The next morning, Spike woke up with a big smile and got out of bed and started fixing it, when he was done fixing his bed he turned to the clock and saw it was 9:00.
He already became a Crusader yesterday and has his colt version crusader cape hanging next to his saddle bag.
"Awe yeah, today is my Twelve birthday and I am one step closer to becoming a teenager", he said to himself with a smirk.
Then he heard knocking and Fluttershy, "Spike, I hope your up cause breakfast is ready", the kind pony said through the door.
Then he opened it up smiling as they both walked downstairs to eat before they go see the Wonderbolts.
With Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash up and eating breakfast with a smile, the rainbow haired mare saw how happy her daughter is today, "you seem happy today Scootaloo", she asked smirking.
"Only because today is Spikes birthday, and my birthday is next week and I'm the last of my friends that's gonna turn Twelve", Scootaloo told her mother with a huge smile as Rainbow snickered.
"Think you can spend time with him as a distraction to keep him away from Sugarcube Corner so he won't find out about the surprise party", Rainbow asked her daughter smirking as Scootaloo blushed a little and nodded.
"Good..maybe give him a birthday kiss afterwards", she said causing her daughter to blush more with wide eye's at the thought of kissing the colt.
"Mom", she wined as Rainbow giggled with a smirk, she wouldn't mind her daughter falling in love so she won't be left out with her friends of having a special somepony.
Then Scootaloo smirked and decided to get her mother back, "what about you mom", she asked as Rainbow stopped eating with a confused look.
"What do you mean what about me", she asked confused as Scootaloo giggled.
"When am I gonna get a dad", she asked smirking as her mother eye's widen with a red face almost choking on her food.
Scootaloo want's to know when was she gonna have a father and for that to happen, Rainbow Dash has to date a stallion and get married.
"Uhh, I-I can't answer that right now", the rainbowed maned Pegasus told her daughter blushing as she continued to eat.
After awhile back at Fluttershys house, Spike was done eating and he was in the shower as she was waiting for him downstairs with a smile.
"Today is the day I become a mother", she said to herself smiling, she looked at her wing with a smile knowing what she has underneath it.
After awhile, Spike ran out of the bathroom and straight to his room to get his saddle bag with a gitty expression.
"I can't believe I'm gonna see the Wonderbolts today, especially Soarin Spitfire and Fleetfoot..the most badass's of them all", he said to himself smirking, then grabbed his saddle bag and ran out the room and downstairs.
When Fluttershy saw that he was ready, "Spike, I got a surprise for you", she said smiling, then opened her wing and grabbed two tickets and a pass with her mouth and put them on the table as the colt looked at them.
"Spike, these are front roll tickets and a backstage pass to the Wonderbolts in Cloudsdale, I talked to my friend Soarin and I told him about you..he gave me these tickets and said he likes to meet you with the rest of the Wonderbolts, the show starts around 1:00", she told him as his eye's widen in shock to find out she's friends with Soarin and she got him front row tickets and backstage passes.
But was more shocking to him, is that Soarin Spitfire and Fleetfoot likes to meet him, his inspirations to become the greatest stunt flyer in all of Equestria wants to meet him.
Then he smiled and wrapped his hooves around Fluttershys neck in a hug, "this is the best birthday present ever, thanks mom", he told her smiling, then broke the hug right away as he frowned looking down from calling her mom.
"Sorry", he said looking down, then he heard her giggle and hug him with a little nuzzle as he smiled a little.
"It's ok Spike, and happy birthday", she told him and said smiling as she nuzzled him, to the colt it felt like a mother nuzzling her son so he nuzzled her back a little smiling.
They broke the hug as he asked, "uh, how are we gonna get there?"
Fluttershy giggled, "simple, I'm gonna carry you on a cloud", she told him as he nodded in understanding.
She grabbed the tickets and backstage pass with her mouth and put it in his saddle bag, then the colt put it on.
With the rest of the Main 6, they along with Mr and Mrs Cake were getting things ready for Spikes Birthday party with smiles.
"He's gonna have the best surprise birthday party ever", Pinkie said excitedly as everypony nodded knowing what Fluttershy has planned.
They were decorating Sugarcube Corner with purple and green party streamers ballons Piñata and a birthday cake.
"Not only that, but today is the day Fluttershy becomes a mom", Rainbow said smiling as everypony nodded with smiles.
Then the rainbow mare grinned, "good thing I had Scootaloo distract Spike from coming to Sugarcube Corner till much later", she told them as they nodded with giggles.
After awhile with a happy Spike, he was outside with Fluttershy as she was tending to her animals, then the colt saw Scootaloo running up to him with a smile.
"Hey Scootaloo", he said smiling as she stopped in front of him.
"Hey Spike, I was wondering since it's your birthday..that we can do something together", she asked smiling as he nodded with a smile.
"Sure Scoots...Fluttershy I'm gonna be hanging out with Scootaloo", he told the kind pony smiling as nodded.
"Ok Spike, but stay safe ok...I'll pick you up later", she told him giving him a hug a little nuzzle, they she broke it as he ran off with Scootaloo.
"I'll be safe mom", he called running with Scootaloo as they were too excited to realised he called her mom, the kind pony stood there watching him run with a smile.
"Spike..I'm starting to see you as my son more often, your gonna have the best birthday ever", she said to herself smiling as she knows she's started to feel like a mom.
With Spike and Scootaloo, suddenly they stopped running in the middle of Ponyville as the athletic filly was in shock, "Spike, did you just call Fluttershy mom", she asked turning to him.
"Huh...that's the second time I done that, I guessed I did call her mom", he said putting on a smile, to him it felt right calling her mom cause she been there just like one.
"So, what do you wanna do until Fluttershy picks you up", Scootaloo asked putting on a smile.
"Maybe we can go to Sugarcube Corner", he said smiling as Scootaloo's eye's widen.
"NO!", she quickly yelled confusing the colt, then blushed in embarrassment with a sheepish smile.
"Uhh, can we just go somewhere else...besides Sugarcube Corner", Scootaloo asked with a nervous smile as he raised an eyebrow at that.
"Why", he asked as she was trying to think of an excuse, the colt walked narrowed his eye's at her as she was looking from side to side nervously.
"Scootaloo, are you keeping a secret from me", he asked with narrowed eye's as she shook her head no.
"W-Why would I keep a secret from you", she told him nervously and hopes that he won't find out about the surprise party.
"How about we go to the club house", she asked putting on a smile as he decided to forget about what Scootaloo is keeping from him and nodded putting on a smile as they started walking around Sweet Apple Acres while talking.
Later with Fluttershy pushing a cloud, the Wonderbolts show was gonna start in a half hour so she started looking for Spike everywhere in Ponyville.
"Spike, it's almost time to go see the Wonderbolts, where are you", she called flying around the town.
Then she saw him along with the Crusaders glaring at two other smirking fillies, she flew over to him with a smile so they can leave to see the Wonderbolts.
With the Crusaders, Spike and Scootaloo was glaring at a smirking Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon that keep trying to get the colt to hang out with them.
"Come on Spike, don't you wanna hang out with us instead of some flightless chicken", Diamond asked as her and Silver Spoon got close to him while fluttering their eyelashes with flirty smiles.
"Please..I'll never hang out with a couple of bi-bad ponies like you, now if you excuse me..I got a Wonderbolts show to catch", he told them as he can see Fluttershy's shadow above him and turned to her with a smile.
"Spike, it's time to go", she told him as he nodded, then Scootaloo smirked at the cruel fillies and nuzzled the colt with a smile causing his eye's to widen with a blush.
"I'll see you when you get back from the show Spike", she told him smiling as he suddenly smiled and nodded.
Then he stepped on the cloud as Fluttershy started pushing him towards Cloudsdale with a smirk and giggle.
With Scootaloo smirking at the two cruel fillies, "Spike don't need to hang out with fillies like you..now leave me and my friends alone", she told them with a glare.
"Fine, whatever blank flank", Diamond said in frustration as she stomped away with Silver Spoon following her, when they were at a distance her friends turned to her with smirks.
"Scootaloo..do you have a crush on Spike", Apple Bloom asked smirking causing the athletic filly's face to become crimson with wide eyes.
"N-No", she said glaring at her giggling and snickering friends red faced still.
"Then what was with that nuzzle you gave him", Button asked smirking as the filly was trying to look for an excuse.
"Yeah, you gave Diamond and Silver a glare that said he is mine", Sweetie Belle said smirking a Scootaloo glared at him.
"I don't have a crush on him", she told them as she turned and walked away, her friends followed her with smirks.
"I remember saying the same thing about me liking you", Sweetie Belle told her boyfriend giving him a kiss and nuzzle with a smile as he smiled and nuzzled her back.
"Same with you Tender", Apple Bloom told her boyfriend with a smile giving him a kiss a nuzzle as he smiled nuzzling her back.
After awhile, Fluttershy and Spike arrived at Cloudsdale and saw all kind of Pegasi flying in and out of the cloud city with smiles.
Then they saw a stadium with a bunch of Pegasi were flying into, Spikes eye's widen with a huge smile as he started fan boying.
"I can't believe I'm gonna see the Wonderbolts", he said flapping his tiny wings excitedly as he couldn't believe he's gonna see his idols.
Fluttershy giggled with a smile and glad to see him happy, they made it to the stadium entrance and the colt jumped off the cloud and ran to the line.
After awhile, a beaming Spike with a Wonderbolts hat on his head and tiny flag in his hoof was sitting in the front row with a smiling Fluttershy.
"Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls, the ponies you all been waiting for...the Wonderbolts", a pony said on the speakers as three Pegasi came flying out in blue and yellow jump suits and goggles.
"There they are mom, Soarin Spitfire and Fleetfoot", Spike said excitedly and didn't noticed he called her mom again, he watched them in awe as they started doing twist and turns and all kinds of stunts.
Then Soarin saw Fluttershy sitting next to Spike watching them with smiles, "so that's Spike, glad he was able to show up...her too", he thought to himself smiling, then continued to perform.
"Go Wonderbolts", Spike cheered waving his little flag around along with everypony else as they continued to watch the stunt show.
He never saw Fluttershy looking at him with a smile, then the kind pony went back to watching her friends perform.
A couple of hour's later, they were done performing for today as the show was over and the three Pegasi were exhausted.
Suddenly Soarin came flying up to him with a smile and took his goggles off since Spike was in front of a safety rail with a bunch of other colts and fillies that got front row.
"Here you go kid", he said gently tossing the goggles to Spike and flying away, the colt caught it in shock and disbelief that a Wonderbolt gave him his goggles, then he gave a huge smile and put the goggles in his saddle bag.
"I'm gonna wear it whenever I'm trying to get my stunt flying cutie marks", he said smiling as Fluttershy frowned.
"Just don't hurt yourself when your trying to get your cutie mark", she told him frowning as she hugged him and gave him a nuzzle.
Spike saw ponies looking at them with smiles as to them it was a mother nuzzling her little boy.
"Fluttershy, not in public please", he told her blushing in embarrassment as he can see fillies giggling at him and colts laughing, she broke the hug smiling as they know it's time to go backstage.
They walked out of the seating area as Spike ran towards the backstage entrance and got his pass out from his saddle bag, Fluttershy quickly followed him with a smile.
The colt showed the guard his pass as Fluttershy caught up to him, then the guard nodded and let them backstage as they walked in the cloud building.
Then Spike saw them as his eye's widen in shock and couldn't believe it, they smiled as they trotted up to them with smiles.
"You must be Spike Fluttershy told me about, nice to meet you kid..my names Soarin and this is my sister and Wonderbolt captain Spitfire, and this is Fleetfoot", Soarin introduced himself and his sister and friend with a smile as they waved.
"You three are the most badass-Spike-I mean awesome elite stunt flyers of all time", the colt said excitedly not seeing the stern look Fluttershy is giving him, the three ponies chuckled at his attitude.
"I heard you wanna be a Wonderbolt one day...she also told us that you don't know how to fly yet", Spitfire said with sympathy at the last sentence as he frowned and nodded.
Then he smirked, "but I will fly and be a Wonderbolt when I get older, and be the best stunt flyer of all of Equestria", he told them puffing his chest out causing them to admire his never quit attitude.
"Your pretty cocky kid, I'm pretty sure your end up a Wonderbolt when the time comes", Fleetfoot told him smirking as Fluttershy walked next to him with a smile.
"You will fly and be a Wonderbolt Spike, and I'll support you all the way", the kind pony told him as she nuzzled him with a smile.
"Thanks Fluttershy", he said smiling and nuzzling her back causing the three ponies to smile at them.
"You two look like you see each other as mother and son", Soarin told them smiling as his sister and Fleetfoot nodded, they broke the nuzzle as they didn't know what to say about that.
"Soarin Spitfire and Fleetfoot, it would be a dream come true to peform with you three when I become a Wonderbolt in the future", he told changing the subject as they smirked.
"It depends, would you be able to keep up with us in the future", Soarin asked as Spike smirked back.
"You bet I will", he said smirking as the three Pegasi smirked at him, they were liking the colts attitude more and more.
"If you ever need tips on being a great stunt flyer, just let me know and I'll teach you a thing or two..you know, if you ever learn to fly", Soarin told him smiling as Spike beamed at the thought of learning stunt tricks from a Wonderbolt.
"And don't worry Fluttershy, nothing will be too dangerous of a stunt", he told the worried kind pony with a smile as she smiled back.
Later after getting a few tips on stunts and autographed posters from them and thanking Soarin for the goggles and tickets and backstage pass, the sun was setting and it was time to go back to Ponyville as they were ready to leave.
"You seem like a good kid, maybe you can come and see how we practice at our Wonderbolt headquarters one day", Spitfire told him smiling as Spike beamed.
"Once I learn how to fly, I'll see how the Wonderbolts practice", he told them smiling.
"Spike, I'm going to go look for a cloud to push you on so we can go back home, wait here ok", Fluttershy told him smiling as he nodded, then she took off flying to look for a cloud big enough for him.
"You really can't fly huh", Spitfire asked with sympathy as the colt nodded with a frown, he really wants to fly but don't know how too and don't know anypony willing to teach him.
Then Fluttershy came back with a cloud as Spike hoped on it, they said bye and she started pushing the cloud towards Ponyville as Soarin watched them leave with a smile.
His sister and friend caught this and smirked, "you need to tell her how you feel Soarin, we both know you liked her since junior flight camp", Spitfire told him smirking as Fleetfoot nodded.
"Hey, I only see her as a friend ok...nothing more", he told them as he turned to them with a small blush and glare.
"Sure, and I'm totally a lesbian and I have a huge crush on Fleetfoot", Spitfire said laughing as Fleetfoot laughed too knowing that's not true and she doesn't swing that way.
When it was dark, Spike and Fluttershy made it to Ponyville as he hoped off the cloud with a huge smile.
"Spike, there's one more surprise I have for you after the party", Fluttershy told him smiling as he nodded.
"Come on, let's go to Sugarcube Corner", she said as they started walking towards the building, when they got there they walked in as Spike was confused as to why the lights were off.
Then the lights turned on as everypony jumped out of nowhere yelling, "SURPRISE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPIKE", he looked at everpony surprised that he got a surprise party.
"Thanks everypony", he told them as Scootaloo came walking up to him with a smile.
"Is this why you didn't want to come to Sugarcube Corner", he asked smiling as she gave a nervous smile and nodded.
Soon everypony was partying and mingling and wishing Spike a happy birthday, Scootaloo was giving jealous glares at some fillies that were talking to Spike and wishing him a happy birthday.
Rainbow came up to her glaring daughter that was staring at Toola Roola talking to Spike with a smile and giggling.
Then her eye twitched when she wished him a happy birthday and kissed his cheek and walked away with a blush causing him to smile.
"You jealous cause other fillies are kissing his cheek", Rainbow asked her daughter with a smirk.
"I'm not jealous..I'm not", she told her mother looking up at her, then she looked back at Spike and her eye's widen when she saw Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walk up to him smirking.
"Oh hell no", she said to herself through gritted teeth as Rainbow snickered, she knows her daughter is jealous that other fillies are sweet talking Spike and kissing his cheek.
With Spike glaring at Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara, "what do you two want", he asked glaring as they glared.
"Just wondering why you like hanging out with those losers", Diamond said glaring as Silver Spoon nodded.
"Yeah, why won't you hang out of cute fillies like us instead of the flightless loser", Silver Spoon asked smirking as he glared at them.
"Listen, you both could stay if you want", he told them glaring, then looked around to make sure Fluttershy wasn't nearby, then he smirked turning to them when she wasn't.
"But please, both of you's be a bitch somewhere else ok", he told them smirking as he started walking away, they stared in shock that he called them that again.
Later after the party, before everypony could go home and rest for the night Mayor Mare came up to Fluttershy with a smile with a saddle bag.
"I got the paper Fluttershy", she told her smiling as Spike turned to them confused.
"What paper", he asked confused as Fluttershy nuzzled him with a smile.
"Spike, remember what I told you about me having another surprise for you", asked smiling and breaking the nuzzle as he nodded putting on a smile.
"Well, the surprise is that the paper I asked Mayor Mare for ealier..is an adoption paper", she told him smiling as the Mayor took the paper out of her bag with her mouth.
Fluttershy grabbed a pencil with her mouth and signed her name and his name, Spike sat down in shock as he couldn't believe what Fluttershy told him, she finished signing the paper and Mayor Mare put it back in her saddle bag.
"Congratulations Fluttershy, as of tonight..you are officially a mother", Twilight told her friend smiling, then everyone turned to a shocked Spike and became concerned.
"Spike darling, are you ok with Fluttershy being you mother", Rarity asked hoping he doesn't hate her friend.
Then Spike started to smile feeling happy tear's in his eye's, he quickly wiped them with a hoof as Fluttershy rushed to him thinking he's upset with it.
"I'm sorry Spike, I shouldn't have sign that paper without asking you first..please don't hate me", she told him hugging him with a hurt look thinking he's gonna hate her for it.
"I-I don't hate you for it...I'm glad you signed it, this has been the best birthday ever mom", he told her hugging his mother and happy to have one again.
She sighed in relief, "I'm glad your not mad at me for it Spike...and happy birthday", she told her son putting on a smile and nuzzling him.
After everypony went home except for the Main 6 and the Crusaders, Spike was telling Scootaloo about the Wonderbolt show and how Soarin gave him his goggles.
Then they decided to call it a night, but before they could start walking or flying home.
Rarity hugged the colt and nuzzled him with a smile, "happy birthday Spikey-Wikey", she said kissing his cheek causing him to blush.
Then Twilight hugged him saying with a smile, "happy birthday Spike", then broke the hug as Pinkie gave him a huge hug with a beaming smile.
"Happy Birthday Spike", she said smiling, then she broke the hug as Applejack hugged him smiling.
"Happy Birthday surgarcube", she said smiling, then she broke the hug as Rainbow was the last to hug him with a smile.
"Happy Birthday Spike", she said smiling, then they broke the hug as everypony was gonna leave.
Then Scootaloo hugged him last causing her friends and mother to smirk, "happy birthday Spike", she said smiling as he smiled back.
Then she kissed his cheek with a blush and broke the hug and ran to her grinning giggling mother as she hoped on her back.
Spike stared at her for awhile with a shocked red face not seeing his mom smirking at him, then he started to smile looking at the filly.
After awhile with Spike and Fluttershy putting the autographed Wonderbolts poster's up in his room after she let him.
When they were done Spike had a smile on his face and put his new training goggles on his dresser.
Then he turned to his mother hugging her, "this has been the best birthday ever, thanks for giving me a home and everything you done for me..I love you mom", he told her for the first time smiling.
Then she hugged him back with a smile and nuzzling him affectionately, "your welcome and I love you too Spike, my little boy", she told him for the first time as she knows tomorrow will be officially the first day of being a mother.
