Wallflower’s Poems

by Silver Shadows

Poem 4

Time: After school
Place: School garden

I founded it,
I created it,
I poured my soul out to it,
I dug the dirt day after day,

My plants are growing,
Is this how a proud parent feels?

I was going to leave the world yesterday,
I thought that nothing was binding me to the world,
But my parents would love me,
I can’t leave them,
My heart isn’t that cold to do so,

If I could make them forget,
And if I could make my friends forget that we have ever met,
Maybe it wouldn’t be so sad,
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad
