Determination, courage and trust. These were the emotions that at the time were lodged in the hearts of Elias, Sunset and the rest of the girls. Since Sunset heard the words of encouragement from both Elias and her friends, all the doubts and uncertainties that gripped her heart were now dissipated, and she felt her connection with the other ponies become much stronger and at the same time that a connection with the young human was being created. She did not know how to explain it, but she felt he could trust Elias, the latter, although apparently very far from home, went to their rescue without thinking twice and was ready to fight a battle that was not his only to be able to to help.
These same thoughts also swirled in the heads of the other ponies. He had practically appeared out of nowhere, yet this human was risking his life for them. A strong sense of gratitude and admiration felt the seven ponies towards Elias.
The young cadet, although he did not yet have very clear ideas about how he had arrived at Equestria, knew very well what to do at that moment: stop Scarlett Storm. It's true that it was not his battle, but after realizing what kind of subject the black alicorn was, he could not stand aside and, above all, not help those ponies who, despite knowing how powerful Scarlett was, were ready to risk their life to protect Equestria and its inhabitants.
Sunset, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack. In the gaze of each of them burned a flame of determination and courage that incinerated every uncertainty in their spirits and for this Elias, could not help but feel a strong sense of admiration. The same kind of admiration he felt when he thought of the soldiers who bravely fought and died against the Titans in order to save humanity from their yoke. This is why he was determined to help those ponies, and not knowing how to explain why, he was already beginning to perceive something towards them, as if a strong bond was being created. Determined more than ever, Elias gripped his blades, and with Sunset charging his horn, they took up combat positions in front of the ponies that had to load the elements that would defeat Scarlett Storm.
"My amulet ... MY AMULET !!!" but if on the side of the heroes were the dominant emotions confidence and courage, on the side of Scarlett Storm instead of anger and rage boiled in her veins. Not only those pesky ponies were a pain in the ass and did not decide to die, but now that subspecies of hairless primate dared to challenge her! And moreover he had called her a weak one, not to mention the fact that he had destroyed the amulet of the alicorn. An affront that would have paid off with life. "Now you have tired me miserable disgusting worms!" The black alicorn screamed furiously as he conjured up a pair of hooked twin blades with her magic. "This is the last time you get in the way of my plans! You die all of them!" and a powerful magic globe set off from Scarlett's horn in the direction of Elias and Sunset.
But the latter managed to raise a barrier with her magic and protect her and Elias in time. A great fuss rose up from the collision of the globe with the barrier. Not even the time to branch out that Elias came out from it, snapping like a lightning bolt, rushed in the direction of Scarlett to launch his offensive. The alicorn at the sight of the soldier began to launch a series of magical rays against him in an attempt to kill him, but Elias, despite not being able to take advantage of the three-dimensional movement for reduced space, managed to dodge all the blows and launch the first blow with his blades.
But Scarlett was able to see the cadet's offensive and from here began a fierce duel between the two challengers. Each shot that one of the two performed was promptly parried or deflected by the other, and for several seconds the challenge went on so until the alicorn gave a particularly powerful blow that collided with the blades of Elias, threw the latter to several meters away from her.
She did not even have time to recover that was hit by a powerful magic shot of Sunset. The Unicorn just spotted the opening in the defense of Scarlett took the opportunity to be able to hit, and immediately launch a barrage of magic bullets in the direction of the tyrant by the black cloak. But the alicorn, using her hooked swords, deflected all the blows of Celestia's favorite pupil and immediately launched herself into Sunset. The latter managed, thanks to the teleportation help, to avoid the dangerous slings launched by Scarlett. But the prolonged use of the teleportation was consuming a lot of energy at Sunset, so the tyrant took advantage of it for a deadly blow to the unicorn, but despite everything Sunset managed to block the offensive of the enemy with a shield created by magic.
"Give up pathetic excuse of a unicorn!" Scarlett said, putting pressure on Sunset. "You are not worth anything, you are not special, you have not been chosen by the elements, you are a failure as a pupil of that pathetic Celestia! How do you hope to beat me!?" Continued the tyrant in an attempt to break the psyche of Sunset, but the latter was driven by a determination such that those words did not touch her in the slightest.
"You are wrong!" The unicorn answered with a determined voice. "I was chosen by Celestia because she saw something in me and I do not need the elements to be special!" with every sentence she expressed, Sunset managed to push the enemy back. "Because I have something that makes me really special, something you can never have and you will never understand: I have my friends!" And with the power of friendship, Sunset was pushing back the ferocious tyranny, and at that moment Elias arrived to lend the unicorn by striking a double blow against Scarlett, but Scarlett barely stopped the cadet's offensive. Elias and Sunset found themselves together to make the enemy retreat.
"Surrender Scarlett! If there's one thing I understand about these ponies is that they have one thing in common with us human beings: they're damned determined, and believe me, if someone is damned determined, especially if he wants to protect something he loves, it's unstoppable! " The young cadet exclaimed.
Scarlett Storm could not understand, could not find an answer, could not explain how these two miserable were managing to hold her head. And while she was looking for an answer she noticed that her two enemies had exchanged a knowing look and after that interrupted their offensive to move aside. "We made it?" A tired Elias asked.
"It would seem so." An exhausted Sunset answered, approaching the cadet.
"We did it! We did it!" A joyous Pinkie cheered as she trapped Elias and Sunset in a broken-ribs embrace. "We defeated Scarlett, and it's all about you! "Yes. We were a fantastic team." But as our heroes celebrated victory, a exhausted but furious Scarlett came out of the dust. Seeing that curtain that made her sick, she charged a ball of energy and threw it at the group. Sunset noticed the blow that was coming toward them, but none of them could have stopped the blow because they had no more forces to use the magic and the time to move was not there.
