Chapter 7: New Jaegers and insight info

The Kaiju Alert system blared in the Hong Kong Shatterdome and blared out a warning to all active Rangers and their Jaegers including Phoenix Ronin.
"Warning! Jaeger Phoenix Ronin to deploy immediately! Kaiju Movement detected! Category IV! Codename Mongoose!"
Twilight instantly sprang up from her bed that sent her sheets flying a bit along with her pillow and started to wake up Flash while quickly speaking to him.
"Flash wake up! Movement in the breach and we're being deployed!
Flash just yawned in his boxers as he got up and sat on his bed as Twilight continued to speak while still clad in her undergarments while getting dressed.
"Biggest Kaiju Category IV yet, Codenamed: Mongoose!"
"What time is it?" Flash asked.
"Three." Twilight said as he was putting on his pants.
Flash then spoke, "Am? Seriously?"
"Yep and come on Flash that Kaiju isn't going to kill itself so, let's go and bag our 9th kill to date! We’re going to tie Azure Defiant’s record!" Twilight shouted.
Flash grumbled as he got up while Twilight got the last bit of her clothing on which Flash got to a part of their quarters to get properly changed which upon them being found out of getting closer, Marshall Stacker Pentecost had both Rangers share a room to help improve the Drift time.
"Hey Twily…." Flash said softly.
"What is it?" Twilight asked.
"Don't get cocky." Flash said.
Twilight smiled as Flash got dressed and five minutes later, both Rangers were in the Drivesuit Room getting their Drivesuits put on them.
Once that was done, they soon found themselves in the Conn-pod of their Jaeger getting ready to deploy as the Jaeger’s AI spoke up.
"Initiating launch operations, Phoenix Ronin…"
It was then that Tendo Choi came online and spoke to them, "Good Morning you two!"
"Tendo, how's it going my man?" Flash asked.
"How did that boys night out with the Wei Tang Triplets, the Hansens, and Alexis go for you?" Twilight asked.
"Oh it was fun, but word of advice; never make a bad sexual joke when a hooker is in the area for you'll get in trouble!" Tendo Choi said with a nervous laugh.
Both Rangers laughed and Flash spoke, "Dude, you're going to get serious whacked one day!"
"Alright let's focus and prepare for the drop in ten seconds..." Twilight said.
The Conn-Pod was soon dropped onto the Jaeger's body which upon contact, the Jaeger was completed after the Conn-Pod was secured. With that done, the Jaeger was moved outside as the Rangers inside made the final preparations.
"Alright Rangers prepare for Neural Handshake..." Marshall Stacker Pentecost said sternly.
"Staring Neural Handshake in 15 seconds..." Tendo Choi said as he worked.
Inside the Jaeger Flash looked at Twilight and spoke, "Ready to step inside of my head Twily?"
"Please you first, age before beauty you big Olaf..." Twilight said.
Flash rolled his eyes just seconds later, the Neural Handshake happened which they saw of the memories of each other flowing both good and bad including embarrassing childhood moments as well. Due to the fact they've gotten so used to it, this was just routine for them.
"Neural Handshake holding strong and steady..." Tendo Choi said.
"Left hemisphere calibrating..." Flash said while in the Jaeger.
"Right hemisphere calibrating..." Twilight said a second later.
After the Jaeger was calibrated like normal as both Twilight and Flash had gotten used to it and operating the Jaeger as Rangers of the PPDC, Marshall Stacker Pentecost spoke to the duo.
"Alright you two, this Category IV is the biggest one yet so use extreme caution."
"Yes sir." Flash said.
Twilight looked at Flash after the line went silent and gave him a look before the co-pilot of Phoenix Ronin then spoke to the former Royal Guard.
"You know what comes next right?"
"Twilight I'm in your brain so I know okay..." Flash said.
Twilight smiled and spoke, "Let's go fishing then! Here we go! Put your back into it!"
"Worry about yourself ya nerd!" Flash shouted.
Far away however, an explosion of various energies that formed into a portal opened and out stepped several Jaegers that at one point, were lost forever which the first Jaeger, which one of them looked like a cross between Gypsy Danger and a Robot from a boxing movie, looked around and looked at his other companions including a pink Jaeger.
"Okay, we're free now so I wonder where are we?"
"Don't ask us amigo because my sisters and I are just as confused as the rest of us including Azure Defiant here.”
"Guys this is Sierra Vigilant, I've picked up not just a Jaeger signature, but also a Kaiju Signature as well so let's go investigate."
While the team of Jaegers moved out, Phoenix Ronin on the other hand had arrived at the last known location of the Kaiju Mongoose. So far, the rangers weren't finding anything yet, but then in the storm they were in the Kaiju suddenly appeared.
As its code-name implied it looked like a mongoose, but it looked like a crossbreed with an Alligator and a Velociraptor while looking like a mongoose and was something out of hell's dominion. The Kaiju tried to take a swipe at the Jaeger, but quick thinking prevented them from getting hit.
"Firing Plasma Cannons now." Flash said.
"Firing now..." Twilight said seconds later.
After avoiding another strike, the Jaeger after ascending into the air fired its Plasma Cannons, which Tendo Choi far away detected as he then spoke.
"Discharge from the Cannons."
"Phoenix, what the hell's going on?" Marshall Stacker Pentecost asked.
"Job done, bagged our ninth kill, and heading back to base..." Twilight said.
"Good job and head back to base..." Marshall Stacker Pentecost said sternly.
But then back at the Shatterdome Tendo Choi noticed something on his holographic map and without hesitating for a second, quickly grabbed the communication system and quickly spoke.
"Kaiju signature is rising! That Kaiju is still alive!"
Marshall Stacker Pentecost quickly spoke, "Phoenix! That thing is still kicking, keep your eyes open!"
Back out in the field, the Jaeger was looking around for the Kaiju when the creature jumped out of the ocean and tried to grab the Jaeger's head which at the same time far away, the group of mysterious Jaegers saw this and came up with an ambush plan to save the Japanese Jaeger. Inside the Conn-Pod, it was very stressful though Flash was handling it a bit better than Twilight for some reason.
"Twilight! You know what to do!" Flash shouted.
"Right! I got this!" Twilight said while activating the left Plasma Cannon.
But then the Kaiju saw the move coming used its sharp horned teeth and with one swift motion, bit the lower left arm off causing Twilight to clutch her left arm and scream in pain. In the Shatterdome, Tendo Choi reported the left arm Plasma Cannon went cold. Flash saw this and went into action.
"I got this bastard!" Flash shouted while activating the right Plasma Cannon.
But the Kaiju was quick and quickly severed the lower right arm before using some gak from its teeth to prevent the shoulder missiles from firing.
Inside the Conn-Pod, both Rangers thought that this was the end for the both of them and both each saw each other’s regrets: Twilight's was not making amends to her friends and family while Flash's was not making things right for his bad habit of masturbating to porn magazines.
"Well it looks like we're both boned..." Flash said sadly.
"Yes and Flash, I was fortunate to have meet you. Also, I want you to hear this: I......always had a soft spot for you!" Twilight shouted.
Flash blushed a bit and replied, "Truth is, I've been honored to have met you. Also, I accidentally destroyed one of your books when I was doing some outdoor cooking during the fall one time sorry!!"
"What!?! You did that to my book on Camping!?!" Twilight shouted.
Just before the end could come, two rail cannon shots came out of the blue along with four Plasma shots and three missiles which struck the Kaiju causing it to stumble away from the stricken Jaeger as they saw a mysterious purple Jaeger then appear and punched the Kaiju further away.
Five more Jaegers appeared which one looked like Optimus Prime from Transformers, but Jaeger sized , one looked similar to Gypsy Danger though it was pink, another was dark blue in color that was a fusion between Gyspy Danger and Cherno Alpha, one was silver with bits of red, and another looking like a wrestler warrior though it had four arms as she heard voices.
"Leave our mother---ing friends alone!"
"You want to mess with them El Cockroach? You mess with us as well amigo!”
"You're in big trouble you damn bloody Kaiju!"
Twilight and Flash saw the mysterious purple Jaeger pull out a gun which they heard one of them speak while rushing the Kaiju in a hurry.
"Arming the KSG Shotgun!"
Back at the Shatterdome, Tendo Choi noticed more Jaeger signatures and spoke with shock as his mind tried to wrap around this sudden rush of reinforcements of Jaegers.
"Third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth signatures detected.......my.......god........it's........Noisy Boy, Azure Defiant, Pink Lion, Musketeer V, Sierra Vigilant, and El Tornado........Marshall...."
"What?! I thought those Jaegers were destroyed?! Noisy Boy the Japanese Mark 4 Jaeger, Azure Defiant the Filipino Mark 4.5 Jaeger, Pink Lion the UK Mark 4 Jaeger, Musketeer V the France Mark 3.5 Jaeger, Sierra Vigilant the Mark 5 Canadian Jaeger, and El Tornado the Mexican Mark 2 Jaeger…" Stacker Pentecost said stunned.
Back out on the battlefield despite getting damaged, Phoenix Ronin was able to still work though they saw the four-armed Jaeger clear off the gak off the shoulder missiles allowing the Jaeger to fight back a little bit.
Working with the mystery Jaegers, the Jaeger put down the Kaiju for good which once that was done, Marshall Stacker Pentecost contacted the mystery Jaegers starting with Noisy Boy.
"Noisy Boy, where the hell have you been the last five years? Same goes for the other Jaegers which are El Tornado, Musketeer V, Sierra Vigilant, Pink Lion and Azure Defiant..." Marshall Stacker Pentecost said sternly.
One of the pilots of the pack of mystery Jaegers then proceeded to contact Marshall Stacker Pentecost as the others kept watch for other Kaiju.
"The three of us were fighting a Kaiju when a mysterious portal appeared sucking three of us in while the other three each were on patrols in the northern part of the Pacific one day when they got lost in a storm and fell into the same mystery portal that caused all of us were in suspend animation before we got freed which next thing we all know, we come saving a Jaeger from a Kaiju."
"Okay, who are you guys?" Flash asked.
The Jaegers looked at Phoenix Ronin as one of them spoke, "I'm H20 Delirious and my partner-in-crime is Vanoss. We pilot the Japanese Mark 4 Jaeger Noisy Boy. That four-armed Jaeger is El Tornado a Mexico Mark 2 Jaeger piloted by four sisters who share the same last name Del Toro which the ladies are Bianca, Lily, Jasmine, and Marina. The Optimus Prime-like Mark 5 Philippians Jaeger is Azure Defiant piloted by the husband and wife duo Victor and Rayne."
Flash then spoke, "My name is Flash Sentry, a former resident of Equestria."
"I'm Twilight Sparkle also a former resident of Equestria..." Twilight said.
"Well then amigos, welcome to the PPDC." Marina Del Toro said warmly.
"No need for that for Flash and I have been members of the PPDC for the last six to seven months." Twilight said calmly.
Flash nodded and spoke, "Alright then let's head on back to the Shatterdome to explain everything."
"Wait which one because last I recalled, Noisy Boy and El Tornado were both at the Panama City Shatterdome while Pink Lion and Musketeer V were at the Sydney Shatterdome with Striker Eureka, and Azure Defiant and Sierra Vigilant were both stationed at the Anchorage Shatterdome with Gypsy Danger so, what happened?" Bianca Del Toro asked in confusion.
"While you six were gone, the Kaiju War has gotten worse as more Jaegers fell one by one with the exception of Crimson Typhoon, Cherno Alpha, and Striker Eureka as Gypsy Danger was rotting in Oblivion Bay before being rescued and fixed up while Phoenix Ronin this Jaeger Twilight and I pilot was still being built, the UN A-holes saw fit to shut down the Jaeger Program, close down all Shatterdomes except for Hong Kong Shatterdome, and diverted all funding from the Jaeger Program causing Phoenix Ronin's construction to come to a snail's pace speed though it wasn't named yet as it was a special Jaeger which the money then went to the Wall of Life Project which failed horribly in Sydney. Add insult to injury is the fact that the UN A-holes refused to refund the Jaeger Program until Twilight and I came along and got a bit more funding even though it's not much." Flash said.
"Well crap, UN idiots being dumbasses usual..." Vanoss said with a frown.
"Indeed..." Bianca Del Toro said with cynicism.
"Yep as Big Mac would say. Let's get going then," said Flash.
It was then that El Tornado picked up the severed lower arms of Phoenix Ronin and Marina Del Toro spoke with a joking voice and tone.
"Wait, we can't forget the arms amigos in what I call Farewell to arms!"
"Seriously, you're bad at jokes...."
The voice came from one of the two pilots of Pink Lion who was Jasmine Tudor. Her co-pilot was her identical twin sister Lenore Tudor. Then, one of the pilots of Sierra Vigilant then spoke up.
"Come on, you're a load of fun..."
Twilight then spoke, "Who is that?"
"Oh, that's Diego Dawson, one of the two pilots of Sierra Vigilant while his partner is his adopted brother Mikazuki Dawson who came from Japan, but became a resident of Canada years ago. The pilots of Pink Lion are sisters Jasmine and Lenore Tudor. For Musketeer V, they're Marcus Cruz and his married domestic partner Louis Cruz, both are hot heads." Marina Del Toro said.
Once everyone got refocused before heading back to the Hong Kong Shatterdome which after everyone docked and the Jaegers were being serviced, the Rangers met with Stacker Pentecost in his office though all around the Shatterdome, some personal were excited by the addition of not three, but six more Jaegers.
The Del Toro sisters were identical quadruplets as they all had really short black hair and jade eyes. The Drivesuits of the four were a sky blue with golden yellow accents each with an eight-star emblem on their chest-plates carefully and were that of what reminded Flash as Mixed-Martial Arts or Ultimate Fighter with the sleek, but deadly design patterns along with classic Mexican wrestler designs as well.
The Drivesuits of the rangers of Azure Defiant were mostly dark blue and dark gray with gold for the joints and for the PPDC eagle along with red on the shoulders.
Also, Twilight and Flash explained how they joined which the Del Toro sisters understood as they were once orphans who stole food to live along with doing street mixed-martial arts and street boxing after their parents died before becoming members of the PPDC.
H20 Delirious and Vanoss were both like riddles as they had little background not to mention they wore helmets that reminded Flash of Daft Punk when they didn't have their black and midnight blue Drivesuit helmets on with the rest of their suits that looked a bit futuristic in Twilight's opinion.
The pilots of Pink Lion were red and dark pink with black accents as two sisters were blondes with gray eyes as one had short, boyish hair while the other was shoulder length.
Both sisters were on vacation in America when the Kaiju hit and were among the first to join the PPDC when it first formed up. Jasmine was the serious one while her sister was the goofy, but competent one.
Nearby, the French pilots of Musketeer V leaned against the walls of the office looking down. Marcus Cruz was a red-head that went with his brown eyes. His married partner Louis Cruz on the other hand was shaven clean for his head, but did sport green eyes.
Their outfits were red with dark blue for secondary colors and white for accents. They didn't say much, but were both at an LGBT meeting in Sydney when the Kaiju attacked prompting them to join the PPDC according to the Del Toro sisters.
As for the Dawson brothers, Diego was a dirt blonde male with gray eyes while his adopted brother Mikazuki had greenish blue eyes and black hair.
Their outfits were mostly white with red as a secondary color with the Canadian flag on the front chest piece as the duo both smiled at being home again.
"Team Noisy Boy, Team El Tornado, Team Pink Lion, Team Sierra Vigilant, Team Musketeer V, and Team Azure Defiant welcome back for you helped avoid another Knifehead attack..." Marshall Stacker Pentecost said.
"Yep and wait if Gypsy Danger is here, is by any chance the Beckett Brothers are here too?" H20 Delirious asked.
"Raleigh is here, but Yancy on the other hand is not because he's dead....killed in action during a fight against the Kaiju Knifehead five years ago shortly before you six vanished." Marshall Stacker Pentecost said somberly.
The Rangers nodded and H20 Delirious asked, "So, who's his new co-pilot?"
"My adopted daughter Mako Mori..." Marshall Stacker Pentecost said..
"Oh! Little Mako? She's grown up now? If you excuse me, I have some catching up to do!" Jasmine Tudor.
She then left leaving everyone confused which Lily Del Toro spoke, "Well that was strange amigos, but we'll see how Mako's doing ourselves."
Lily's sisters both followed suit along with Jasmine's sister for some girl time as on the other hand, the rest of the Rangers stayed as Twilight looked at the pilots of Noisy Boy and spoke to them.
"So if your Jaeger is built in Japan, how are you two drift compatible?"
"Easy gaming." Vanoss said happily.
"And I'm from the USA while Vanoss is from Canada." H20 Delirious said.
Diego then spoke, "My home! Awesome, except for idiots running the Canadian government."
After that was done, the Rangers were dismissed as the six Jaegers were getting settled in, Newt on the other hand in the K-Lab was about to do something very stupid if not dangerous though in his mind it would work even if it'd kill him in the process. After setting up the necessary gear, Newt started to record his attempt at drifting with a Kaiju brain fragment.
"Okay now, Kaiju Drift Experiment Take 1. So yeah, the frontal lobe part of the Kaiju brain sample is damaged which means that there's no telling what might happen next, but Herman if you're listening to these recordings you forced me to do this. If this works, ha ha then I've won, but even if I die I'll still have won!" Newt said to himself.
Picking up a remote he spoke again, "Here goes nothing for I'm going in! Initiating Neural Handshake in 3...........2..........1."
Newt then drifted with the Kaiju brain fragment first seeing his own memories before seeing the memories of the Kaiju that gave him some insider info of the Kaiju which at the same time he was coming back to reality, Herman came in to the K-Lab and ran to help Newt.
"Newton! What have you done?!" Herman shouted.
Newt said nothing as he was shaking like a leaf when Twilight and Flash walking past the K-Lab saw what was wrong with Newt came in and quickly used their respective magic to help stabilizing the Kaiju Scientist/Nerd. Once stabilized, Herman and the pilots of Phoenix Ronin looked at Newt.
"Newt what did you just do?" Twilight asked in worry.
"He drifted with a Kaiju brain sample just like when he did with that Changeling Dragon sample a while back..." Herman said.
Flash looked at Newt and spoke, "Newt, what did you see because last time you did this we got little information on the Changeling Dragons so what's different about this time?"
Newt once he was okay spoke, "Well unlike the Changeling Dragons who aren't a hive mind as each one is different which is why I wasn't able to get much information, the Kaiju on the other hand are actually Bio-Weapons created by some alien race called the Precursors which are not like the ones from the Halo Franchise. The Category 1 through 4 Kaiju? Well, those were just the Vanguard force testing the waters as their creators have tried to take over this planet before back during the age of the Dinosaurs, but the conditions weren't perfect back then which now because of us polluting our own planet including the depletion of the O-Zone Layer, well we've practically Terra-formed it for them! That's why they're sending Kaiju here to this world which then Exterminators which I theorize are the Category V's and beyond will come in and finish the job which then the Kaiju creators or Precursors will then take over the planet and consume it as they have done before many time!"
"What about my home? Did they try there as well?" Flash asked in concern.
"Well it turns out they did try to invade your home dimension or universe, but got forced back by some magical means, but they're going to try again with some help!" Newt shouted.
Both Twilight and Flash got scared at the thought of Kaiju invading their old homes which Twilight spoke, "Newt, I need you do that Drift thing again so you can find more information about these two revelations."
"I'm sorry, but unless we have a fresh Kaiju Brain lying around I can't..." Newt said.
"Alright Flash and I will inform the Marshall about this..." Twilight said calmly.
"Okay then..." Newt said as he sat on the floor.
Both Rangers left and caught up to Marshall Stacker Pentecost in the LOCCENT Mission Control Room which Twilight spoke to him.
"Marshall, there's something Flash and I need to tell you."
"What is it?" Marshall Stacker Pentecost asked.
Flash then spoke, "Newt drifted with a Kaiju brain sample."
"What!?!" Marshall Stacker Pentecost shouted.
The trio hastily ran back to the K-Lab where Newt and Herman were waiting which Newt spoke upon the trio's arrival while trying to smile.
"See? I told you it'd work!"
"Looks like you just did." Marshall Stacker Pentecost said.
Without wasting a second, Newt told Stacker Pentecost everything he found out during his brief Drifting with the Kaiju brain piece which the Marshall spoke to him.
"I need you to do that again, I need more information."
"Well like what I said to Twilight and Flash, unless you have a fresh Kaiju brain lying around here.....I can't. Wait, you do?" Newt asked in confusion.
With a nod from the Marshall, Herman activated a nearby computer console which Stacker Pentecost then grabbed a nearby disk and inserted it into the computer.
"I know a group that can help." Marshall Stacker Pentecost said calmly.
"Black Market Dealers right?" Newt asked.
Marshall Stacker Pentecost nodded and spoke, "Yes, they're in and out quickly after they neutralize the acidic factor in the Kaiju blood that allows them to harvest what they need. Now watch carefully everyone in the footage is Hannibal Chau."
"Who's he?" Newt asked.
Stacker Pentecost pointed to a lone man in a rather fancy getup with white hair as he was overlooking the harvesting of a Kaiju in the footage and spoke.
"He runs the Kaiju Black Market here in Asia and I once went to him for help, gave him exclusive rights to all remaining Kaiju parts and even the Changeling Dragon remains the latter group fetches a very high price on the Black Market about 1,000 US Dollars per gram due to how rare the remains are."
"Wait, you did that?" Newt asked.
"Final days of war ladies and gentleman. Newt, you'll find him at the corner of Wei Street and one last thing, don't ever trust him..." Stacker Pentecost said with caution.
For soon, the winds of combat would blow again....
