When Twilight turned the recorder off, she quickly trotted over to the quietly sobbing hedgehog. The alicorn gently placed a comforting hoof on her friend's shoulder, trying to give him the feeling a safety in any way.
"Shh," She said softly, "Sonic, it's okay. It's alright."
Sonic sniffled, but said nothing. This made Twilight even more upset about the situation. What had happened with the humans of Mobius that made Sonic so upset?
"Sonic," Twilight whispered soothingly, "what's wrong? You can tell me, I only want to help you. You only call me 'Princess' when you're really hurting, please tell me what's going on."
The blue blur blinked slowly, and still made no attempt at telling Twilight what was going on within his mind.
Twilight gave a small irritated snort, then....an idea came up in her mind. She instantly galloped down the hallways of the castle to her Study, grabbed all her writing supplies, and quickly began writing a quick and simplistic letter.
"Hey Spike, you here?" Twilight called once the letter was done and sealed. Almost immediently the newly-winged baby dragon came running over to her.
"Yeah Twi, watcha need?" He asked once he was right in front of her.
Twilight gave the letter to her number one assistant, "Could you please send this to Shadow as soon as possible?" she asked him, "I need his help with something."
"Will do!" Spike said. before running over to the window and incinerating the scroll.
About two minutes later, there was a pounding on the door, making the alicorn fly down there and open it. Standing there was Shadow the Hedgehog, looking both worried and mad at the same time.
"Twilight! You said that something was up with Sonic?" He asked, looking up at the stairs that to where Sonic sat.
Twilight nodded and explained to him what she said to him and his reaction. Shadow responded by rapidly explaining that the humans used to be after him and wanted him gone, and it scared Sonic that it would happen again, then he ran up to comfort Sonic. The lavender alicorn slowly followed soon after, and she was very pleased to see that Sonic had calmed down a great deal while in Shadow's arms.
"Oh! Hey Twilight," Sonic said, whipping his eyes from the tears, "Sorry about that, let's continue the interview."
"You sure you want to?" Shadow asked him, looking at him with concern.
Twilight was about to explain to him why they needed to go on, but then another idea came to mind, "If you want Shadow, you can stay and answer the questions Sonic can't," she told him.
"Yeah!" Sonic agreed, "Come on Shads, stay with us!"
Shadow rolled his eyes, but responded with, "Alright."
"Okay!" Twilight cheered, "Then let's move on to the interview."
All their stomachs growled.
"After a snack."
