High in the castle near the largest room of the castle Celestia and her army march down a hall of dismembered guard heads decorating the wall their horns on fire and for the earth pony guards, a torch crushed through their eye sockets. Celestia's army is in tears of her subjects that have lost their lives to protect the royalty and citizens of this kingdom. As the army marches, they notice the heads turning to look at them their mouths open and a soft whisper comes out of them, Celestia leans in close and hears they are confessing their sins to her and the army. 

One of the soldiers notices the heads crying tears of blood and all in unison they say, "Why did you forsake us, Princess Celestia? Why didn't you help us, why didn't you save us?". Celestia's heart breaks hearing these words as they continue down the hall and reach the dining hall as they see in the seats the ponies from the village sitting on the chairs sacks on their heads a lot of blood on the stone floor in the dim-lit room. What is more disturbing is on the tables before they are weapons. Swords, axes, knives, and bludgers.

once the final pony enters the room the door slams shut and a red barrier encloses the doors keeping them in this room. One of the guards tries ramming the door down but once his armor touches the red barrier he starts sizzling and he screams and boils appear on his body. His right eye pops out and his left melts into a white goo his coat peels and his skin melts as he becomes a puddle of melted flesh and bone, His armor lays covered with the goo. Celestia with anger screams, "Fear, show yourself, coward! Face us and take your defeat!". As soon as Celestia says this they all hear laughing but no sign of where it's coming from.

As the army and the Princess look around they hear Fear's voice in the room as he says, "You call me coward yet I see before me your hooves shake and your hairs standing on the edge, From my point of view you're the ones filled with fear and terror.". One of the guards looks at the door and fear says with a laugh, "Lose a friend mother? I told you that I put out some games for us and your little toy soldiers to play with, and it seems you found one, and so did your captain of the royal guard.".

Celestia has wide eyes and growls with rage she says, "What have you done to silver you cold heartless son of a." Fear stops her as he says, "Now now dear mother language if you swear what would the children think?". Fear laughs. Celestia growls in anger and says, "What have you done to him!". Fear then says with a chuckle, "He is with me his side of your army had some fun with me in the dungeon, and let's just say mother they were delicious." Fear laughs lightly.

Celestia says with a scowl, "Why keep us here!? Why not face us!?". Fear says with seriousness, "I just want to show you, Celestia, why you made me, my reason for being here, and what will happen to those who stand against me in my new world when you are gone.". As soon as he says this Celestia notices the ponies in the room starting to hum and move slowly. Fear says with a chuckle says, "My dear mother, Ever play chess? Cause I have my pawns do you?".

A red mist enters the room as the sacked head ponies rise with some struggle they grab the weapons and drag them towards the army and Celestia. The sacked head ponies' eyes holes glow red as they growl and raise the weapons high to attack. Fear says with a light laugh, "So mother dearest, can you face the sins of your soul and come and face me? All you have to do is get by my pawns, simple as that. But I must warn you.". 

Celestia and her army see on the wall, eyes appearing, Fear to watch this. His third eye watches them as he says with a chuckle, "They don't feel pain, they don't back away, and the best part is. They love my madness and want me to be the ruler and to see your body and your little sister's body mangled, torn, mutilated, and burned. Both your souls devoured by me.". As soon as he laughs the ponies scream in a sick version of laughing. Celestia with tears as he heard this that after her Luna will be next. he had to be stopped now.

Both sides of the army charge as they clash together Celestia's troops take down only a couple but Fear's troops are dominating. While Celestia's army focuses on the army the Princess tries to get rid of the barrier on the door to get to the demon. Doing all this Celestia has tears worried about her friend Silver since he has been there halfway through Celestia and Luna's rule. She lost her dear sister, she can't lose him.

suddenly the floor beneath her opens and she falls into it surprised to react before she could fly out the opening seals shut. She is in complete darkness, cold and silent as the tomb, all that she hears is the flaps of her wings. She uses her horn to illuminate the dark but even her power is of no use. What seems like hours finally an opening shining in the darkness surrounding her. Celestia flies to it and falls into a snow pile, She rises and looks around getting her surroundings since it's clear she is not in the castle any longer.

Celestia sees before her a village burned and sees in the distance an Ersa Major walking away with blood on its maw and claws. The Ersa burps finished with its meal as it walks away from what is left of the burning village, the princess watches in tears at the mistakes she has made in the past letting this village people get slaughtered. She flies to the village but gets transported to another place the Crystal Empire. The final days are as Celestia looks at the battle with her sister against king Sombra and how she couldn't save the ponies of this kingdom when it vanished.

Celestia goes through her past of all her saddest days and hardships when she couldn't save the lives of her subjects and the final one was her sister's battle when she had to defeat her own sibling which broke her heart the most. With a scream as she sees Nightmare moon blast into the moon, Celestia says, "ENOUGH!". As she says these flames come out of her as the world around her shakes it grows dark and she finds herself on the stone floor of the castle.

She sees a red mist vanishing as she knows this is Fears doing trying to feed and scare her to turn her back. But she wipes her tears and with determination, she marches to what seems to be a massive room on top of this tower. As Celestia looks around the room she sees the throne where a royal unicorn sits he looks at her but Celestia thinks something is off so she steps with caution towards the throne. 

Celestia asks, "Are you alright? where are the demon and my friend?.". The head moves but in a weird way and he says, "Your friend is hanging around as for the demon I cannot say, please come closer I shall whisper it in your ear.". Celestia nervous goes to him and he says, "No no closer please." Soon Celestia is inches before the unicorn and puts her ear near his mouth. The unicorn says with a deeper voice, "He is within." then Fear's hand pops out of the unicorn's mouth and Celestia screams as she falls backward and scoots away. The hand goes back in as the unicorn laughs maniacally Celestia hears cracks from the body as a crack appears on the head and face of the body and goes down. 

Soon the head opens up as Fear rises from the body covered in blood and laughs in his regular voice. He looks at Celestia and with a grin, he says, "Welcome mother dearest, Welcome to your nightmare. Are you ready to face true madness and evil?".
