	"Good morning Daniel. I've made you a mixture of oats and fruits mixed with water." Lyra smiled and said. Daniel thought to himself...wouldn't that be oatmeal? He decided it was better to not say anything. Hmm it's actually pretty good.
"So I learned a little about cutie marks at school yesterday, and I saw yours last night and was wondering what your special talent was." Instead of telling him Lyra decided to show him. The melody Daniel heard was simply jaw dropping. He closed his eyes letting the vibrating strings of the lyre pull him into a hypnotic state. "It's amazing Lyra. Thank you for that.”

Shortly after that Daniel headed off to hang out with the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Oh there is their treehouse. He headed off in that direction only to be interrupted a few steps later.
"Heeeey maaaan. Want some cupcakes" The odd stallion with the cupcake on his rear said.
"Uh...I don't rea-" Daniel sputtered.
"Nah the pineapples hate cupcakes. The only like to eat Rarity's hats." Said a blue pegasus that came out of nowhere.
"I..what!? You guys need help." Daniel said while slowly backing up. The cupcake stallion reared up at him.

"I NEED you for the CUPCAKES!" The stallion said twitching. Right before getting kicked in the mouth.

"You leave him ALONE!" Silver Spoon screamed. "Come on Daniel!" Daniel was confused, but followed the filly into the center of Sweet Apple Acres.


"Thank you! I...have no idea what I would have done without you. You saved me!" Daniel gushed. This caused the filly to blush bright red once again. She was grinning like a, well...the best Daniel could describe was like a little schoolgirl.

"It was nothing. I just couldn't let someone as intriguing as you get hurt. I apologize for the darker side of Equestria. Daniel said nothing but just hugged Silver Spoon tightly. She turned a hue she had never before. "Let’s, um, get you to the CMC treehouse."

"Can you come and hang out with us?" Daniel pleaded. He didn't want to admit it but he had a crush on grey pony.
"They don't really like me." said quietly. She glanced around looking for Diamond Tiara. Not seeing her anywhere around she took her glasses off. Daniel gave her a weird look. "Oh I don't really need them....Diamond Tiara just thinks I look like more uptight with them."

"They just need to see who you really are." Daniel smiled. "You’re actually nice and kind."
"Diamond Tiara can't know. She would never forgive me." They discussed telling the other ponies, but decided to wait for another time. "Have fun Daniel. I'll see you another time." said before slowly walking away.
Daniel walked up the path to the treehouse and got a nervous chill. He spun around and saw that same stallion galloping away. "I’m going to find out who you are..." He whispered to himself.

"Who ya talkin' to eh?" Walkeen asked.

"Oh, um, no one dude." Daniel stated. Why is he following me. Why won't he just show his self.

"Hey wakey wakey!" Scootaloo said. Daniel snapped out of his daydream and headed into the treehouse.
