Chapter 6: Ritsu

"FUCK!" Fandom cursed kicking the ground in frustration.

"Fandom calm down, he was too fast it can't be helped," said Twilight. Fandom sighed as he lowered his head. Two hours had passed since Ridley attacked the village. Fandom and his party were ready to fight off the threat, but Ridley caught everyone off guard by snatching Chihiro and escaping into the anime world. They had pursued after Ridley in hopes of rescuing the distress while Pit returned to his world to get reinforcements, but Ridley had managed to escape. Now Fandom and his party were lost in this world with no traces of the beast.

"Look I know things look bad, but we can make a comeback," said Reiko.

"How?" asked Fandom. "Ridley escaped, we got separated from the one person who had wings, the village is destroyed, and Chihro's life is in danger," "If only I knew Ridley was going to attack, we could've prevented this,"

"Don't beat yourself up about it, he came out of nowhere," said Twilight. "We can't give up, everyone needs us,"

"Yeah, your right, sorry," said Fandom.

"It's fine," said Reiko. "Now come on we have to find a way to save Chihiro,"

"But how?" asked Fandom. At that moment a catchy jingle began to play from somewhere.

"Where's that coming from?" asked Twilight. That's when Fandom realized that it was coming from the menu. He opened up a menu to see a big red explanation point flashing in the top right corner. He tapped on the explanation point as a large hologram of a young girl suddenly popped up. She had short lilac hair with two long strands coming down on either side on the backside. She wore a typical grey school suit and skirt and her light blue eyes sparkled despite there being no sources of light nearby.

"Hiya," the girl beamed cheerfully.

"Fucking hell!" yelped Fandom.

"Oh my apologies for startling you Fandom," said the girl.

"Who are you?" asked Twilight.

"My name is Ritsu," answered the girl. Suddenly the environment froze as a splash screen appeared.

Newcomer
Autonomous Intelligence Fixed Artillery aka Ritsu
Digitizes!

The splash screen vanishes as the environment begins moving again.

"Wait Ritsu as in like the Ritsu that sent the message?" asked Reiko.

"Yep that's me!" Ritsu answered cheerfully.

"No way," said Fandom.

"You don't believe me?" Ritsu asked.

"Well it's not that, I just expected you to be like an actual human like me," stuttered Fandom.

"Oh I guess your emperor didn't explain it to you," said Ritsu.

"Explain what?" asked Twilight.

"My name is the shorter version of, Autonomous Intelligence Fixed Artillery," explained Ritsu.

"Really?" asked Fandom. Ritsu nodded with a smile. "Where does the Ritsu come in?"

"In Japanese Autonomous means Jiritsu," explained Ritsu. "My name comes from that one word,"

"Ah, I understand," said Fandom. "By the way why are you in my menu?" asked Fandom.

"Our world has been going through a lot lately, and we wanted to find a way to escape the endless torment, that's when we heard about three heroes who managed to liberate one of the seven worlds that was annexed by the enemy," explained Ritsu. "That's when our government sent me to your village in the form of a message hoping that you might get it,"

"Sakaki explained it to us didn't he?" asked Twilight.

"Remember when he called out my name, that's when he planted that message in your menu," explained Ritsu.

"Geez I'm so confused on how he pulls these things off," said Fandom.

"Either way I'm here to support you from here on out as your AI," said Ritsu.

"Um Ritsu you DO realize that AI stands for Artificial Intelligence right?" asked Fandom

"Of course," Ritsu answered cheerfully.

"Well not to be rude or anything, but the last time I checked your name wasn't Artificial Intelligence Fixed Artillery, it was Autonomous Intelligence Fixed Artillery," said Fandom.

"Well then it's about time I changed that," said Ritsu.

"Are you even allowed to do that?" asked Fandom.

"The government allowed me to act out of my own free will as long as it doesn't help the enemy," answered Ritsu.

They really hate the Subspace Empire THAT much don't they?" asked Reiko.

"Affirmative," answered Ritsu. "So with that being said, call me the Artificial Intelligence Fixed Artillery from now on,"

"Yeah I think I'll stick with Ritsu," said Fandom. Reiko and Twilight nodded their head in agreement.

"Suit yourself," said Ritsu. "So where do we begin?" asked Ritsu.

"Well I would explain it to you, but I think that would take too long," said Fandom. "Damn I wish I had a photograph of him,"

"You're looking for someone?" asked Ritsu.

"Shit the one thing I need was a file of all the enemies and of course the game refuses to give me one," grumbled Fandom.

"If your looking for files on enemies, I have one right here," said Ritsu. Suddenly the bottom half of the screen moves up so that it only showed Ritsu from waist up as a digital folder appeared next to her.

'Where the hell did you get that?" asked Fandom.

"I AM an AI," said Ritsu. She quickly moved to the side as the digital folder opened up revealing files of the enemies they faced before. "If you want to check the next file, just swipe,"

"Wow and I thought this was just a game," said Fandom. Fandom began swiping through the files until he came across Ridley's. "Ah here we are," said Fandom. Ritsu's face appeared next to the file as the folder disappeared.

"Ridley is it?" asked Ritsu. "Interesting choice,"

"He attacked the village we came from as well as kidnap an innocent bystander," answered Fandom. "We managed to chase him into this world, but after that we lost trace of him,"

"Understood, I will began a scan of this world now to see if I can pinpoint his location," said Ritsu. She lowered her head and closed her eyes as screenshots of different locations began to flash on the screen. Scan complete," announced Ritsu.

"Well?" asked Reiko.

"According to the data I have gathered, it seems Ridley is constantly moving so unfortunately I cannot pinpoint exactly where he is but he appears to hang around these areas constantly," said Ritsu. She pulled up four images of different locations. One was an tall black building that seemed to resemble some sort of academy. The Subspace Logo was imprinted above the front doors. The second was an old cemetery, the third was a large stadium with a large stage in the center resembling the Subspace logo. The fourth location was a ruined section of a technological city.

"Where are these places?" asked Reiko.

"The first location used to be the grounds for a certain school called Hopes Peak Academy, but it's currently being used as an HQ for the Subspace Empire after the former building burned down," answered Ritsu.

"Hopes Peak Academy?" asked Fandom. "Isn't that from the anime Danganronpa?"

"Yes," answered Ritsu. "The second location is just an old cemetery which is said to be the hiding grounds of a certain yokai,"

"A what?" asked Twilight.

"A yokai is a type of demon or spirit that inhabits the world of Japan," answered Fandom.

"That's right," said Ritsu. "The third location is the New National Stadium,"

"New National Stadium?" asked Fandom. "I feel like I've heard that name somewhere but where?"

"Well it's currently being used as a hideout for the Subspace Empire," explained Ritsu. "The fourth and final location is Academy City,"

"Isn't that from the anime A Certain Scientific Railgun?" asked Fandom.

"That's right," answered Ritsu. "However it's only the ruined part of the city that Ridley was seen,"

"Why these four of all places?" asked Twilight.

"Unfortunately I do not know myself, perhaps we'll find some sort of hint or clue if we go there ourselves?" suggested Ritsu.

"Very well," said Fandom. "Hey Ritsu can you stay on for the time being, we're going to need you to show us the way,"

"Sure thing," said Ritsu.

"Girls, we're going to be entering enemy territory, let's be cautious when investigating," said Fandom.

"Right," said Reiko.

"Agreed," said Twilight.

"Alright Ritsu lead the way," said Fandom.
