of zoned out during the lecture." said Applejack.

"And right before I fell asleep, I saw that Sunset was writing to Princess Twilight in her journal." muttered Rarity.

Twilight said,"That means I was the only one who paid attention in class?"

"Yeah." I replied casually.

"Oh, what did Princess Twilight write to you?" Fluttershy asked politely.

Sunset answered,"This."

Dear Sunset,
I'm pleased that Rainbow Dash is alright after the ordeal she suffered, and everyone's fine here in Equestria.
But, I recently caught wind of abnormal happenings in your world, maybe it's the magic duel.
Anyway, how are you and your friends lately? Tell me in your next entry.

"Oh." said Pinkie,"Did she hold a party for this?"

I glared at Pinkie, and she shut up.

Soarin piped up,"Excuse me, is it alright that me and Rainbow go off for a moment?"

"Sure!" replied Twilight.

Soarin helped me up and he took me to a secluded spot.

"Are you really OK?" he asked.

I replied, exasperated,"I''m fine."

"But you don't seem to be." he added, and I blushed.

I said,"OK, OK. I'm just nervous of her seeking revenge on me. Who knows what limits could she go to?"

"She won't harm a hair on your head. I'll be here." he said passionately.

"But...what if you can't stop her?"

"I will protect you, even if it means risk to my life." Soarin replied.

He pulled me into an embrace, and I returned it.
