//------------------------------// // Wake Up the Hero! // Story: EoH Evolution Special: Equestria Girls/Kamen Rider Bahamut: Origin // by Bahamut0 //------------------------------// The last of the afternoon classes soon ended, and Twilight headed for the school's entrance. "Yo." Burst Stream called out. He was waiting for her by the doors. "Come on. I don't live too far from school." The pair walked and soon arrived at Burst Stream's house. "Home sweet home." "Welcome back Burst!" Lumina called from the living room as she saw her son enter with Twilight in tow. "Oh dear, I didn't think you'd bring a girl home so soon!" Burst rolled his eyes, and smiled knowingly. "Trust me Mom. If I'd met her any sooner, you'd have seen her a lot more often. But, could you give the two of us some space? We've got a touchy subject to discuss." As soon as his mom left, Burst's expression got a bit more serious. "You said that you wanted to talk, right?" "Yeah. I did." Twilight said with a nod. "You want to know why I'm running against Sunset? It's not just because of how miserable she's made everyone. There's something more to it. And I'm going to sound a bit crazy, but please hear me out." Burst Stream nodded. "Shoot." "Okay. It's a good thing the couch is right behind you." Twilight said as she took a deep breath. "I'm not from this world. I'm a magical goddess-princess who comes from a world where magic is real and is filled with tons of mythical and fantastic creatures. Me and my friends over there are a team who fight to protect our world from evil. And you? Your counterpart is the leader of another team of heroes. Ones that are good friends of mine, and have faced evil more times than I'd like to count. Some of them have even ascended to godhood like I did. Or, as we call them back home, avatars." Twilight sighed. "The point is, my world's version of you promised to give a sad story a happy ending. And to do that, he became a hero. He trained under his father, another avatar, and became strong enough to fulfill his promise. But that's not what made him strong. The reason he became strong was because his parents, his dad having the most influence on him, raised him to be a good person. One who would never standby while people were in trouble. And somewhere, deep within you, I know you were raised the same way! I'm not asking you to be like the Burst Stream I know. I'm asking you to take a stand for what you know is right! I don't know what happened to your dad, but I do know that he wouldn't want you to just sit here and let Sunset and Goldenrise make everyone miserable!" ". . . " Burst Stream silently rose. Quietly gazing at a picture of him and his parents on a nearby wall. "My dad always said that even if I wasn't strong, I should stand for what's right. That it didn't matter how hurt I got because if one person takes a stand, others would rise to their side. My friends pleaded, almost begged for me to stand up against Sunset and Goldenrise after they blackmailed me." Burst Stream turned to face Twilight. Wiping tears from his eyes. "And ever since I stopped, they kept fighting on in my place. Because I stood up against them, so did they. None of them wanted things to carry on the way they did. I started this, and they've been carrying on without me. Now?" Burst's eyes steeled with resolve. "I'm going to finish it. But now's not the time to stand." "Why not?" Twilight asked. Burst smirked. "My dad said this: The best time to strike is when the bad guys think they've won. I know that Sunset and Goldenrise are going to try and wreck your run. So when they do, you can count on me to show up. It's a promise." "I'm glad I could wake up the hero you really are." Twilight said with a smile. "Well, that being said, I'd better go." Burst Stream tilted his head. "Where's your house at? I could ask my mom to help drive you there." He then noticed Spike's head pop out from Twilight's backpack. "But, I don't think we've got newspapers lying around." "You sure seem accepting of all this. Especially after I told you something pretty unbelievable." Twilight noted. "And that's without me mentioning my dog's actually a dragon back where I come from." Burst Stream smiled. "Well, I kind of saw something unbelievable when I was a kid." He then stared outside as his mind drifted down memory lane. "Once when I was little, I saw a dragon. It was living and breathing, but it also looked mechanical too. What's the word to describe that? Oh yeah. Biomechanical. It was platinum in color, and it had these really cool electric blue eyes. I was a little scared at first, but it seemed to smile at me. It even nuzzled against me. Then my dad showed up, and it seemed to recognize him before fading away." "Wow. That is pretty unbelievable." Twilight said in awe. "Well, thanks for the offer. But I've got a good place in mind." And with that, Twilight headed back to CHS and made herself a bed out of books. "Tomorrow's going to be a better day. I can feel it!" That night, back at Burst's house, Burst was in the garage. Looking at a motorcycle that was the sole vehicle in the garage. "Hey Dad." Burst said as he rested a hand on one of the bike's handles. "Some pretty bad things have been going on at school. And they got worse because I didn't do anything to stop the bullies that were the cause of that. But I'm going to fix that now. Tomorrow, I make things right. With all that I've got." And with that, Burst Stream left the garage and returned to bed. However, as he slept, a strange distortion appeared in front of his house. The distortion fully formed into what looked like a mirror. And the dragon Burst saw as a kid watched the house from the other side. "He is the one." The dragon said as he held onto a small, black deck. "The one who will invoke the advent. . . "
