Tempest pov
I woke up in a dark room I tried to move but something was stopping me, I tried to open my eyelids but I was too fatigued, my eyelids felt heavy then I heard a familiar voice without a doubt twilight at the sound of her voice I tried to move again but my eyes wouldn't budge I tried again and again until finally, they opened the room was dark slimy it was like it was some sort of cave.
Suddenly I heard hoofsteps they kept getting louder and louder as if they were getting closer by the second I saw a tall black figure in the distance when it got closer I saw that it had holes in their hooves they had a stringy teal mane, a long horn, and a pair of ripped wings, her eyes were like ones of a cat but unlike any cat they were cold like a winter night and could scare even the toughest of ponies they even had an object on their back it looked like a high shell.
I eventually gathered up my strength and courage and said ”who are you”
”you foal do you really not know who I am” it shouted angrily
It sounded like a mare but more hostile ”y-yes” I replied in a voice Fluttershy would be proud of
She chuckled loudly with bitterness ”you really are pathetic, you couldn't even protect yourself, how could you ever protect the princess of friendship you don't even deserve her kindness much less her forgiveness, she should have let you fall off of that balcony, she should have let you die”
Her silhouette reached my hoof I was trembling like a foal I forgot all my senses and tried to back away as she kept getting closer but something was holding me in my places it felt like a dozen of rocks were on my hooves dried blood all over my coat I didn't have any energy or power to keep trying to escape I watched her silently getting closer by the moment all that could be heard was her hoofsteps, until a soft whimper came out of my muzzle, I shut my eyes as hard as I could trying to forget that she was even there, hoping this would just end up to be a horrible nightmare and nothing more.
Then I heard it, a voice in my head it was a soft voice it was all too familiar but I just couldn't put my hoof on it, it was on the tip of my tongue it said ”are you just going to give up, or do you just don't care about protecting the Princess”
I opened up my eyes, then there was a familiar pain in my chest when I felt a hoof on chest tracing my giant wound I looked up not remembering when I looked down ”they really did a number on you huh” she said softly tears in her eyes when I saw her like that she didn't look intimidating as before ”you should be honored I don't show this part of myself to anyone you know” I had a little smile on my muzzle without knowing it.
”you know you never answered my question, so I'll say it again who are you”
”Fine, fine you got me I'm the former Queen of the hive queen Chrysalis, but it seems my hive doesn't need me anymore”
”but I thought Thorax was always the king of the hive”
”not always, I used to be the queen and he was just a mere drone that served me, it's funny how life throws a curveball at you” she chuckled lightly
We continued to talk for a few minutes after that she offered to give me bandages I accepted her offer but after she applied the bandages, she said she had to leave to run a few errands and she was leaving but then I found myself saying ”is...is she okay...Twilight is she okay” my expression clearly showing my fear of her getting hurt.
”don't worry she's just fine she's just taking a nap in my guest room” she then left and nothing was said after a while I forgot I was trapped in this cave or I guess you could call it that.

Chrysalis's POV
Every step I took I felt my heart beating faster by the second I felt angry, sad, and pathetic that I couldn’t get a taste of it before I got close to her, that feeling I had tasted it before but it kept getting stronger maybe that expression was true absence does make the heart grow fonder. “But I don’t think she realized that she was in l-l agh I can’t even say the word without having a bad taste in my mouth afterwards, I guess twilight can’t love someone like me, why would she anyway I’m a monster and no one could ever love a monster like me. At least she was still unconscious and I didn’t get rejected head on”
‘I guess I have to check on that mare, even though I’d rather not’ I headed near the dungeon or I guess you could call it that as I got closer I tasted something I haven't tasted in a while it was fear ”hahahahaha, this is gonna be fun” I muttered to myself but then I had tasted something else but it was too vague for me to put my hoof on it I have to get closer.
