Silent: Windy Chyme's Story

Entry #023

Dear Diary,

Uhhh….I don’t know how to start this one off...I’ve written and rewritten it a thousand times it seems, yet there’s no easy way for me to explain it….so...I-I think I’m just gonna go on and admit my sins. Right here. Right now.

Dad came home. Honestly, I wish he didn’t. I wish he hadn’t come home at the worst possible time! He came home and I barely managed to keep him away from my room as long as possible. What was in my room you ask? More like...who was in my room?! Somehow it was dusk and without any prior warning, Lightening, Stormy, Boomerang and Wave (who was on Boomerang’s back) came clamoring through my window via the fire escape. As shocked as I was, I shouldn't have been. They’d taken the liberty in the past few weeks to actually come into my apartment, which until recently had been an off-limits area for them. I remember the first time Stormy came here and it...went as well as one would expect. Awkward until she saw just how bad a shape my apartment was. I haven’t had time or bits for cleaning supplies and I ran out months ago so, my apartment is kinda filthy. The only 2 rooms that aren’t horrifying quality are the bathroom and my bedroom. Those remain it top condition weekly. I swear I wish I didn’t see the look of absolute pity in her face, but I did. I couldn't even offer her something to eat because 1.) I had no food. 2.) Even if I did have food, I was too weak from lack of food to even walk to the kitchen. Hell, when she first came in, she found me tied to the balcony door by my neck. That was embarrassing but it got more embarrassing when she called in back-up in the form of Lightening and Wave. When they got here, I seriously wanted to throw up (not that I could because it would just be stomach bile anyways) from embarrassment. They untied me and I collapsed onto Lightening, who scooped me up in his hooves and just rubbed my back saying I was gonna be ok. When Wave asked me how did I end up like that, I answered with the truth: My dad had been there days prior (I couldn't remember how many days though) and fed me a quarter of Hoof Kadian take out before tying me up and finishing the rest off in front of me, water bottle included. When they heard that, they instantly grabbed my gym duffel and my travel duffel and packed some of my things in it. The one thing I insisted they let me pack was you and I held onto Bubby under my wing so no pony could see him (sparing me MORE embarrassment). Then they rushed me to the hangout for a few days.

That was then and this was just 2 days ago. I had to make sure they (and by they I mean Wave and Lightning) stayed on the fire escape while Stormy and I stalled my dad. For the first time in a long time, my dad actually looked happy to see me! Gave me a hug and greeted Stormy with a smile and everything. Of course I knew better than to believe his ruse so I let him continue to be “happy” while Stormy and I flew off to find a pizza joint. When we came back with the food and some soda, there were two new ponies there. Both, I recognized as being the leader of the Wendigos and his youngest son. While I was confused, dad just told me to put the food down and get dressed in my finest dress I owned. So despite my protests, Stormy silently lead me into my room to help me get ready.

The only dress that...mostly fit me was a small crimson long dress that I got when I was 10 but could miraculously still fit (because I was so thin from malnourishment, it was easy to slip into that thing). After that, Stormy helped me style my mane into a small ballet bun and curl my tail into loose curls. With a very small amount of makeup applied at the last minute, I was ready to enter the dining room to see the pizza was all divided up and that somepony had gone and gotten a salad from somewhere. Taking our seats, I glanced at the Wendigo Leader’s son (Who I learned long ago, was called Rapid Fire) with an equally confused look. We both clearly didn’t know why our dad’s wanted us here, but we’d soon get an answer that would shock us both as well as Stormy.

Not long after dinner had been served and eaten (which I had been all too eager, but had to be respectful and NOT wolf it all down) is when the announcement was made. I was to marry Rapid Fire by my 15th birthday. We were so shocked that Rapid chocked on his salad and I choked on my water (we really chose the wrong time to put food/drinks in our mouths)! They said it was important as that as the most respected members of the two warring gangs, in order to come to a...far too long in the making...truce and ending the hostilities, that their children marry. And since the Wendigo’s leader had two older foals who were already married and his last son wasn’t, plus I being my father’s only child and a filly at that, it only made sense in their sick brains to do so. Naturally after the shock wore off, both Rapid and I were very vocal in our displeasure about our forced situation….which resulted in us both getting slapped hard by both our father’s for “insubordination”. Afterwards, the adults left us 3 to discuss our situation. Rapid told me how he already has a coltfriend he’s been secretly seeing since he was 11 and he was serious about. I explained to him how I was with Lightening and we both agreed that our lives were officially screwed. It didn’t help that he’s a co-leader of the Phoenixes and he knows I’m a top-ranking Diamond Dog. So we agreed to our parent’s wished to try and get along for the next year.

After that bombshell of a dinner, dad left and as soon as he left, Stormy dialed Lightning and Wave and we ALL met up at the hangout. By the time we got there, Quick and Dusty had already found out about my arrangement. Let me tell you, I’d never seen Quick so furious. The only thing I did immediately as soon as I touched down into the hanger, was burst out in uncontrollable tears and sobs as I told (with some assistance from Stormy) everypony about how the situation manifested. By the time, I was done, Lightning looked like he was gonna kill somepony, Quick looked the same as Lightening and Dusty was quietly weeping as she clutched me closer as she and Zeta rubbed my back and wings and tried to calm me down enough to NOT go into a panicked frenzy. Stormy offered her assasin services and when those were met with questioning glares, she merely smirked and passed Quick a business card before disappearing in a cloud of smoke. I mean, I didn’t have anything against Rapid, I’m sure he’s a nice colt. It’s just that...well he’s not my special somepony! Lightening is and will always be!!

I still can’t believe this and this was just 2 days ago!! Anyways, onto how I’m in my current situation. Well...I did something I never thought I’d ever do. I stuck up a jewelry store. All. By. Myself! I even shot around the store to prove my point that I would kill a pony if I needed to that night. The owner was too shocked to do anything but give me all the bits in the register and a few hundred bits worth of jewelry. Thank Faust I was wearing an enchanted mask so that my face and voice were disguised (I sounded like a dude and looked like a timberwolf in a black hoodie). I then hightailed it outta there before the cops showed up. While I felt great at first, now I feel guilty. Which is a very bad thing. I guess...I’ll just stop writing for now and get some sleep. Til tomorrow.
Love,
Windy Chyme (age 14)

P.S.: I’m currently at an undisclosed location with Lightning and a few of my squad members in order to make sure my tracks weren’t followed.
