“ And now ladies and gentlemen take the final leg for Team Silverwing is their leader Silver Chance,” The MC shouted as the crowd erupted with the loudest cheers so far. Apparently, Navy Steel was not the only one waiting for Silver to take the stage after seeing his actions back in Canterlot City Team Silverwing now became the crowd favorites to represent the western division. Silver caught up to Vert and drew his opening hand.

“ My turn I draw,” Silver said as he drew his sixth card. Silver was up against some heavy firepower and had nothing in his hand that came close to matching any of Vert’s monsters but he did have a plan to defend himself.
“ First I'm activating the Field Spell Destruction Sword Village. A medieval style village began to build all around the track and the final piece of it was a huge black castle in the back of all of it. This card not only gives my Buster Blader an extra 500 attack points but as long as it is on my field you can,t target it with card effects.
“ Now onto my strategy so first I Summon Buster Whelp in attack mode. Buster whelp flew in and felt intimidated by Vert’s fleet of monsters.

“ When I Normal summon my Whelp he allows me to add a Destruction Sword card to my hand so I will add Thunder Buster to my hand. Silver’s deck shuffled until one card stuck out of it and Silver placed it in his hand.
“ Next I tribute my Whelp to Special Summon Buster Blader from my hand. Buster Blader leaped out of the portal and readied his sword to take on Vert’s army.

“ Next I Equip my Blader with the Thunder Buster I added to my hand and while it's equipped your army can no longer use their effects. Buster Blader’s sword was replaced by a photon sword shaped like a thunderbolt that then sent a wave of electrical interference towards all of Vert’s monsters and caused some of them to power down.
“ And with Turtletracer’s effect negated its level and attack points drop. Some of the drones surrounding Turtle tracer vanished until only three remained.

“ But I'm not done yet next I activate Cosmic Cyclone by paying 1000 life points I can banish one Spell or Trap on your field so my target will be Machine Revolution.

A purple vortex appeared over the area where the transmission tower Gale left behind was and began to suck up the tower as it began to collapse from the violent winds that swept it up. Once the tower was gone all of Vert’s monster began to lose power.

“ Now that everything is out of the way time to battle Buster Blader attack one of his tokens. Buster Blader charged at high speed and leaped into the air with his sword pointed forward like a missile. Vert noticed an Action Card to his right and he leaned in to grab it. Vert wasted no time in activating it.
“ If you think I'm making this easy you're wrong because I Activate the Action Spell Battle Change this card changes the target of your monster’s attack to another monster I control so Buster Blader’s new target will be Dracossack. The token that was in Buster Blader’s path ascended higher and Dracossack intercepted Buster Blader and took a direct hit as Buster Blader pierced right through Dracossack and caused it to explode
“ Either way your still taking damage,” Silver pointed out as a shard of metal from Dracossack fell down and nicked Vert.

“ Now that your boss monster is gone I set two cards face-down and end my turn,” Silver said as two set cards appeared behind Buster Blader.
“ My turn I draw,” Vert said as he drew his third card. Vert checked his hand for a way to regain his team’s advantage but currently had nothing that could help until he looked at the card he drew. Vert decided to put his faith in that card.
“ First I will activate the Spell Processor Reformat,” Vert said as a spell with an image of a pie chart on a computer screen appeared. This card allows me to draw one card for every machine type monster I currently control however I must destroy all machine type monster I control during the End Phase so with four monsters I draw four cards. Vert drew his four cards and was glad he drew what he needed.
“ First I Activate my own Machine Revolution. The same radio tower Gale played erected in the same place as hers was and started transmitting.

“ But that's not all I also Activate the Equip Spell Spare Photonic Stabilizer,” Vert said as a Spell with an image of a mechanic inside the core room of a starship replacing a tube-like device appeared. This spell allows me to Special Summon a Machine-Type Monster from my GY and equips it with this card and the monster I want back is Dracossack. A portal opened in the sky and out of it came the lifeless mechanical husk of Dracossack being lowered down by a bunch of chains. The chains held Dracossack in place while a compartment on its underside opened up and the tube-like object from the card went inside and reactivated Dracossack.

“ Now I enter My Battle Phase and have Dracossack Attack Buster Blader. Dracossack finished its recharge process and unleashed its turbines to create its whirlwind and then added its fire to it sending a flaming tornado at Buster Blader. Silver noticed a clutch Action Card above him and grabbed it. As the tornado drew closer the struggle to hold on to it began and Silver manages to activate it just in the nick of time.
“ I activate the Action Spell Evasion now Dracossack attack is negated. Buster Blader swerved left and the flaming tornado dissipated.
“ You may have survived one attack but I have another one lined up Turtletracer Attack Buster Blader. Turtletracer fired its attack drones and aimed for Buster Blader. Silver wasted no time in responding to this attack.
“ Not so fast I Activate the Trap Equip Blast,” Silver said as a trap with an image of a sniper watching their rifle blow up on them flipped face up. This trap destroys all Equipped cards on the field and you take 800 points of damage for each card destroyed by this effect so with two cards on your field and one on mine that's 2400 points of damage. Thunder Buster along with Vert’s two Equip Spells self-destructed and Vert got caught up in the blast confused by Silver’s plan.

“ What was the point of doing that you just unsealed my monster’s effects,” Vert pointed out until he realized what Silver’s goal really was.
“ The point was to get rid of Dracossack you see your Photonic Stabilizer Equip Spell has one more effect I'm sure you left out on purpose if it leaves the field the monster equipped with it is destroyed and before you try to point out how my Thunder Buster is gone too it doesn't matter Dracossack’s anti-destruction effect missed its timing also without the drones your Turtletracer loser its power boost. Dracossack blew up and covered Vert’s field in a plume of smoke.
“ Either way Turtletracer is still strong enough to take down Buster Blader because when Spare Photonic Stabilizer is destroyed by a card effect it gives another machine type monster I control another 400 attack points until the end phase. Turtletracer switched to its original weapon and fired a barrage of bullets at Buster Blader as the energy from the core of Dracossack surged through Turtletracer.

Silver noticed another Action Card ahead and accelerated for it. Vert also accelerated to beat Silver to it. Unfortunately for Vert, the wind generated by his tokens blew the Action card into the air and silver performed a wheelie then used his nitro to take off into the air. Silver manages to snag the Action Card and activated it upon landing back on the track.
“ I activate the Action Spell Take Flight this give my Buster Blader an extra 600 attack points since your attacking him. Buster Blader charged forward and deflected the bullets with his mighty buster sword.

Buster Blader readied his sword and slashed apart Turtletracer which left Vert with just his tokens.

“ I may not be able to attack anymore but I still have cards to play so now I activate the Spell Explosion Draw by destroying any number of machine type monsters on my field I can draw one card for each monster so I will destroy my remaining tokens to draw three cards. The last of Vert’s forces exploded as he drew one card for each monster destroyed.
“ I know you might be thinking you have me outmatched but not for long, for now, I will set three cards face down and end my turn,” Vert said as three set cards appeared in his back row thus filling it. The seal on the set card that Team Navy steel set at the beginning of the match finally broke and Vert was now preparing for one final assault.

“ My turn I draw,” Silver said as he drew his card. Silver had to end this before whatever Vert was planning happened. Unfortunately Silver wasted his last move and his best weapon against machines just to inflict a huge dent. Silver looked at the card he drew and was sad he drew nothing he could use this turn. Silver could not risk attacking carelessly so he decided to end his turn.
“ Not so fast Silver I activate my Trap Battle Mania so now you are forced to attack me whether you want to or not. Buster Blader felt like a powerful force came over him and tried to control himself but failed as he prepared to strike.
“ since you leave me no choice Buster Blader will attack you directly. Buster Blader charged forward and raised his sword above his head.
“ Now I activate my other Trap Draining Shield so now I regain Life Points equal to Buster Blader’s attack points so now I'm back in command of this match. Buster Blader crashed into a barrier that sucked some of the force of the attack and converted it into Life Points for Vert.

“ Since I have no other options I will place one card face down and end my turn. Silver said as another set card appeared behind Buster Blader.
“ My turn I draw,” Vert said as he drew his fifth card. Vert was almost ready to begin the next phase of the plan.
“ First I Summon Mecha Phantom Beast Stealthray in attack mode. A bomber plane shaped like a manta ray began to fly into the stadium and hovered behind Vert.

A giant cobalt starship almost twice the size of a naval battleship with a unique insignia on the side equipped with multiple futuristic cannons and runway on the deck began to descend above the stadium and blocked out half of the sun with its sails.

The overlay unit went into the ship and it dropped its winch into a portal and then pulled Dracossack out.

As Silver send the two cards from his deck to his GY Buster Dragon appeared and took up a defensive position.

“ As long as Buster Dragon is on my field all your monsters become Dragon Types. All of Vert’s monsters began to transform into dragonic versions of themselves while Galaxia turned into a dragon oni like ship.
“ That won't make much of a difference because I activate the Spell Power Bond this spell not only does this allows me to fusion Summon a Machine-Type Fusion Monster but it also doubles that monster’s attack points so I fuse all three of my tokens with Dracossack in order to Fusion Summon our platoon’s ultimate weapon.
“ Not so fast I Activate my other set card Destruction Swordsman Fusion This allows me to Fusion Summon my own Fusion Monster that includes Buster Blader as material and I can use monsters on both sides of the field so I will fuse my Buster Blader with one of your tokens so now you have one less material to work with. Buster Blader and one of Vert’s tokens fused together.

A Cessna A-37 dragonfly with the motif of a phoenix began to descend down and hovered behind Vert.

Galaxia withdrew its cannons and lowered its sails before switching its forcefield generator on.

“ Allow me to explain what Phoena can do first it gains 500 attack points for each material used to Fusion Summon it but that's just the beginning it is unaffected by the opponent’s card effects on the turn it was Fusion Summoned.
Vert began the next phase of his plan and left Silver with no options.
" Now to deal with that pesky dragon of yours I equip Buster Dragon with the Equip Spell Null Blaster this spell not only shuts your dragon's effects down but destroys it during the Endphase. Buster Dragon's influence began to fade and Galaxia turned back to normal.
“ Time for our unbeaten last attack to commence I activate the spell Limiter Removal this doubles the attack points of all machine type monster I control. Phoena began to power up more.

“ Next I will activate our team's final card that Jet left for us at the start of this match so behold our Trap Sonic Boom this doubles Phoena’s original attack points once more. Phoena took off into the sky above and prepared to dive bomb as its power went up more.

“ You may think this is overkill but we take no chances both in battle and in duel monsters. Silver you team has performed splendidly but this is our final attack so unless you can stop this we win Phoena Attack Dragon Destroyer with Sonic Boom Strike.
Phoena revved its jets and unleashed a powerful sonic boom that blasted the clouds and created a loud sound that resonated throughout the stadium. Silver was about ready to give up until he spotted a glimmer of hope in the form of a clutch action card flying towards him from the force of the sonic boom that occurred. Silver activated it in hopes of saving himself.
“ I activate the Action Spell Encore this allows me to target one Action Card in my GY and copy its effects so I choose to copy the Action Spell Evasion. Buster Blader the Dragon Destroyer leaped out of the path of Phoena and caused it to crash right onto the track and Vert was very impressed with Silver’s quick thinking.
“ Very impressive Silver in all of our duels you were the first to dodge our ultimate combo so now I will end my turn and during the Endphase not only are my monsters and Buster Dragon destroyed Power Bond inflicts damage to me equal to Phoena’s original attack points. Both of Vert’s monster’s exploded and covered the field in a huge plume of smoke.

“ First I activate the Spell Soul Charge This card allows me to Special Summon as many monsters as I want from my GY but I can't conduct my Battle Phase this turn and I take 1000 points of damage for each monster brought back by this effect so from my GY i Special Summon Buster Blader and Buster Whelp. Both Buster Blader and Buster Whelp leaped out of a portal and took their positions.

“ I may not be able to attack but Scarlight has a very powerful effect once per turn he destroys all face-up monsters on the field who’s attack points are less than is own and you take 500 points of damage for each one. Dragon Destroyer you served me well and now you are dismissed. Scarlight slammed his palm on the ground and unleashed a flood of magma on the field that swallowed up Dragon Destroyer and finished off the rest of Vert’s Life Points. Vert was smiling as his runner emitted smoke.

“ And that's it Ladies and Gentlemen the winners of the first round of the A block are Team Silverwing,” The Mc shouted with all her might.
Both teams took center stage to shake hands but not before Team Navy Steel did something they rarely did.
“ Team Silverwing we salute you,” Vert said as Gale and Jet did the same.
“ Remember this you three we only salute duelists who play this game with honor respect and courage and all three of you proved you had just those. Both teams shook hands and then proceeded to clear out for the next match.
Outside the Stadium Silver and co were loading up their runners when Vert ran up to them in a hurry.
“ Silver I almost forgot to give you this it was your father’s signature card he told me if I and you should ever face each other and you won I was to entrust it to you. Silver accepted the card and finished loading up his team’s runners then told his truck driver to return to the truck stop and to come back tomorrow for the next match. As Silver and co were on their way to the stands they ran into Team Crimson Night but what shocked them was who was with them.
“ Fluttershy what are you doing here?” Lightning asked.
“ And what's with the goth getup,” Lyra asked just as confused.
“ While you three were busy training for this tournament my penpals from Arizona asked me to join their team so I said whatever and here we are now we have a match to win or not either way who cares,” Fluttershy replied in her most goth like mannerism ever.
As Silver and his friends took their seat Silver decided to give Rarity a call to see if she knew something about this.
Meanwhile by a TV screen inside the Canterlot Mall Sunset and her friends were watching the Los Pegasus Circuit on TV and cheered loudly as they saw Silver’s finishing move. During the commercial breaks, Rarity heard her phone ring and saw Silver was calling her. She answered after hearing her favorite verse from her ringtone.
“ Hello Silver,” Rarity said.
“ Rarity we just ran into Fluttershy not so long ago and she is acting different,” Silver replied.
“ Different how?” Rarity asked.
“ She was wearing a very gothic outfit with black eyeshadow, cross-like jewelry and was acting very indifferent like she was Edgar Allan Poe or something,” Silver replied.
“ Oh no not again I thought I told her we liked her for who she was,” Rarity said in a dramatic tone.
“ So you know something about this?” Silver asked.
“ Afraid so darling you see last year I was invited to compete in a Fashion Show overseas so I needed someone to take care of my shop while I was gone. I asked everyone I could trust with it but the only one who did not turn me down was Fluttershy. At first, she was nervous and scared but after I suggested she tried pretending she was acting she kind of got absorbed in her characters and actually became them and this goth Fluttershy you mentioned was one of them,” Rarity replied.
“ Ok, but why is she doing it again?” Silver asked.
“ The tournament you're in is a huge event viewed in sold-out stadiums by cheering crowds right,” Rarity asked.
“ Yes and I also know Fluttershy would rather hang with you guys then be watched by thousands of people,’ Silver replied.
“ Well my guess is that she must have been so nervous she caved in to her goth persona for strength but there should be nothing to worry about this time it's only a game she should be back to the Fluttershy we all know and love once its over,” Rarity said before the Mc announced the next match and Silver hung up.
“ What was that all about?” Sunset asked.
“ Oh, just Silver showing concern for Fluttershy or should I say Fluttergoth,” Rarity replied.
“ We really need to burn those costumes of hers before we lose her for good,” Rainbow said remembering last time.
“ Now Rainbow don't be so dramatic this is Fluttershy’s way of dealing with her stagefright besides multiple personality disorder is not that bad,” Sci-Twi said losing the others after she mentioned Fluttershy’s condition.
“ Multiple what now?” Rainbow asked.
“ Multiple Personality Disorder it's basically where a person has more than one personality some have a few others have a lot. Studies show us that each personality is triggered by certain actions in Fluttershy’s case a change in wardrobe or style am I correct Rarity?” Sci-twi explained.
“ You are darling but i'm sure she will return to being the sweet shy girl we all love after this but for now let's just cheer her on,” Rarity said.
Pinkie just got back from the Food Court with everyone’s orders and asked if she missed anything. Rarity told her about the discussion on MPD Twilight was telling them about. Everyone laughed and returned to watching the next match.
