I did read The Winds of the Everfree last night, and I just finished The Crimson Countess before I started writing. I will say that the stories are very well written, and they are a bit creepy, but I just don't see myself losing sleep over them. I've attached a summary of The Visit for you to read. It won't really have the same effect as seeing it, or even reading a really well-worded adaptation of it, but hopefully you get a little bit of a sense of how the story works. I didn't write all of it. In fact, I pulled most of it from an online encyclopedia and just added a few more details, but you'll still get the gist.
Also, I forgot to ask, how was your first look at Chicago? More importantly, how does it feel to be the first of your kind to see Chicago? Must make you feel pretty important I would think, right?
Anyways, if it's okay with you, I'd like to continue reading the book you sent me. I should hopefully have read the whole thing cover to cover by the end of the week and I can return it to you.
