I woke up in the morning, struggling in bed as I force myself to get up from my comfy bed. I finally reached get up from the bed, yawning heavily. That last shift really made my entire body sore and numb, thanks to my old favor for staying up late. Ugh, its already eight in the morning, I've probably already late from the morning shift. Welp, I'm just gonna go anyway since there is no reason for me to stay in the house.
Exiting my room, I glanced at Blue's door. Surely she's woken up already and patrolling the sky as usual, I trot over to her room to make sure. Knocking down the door shortly without any kind of answer, I decide she's must had left already and walk downstairs. Well, I should've been downstairs and taking a shower, if there was no weak grunts coming inside of her room. Oh sweet Celestia, she's still sleeping? ITS ALREADY EIGHT! AND YOU DON'T TRY TO WOKE UP!? Wow, just wow.
I knocked on the door furiously while shouting her name, "KNOCK KNOCK! WAKE UP SLEEPY HEAD!"
There was another weak grunt from her inside and then Blue's tired voice came up, "Who is it? And who's sleepy head?" she said without realizing the time, and she's half asleep as she open the door.
I cleared my throat and gave her a scolding look that she never bothers to look at, "Do you know what time is it?"
She shrugged, "Look if you want to wake me up so early, then peace out bro. I'm going back to sleep," turning away from me and walk slowly to her bed.
Facehoofing, I sighed and told her the time. "It's eight past fifteen, Blue."
She then turned at me, her eyes went wide. "E-excuse me? What did you say?"
"I said, it's eight past fifteen," repeating what I just said earlier to her, she then went to a panic mode and quickly rush in to the shower after running over me.
"WHY YOU DIDN'T WAKE ME UP!?" shout Blue from the bathroom, still in panic. She then hastily exit the bathroom with a wet fur and mane, she didn't even bother to dry up.
"Well, I had an 'additional' sentry shift till night. I was home at midnight, that's why I'm late to woke up." I explained quickly to her while she hastily put on her Golden armor, it was so quick that her Armor were not at its proper attire as it was use to be. God it was so loose, it could fall from her any moment now.
With a quick grunt and some small complaint from her about the time, she finally flew off from the house. Heading to Canterlot castle to start her usual morning shift. And about me? I just took things slowly, carefully cleaning my mane and properly washed my coat thoroughly. After that, I walk upstairs to put on my Golden armor and then trotted to the castle cheerfully. See the difference there? Me being late but still took things slowly, while Blue took things almost too seriously. This is not the first time she's late for a morning shift, but when she does. All hell broken loose just because of her.
Why did I took it slow? It's because the favor is from a commander of the 25th Lunar regiment, asking me to replace one of his soldier because of the soldier sickness. He surely return the favor by telling me that I will be unavailable on the morning shift until somewhere that the sun rise up a bit. Blue's on the otherhoof, she really had no excuse to miss her morning patrol. Oh forgot to mention that he will also buy me some Canterlot finest cider the next time we met.

I finally reporting a little late than I suppose to be, but it was brushed aside as a next tryouts for the Royal Guards will be held soon. I bumped into Blue on my way to the training course, having herself to clean the long hallway along with a couple of guards that share the same fate as Blue.
"Having a nice day?" I smirked at Blue, which then she responded with a glare. "Ooh, I've better not disturb you and just go."
She snickered, "Yeah, you should!"
I left her alone to the cleaning of the hall and proceed to the training course where the tryout was suppose to be. I arrived on the course and nopony even bother to come here. Sighing heavily, I waited for the recruits to arrive and immediately start the tryout for the Royal Guards, matter not if the official trainer was there or not.
Thankfully, I didn't wait long as the trainer arrived just before the recruits. Alright then, since most pony is here. Were gonna start this tryouts, my hopes are high to see talented or perhaps a potential from the trainee this month.
Taking a break from the tryouts, they've been taken over by Lance Corporal Blueberry if anypony ask me. The sun had reached its peak and now lowering it self to the west, and one thoughts comes hovering down to my mind. Who is Blue's new crush? I wonder to myself as I remember that Blue breaking up with her colt-friend.
This thought really bothers me for the last couple months, my curiosity of her new crush really intrigued me. I still had one clue and I'm determined to look for more, he was an Unicorn. Well good luck as it was tons of Royal Guard that had its possibility. Literally every Unicorn stallion here, I've better ask with a lot more personal question later.
I trotted to the canteen to get some refreshment, hopeful to see Commander Night Wing, the commander that had been asking me for a favor yesterday. Seeing the commander is nowhere on the canteen, I proceed to the usual ones. Good old non-alcoholic cider.

After taking my break, I slowly walk to the course to see how it went. I bumped into Blue on the way, we had a moment of us staring down on each other. I broke it by greeting her which then she greeted back, but it immediately turns into another awkward silence. Using this one opportunity, I asked her about her love life.
"Um, I've never had a colt friend," she said, very unconvincing. I stared at her until I finally deployed my wild card.
"Oh really, then why do you broke up with a Wonderbolt?"
She was stunned for a moment, trying to process my question. Realization comes as her eyes went wide and quickly losing this battle. "W-what a-are you... t-talking a-about?"
"Oh you know what I'm talking about, the stallion's name is, Soarin. Am I right?"
Her jaw dropped to the floor in shock, she never expect that kind of outburst I've see. Speaking up names like that is dangerous but it sure are working on this battle, call it a gamble if you wish. Her army is surrounded and nowhere to go.
I smirked, seeing her unable to fight back and I couldn't resist to tease her, "Don't play tricks on me, I know you had a colt-friend until you broke up with him."
She tried to find her way out of this, but all exit was blocked. She's clearly flanked by my wildcard, I always knew this kind of conversation really getting on her nerves. Her army falls upon my wildcard and the quick motion of that one attack. She still tried to put up a word but her throat was unable to spat out a single one.
She finally give in her army and surrenders. "Ugh, fine. I did have a colt-friend."
I couldn't help myself but grin on this victorious battle, I quickly ask her the question I've been wanting to ask for sometime now, "So, is there any special somepony in mind?"
She hesitate for a moment before sighing, "What exactly do you care?"
"Oh come on, I'm your friend. A beautiful mare like you should had one right?" I smirked, indirectly flirting with her. I saw her blushing hard and tries to hide it under her mane.
"N-n-no, I-I m-mean y-yes. B-but..." she tried to hide her embarrassment, and couldn't even spit out the sentence properly.
"Cmon, I'll keep it a secret," I winked at her and giving a gesture of zipping my mouth shut, her smile appeared slightly.
"W-well..." she finally give in and now, she's gonna tell me her crush. GYAAAH I'M SO EXCITED!!
"Sergeant, Corporal Blueberry is asking for your presence in the training." some Guard steps in and interrupted the moment.
"Oh, you have things to do. I-I guess, I'm gonna tell you later," she trotted off and disappear on the corner of the hallway. DANG IT! IT WAS SO CLOSE!
"Uh, Sergeant. Are you okay?" the guard looked at me, confused. I put a glare on the guard where it gave him a chill down to his spine. I grunt and proceed to the training course, leaving the guard really confused.
I had it, it was so close. Thanks to some guard who ruined it. I thought to myself and curse that interference from that single guard. Why did you leave me on a cliffhanger, Blue? Guess better ask her later, got duty to do.
The training finally had come to an end, it was boring and nothing interesting as it was like watching some elderly cross the road. Most show a lack of discipline, and perhaps they weren't even trying. Still a boring though, nothing had come up in my mind except Blue's secret crush. To bad, somepony had to ruin that perfect moment, I had to come up with another plan to defeat my enemy next time. I used up all my wildcard so, probably I'm just gonna ask her straight. All out charge!
Speaking of which, there she is now. Trotting slowly in the hallway, likely to head for the barracks to report in for her usual patrol. I trot over to greet her, she was surprised for a moment before returning my greetings.
"So about that, crush of yours... Can you tell me now?" yep, straight all out charge and hope for the best.
She once again was surprised, "Really? Why are you so determined to know?" she let out the flattest face she could, but somehow she couldn't. Instead she tried to hide her blush under her cyan mane which failed horribly.
"Aw, come on... His name? His appearance?" I pleaded at her and gave her a not-so-cute puppy face. "This bothers me for a long time, please tell me!"
She looked down, trying to avoid my eye contact. Strange it may seem, but I do not bother by it. I'm determined to seek the answer from her, therefore I must prepare myself for the answer.
Her gesture telling me to come closer, so I did. Then, I expect her to tell me in a whisper. Surely her special somepony must be nearby, so I turned my head to let her whisper to my ear. Instead hearing a whisper, she turned my head, making me met her beautiful cobalt eyes. For a moment, I waited while her hot breath breeze over. Wow, mint!
She close in the distance between us, and in a blink of an eye. She kissed me, I really did not expect that to be honest. Breaking our little kiss, she finally said a single word that struck me in the heart. "There, I already told you who."
Still processing what she just said, she just kissed me for no reason. How's that suppose to-

DID SHE MEAN!?
I tried to speak up just to confirm my theory. "W-w-wait, d-does th-that mean... I-I'm..."
I see a genuine smile from her, she looked down for awhile before returning to met my gaze. And once again smiled, "Yes, you are my special somepony."
Well, praise the sun. What a coincidence because I've had the same feelings towards her. It's time to reveal mine too, I guess this is a good time to finally reveal our little 'secret'.
"W-well, I've gotta tell you something too," I spoke up, nervously. She looked at me, narrowing her eyebrows and there was a slight hope on her face. "I...kinda...like you too."
And again, without notifying me. She immediately jumped into me which surprised me once again, and gave a soft kiss to the lips, I could felt the warm sensation upon being kissed. My inner me was telling to kiss her back in which I did so, and oh boy it felt good upon doing so, especially with somepony you liked. We broke off the kiss, it was a quick kiss to be honest, but it felt like an eternity. She smirked and I can see her tail raised up, and I decide to took a step backwards.
I know where's this going.
"Oh, by the way. I've got something to do, so uhhh... see ya!" I ran off to the canteen.
I manage to look back behind to see her smiling and blushing behind her mane. I want to avoid anypony I encountered just to hide my steaming hot red face. That is my first kiss from my first crush, lucky me. This is not boring day anymore, especially knowing Blue's crush was... Well, me!
Things went on very well through out the rest of day as we finally can do our little 'date' at our house tonight.
